Kazuya's Pov

To say I am in a rough spot would be a big, fat lie. Megumi appeared cool but couldn't cover up his worry and nervousness about facing the king of curses. On the other side, I felt confident since I had enough power to overwhelm Sukuna, but the biggest issue for me was Kenjaku, who was observing the entire event from a distance.

What tipped me off the most was how Kenjaku stared at me with the most ecstatic grin I have ever seen, as if I were part of his plans (hopefully not). I used to watch Saturday cartoons about evil masterminds and Kenjaku reminded me of them except he was competent and insane. Please, for the love of everything, do not pull some Aizen shenanigans on me and make this whole thing part of his plan.

It was just wrong and demented. I felt violated the longer I looked at him. I still need to be more careful now. I was dealing with a "real" version of Kenjaku, and as much as I wanted to feel confident in my odds of winning, I was more concerned that this guy would pull off a Batman trick because I gave him prep time.

Wait... What the hell am I doing? Why am I acting so scared?

I formed the needed stance and summoned a character that would summon the character I had in mind. From my shadow came a man with a black beard and dark black hair that was slightly greying. He has blue eyes, pale skin, and is fairly tall.

"What in the world?" the man uttered, looking confused, before spotting us and Sukuna. "D-did you summon here?"

"Yes, Dr. Strange. Look, we're kind of in a bind here and we really need your help," I said, gesturing to Sukuna, who was now looking more interested and excited.

"I can see that," Strange said, looking at the possessed Yuji. "Your friend is possessed."

"We know. Look, can you subdue him and keep the guy from taking control ever again?" I pleaded.

"I'll do more than just that," Strange said and he started making hand motions and signs.

Sukuna's eyes widened as he rushed in to stop whatever Strange was doing but Megumi and I reacted in time. Megumi sent his snake, the great serpent, and Nue to intercept the king. I did the same, sending Hakumen and Ainz.

My shikigamis were the first to reach Sukuna and started double-teaming the king. Ainz provided long-range support, while Hakumen traded blows with Sukuna. Nue and the Great Serpent circled, waiting to give them the needed distraction should Sukuna overwhelm my shikigamis.

"Fascinating as much as I want to know what's going on, I think our friend here has overstayed his welcome," Strange said as he finished the spell.

Sukuna would have avoided the spell had Ainz not reacted and held him in place with a paralysis spell. Forcing his body to go stiff as he lost control over it and watched helplessly as Strange's spell struck him. Looking at the one responsible, he saw Kazuya with a stranger. That was the last thing he saw before his hold on Yuji was forcibly undone.

Megumi POV

Relief. That was the word that came to Megumi's mind when he saw Yuji's body fall as Sukuna lost hold of his body. Watching his... A classmate fell to the wet ground; his shoulder sagged as the weight and stress he had been under were lifted.

"Your friend is fine," he heard Kazuya's familiar saying. The stranger then gestured a circling motion and to Megumi's shock, Sukuna's fingers exited Yuji's body.

The familiar took the fingers with a wince. "What a dreadful fellow. Your friend has a strong will to even survive being its host." The comment wasn't lost on Megumi, even though he was surprised that Yuji stayed alive even after Sukuna managed to manifest into his body.

"Thanks for the help, Doc," Kazuya said before looking to his right. Slowly, a frown settled on his features.

Megumi wanted to ask but knew whatever it was, it must be bad since Kazuya looked like he was about to let Hakumen loose off his leash on Gojo.

"I have something to do, Megumi. You tell Gojo what happened once he gets his ass here. Doc, can you come with me for a sec? I'll be needing your magic."

The stranger raised an eyebrow but nodded. Then Kazuya rose above the ground and flew to where he was looking at it with his familiars right behind him.

Megumi stared at their fading images before looking at Yuji. He let out a sigh and looked at the sky. "I need a vacation."

