Jessica, Elizabeth, and Cara were getting dressed and putting on their hair and makeup.
"Liz where is my curling iron!"
"Behind you!"
"Jess, can I borrow your eye palette?"
"Go for it."
All three were getting ready to head to the party at Casey's. They were getting dressed at Lila's, all three spent the night after their shifts ended at the studio. They didn't want to chance the LA traffic on the way here.
"I can't believe its been so long." Jessica mused. "It feels like yesterday I was here at a Unicorn Club meeting." Both twins were planning on wearing their hair and makeup almost identical to middle school. Jessica already had her dress, she bought it at Lisette's this morning. It was a simple lavender T-shirt dress, but she was wearing it with her Manolos heels. She even had her hair in waves, she wanted to show it off before she got it cut on Monday.
Elizabeth was a little bit more dressed up. Her dress was a deeper shade of purple, she bought it back when she lived in London. It was a nice form fitting cocktail dress with a high neck line, she was pairing it with those earrings she wore in New York when she attended that Broadway show. Her shoes were a basic pair of black shoes, she wanted to be comfortable.
"I can't believe you are wearing barrettes. Those are so passé." Jessica was looking at Elizabeth's hair with disdain.
"It is like looking at the past." Lila remarked walking in. She was still in her robe, she was still deciding what outfit to wear. She kind of went overboard with her spending. She had to pay back her father for the five outfits she bought. She justified spending that much money to outdo Rachael.
"The party is less than an hour. Lila, are you sure you can make it on time?" Elizabeth asked.
"I have to look my best. Bruce is meeting me at Casey's, apparently the lawsuit is going ahead." Poor Bruce. He said Clay's family had a justifiable case. Plus it was likely Reggie would be held responsible for vehicular manslaughter for Clay and his own two relatives.
"I feel funny attending this party. I never met you guys till ninth grade. I was going to school in El Carro in sixth grade." Cara was never shy, but there were people there she never met. She was wearing a black dress, but to match Jessica's dress, she was carrying a purple clutch.
"Everyone will love you. Most of us are seeing people we hadn't seen for years." Lila wondered who was coming, she knew all the former Unicorns were coming, most of them were bringing their partners, some with kids. She looked critically at herself, her hair and makeup was done, but she was debating on wearing a dress that will hide her belly, or a dress that was somewhat tight that will showcase her pregnancy. As for her shoes, she was wearing her dark purple Prada pumps.
"You need help picking out an outfit?" Cara asked.
"Actually yes."
"Knowing Lila, she'll take forever. Cara, would you mind if Elizabeth and I ride together?"
"I wouldn't mind. Lila, hope you don't mind if I hitch a ride with you."
"Go right ahead. But I'm driving. My parents took the limo."
An hour later, both Jessica and Elizabeth drive off in Jessica's rented Jeep. It took Cara and Lila another half hour to get ready. Once they were done, they drive off towards the Sweet Valley Mall.
