It was a shocking time for Team Mystic. They learned that Felix has a great dark power inside him that he gained when he lost to Raika during Duel Battlers. Now, they need to find a way to help him. Before they even could get started, Felix snuck out of the hospital. With him gone, what are they going to do. Meanwhile, Team Camelot was flying back to France since their next battle was set to be against Team Mystic.
"So, it's finally time. I'm a little surprised they made it this far." Chester claimed. "If what we witnessed before is any indication of their strength, they won't be a challenge."
"True, but we didn't face the three actual members." Stephanie said. "Chester, you're making it a bad habit of underestimating your opponents. It's starting to get disrespectful."
"I'm just saying that we don't have much to worry about. It will be a clean victory for us." Chester claimed.
"Is that so?" Arthur questioned as he helped himself to some tea. "If they've made it this far, they must have somewhat of skill."
"As did the other opponents we faced and yet we won." Chester said. "Sorry, but I don't think you need to partake in this battle, Arthur. Stephanie and I will win this and we'll be done."
"Is that so? How disappointing for the people of France?" Arthur said. "I return home and they won't be able to see me compete. Oh well. I'm sure they'll be glad to see Team Camelot gain another win." They were certain that they were just going to gain another win.
...
Team Mystic
"Still no sign of Felix?" Yukina questioned.
"Nothing. No one knows where Felix is." Cindy questioned.
"What are we going to do?" Kent questioned. They all looked around for where Felix might be, but there's been no sign of him anywhere. "We have to leave for France and face Team Camelot. This is our biggest and most important duel yet. What are we going to do?" None of them like this. The dark power in Felix could awaken at any moment, and he could be in real danger as are the others around him.
"We've got no choice." Yukina said. "We'll just have to hope that Felix can make it to France in time for the match."
"Are you serious? We should go without him?" Kent questioned.
"Yukina's right. We just have to hope that Felix is going to make it." Marcus said. All of them are worried for Felix, but they still have faith in him. They'll just have to hope for the best.
...
Team Camelot
Team Camelot is confident that they'll win against Team Mystic, but they still have to be prepared. After all, they don't want to look sloppy or improper in their match. At the moment, Chester and Stephanie were getting themselves while Arthur was tending to other matters.
"So, who do you think Team Mystic will set their battle order?" Chester questioned.
"Well, if by some miracle that they make it to the third match, their best chance against Arthur would have to be Yukina Osama." Stephanie said. "We might have defeated their little support quite easily, but we did give them insight as to what our decks hold. They've seen our strongest cards."
"That won't matter if they can't counter us." Chester said. "There's no way they'll have the chance to duel Arthur. It's like I said earlier, you and I will win our matches and we'll be one step closer to winning this whole thing." The two of them were sure of this, but then their strategic meeting was put on pause when they heard the sound of beautiful music.
"Playing piano? Quite beautifully, I might add." Stephanie said.
"He is the heir of the Lance Family. He's a real busy guy." Chester said. "Right when we got home, he had work to catch up on. It must take a lot of skill to be a proud member of this family."
"He is the only heir to this family, but Arthur is a good man. He excels in everything." Stephanie said as they both admired Arthur greatly. Arthur played beautiful music and kept thinking about how he got here.
'For many generations, the Lance Family has excelled in just about everything.' Arthur thought. 'Athletics, arts, academics, and more. The Lance Family stands as the pinnacle of being the best at just about everything. Being the only child of this family, I must continue that legacy, and it was rather easy. I have already mastered many talents that others would have taken years to perfect just one. In fact, it got rather boring. That's why I decided to enter the Worldwide Supreme Tournament. People wondered why I did that and not something more of high-class or sophisticated. Something better suited for my standings. Honestly, dueling can be rather unpredictable, unlike some of the others sporting games I've played. That is what I enjoy about it. On top of that, it is vastly popular if they are holding a tournament that's taking place all around the world. My dueling has already won the hearts of many in France. By winning, not only will I bring in more fame and money for my family, but I will have made my own mark. My apologies Team Mystic, but I am destined to win.' Arthur is clearly use to winning like it's breathing to him. If he's that confident, and knowing how strong this team really is, can Team Mystic really win?

The Next Day
Team Mystic arrived in France since they couldn't wait anymore. After searching for days and couldn't find Felix, they had no choice. They had to go on ahead to France and be ready for their next match. Once their plane landed down, they made their way through the airport.
"Oh la la. I simply love France." Cindy said.
"It might look nice out there, but remember we're here for our match against Team Camelot." Yukina said.
"Do you guys really think Felix will make it in time for the match?" Kent questioned.
"We have to believe that." Yukina said.
"Hey, check it out. There's a bunch of reporters." Marcus said as they could see some of them were waiting for them. "Sweet! Interview time!" He was ready to be asked all the questions until Yukina and Cindy stepped down on his foot.
"Are you nuts?! It's not going to look good if Felix isn't here!" Cindy said.
"Come on. Let's find another way out." Yukina said as they hurried off.
"Hey! Wait! You guys messed up my foot!" Marcus called as he hopped around on one leg.
...
The Hotel
All of them were able to make it out of the airport and into their hotel. All of them now just needed to wait until their match begins, but they're all hoping to hear from Felix soon.
"Guys!" Cindy called. "Team Camelot just submitted their battle order." All of them gathered around to have a look and showed that the order was Chester, Stephanie, and Arthur.
"It figures that Arthur would be going last. They're saving their ace." Marcus said.
"So what do we do about ours?" Kent questioned. "I want to believe in Felix, but if he really doesn't make it in time?"
