A bit of a special occasion, so instead of the usual Hymn to Freedom, we'll be having Mac Demarco's Chamber of Reflection (v=vQe5lWNxxXo)

Multimedia Confessions - Season 1

You're introduced to a young Saya-jin/Endurion male of Blasian descent at about 6'0" with a fighter's frame. His hair spiked and black with eyes of light gray and electrical blue ends on his hair. He wears a black three piece suit with a dark blue collared tie, a tie, and black boots.

"This is Ryo Nazo Blackthorn, a Time Patroller and younger brother to Joshinari Blackthorn. Ryo works in the seven-star restaurant known as the Tori Dragon Palace (which is two blocks away from the Pixel Palace). Now it has expanded where all across the media, all around the multiverse, many pop in to have a drink. Sometimes, they share stories, and even secrets. Because—as we all know—what the bartender hears is confidential... isn't it?"

Episode 8 – Harley Quinn

So here I was tending the empty bar on a rather somber day as in walks Harleen Quinnzel…the classic one before any other came to be. I don't snark or joke…I simply got her The Batman.

15ml vanilla vodka, 60ml root beer, 15ml coffee liqueur, and 30ml of spiced rum all in a lowball glass. I give it to her and she drinks in one go…slapping the glass on the table.

"Multiple sclerosis."

"I heard…what a cruel way to go." I tell her. "For some people, it's no fun getting older."

"And right after Kevin Conroy…"

"Yeah, I remember. The bar had a private party where several Batmen were there mourning the loss. Lots of tears, drinks, and singing. I'm surprised there's not many Harleys coming in." I said looking around.

"Arkhamverse Me is kinda busy trying not to get killed by the brainwashed Justice League…how original. The others are mourning or not taking it well. Me? I've been around the block…" Harley said as I poured her another drink. "I want to remember the good times…"

"Remember when you played Amazing Grace on the kazoo, I heard they could only do one take because people who were trying not to laugh." I said with a chuckle.

"How about when I was naked and covered in nothing but pie?" Harley purred out.

"You were naked under there?" I say in disbelief. "No way."

"You don't know for sure…" Harley joked as I laughed.

"To think the last thing Arleen did was…voicework for some MMO game. But that's life for you…you never know when you'll go out peacefully, in agony, or just instantly. It's haunting to think about sometimes." I admit.

I break one of my personal rules of not drinking on the job. I fix myself vodka on the rocks before chucking it down…taking in the arid taste of it. I needed it. To mourn the loss of someone who brought me joy.

"Oh man, poor Hamill. No Batman and now…no Harley. Now there's no chance he'll ever return to playing the Joker." I said bitterly. "This year…has people just dropping like flies."

"Sucks, doesn't it?" Harley said shedding pained tears. "But that's life."

"Better her star to have shone and fell…then to have never shined at all."

That's all I could really say. She had a few more drinks, paid with a tip, and left.

No use looking out

It's within that brings that lonely feeling

Understand that when you leave here

You'll be clear among the better men

Alone again

Alone again

Alone again

Alone again, alone

You see a lot of strange things as a bartender, see a lot of strange things at the Tori Dragon. So, I see a lot of strange things as a bartender at the Tori Dragon, and that's no lie. Swear to it…

(A/N: I'm not going to go into the issues I have with Harley's later adaptations (it wasn't place), but I just wanted to celebrate Arleen Sorkin and the impact she made. It was a bittersweet piece to write. Originally, I was going to do Snow White, but when Sorkin passed, I had to make this one first.)
