Chapter 28
Kagome's POV:
I sat right across from the Kami with Shippo sitting beside me, while my Dad and the Captain whispered to each other. I stared at the Kami with my chin resting on my hand which rested on my knee. He stared right back at me with a slight smirk on his face. As I came to the conclusion that if I wanted info I was gonna have to talk to him, I nodded and stood up then smiled, sticking my hand out for a hand shake to him, "Hello, my name is Kagome."
He smiled, taking my hand and bringing it to his lips for a kiss, "Loki, my Lady. Care to tell me exactly what you are looking for?" I cocked my brow at him. "You are a Miko, yes? Which would make you Japanese. I quite liked Japan when I visited it a few centuries back. I do believe it is customary for them to bow in greeting, however, you deliberately had me shake your hand." He moved my hand to his cheek, "I can't help but wonder why."
I smirked, "Seems I've been caught." I sat down beside him and he turned so we were facing each other, his hand still holding mine to his cheek. "Why are you still hiding yourself?"
He face scrunched up in confusion, "I have no idea what you mean!"
I put my other hand on his remaining cheek, "A piece of yourself is lock away." I tried searching for it but it was blocked by strong dark magic. I closed my eyes in concentration, trying to find a weak point, "It feels like the heart of you is locked away by powerful dark magic. Why would you do that?" I opened my eyes to see deep confusion and fear in his eyes, "Because you didn't, did you?"
"No! I have no idea about any of it! Can you break it?" He seemed slightly frantic.
I brought my face closer so that only he and Shippo could hear me, "Yes but it will take time and concentration. Neither of which I will get while you are in the custody of Sheild."
He nodded, "I have no interest in being with them for any longer then I absolutely need to be."
Thunder sounded and his head shot up and our hands fell to our laps. He looked around worriedly, which did not go unnoticed by the Captain, "Not afraid of a little thunder, are you?"
"I'm not overly fond of what follows." He answered confusing everyone.
An idea popped in my head, "Isn't Thor the Kami of lightning?"
A thud on the roof of the plane answered my question. A blonde Kami with a hammer forced his way into the plane, snatched Loki up and flew away. My Dad took off next followed by the Captain even though our pilot tried to warn him against it. I could feel the power of the God as they fought, then a shock wave pierced the air making me and Shippo wince. My Dad radioed in and we picked them up, heading for the Sheild base.
