"That's great! Yep, don't worry, Brooke and I are helping you decorate. Good thing I still have my Kobe Bryant autographed jersey. Just make sure that is kept under lock and key." He joked. "Go sign those papers! Yes, I didn't forget. I'll get Ken and a few others to help you move to your new place. Okay! And congrats!" Winston hung up the phone. He was happy for Todd, he totally deserved it.

"How's Todd?" Winston smiled, feeling Brooke's arms around his waist.

"Looks like he'll be busy." He told Brooke about Todd. Brooke squealed in excitement.

"I knew it! Todd always had great management skills." Brooke heard of Todd's shenanigans while she was in UCLA. How he dropped out of college to work full time. Todd admitted it was a mistake, but that incident made Todd realize what he always wanted, to be his own boss. Frankie's had a rough start, but it looked like Todd was going to be alright. She kissed Winston.

After they pulled away, Winston smiles down at her. Their wedding was well under way, they were moving to Los Angeles in a few months, Winston found a house. His old friend, Tom Watts gave him a good deal. He and Tom stayed friends, even when he and Elizabeth broke up while they were in college. Tom wasn't a bad guy, just disillusioned about his biological father, George. Elizabeth ended up forgiving Tom, even after that incident with that cello player he was casually seeing. Both of them admitted their relationship was going way too fast. Elizabeth and Tom never became friends again, but were friendly with another.

"Mrs Egbert."

"Mr Dennis." Brooke teases back. Brooke was keeping her name for professional reasons, but agreed for their children to have the Egbert name. Not right away, but down the road after they settle in their new home, and with Winston having a new job.

Their wedding details were finally settled. They were getting married in the historic Sweet Valley district, they wanted a old school theme, a glamour wedding based in the twenties and thirties. Sonya, Elizabeth, Jessica, Lila, and Cara were in the wedding party, with Todd, Bruce, Ken, Shred and Aaron in Winston's. As for the reception, it was getting transformed to a tropical theme, with tropical flowers, tropical decor, island dancers, a buffet of island foods from various regions, complete with a roasted pig. Most of their former classmates were attending, with Dana and the Droids performing as a surprise for Brooke. The wedding was getting held near Halloween on Friday the thirteenth. Winston always said it was his favorite "holiday," he called it his lucky day. He claimed he aced every test, got lucky on every date, and always found his next good luck charm that day, which lasted all year. Brooke laughed, but after knowing Winston since childhood, she knew it was true. Every Friday on that day, everyone studied with Winston. All aced their tests after that day.

"Can't wait to marry you." Brooke said dreamily. She loved Winston with all of her heart. She reluctantly pulls away. "How's Bruce?" Bruce was finally released from the hospital. She was worried when Winston filled her in. At least Lila and Cara were okay, they came out with no scratches. Both were staying at Patman Manor, Bruce hired extra security for the grounds as well as for the two women. Neither went anywhere without bodyguards. Bruce and Lila's parent's spared no expense when it came to Lila.

"He's fine. Thankfully. Just a mild concussion. No broken bones, plus he was cleared for the accident. The police found his Porsche was sabotaged. His brake line was cut, exactly like Clay DiPlama's."

"Oh my god." Brooke put her hand over her mouth. "And Lila's?"

"A tracking device. Whoever is doing this was a professional. Neither was the target, Cara was. She can't go anywhere without a police escort."

"What are they doing about Karl?"

Winston shook his head.

"They believe Karl is innocent." Winston couldn't believe it. But when he watched the trails, Karl's lawyer said he had nothing to do with Cara. She argued, with proof that he was innocent. Cara was understandably angry, but the evidence against him was weak. However, the captain of that boat, he was still missing. Lacey argued he was the real mastermind, that he used Karl's money and contacts to get those drugs. But his identity was a mystery. No one was able to figure out who he was. Karl refused to say a word, not even to his son. Marco was still on trail in Italy, unfortunately it looked like he was looking at life.

"How? He has everything to lose. Cara's testimony would put him away."

"It's a he said, she said situation. Cara doesn't speak Italian. Nick Fox, he was suspended from his job. He was forbidden to testify. Looks like Karl is about to walk."

"Dammit." Brooke was furious. Lila almost lost her life, as well as her baby. Thankfully, both were fine, as well as Cara. Fowler Manor is getting rebuilt, the fire was contained to the east wing. The Fowlers were moving back once the mansion was done, although Mr and Mrs Fowler were thinking about moving. Lila was interested in buying it from her parents, her and Bruce needed a place to live, especially with their baby well on their way. "What about Cara?"

"I don't know. She refuses to talk to anyone. Not even to Lila." Winston and Bruce talked on a regular basis, Bruce was worried about his fiancée and future in-laws. George's heart wasn't as healthy as it used to be. With the fire and Lila's near accident, he was incredibly stressed out. Lila was working part time to ease the burden off her father.

"Poor Cara. Poor Lila." Brooke couldn't believe it. She just hoped nothing went wrong in her own life. She squeezes Winston's hand. "Let's watch a video." No way was she watching the news, it was too depressing. They watched a oldie, 'Checkered Houses.'

"I can't believe we are watching this." Brooke and her father were auditioning actors for the role of 'Diane,' the troubled heroine. The story changed from the old movie, it was now focused on the sister. She was the star. "Didn't you send the script to Jessica?"

"I did, but Jessica lost it. I sent her a duplicate."

"Typical Jess." Winston knew her well. He had a massive crush on her all through high school, even though she was mean to him half the time. She had a good heart, Winston defended her when she had it rough during senior year when Melissa and her cohorts had that smear campaign against her. Winston didn't believe any of the rumors against her, especially from Amy and Lila. Jessica found her true friends that year, she managed to get out unscathed, and was stronger than ever. She thanked Winston for always being there and kissed him on the cheek, making Winston's dream come true. She then made Winston promise not to say a word to anyone. Which Winston complied. "She will make a great Diane."

Both snuggled against the couch, lost in the story.
