Off the Clock Short 1 - One's Birthday
A prequel chapter to the prior confession
Living in the city where the Tori Dragon was a bustling place where nearly anything was possible with many people from all kinds of universe going through the place. Ryo wouldn't change a thing about it. Though, he had certainly moved up in place from his old place to a much more luxurious home. Yeah, it was a literal castle…but he wanted his son to never have to struggle too much in life.
Ryo woke up to an empty bed.
"Where's T-"
"Happy birthday!"
The door was kicked open as his loving angel came in with a tray of breakfast and a slice of birthday cake. Towa wanted to serve him breakfast in bed, and he was more than happy to accept. After he served her on her birthday…with more emphasis on dessert.
"Thanks darling." Ryo remarked before beginning to eat. "Where's Ryuji?"
"Your older brother offered to babysit him for the day." Towa remarked. "So we have the house to ourselves."
"Oh~" Ryo purred. "Well may as well, eat this first."
Towa plopped on the bed with it as she turned on the television.
"I have a real good feeling about this year." Ryo said with a small smile. "But let's not watch TV. Rather not waste time on the news. I want to check out that new show. The Amazing Digital Circus…heard it's real fun."
