Earth One (DC)

Bruce had pushed Clark hard in terms of speed. They had discovered that Clark was insanely fast, even a bullet fired from one foot away could be avoid by Clark if he was focused. Clark although sceptical at first was actually enjoying testing his abilities. That was until he found out what Bruce wanted to test next.

"That's mighty impressive Clark" Bruce said. "We can safely say that if you are focused bullets are no problem. If you have many assailants though some may get hits in with pipes or weapons, even bullets. "How resilient are you to such things." Clark beginning to see how far Bruce would take this made sure he was careful in what he said. Don't want to give Bruce any crazy ideas he thought.

But unfortunately for Clark Bruce already had some interesting test for Him. Bruce liked to be prepared, you could never have to much preparation. A lack of it was just asking for trouble in Bruce's opinion.

"Follow me" said Bruce. Clark did and the pair of them walked down the stairs carved out of the rock itself. They descended for a good few minutes, until they came to a circular platform, about 5 meters in diameter, the platform had scuffs, cracks, and a variety of other types of damage. The edges of the platform had wire mesh surrounding it, Clark walked over and looked down. It was a long way down, He couldn't see the bottom. This is some cave thought Clark.

Turning to face Bruce Clark thought I don't like were this is going. The damage to this place is causing him concern. "This is my training area" said Bruce before Clark could finish his thoughts. Bruce turned away and walked over to the cliff side of the arena.

There was a computer screen, with keyboard and mouse, to the left was a steal door a good few meter in width and about 2 meters height. As Bruce typed on the keyboard, the door slowly lifted, revealing a room carved out of the rock. It contained various items, some of which Clark couldn't not make heads or tales of. Bruce entered coming-out with a simple bat. Is that it thought Clark chuckling to himself. That isn't going to do much. As Bruce approached Clark he said "Ready?" Clark nodded.

Bruce held the bat firmly in his grasp, its weight familiar in his hands. "This is the first test," he said, his voice echoing off the cave walls. "We're going to see how resistant you are, but first."

He handed the bat to Clark, who examined it curiously. "What am I supposed to do with this?" Clark asked." You want me to break it?"

"No that wouldn't be a challenge would it. You're going to hit me with it," Bruce replied, a serious look in his eyes.

Clark's eyes widened in shock. "Hit you? Bruce, I could—"

"—Hurt me, yes," Bruce interrupted. "But that's the point. We need to know if you can control your strength, if you can hold back even in the heat of battle."

Clark hesitated, but the trust in Bruce's eyes gave him the courage to proceed. He lifted the bat, his grip careful, his movements precise. With a controlled swing, he brought the bat down on Bruce's forearm.

The sound of the impact reverberated through the cave, but Bruce didn't flinch. Instead, he nodded in approval. "Good. You're holding back. But how will you fair in battle?" With that Bruce went in to his pocket and returned with a fob. As he pressed it he said. "Try again"

Suddenly, Clark's senses were bombarded. The room erupted with deafening noises, and blinding lights flashed relentlessly, making it nearly impossible for Clark to concentrate. Rubber pellets pelted him from all directions, stinging his skin. And then, without warning, Bruce lunged at Clark, fists flying, shouting, "AGAIN!"

Clark's mind swirled in confusion, struggling to maintain focus. Unsurprisingly, he felt no pain—neither from the bullets nor from Bruce's blows—but the battle remained an intense struggle. Gripping the bat, Clark swung at Bruce, who deftly evaded the attack. "You've got to do better than that," Bruce taunted.

Clark swung the bat again, and this time, Bruce raised his arm to block. But unlike their previous encounter, Clark's control waned, and the bat exploded into shards of wood, littering the floor.

Silence descended upon the room, catching them both off guard. Bruce winced; his expression pained. "I'm sorry," Clark stammered. "Are you okay?"

Bruce's response was matter-of-fact: "Just bruised. This armour absorbed most of the impact. But, Clark, you need to work on your control before we venture into the field. Regardless of the situation, you must maintain it."

Clark nodded, feeling shame at his lack of focus. All these years controlling my powers, I should have done better he thought, setting the remnants of the bat aside.

Clark was ready, beginning to see just what Bruce could teach him. He was now sure that he would do whatever Bruce asked of him, knowing that with each test, he was one step closer to mastering his powers.

Bruce stepped away, his gaze penetrating, assessing Clark with newfound intensity. "Now," Bruce's voice dropped to a serious tone, "we test your durability." Being a hero wasn't just about dealing blows; it was also about withstanding them. Clark had to prove he could take it as well as dish it out against villains.

