Multimedia Confessions - Season 2

You're introduced to a young Saya-jin/Endurion male of Blasian descent at about 6'0" with a fighter's frame. His hair spiked and black with eyes of light gray and electrical blue ends on his hair. He wears a black three piece suit with a dark blue collared tie, a tie, and black boots.

"This is Ryo Nazo Blackthorn, a Time Patroller and younger brother to Joshinari Blackthorn. Ryo works in the seven-star restaurant known as the Tori Dragon Palace (which is two blocks away from the Pixel Palace). Now it has expanded where all across the media, all around the multiverse, many pop in to have a drink. Sometimes, they share stories, and even secrets. Because—as we all know—what the bartender hears is confidential... isn't it?"

Episode 14 – Losses

So here I was tending the bar and it was a shitty day. You'd think the bar would be full of the cast of RWBY and its fans because RT is in the toilet, they were few of them. RT failing was it's own damn fault…I think even Ruby and Weiss who visited were aware. No, we lost a real one. Akira Toriyama, the reason I'm here…and so many other warpers…he's gone.

Thus, the bar was stuffed. Hell, it was the one day where all the family gathered at the bar to mourn the loss. Except for Ace.

All my friends and co-workers from Time Patrol came to the bar. We were all there, drinking…and mourning the loss. From what I hear, Toriyama wanted a quiet funeral if the worst came to be and they let him have it. It was the one time where heroes and villains put aside their grudges to just mourn the fallen.

"Ryo, another cup of scotch whiskey." Trunks requested.

"Hey, that's your third glass…" I told him.

"I know, but I'm taking off work for a few days. Chronoa's basically put TP duties on hold for rest of the week." Trunks said as I poured him that drink. "So yes, I want that drink…and leave the bottle."

There were few not drinking. Beerus and Champa had to because they couldn't handle their liquor…but they had no appetite at all. It was all depressing as hell and I couldn't take it. I left duties to Dawn as I went up to the roof for a smoke. I could have drink myself, but I wasn't feeling it. I reached to get a cigarette, but…well, I don't smoke. I just simply slump looking down at the night sky.

"Hey, it's me Goku!"

I sigh to see Goku come up, still all smiles. Damn, it's just so infectious and comforting. He sits next to him.

"I know this must hit you hard for you." Goku said gently.

"He was a real one. He inspired me and many like me. Hell, without him…there'd be no Naruto, One Piece, or Bleach…." I said looking up to the sky. "Even their creators acknowledge it and mourn the loss. He brought us joy, laughs, excitement, and so much more."

"I know it hurts, but smile. Smile that he was around long enough to do that…he may be gone, but his legacy is forever. 30 years ago, he brought me to the scene and changed everything." Goku said, getting up. "Besides, I don't think he'll be forgotten anytime soon."

And just like that, he was gone and I was back to being alone. This year had barely started and so much shit had happened. But screw it, Goku was right. It may be Toriyama's end, but his legacy continues on and we have to carry that torch. I stormed right down to the bar before pouring myself a piledriver. I downed it before hoping up onto the counter.

"Look, I know we're all sad about the loss of a great man. But you know what, he wouldn't want us all in a funk. So you know…that new Budokai Tenkaichi game isn't going to be out for a while. But I got several Wiis and modded copies of Tenkaichi 3…who wants to run tourneys? Participants get free drinks and cake." I affirmed, getting cheers from the crowd.

The mood was lifted as we worked to set it up. More people would come, Naruto and his friends…even the Straw Hats came more wanting it. Even most of my clan came to mourn…but they would join in. Skorch and Mad Dawg would be a bit late to the party, but I'd welcome them with open arms. The mood was brightening and I could feel the pain lessen. He may be gone, but he won't be forgotten. Not now, not a decade later, not a century later. Thank you, Toriyama, for everything. You see a lot of strange things at the Tori Dragon, meet a lot of strange folks…so I've seen plenty here running the Tori. And that ain't no lie…swear to it.

(A/N: I had to get this out, the moment I heard. Damn it, why him? And he went out via a bad head injury…isn't that a cruel irony. But we can't change the past…and there's no Dragon Balls to bring him back. Originally, I was going to do a sequel to a RWBYverse short here. Specifically Chapter 267, "It's Over, Isn't It?" where I accidentally predicted that WB was going to shitcan RT because of their stocks failing them. However, this broke out and I had to do something. And because I'd not really felt anything with RT going down, they had it coming for a long time. Would have rather been ripping on them than to hear that a real creator, a real icon is gone. But RIP Toriyama, you'll be missed. I wish I could tell you how much you brought me joy and inspired me…)