Kazuya POV

I hovered above Uraume and Kenjaku, my eyes glowing red with intense heat. "Yo, fancy seeing a deadman," I taunted. Hakumen, Asta, Magito, and Ainz surrounded the two curses.

Uraume was about to say something to me but Kenjaku stopped her. I could tell she was livid, considering what was happening.

"Its a pleasure to finally meet you, Akiyama Kazuya," Kenjaku greeted.

"The displeasure is all mine." I hissed in disgust. "Any last words?" I prepared to blast both of them to dust.

Something about how carefree the man was acting set me off. It's frustrating to be in this situation. I normally wouldn't care about it but I have no idea how many butterfly effects it has already caused and acting on a whim could set up a doomsday clock.

"None, but I have to admit I never thought I would see the day where my dream would come true." Kenjaku spoke before looking at Kazuya.

Is... This thing is seriously crying in joy!?

"Ah, how beautiful. So beautiful," the man whispered. "But unfortunately, I can't let myself be captured just yet."

"Yeah, we are not doing that," I said. "NOW DOC!"

Thanks to my connection with Dr. Strange, I gained his photographic memory so I had a mental souvenir from Kenjaku. The 'WTF' face he made when he got sealed by Strange was hilarious. It was also kind of anti-climactic, if he had to admit it.

He had been gaslighting Kenjaku for so long that he was having trouble believing it was that easy.

"You seem surprised and disappointed," Strange said.

"Kind of," I said, dismissing my Shikigamis as I turned towards him. "I've been mentally preparing myself for this day and... I'm honestly lost on what to do."

It was true; he may have been lazy but he also needed a purpose. Killing curses was just a chore for him. Deep down, he knew what he wanted but it was often overshadowed by excuses he constantly made.

"I've been so hung up on this moment that I forgot something more important." I sat down on the roof. The rain had stopped moments ago.

"Seems to me you need little soul searching," Strange said, taking a seat beside me. "See the world; maybe that will give you the answer or the hint you need."

"You know that line can go both ways. I might find a different answer to my question," I argued.

"Perhaps but isn't the point of our existence to try to find meaning? We all make our own purpose in life. Yours is just waiting," Strange said.

I looked to the horizon and started to consider his suggestion. Traveling to different worlds sounded nice. Then I turned to Strange and smiled at him. "Thanks, doctor. I needed that."

Strange smiled before nodding. "Now I believe you owe me an explanation," he said.

After explaining my ability to Strange, he was fascinated but also wary that I could blame him. I would have the power to make anyone my slave if I hadn't made so many binding vows; the majority were limiters that could be broken without dire consequences.

[Deadman's Quota] was broken to the point that my fights have no stake except my paranoia and anxiety, which keep me wary. I don't believe I was given this sort of power for free and I don't want to know the price I have to pay. I'm surprised that the Deadman Quota has a limit and that my body barely kept up with the demand. I had to change how it functioned originally. The original idea was that I copied or outright extracted techniques or powers as long as I saw the target. Heck, it goes as far as abstract things like time and space. I don't need to "see" them in person; only the picture is enough. Hell, I even extracted half of Gojo's lifespan by accident. So I used the binding vow to nerf the hell out of it. Unfortunately, due to poor word choices, the binding vow ejected everything I had and returned it to the original owners, forcing me back to square one.

Man, binding vows are the bread and butter of JJK. Even my ability to create or summon fictional characters was a byproduct of those vows, because I was too lazy to use them myself. Now that I have gotten the hang of it, I think it's time to renew my vows because the negotiation part is starting to be a problem for me. Don't get me wrong, as much as I want my summons to be their character, I don't want them arguing when there's a line they wouldn't cross.

"Thankfully, my binding vows are all temporary, but its going to be a bitch starting all over again," I thought to myself, wincing at the thought of recollecting all those powers I had in stock.

Focusing back on Strange, a curious thought came to me and I decided to humor it.

"Where'd you send them anyway?" I asked, referring to Uraume and Kenjaku.

