Let's take a look back to what happened before the tournament officially started. Justin wanted Yukina and her friends to form their own team, but Cray turned it down. The reason was because the only person he wants to defeat in the whole world is Yukina. He can't do that if they're on the same team. After that, he went out on his own and didn't seem to look back. He is still rather interested in joining the tournament, but he needs to find a way to be on an official team to do just that. That's why he's traveled far. There were still a couple countries that were holding tests for those who want to be on a team. That's why he went all the way to Zimbabwe. He traveled under the scorching sun and was trying to get to the exhibition match to become part of the team.

"Just you wait, Yukina. The next time we meet will be in battle." Cray said as defeating Yukina is his own personal goal. He kept walking through the place until he noticed someone just sitting on a rock and appeared to be in a meditative state. The guy sitting upon there had dark skin with curly dark hair. He wore gold hooped earrings with him wearing a red top that bared his shoulders and wore beige pants.

"Okay. Just stay calm and everything should be just fine." He told himself as it seemed like he was rather anxious about something.

"Hey!" Cray called and gave the good scare. "Is a place called Mackoo near here?"

"Yes. It's just down that way." The guy said as he pointed ahead. Cray looked to the edge of a cliff and could see a town up ahead that looked a little rundown, but it's where he's going. "Are you going there to try and be part of a team for the Worldwide Supreme Tournament? I'm heading there myself."

"Is that so? Be sure to stay clear. Once I get down there, I'm tearing down anyone who gets in my way." Cray said as he made his way down with the guy feeling a little nervous.

...

Mackoo

"Welcome, duelists from all around! You are here because you wish to compete in the Worldwide Supreme Tournament! I am a proud general for Zimbabwe and will gladly represent it! I will also be the sponsor for this team!" He announced as many duelists were gathered in an arena for this moment, including Cray. "Sadly, Zimbabwe is a struggling country! That is why we will accept duelists from outside this lovely country! Not only will you be a team of Zimbabwe, but you will also represent the entire country! You must prove that you are truly deserving to enter the Worldwide Supreme Tournament."

"Sounds like he's putting on the pressure." Cray said, but pressure won't get to him. "I just wonder who here can actually keep up with me." He looked around to see who might be just right for him. Who is deserving to fight alongside him? As he looked around, it was like some sort of instinct kicked right in. He looked to the side and spotted someone that stood out. The guy had copper skin with beige pants with a green top and had small orange jacket over him. He had bandages tied around his arms, but his most distinct features was his brown hair with blonde highlights and had tribal markings around his eyes. Sensing Cray's glare and there was some strong tension between them. One of the other competitors was the guy that Cray ran into earlier.

"I wonder what these bracelets are for." The guy questioned with a large guy in overalls standing right next to him.

"Duh. It's for whatever it is we're doing." The big guy said.

"Now, it's time to start the qualifications for the Zimbabwe team!" The general announced. "Each of you has been given a bracelet! That bracelet can be your lifeline for the team! Now, we will begin!" All of the bracelets went active with a green light and all of them had a number on it. "The bracelets are now active! You mission is to keep your bracelet safe! You all will duel each other! If you lose a duel, your bracelet will deactivate and fall right off! The green light indicates that it's active! The number indicates how many active bracelets are left! When there are only three left, the ones wearing them will form the team!"

"So you just need to one of the last three still holding a bracelet. That's no different than the Survival Duel." Cray claimed.

"However, even if you lose your bracelet, it's not over!" The general announced. "Sometimes you win by luck, but this test will indicate that you do have skill! If you win against someone that has a bracelet when you don't, you can reactivate the bracelet and claim it as your own, but don't get any ideas! The bracelets shut off in five seconds after falling off! That way, you can't take a discarded bracelet and place it back on! They also won't reactivate if you lose a duel and try to get it back on!"

"A free for all." Cray said as this means that even if you lose, you still have a chance.

"Now for your dueling field!" The general announced as the gates opened up. "Your field is all of Mackoo and the mountains surrounding it! It's a battle royale! Be one of the last ones standing! Now, let the test commence!" The qualifying match now begins with all of the duelists racing out or facing each other right there. The guy Cray ran into earlier tried making a run for it, but the big guy tripped him and took off.

"Hey!" He called.

"What?! You got to do what it takes to be one of the last three standing!" The big guy said and took off.

"Well, at least I'll get to rage." Cray said as Hurricane Cray is starting to blow.

...

Cray

Cray took part in the qualifying test. He didn't feel the need to hide or anything. He took whoever came at him and defeated many duelists at once. With Storm Dragon, Cray blew right through the competition and took out many duelists. Their bracelets fell off and the number on Cray's bracelet dropped down to 49.

"Come back and challenge me when you kids are grown-up." Cray mocked.

"This guy is crazy strong!"

"I can't believe he was able to beat all of us!" This was almost too easy for Cray, and he hasn't really found anyone that meets his standards. Just then, he heard an explosion going off from around the corner. He went to check it out and noticed the number dropped to 44. Cray went to see the damage and saw only one duelists still standing, the guy with the tribal tattoos.

"Him..." Cray said as the guy did get his attention earlier. He took a look around and saw the guy did some damage.

"You hear because you want some?" The guy asked when he noticed Cray.

"Did you really beat these guys by yourself? Not bad." Cray said. "Tell me, what is your name."

"What's yours?" The guy asked.

"It's Cray. Are you really a strong duelist?"

"I think the results speak to himself." The guy said. "If we're not going to duel, I'm out of here. I have no interest in dueling against weak opponents."

"I assure you, I'm not weak." Cray said.