He walked over to a different section of the bat cave, where various weapons and gadgets were meticulously organized. Bruce selected a device that looked like a high-tech cannon. "This is a concussive blast emitter," he explained. "It simulates the impact of high-caliber weaponry without the lethal effects."

Clark's jaw set firmly, understanding the necessity of the test. "I'm ready," he stated, positioning himself in the centre of the training area.

Bruce activated the device, and a deep hum filled the cave as it powered up. "Remember," he called out, "stay focused. Use your strength to absorb the impact."

The device emitted a powerful shockwave, hitting Clark square in the chest. The force was immense, enough to pulverize stone, but Clark stood his ground. His feet carved grooves into the arena floor, but he remained upright.

Bruce fired again and again, each blast more powerful than the last. Clark felt the shockwaves reverberate through his body, testing the limits of his alien physiology. Yet, he endured, his determination unwavering.

After the final blast, Bruce powered down the device and approached Clark, who was catching his breath, having been brought to his knees. "Impressive," Bruce admitted. "But we're not done yet. We'll keep pushing, keep testing. Come back tomorrow and we will continue, your body needs rest"

Clark nodded, a small smile breaking through his exhaustion. "Thanks, Bruce," he said. "I won't let you down."

Earth Two (Db)

Goku floated high in the sky staring straight Into Cell's eyes, a confused expression on his face. "You seem different" Cell said, now a little unsure of himself against the confident Goku. "Do I" said Goku, a sly smile on his face.

"Kaio-ken x 10!" Goku's voice echoed, his energy surging exponentially. Cell had to brace himself against the sheer force of Goku's power. And then, with unwavering determination, Goku charged forward.

Meanwhile, below the pair, their friends looked on, disbelief etched across their minds. Krillin couldn't fathom how Goku remained so powerful without transforming. Vegeta, on the other hand, growled in frustration, unable to comprehend the source of this newfound strength. Every time I think I've surpassed him, Vegeta seethed, he somehow manages to attain a new power.

Suddenly, a deafening boom snapped Vegeta out of his thoughts. Cell plummeted toward the ground, but he managed to catch himself, breathing heavily. Goku's voice cut through the tension: "Are you going to use your full power yet?" he queried.

Cell, a mix of rage and arrogance, failed to realize that Goku hadn't transformed. "As you wish," Cell retorted, "but know that my full-power is perfect and has no equal." With those words, he began to power up, waves of energy erupting from his body. The ground cracked beneath him, a deep crater forming. After a few intense minutes, Cell had reached his full power. Goku was impressed not sure if he would be able to win without transforming, but he would give it his best. Let's see how far I can go with Kaio-ken he thought.

Cell charged at Goku with lightning speed, catching the Saiyan off guard. Meanwhile, concealed behind a cluster of rocks, a TV crew scrambled to capture the intense battle. The cameraman, however, struggled to keep the camera steady, failing to do justice to the epic clash.

Suddenly, an orange blur streaked past them, obliterating a nearby hill. As the dust settled, Goku stood up, brushing himself off. "Kaio-ken x 20!" he shouted, launching himself toward Cell.

Dr. Gero, in his secluded workspace, tinkered away at the interdimensional device. His goal: to obtain Kryptonian DNA and unlock the secrets of that elusive ship. Months of work lay ahead. Glancing up at the screen, he observed the fierce battle unfolding. Cell had just unleashed an immense blast at Goku, who appeared to struggle against its force. But Goku rallied, seizing control of the energy and sending it hurtling back toward Cell.

Cell attempted to catch the rebounding blast, but the sheer power overwhelmed him. BOOOOM! The room shook as a colossal explosion engulfed Cell. All this distance away and I still felt the explosion through the Dr, the TV screen flickered and went black.

Moments later, a reporter materialized on screen, her expression tense. "We appear to have lost signal," she announced. "We'll try to reconnect with our reports as soon as possible.

The dust began to settle, and there was no sign of Cell. Goku's friends cheered, but he knew it wasn't over. Gradually, a small blob began to grow—Cell was reforming. Goku could have blasted it into nothingness, but he hesitated. After a minute, Cell stood rejuvenated.

"You can't win," Cell declared. "My body is perfect, able to regenerate from a single cell."

Goku met his gaze. "That took a lot out of you, Cell," he replied. "You're breathing hard, and you've given it your all."

Cell retorted, "You're breathing hard too, Goku."

Goku smiled, beginning to transform. Having perfected the Super Saiyan transformation, it took him mere seconds to ascend to the legendary Super Saiyan level. He let his energy rip, creating a shockwave of air so powerful that it sent Cell hurtling away.

Finally regaining control, Cell looked down at Goku, genuine fear in his eyes.