Strange smiled at me and answered. "Somewhere far away, they won't see the light of day."

"So eternal damnation. Remind me not to get on your bad side," I joked as Strange smiled at my attempt to lighten up the mood. "Anyways, you still have that finger?"

The sorcerer supreme quirked an eyebrow but answered with a nod.

"You got a spell to find 20 of those? Some of them were with the guy we caught," I said while stretching my arms, feeling a bit refreshed now that I had dealt with the threat. Strange just smiled and again made several movements before I saw a holographic map of Japan.

I can see small blips, which would probably be Sukuna's remaining fingers. My photographic memory did its job. It's time to go on a little treasure hunt. With Dr. Strange, finding those fingers was easy since we just kept teleporting to where those fingers were buried or hidden.

Luck seemed to be on my side, as one of those fingers happened to be with Jogo, who was with Hanami and Mahito. Even Choso just happened to be there. Dealing with those three was easy. Honestly, I feel a little stupid since I keep making shikigamis when I have the resources to summon characters but I guess my pride kept me from relying too much on that idea. Which only reinforces my thoughts on remodeling my binding vows and getting it right this time.

There is a clear line between laziness and being smart or not. I refuse to be categorized as the dumb one.

Honestly, convincing Choso to listen to what I have to say was the most challenging part but I managed to convince him to meet me in a hidden area so he could meet Yuji.

By the time I got back, Satoru Gojo was waiting for me and I told him about what happened. Of course, he wasn't happy with what I did but he was proud that I was able to prevent a disaster when I showed the prison realm. Yeah, I robbed Kenjaku of everything he had. My paranoia had been correct when Kenjaku planned to use the prison realm to capture me.

The only mistake he made was that he severely underestimated how broken my technique was. Who gives a fuck about domain expansions when you can call someone who can reshape reality?

Don't get me wrong, being able to do a domain is amazing but its hype drops when it just makes no difference. An entire verse was crushed by someone thinking, "Lol, nope." That would be like DIO trolling Polnareff by the stairs.

Anyway, the higher-ups were pleased that we now had something to get rid of Sukuna, though they were still pissed as hell that it took me this long. It's not like they can do much else other than whine.

Though I did agree that Yuji was a problem if I or Satoru weren't around, I didn't agree with their methods because most of those were the dumbest things I have known. They were ants picking a fight with a nuke on a timer.

Anyway, after that, I brought Yuji to Choso and triggered his technique by temporarily stopping Yuji's heart. I told Satoru about them and he decided to spare the cursed wombs under the deal that they don't attack humans anymore unless it's self-defense.

I started working on my binding vows again, and this time I was making sure there wouldn't be any hiccups. I was kind of sad that I lost all my contacts and OC summonses, but it made up for the fact that I no longer needed to make deals. Honestly, I had no idea why I thought it was a good idea.

Although I can still summon characters up to 10 (I don't need an army), there was a difference. My summons can now be either drones or not. The drones were sentient but didn't have free will but those that do have free will are useful in cases where I need them as a distraction or piece of advice. I can also merge characters providing them greater power.

Then I started thinking about how to ask Nobara out but the more I thought about it, the. I realized that I was rushing things too fast. I was given a second chance to live my life so I don't need to rush my relationships.

Besides, there are plenty of Nobaras in the multiverse; I could go there and have a relationship with that version if the time comes.

...

Why am I starting to sound like Rick? Man, that's depressing. Either way, it was high time to see if we could travel to a different universe. Using Deadman's Quota at its fullest potential, I decided to extract a spot in my hero's academia.

I was expecting a lot of things; one of them was that I would look like an idiot but in the next three seconds, it was like I was dragged into Gojo's domain and then spat out. The next thing I knew, I was standing on the sidewalk.

"It actually worked," I muttered, staring at the civilians passing me. Walking to a random direction, I started to sightsee. Honestly, seeing my hero's academic world was amazing.