"It would be a big problem if he doesn't make it in time, especially if we're down a loss." Yukina said.
"So if we want to have a chance of making it, we have to win the first round against Chester." Cindy said. "Chester uses a dark deck with one powerful monster. Which one of us has the best chance of beating that?" None of them were really sure. They weren't sure what to do in their battle order. It all really comes down to what becomes of Felix wherever he is.
...
Felix
The truth of the matter is that Felix became aware of what's going on in him. That's why he left the hospital. He has to get answers as to how to beat this darkness. However, this inner conflict is taking a toll on him both physically and mentally. He was able to make it to France, but he's still struggling.
"I've... I've got to find Arthur." Felix mumbled. "Arthur has one of the malicious fiends, but he hasn't been taken over by the darkness. I've got to figure out how he did it." That might be the key to helping him beat the darkness in him. He's trying to make his way to Arthur, but he's barely holding himself together.
"Ha... Look at you. You look more pathetic than I remember." Felix felt a cold shiver run down his spine when he heard that voice.
"What are you doing here?" Felix questioned as he turned around and was met with none other than Raika himself.
"I heard a little interesting tale about you." Raika said. "Apparently, it's my fault that you're going crazy." Felix readied himself for whatever Raika tried, but Felix could feel Life Destroyer. He could practically see that monster standing with Raika. It's causing the darkness in him to stir, and he could feel it growing. He's trying to keep it in check, but his body feels like it's beginning to burn. "Don't resist it."
"What?" Felix questioned.
"The more you resist your own darkness, the stronger you make it." Raika said.
"I'm making it stronger by just resisting?" Felix questioned. Maybe Felix doesn't need Arthur. It's surprising to see that Raika is actually trying to help, but will it really help Felix? Can Raika even be trusted? If Felix is going to help his friends, he just might have to trust him. His friends are worried about him and they need him. As everyone else was asleep, Yukina remained awake and was greatly concerned about Felix. As much as she wants to be by his side and help him, all she can do is hope for the best.

The Next Day
"Bonjour, people of France! We're in for a real treat!" The French version of M.C. announced. "Happening here in Viva La France, our very own Team Camelot is going against the rising stars, Team Mystic. It's sure to be an interesting match, or will it just be another easy victory for our own Team Camelot?!"
"Let's go, guys!" Yukina called as she was in upbeat mood. "Today's the day! We're taking Team Camelot down! Let's head over to the arena and get ready!" She claimed as she was the first one out.
"Yukina, wait!" Cindy called as the others followed after her. "We still haven't decided what we're going to do about our battle order!"
"We'll just have to wing it." Yukina said.
"Are you sure that's a good idea?" Marcus questioned.
"Yeah. We still don't know about Felix." Kent said.
"That's why we have to wing it, but I still believe in him." Yukina said firmly with her keeping her head up. "I'm sure that he'll..." Yukina stopped right in her tracks as she spotted something. All of them looked ahead and were astonished.
"Felix!" Cindy called. Felix was right before them as he really did make it. He tried walking to his friends, but only to collapse.
"Felix!" Yukina called as they all hurried over to him, but they were shocked to see who was standing behind Felix. "Raika!" She called as they all couldn't believe it was him after so long.
"Long time no see, Yukina." Raika greeted.
"What did you do to Felix?" Yukina questioned.
"I didn't do anything. He's just suffering from the effects of his own battle." Raika claimed. "That's quite the interesting friend you have, Yukina. Still, he has to embrace the darkness if he wants to keep his humanity."
"Embrace the darkness? That's crazy. Why would he do something like that?" Marcus questioned. They knew better to trust Raika, but Raika didn't care all that much.
"I said what I needed to say." Raika said as he just turned away and left them.
"Hold it, Raika!" Yukina called, but Raika just kept going. The second he was out of their sights, he just disappeared.
"That was weird. What do you think Raika is up to now?" Cindy questioned.
"We don't have time to worry about that. We have to get to our match." Kent claimed. Yukina would like a piece of Raika, but it will have to wait. Felix might have made it back, but let's hope they still have a chance of winning against Team Camelot.
...
The Arena
"It's now time! The match we've all been waiting for is about to begin!" M.C. announced as it was about to begin. "First, we have our very own Team Camelot!" Everyone cheered for them like they won before the duel got started. "Their opponent is Team Mystic!" He announced as he showed them and that they made it on time.
"Hold on. What's this? You appear to be one team member short." Arthur claimed as he noticed Felix wasn't around.
"Don't worry about that, Arthur. You're still getting your match." Yukina claimed.
"Odd. Why are they down one member? Did something happen to Felix?" Stephanie questioned.
"It doesn't matter. We'll win no matter what they try." Chester claimed as he went on ahead for his match. As for Felix, he was resting in the team room. He's going to need it, especially if he isn't able to duel.
"Man, this is just great." Marcus complained. "Felix showed up in time, but now it looks like he might not be able to duel."
"It can't be helped." Kent said.
"That's right. Felix is in no shape to fight right now." Cindy said.
"Now we really need a win. I'll go out for the first match." Marcus claimed as he hurried on for the duel.
"So, you're my opponent?" Chester questioned.
"No! I'm the guy that's going to take you down!" Marcus said.
"It looks like we have the match set for the first round! We have our own Chester going up against Marcus!" M.C. announced.
"I'm sorry you came a long way just to be defeated. No one can defeat Team Camelot! We're undefeated!" Chester claimed.
"There's a first time for everything!" Marcus said. This is it. Team Mystic is finally going up against Team Camelot, but they're already at a disadvantage. They have to win this round if they want to have any kind of chance of beating them.
"Here we go!"