Below, Vegeta stood speechless, his body shaking—a mixture of anger and awe. Piccolo, Gohan, Krillin and Tien stared in amazement at Goku. But as they watched, Goku vanished, moving with such speed that no one—not even Vegeta—could track him.

Cells eyes widened as Goku vanished, he couldn't track him either. Then he felt pain from his back as he was shot though the sky.

"Why are you holding that camera still?" shouted the TV reporter. "We're not even on the air!" The cameraman just shrugged. "We're back live!" yelled a technician. "I don't know how long it will hold, so get filming."

The TV presenter started talking while the cameraman struggled to keep the camera on the action.

"The spiky-haired man has changed in appearance, a golden glow is emanating from him" said the presenter stating the obvious. As for what this transformation means, anyone's guess is as good as mine. However, it appears he is winning against the mighty Cell. Hopefully, he can hold his own until Earth's mightiest hero returns. Where is Mr. S-"

Boom! A loud bang interrupted the TV presenter, causing a small scream to escape down the airwaves.

Watching it all unfold was a man hid behind a large boulder. How am I going to win against these? he thought. What am I going to do? My reputation is at stake. Quivering in his boots, he pondered his next move.

Cell was no match for Goku, and Goku was getting ready to finish it. "Solar flare!" shouted Cell, catching Goku off guard as he was momentarily distracted by his thoughts. Cell charged at Goku, who, although temporarily blinded, decided to channel his energy into defence.

Cell unleashed a barrage of punches and kicks, using everything he had, followed by a huge ki blast. When the smoke cleared, Goku hovered there mid air, not a mark on him. He hadn't even moved a muscle to defend against any of it. Cell's power was inconsequential to his transformed state.

Cell staggered back, trembling. "N-No," he whispered, then screamed, "Nooooooooo!" He plummeted toward the earth. "If I can't win, no one can!" he yelled. And then, he began to expand.

Goku immediately grasped Cell's intentions. Stupid me, he thought, hovering in the air and gradually descending. I need to save everyone. I don't want to die again. Not this time. But what can I do? Goku pondered. If I transform into Ascended Super Saiyan, I could create a barrier around Cell. That might work. However, he hesitated. Revealing that level of power to his friends could have unforeseen consequences, especially for Vegeta.

And then it came to him, and a smile gradually appeared on Goku's face.

Cell continued to swell, the impending explosion drawing near. "You lose, Goku," Cell taunted. "I'll explode in less than a minute. Touch me, and I explode. Fire energy at me, and I explode." His sinister laughter echoed.

Goku raised his hand, charging an immense amount of Ki. Focusing, he condensed it into a small orb and fired it as fast as he could. Approaching Cell, he lifted two fingers to his head, held onto Cell, and vanished.

Krillin and Gohan stared at the spot where Goku had stood, worry etched on their faces. Piccolo, Tien and Vegeta, however, looked up at the sky, sensing a distant energy. Then, a blinding explosion illuminated half the earth, so bright that no one could see.

All five of them stood there, concern etched on their faces. For Vegeta, it wasn't just concern; he wanted the chance to defeat Goku and didn't want that opportunity taken away from him.

As they gazed upward, tears welled in Gohan's eyes. "What's wrong, guys?" a voice called from behind. All five turned to see a grinning Goku. "Dad!" Gohan ran to his father. "How?" Krillin asked, bewildered.

Goku proceeded to explain that he had shot the energy blast into the sky, intending to use Instant Transmission to take Cell far away from Earth. He then focused all his power on creating an energy shield to protect himself. It was a close call, as when Cell exploded, it caused his energy orb to detonate as well, magnifying the explosion exponentially.

His companions listened, stunned by his revelation.

After Goku finished explaining, he declared, "Right, I'm going to find Chi-Chi." But Piccolo interrupted, "Hold on. You still have explaining to do."

"Let's gather everyone," Goku suggested. "I'll explain everything at once." He placed two fingers on his head, ready to teleport.

The TV crew observed from a distance, filming this extraordinary moment. "The spiky-haired man appeared out of nowhere," the commentator remarked. "I don't know what they're talking about, but they look happy." As he continued, "They must know each other, as they're patting each other on the back. I'll see abo-" Before his eyes, they vanished.

Meanwhile, Goku's friends and family eagerly watched the TV, their eyes fixed on every detail. Suddenly, right in front of the screen, Goku, Gohan, Piccolo, Vegeta, and Tien materialized. "Hi, everyone," Goku greeted.

Bulma screamed, waking up Trunks. Master Roshi spewed blood from his nose, covering Chiaotzu. Chi-Chi fainted, her father catching her just before she hit her head. "Goku," Roshi said, his voice questioning.

"Yeah," Goku replied, "I suppose I have some explaining to do."
