Shippo's POV
Following Mother threw the breach, Uncle and I both knew that we would likely end up in deep space. Staying right on the other side of the breach provided us just enough air to remain for as long as Mama continued to have her fun. She had already torn apart one ship and had started on the next one, leaving the biggest one for last.
Uncle drew his blade, held it above his head and sliced downward, cutting the biggest ship in half. "This emergency was oversold to me." Uncle grumbled.
I laughed out right, "Well, it seems that its all been taken care of!"
Uncle snorted, "So it seems. Go and tell the humans we will be returning shortly."
"As you wish." I bowed, jumped up slightly and allowed the breach to carry me back down to earth. I turned around, allowing myself to free fall back onto Stark Tower.
Gramps was on me the instant I landed, "What happened?"
"Mother took out two of the ships while Uncle took out the bigger one. All enemies have been completely wiped out." I reported easily.
"You've called her that twice now." Gramps gave me that Signature brow.
"I have called her that far more then twice. Mother has had a hard road. I know you want me to give you the answer, but I won't. Mother said that she would explain after the battle." I crossed my arms and raised my eyebrow right back at him.
"That I did." Mother said from the balcony. Uncle and my new Father stood on either side of her. She held up a small blue stone, "This was inside that cube upstairs. It feels very powerful. I do not trust it in human hands."
Gramps looked appalled, "What is that supposed to mean? You are human!"
Mother took a deep breath and let it out. Looking Gramps square in the eye, she replied, "No. I'm not. I have not been human since a spell that my enemy used sent me to hell."
Gramps was gaping, his mouth opening and closing like he couldn't find the right words. Loki looked concerned, yet intrigued by her words, "Hell?"
Mother nodded as she moved into the livingroom and started undoing her armor. Loki barely let her get more then a foot away before following after her, helping her out of her armor as they moved to the bartop and laying them down. Mother turned one of the bar stools around, sat down and began her story from the beginning. "It all started on my fifteenth birthday..."
The story lasted until well after sunset. Gramps was already on his third glass of bourbon. He seemed to be listening intently, absorbing everything in before he gave any reaction. When the story was over, everyone sat in silence. The humans seemed to be processing, while Loki was only interested in Mother's well being. He gently lifted her chin up so she was facing him, his eyes scanning her face for any distress. She smiled up at him as a blush spreed across her cheeks. He gave her a crooked smile that Mother apparently found very arousing. I couldn't help the chuckle that escaped me. Uncle snorted beside me, both of our reactions drawing Mother's and making her blush even harder. I was totally right from the very beginning. Mother definitely has a thing for my new Father. As far as I was concerned, at that point, I liked what I had seen from him so far. He was completely enthralled with her and that was exactly what Mother deserved.
