Team Mystic managed to win their first match in the Worldwide Supreme Tournament. They've advance, but now it's time for them to get serious. Another reason they're taking part in this tournament is so they can find the six Malicious Fiends. They know Raika has one, but now it seems that another duelist has gotten their hands on one of them. Knowing that, the team heads to Egypt because the duelist who has that card is suppose to appear in another match for the tournament.

"Well, here we are." Cindy said as Team Mystic arrived in a city right in Egypt's desert.

"Do you really think we'll find whoever it is that has one of the Malicious Fiends?" Kent said.

"If whoever has it is really competing in the tournament, and Muyang was right, we'll see whoever it is right here." Felix said. "We better let Justin know about this."

"Who are the two teams competing?" Yukina questioned.

"Let me do a quick check." Cindy said as she took out her DPA and had a look. "It looks like the two teams are between a team that's from right here in Egypt, Team Desert, going against a team that came all the way from the France, Team Camelot."

"Camelot? You mean like the legendary kingdom that belonged to King Arthur?" Felix questioned.

"So one of them holds a Malicious Fiend. We better keep our eyes open for whoever it might be." Yukina said.

"What's the big deal?" Marcus questioned. "Are these Malicious Fiends really that big of a deal?" Since Marcus is new to all of this, he doesn't really know what he's getting into. All of them wondered what they should tell him.

"Guys, since Marcus is going to be tagging along with us, we might as well tell him." Felix said. "Besides, if we don't, Marcus might go and do something crazy like try to take on one of them by himself."

"You're right about that." Yukina said.

"Hey! What's so wrong about taking on a strong challenge?" Marcus questioned.

"Because the Malicious Fiends aren't just regular cards, Marcus. They're more dangerous than you might think." Yukina said. Deciding that Marcus needs to know the truth, they all found a spot where they could tell Marcus all about how dangerous the cards are. They told him all about Life Destroyer, and how the Black Ace wanted to use the power for evil purposes.

"Come on. You're pulling my leg." Marcus said. "You're saying that this Life Destroyer can actually drain the actual energy out of whoever it fights, and the damage made by that card was real?"

"We're not joking around, Marcus." Yukina claimed. "The power Life Destroyer had is so dangerous that it had to be sealed away in my home village. It would still be there if it wasn't for Raika and Diego of the Black Ace."

"Life Destroyer alone caused a lot of harm and damage." Kent said. "You can imagine how surprised we were to hear that there are five others out there."

"And we don't know anything about what the other five are like." Cindy said. One can imagine about how concerned they would be about them.

"That's why we're here." Yukina said. "We need to make sure history doesn't repeat itself and to ensure those cards don't cause any harm. We need to find them before people like the Black Ace can use them."

"If someone already has one, this could be real bad. We're probably bound to face whoever it is eventually, so we need to find out just who it is we're dealing with." Felix said.

"Well, the match isn't until later tonight." Yukina said as she got up and started walking. "Let's find a hotel for us to check into, and maybe we can..." She kept walking until she ended up walking into someone. "Oh... Sorry about that. I guess I wasn't paying attention."

"It's fine." The guy she ran into had dark skin and had short auburn hair. When he took a look as to who it was, she was rather surprised. "Wait a minute. Aren't you Yukina Osama?"

"Yeah. Who are you?" Yukina questioned.

"It's a pleasure to meet you. My name is Abasi. I happen to be the leader of Team Desert." He introduced with them surprised that they would already come across a member of Team Desert, let alone the leader. When they met with Abasi, they had him join them in their little discussion. "This is certainly a surprise. I never thought I would meet with Yukina, at least not until we got to face each other in the tournament."

"And we didn't expect to run into you so soon, Abasi." Yukina said.

"Since you know Yukina, I take it that means you saw Duel Battlers." Felix said.

"Yeah. Everyone is talking about it. It was one big event up until this tournament." Abasi said. "So, what brings you guys here? I took a look at the tournament schedule, and it doesn't look like we would face each other for a long time. What brings you guys to Egypt?"

