Kagome's POV

Sesshomaru's fury was so pungent, it was as if it was oozing out of every pore on his body. I had to get him to calm down. There was an invasion on the way! "Aniki!! I umderstand why you are angry, but we most prepare for battle."

Every ounce of his aura that was premeating throughout the floor, making the humans tremble in an instinctual fear, vanished on a split second as his mask of indifference fell back on his face. Sesshomaru rose a single eyebrow in my direction, "Battle?"

I nodded in affirmation, "Loki and I discussed everything before the ceremony."

Loki stepped up behind me, I could feel every part of my body wanting to lean into him, but luckily he seemed to want the same thing. He pulled me to his chest as he began to explain, "The one who sent me here are planet cleansers. They dont want slaves or prisoners. Once the portal above us opens, we will have an army bearing down on us."

Sesshomaru seemed to think over how to handle this, but my father was wholely against it, "Why don't we just figure out a way to keep the portal from opening?? There are millions in the city!! We can't protect everyone!!"

"They will find a way here one way or another. It's better that we know the when and the where. Next time we may not be so lucky." I interjected, cutting off his panicking. "We have time to prepare. Though only minutes at most."

"What exactly do you mean by we??" My father looked at me incredulously, "You are not fighting!!"

I shook my head in exasperation, "Daddy, I understand that it is your fatherly instincts to keep me safe at all times, but I can guarantee that I have waaaay more battle experience then you do." I could see he was about to interrupt me, so I held up a hand to stop him. "No, let me finish. I love you, but I'm not some normal teenage girl. I've been through things that are far too complicated to explain in a few minutes, but I will tell you everything after the battle. For now we need to see if we can declare New York as an active battle zone and have the city evacuated."
