Chapter 26
Tony's POV:
Kagome left on Wednesday and on Thursday I got a visit from shield. After the homework that Agent 'Phil' gave me was finished later that Friday evening, I suited up and head for the helicarrier that Fury was on. About halfway there I got a transmission saying that Loki was currently at a gala in Germany. 'Please dear God, don't be the same one that Kagome is at, please, please, please!' I thought frantically. I probably shouldn't have though cause I think I jinxed myself.
Shippo's POV:
Momma looked stunning in her backless, strapless dress that I brought for her. She only agreed to wear it if she could wear her corset with it. It actually made the dress pop even more. The dress was a deep black and with the sapphire blue of the corset, it looked amazing. So'ounga looked fierce, porched on her back. She had eyes on her from all over the room.
"You look great, so relax!" I whispered in her ear.
She narrowed her eyes at me, "Can you not feel that?"
I blinked, "Feel what?"
"That great power. There is a Demi-Kami here." She was looking around trying to pinpoint where this Kami could be.
My eyes widened and my head whipped around looking for him as well. I discretely took in a big breathe to try to sniff him out and spotted him at the top of the stairs, "There he is, at the top of the stairs!"
Kagome's POV:
I could feel him as soon as we got to the gala. He felt powerful and yet suppressed. It was confusing. After I brought him to Shippo's attention, I just figured he was hiding himself. We searched everywhere for him, then Shippo found him at the top of the stairs. My head snapped up to look at him and my breathe caught. He was drop dead gorgeous, oozing confidence, but the suppression still nagged at me. When he reached the bottom of the stairs, he got this wicked look on his face and I knew something bad was about to happen. Then he sped over to one of the guests, flipped him onto the sacrificial alter and killed him, all with that wicked grin on his face. I guess I wasn't wrong on my feeling.