"We're here because we heard a duelist uses a card called a Malicious..." Marcus didn't get to finish that as Yukina and Cindy stomped down on both of his feet and got him to shut up.

"Uh... Ignore him. He likes to run his mouth and say a bunch of nonsense." Yukina claimed. "We have some time before our next match since we just got done with our own, so we thought we check out some more of the tournament ourselves."

"I see... Trying to learn more about the competition." Abasi said. "It's okay. I would have done the same. It's a strategical move."

"So, why do you call yourselves Team Desert?" Cindy asked.

"It's because we want to inherit our Egyptian culture and stand for all of Egypt." Abasi said. "We're being sponsored by a famous museum, and they say they would put a history of dueling in if we win the tournament. Did you guys know that the origins of Duel Monsters traces back to right here in ancient Egypt."

"Actually, I did." Yukina said. "Some believe that these cards hold great mystic powers. Of course, it's not just from Egypt. It could tied to legends all around the world."

"That actually makes museums sound interesting." Kent said.

"Abasi, we have no intention of losing this tournament, but I love what you're fighting for." Yukina said as she held out her hand to him. "I hope we get to face each other."

"Same here." Abasi said as the two of them shook hands. Sounds like they might have found a good friend and competitor.

The Streets

Meanwhile, someone was arriving into Egypt by a limo. One of the passengers was a young man with perfectly combed brunette hair. He wore a red fancy jacket with him wearing a purple dress shirt with black dress pants. Whoever this young man is, he exudes fanciness and wealth. He's clearly of the wealthy class and takes pride in it, but who is he and what is he doing here? Is he one of the competitors?

It was starting to get late, but that means the upcoming match is going to start soon. As for their mission, Yukina and the others contacted Justin and informed them what they already know.

"So one of the teams in the match between Team Camelot and Team Desert might hold one of the Malicious Fiends?" Justin questioned. "It's good you found out. If you find out who has it, observe but do not engage in confrontation. We don't know how dangerous this could be. Be careful." He claimed before the call ended.

"Do you think it's possible Abasi or anyone in Team Desert has one of the Malicious Fiends?" Kent questioned.

"I hope not. Abasi seemed really nice." Cindy said.

"It's going to take someone with power and a dark heart to use one of those cards." Yukina said. "Those cards can unleash some dangerous power for the duelist as well." The five of them kept moving until they saw a limo pulled up near a fancy hotel, and the red carpet was even rolled out for him. They all looked and saw the wealthy guy step out.

"Who is that? A celebrity?" Kent questioned.

"Don't think so. Probably one of those spoiled rich brats." Marcus said.

"Who cares? Let's just get to the match." Yukina said. All of them just ignored what they saw, but he did notice them and seems to have taken a slight interest in them.

"Excuse me, sir. Here it is." A servant of his said as he opened a briefcase and revealed a deck and duel disk. "Best of luck to you."

"Appreciated, but I don't need luck." He claimed as this duelist himself is clearly going to be in the match. Perhaps Yukina and the others should have paid closer attention to him.

The Arena

"Welcome, everyone! It's now time for us to begin the match between Team Desert against Team Camelot!" The Egyptian version of M.C. announced as everyone gathered for it. Yukina and her friends were in the stands and were excited to see their new friend compete. "Now, here comes our very own Team Desert!" Abasi and his team were lifted up from the floor and everyone was excited to see them in action.

"Good luck out there, Abasi!" Yukina called. Abasi spotted her and the others with him giving them the thumbs-up.

"And now, all the way from France, here's Team Camelot!" M.C. announced. Everyone was expecting to see a team, but they were all surprised to see it was just one man.

"It's that rich guy from before!" Marcus said as everyone was shocked to see it was just one guy.

"This is rather weird. The only one for Team Camelot is Arthur Lance, the heir of their sponsors, the Lance Family." M.C. announced.

"The Lance Family?! I've heard of them! They're the wealthiest family in all of France!" Felix said.

"He's sponsored by his own family? Is that really allowed?" Kent questioned.