"There! Get them!" Cray noticed some guys were coming at them, but he made quick work of them. The guy took notice and could see he was stood corrected

"My apologies. You are quite strong. By the way, my name is Sima."

"You mean like the lion cub from some famous movie?" Cray questioned.

"Close, but no." Sima said. Just then, more duelists were coming at them from both sides. "This is getting annoying" He claimed as he looked ready to take off.

"You're going to run?" Cray questioned.

"We just need to hold on the bracelet until there are only three left." Sima said. "We don't have to defeat every one until there is."

"Well, I'm not running, and I don't like duelists that would rather run than face the challenge." Cray said. "There's an opponent that I am aiming to defeat, and until I do, I'm not running from anyone." Sima was rather impressed with Cray. Cray went on the offense and attacked some duelists with his deck. As he was doing that, he heard an explosion go off and saw that Sima started to fight back.

"You're quite the character, Cray. So what do you say we hold off on facing each other?" Sima said. Cray's starting to take a liking to this guy. With that, the two of them started to fight together. While they were fighting, the first stranger that Cray ran into earlier watched them

...

Later

The sun was starting to go down and some duelists were taken out, but that just means they're going to go after the ones with bracelets still on. That means that Sima and Cray are still targets.

"Tell me, Sima, why do you want to enter this tournament?" Cray questioned as the two of them walked together.

"There aren't that many duelists where I come from." Sima said. "The ones that are there aren't much of a challenge to me. I'm hoping that if I can enter the tournament, I can find stronger opponents for me to face."

"So you're looking for something more challenging. I can respect that." Cray said.

"What about you? You mentioned there's someone you want to do defeat." Sima said.

"There is. It's someone I want and will defeat." Cray claimed. "I came here to get in the tournament so that I can face her. That's why I came all the way out here. I do have to say that I'm starting to like you, and that's why I'm not crushing you right now."

"Is that so?" Sima questioned.

"Not only are you strong, but I like your reason for being here." Cray said. "If I'm going to be on a team, I need to make sure my teammates meet my standards."

"Hey! Down here!" Both of them looked and saw the big guy from the arena.

"It's you." Sima said. "What was your name again?"

"It's Mike. Come down here." Mike invited. This was rather strange, but the two of them followed him down into a secret bunker.

"What is this place?" Sima questioned.

"One of many bunkers around the city. They built these for emergencies such as natural disasters and such." Mike said. "Rather than risk losing my bracelet, I've been hanging around down here until there are only three left. You two seem rather strong, so I thought I form a team with the two of you."

"Rather than being up there and fight, you're hiding down here like a coward." Cray said as he wasn't impressed. "Mike, why are you even in this tournament?"

"Why else? To see the world. I tried with another team, but they wouldn't let me in." Mike said.

"So rather than fighting, you try to find another way out." Cray said. "No way am I being on a team with you." He held up his duel disk and was ready to fight.

"What?! Are you serious?!" Mike said as he backed away.

"I am. I'm looking for fighters." Cray said.

"Well, I tried." Mike said. Then, he revealed a rope behind him and pulled on it. When that happened, a net fell right on Cray and Sima and pinned them down.

"Hey! What is this?!" Sima questioned. Mike enjoyed seeing them like that with two others coming out of hiding. "Who are they?"

"A couple buddies of mine. These who I'm building my team with. That means you two won't need these anymore." Mike said. His two buddies reached for the bracelets Sima and Cray were wearing and removed them. Once that happened, Mike crushed them. "Why duel and risk losing all of it? Later, losers!" He and his buddies took off.

"I'll get you!" Cray said.

"No way is that jerk winning." Sima said as they weren't going to take this laying down.

...

Later

Night has already fallen. Sima and Cray managed to free themselves from that net and got out of the bunker. However, there was no sign of Marcus or his two buddies.

"Where did he go?" Cray said.

"There are two many places to hide, and we don't know how many bracelets are left." Sima said. "We've got to find him before the team is official."

"Cray! Sima!" Both of them turned around and saw the stranger once again. "I'm ready to face the two of you."

"We don't have time. We need to find Mike." Cray said.

"Mike? You mean that big guy in overalls?" He asked.

"Yeah. He and a couple buddies of his took our bracelets and smashed them rather than dueling for them." Sima said. "We can't let this guy be on the team, so we need to find him."

"If you're looking for him, I saw him go that way." He claimed as he pointed to a mountain just outside Mackoo.

...

Mike

Mike and his two buddies were trying to avoid duels to ensure they're the last ones standing. They retreated up to the mountain and were keeping a low profile.

"How much longer is this going to last?" Mike questioned.

"There's about 28 bracelets left. We just need to hold on a little longer."

"Think again!" They both looked up and saw Cray, Sima, and their new little friend standing up there.

"How did you find us?!" Mike questioned.

"This guy here saw you running up here." Cray said. "Now, whether you like it or not, you're going to fight. Sima, are you ready?"

"I am." Sima said.

"I'll fight as well." All three of them activated their duel disks and went on the attack. Together, the three of them really let them have it in a devastating way. Once Mike and his friends were taken care of, Cray and Sima were able to take their bracelets.

"Thanks for the help. What's your name?" Cray asked.

"Me? It's Hungwe."

"You were pretty good." Sima said.

"You might be useful. I'm not sure if I like your style, but it's effective." Cray said. "Make sure you hold on to that bracelet." It would seem that Cray found his team. That was when other duelists came after the three of them. "Let's take that tournament by storm!"

"Boom, baby!" Sima said.

"Let's do it!" Hungwe said. After all that, Team Storm was formed.