"It apparently is." Cindy said.

"What is this? Where's the rest of Team Camelot?" Abasi questioned.

"They're not needed. I figured I make a good impression on the tournament considering I might not have many chances to partake." Arthur claimed. "You should be honored. If you can defeat me, you have nothing to worry about. Defeating me will be a true showing of your skills and your deck. I doubt there would be anyone else who can compete with you."

"Is this guy for real?" Marcus questioned.

"He's pretty confident." Kent said. "Ha. Imagine the look on his face when he ends up getting beaten."

"I wouldn't be too sure about that." Yukina said as she was getting a bad feeling. "I don't think he's bluffing or overconfident. He doesn't seem like the type."

"You think you can beat us that easily? I'll be happy to prove you wrong." Abasi said as he stepped forward to take this challenge.

"This is rather unusual, but it looks like the match is going to happen regardless." M.C. announced. Abasi and Arthur were ready for this as the two of them took their positions and got ready for a duel.

"Let's duel!" Both of them said as the duel was starting with 4000LP.

"Unlike you, I won't boast." Abasi said as he was going first. "I'll summon a monster facedown, and I'll place one other card facedown." 'This guy is asking for it. When he attacks, I'll have Man-Eater Bug ready to destroy whatever monster he throws. Then, I'll activate Embodiment of Apophis to attack with on my next turn.'

"Is that all? What a pity. I was hoping for this to be more exciting. My turn!" Arthur said as he drew his card. "I activate Scapegoat. This gives me four tokens to sacrifice." He claimed as four little lambs appeared on his field with 0def points. "I only need two for me to summon this. Prepare to witness a monster you might not see again. Appear, Malicious Fiend: Dark Warrior!"

"Malicious Fiend?!" Yukina said as she and her friends were surprised to hear that. He offered two of his tokens and in it's place came an armored dark giant that was surrounded by dark power, carrying a mighty sword and shield. It also had 2800atk points.

"I don't believe it!" Yukina said.

"That must be the one we were told about! That means...it's him! He's the duelist that has it!" Felix said. Seeing Arthur with this card changes everything.

"Before we begin the fun, my warrior needs a better weapon. I activate Sword of Lancelot and equip it right with my warrior!" Arthur said as he played a spell with his warrior's sword changing into a more elegant one. "I activate Dark Warrior's ability! It can switch your monster's battle position and negate all of it's special abilities!"

"It can do what?!" Abasi said as he wasn't expecting that.

"Go, Curse Enforcement!" Arthur ordered with his warrior shining a light from its shield that forced Abasi's Man-Eater Bug into attack mode with 450atk points, but all of it's abilities are blocked. "Now crush that little bug! Attack with Chaos Demise!" His warrior unleashed a powerful slash that destroyed Abasi's bug and caused his life points to drop all the way to 1550. "I'm afraid this duel is already over. Sword of Lancelot allows my warrior to attack twice!" That was bad for Abasi. "Attack!" His warrior unleashed a second attack as it unleashed power in its slash. Abasi got hit hard by the attack with Abasi being blown against the wall and his life points dropping all the way to zero.

"Unreal!" Cindy said as she and everyone was shocked to see this. "He beat Abasi so easily!"

"No way..." Marcus said as he never saw one card with such destructive power. It got even worse for him when he saw a gash right in the ground where Dark Warrior first attacked. "How did that happen? Wait. You said these things can deal real damage? There's...no way..." He now sees what makes the Malicious Fiends dangerous.

"It's powers is different from Life Destroyer's, but it still powerful." Felix said.

"Yeah, but there's something else." Yukina said as she noticed something off. "It doesn't look like Arthur is overtaken by the darkness by that card. How can that be?" This was very strange. Arthur seems to have control over a Malicious Fiend. Not everyone can handle the power of those cards. How is it Arthur is able to? "Arthur Lance... Who are you?" At least now they know where one of the Malicious Fiends is, but what the duelist himself? It would seem they have a dangerous competitor in this tournament.
