Tia was humming as she vacuumed the floor. Her daughter was at her after school program, enjoying the company of her friends. Ever since Conner came back to Sweet Valley, Angela's nightmares stopped. Tia was glad, she was thinking of stopping Angela's sessions with the child psychologist.

"Finished." Once she put away the vacuum, she tided up the rest of her apartment. She wasn't due at work till six, she was waiting for Angela's babysitter. She was excited to see Conner, he was on his way home from New York.

She flushed remembering his last visit, he and her were talking over wine. It was so natural, it was like nothing changed since high school. As much as she loved Angel, had that fling with Trent, it was Conner that was always there. Tia was kicking herself for not kissing him, it was perfect that night.

"Eventually." She said out loud. When the house phone rang, she practically skipped to answer it. "Hello?" She gasped. "I'll be right there." She grabs her keys and runs out.

She saw Angela crying. She wasn't alone, her classmates were staring at her. When she sees the teacher in charge of the after school program, she demanded what was going on. Melissa McCormick, Angela's after school teacher, sighed.

"I'm afraid Angela got in an altercation with another student."

"What do you mean?" Tia demanded.

Melissa looked uncomfortable.

"She and a few girls were painting quietly. A student, David Reynolds was talking about his parents to his friends, when out of nowhere, Angela lashed out and ripped the painting out of the easel and pushed down David making him cry. Ms. Desmond, Sweet Valley Elementary has a zero tolerance policy against bullying. I'm afraid Angela won't be allowed back in the program. Mr. Bowman, the school's principal, wants to set up a meeting ASAP."

Tia looked at her daughter. She was no longer crying, she was sitting on the grass staring at the ground. Tia thanked Melissa and agreed to make a appointment with the principal. She walked up to Angela and took her to her classroom to pick up her things. She knew she had to schedule an emergency appointment with Angela's doctor, Angela clearly needed to see a professional.

Once they got into the car, Tia angrily asked why Angela was acting out.

"Angela. Why were you pushing a boy?"

Angela stares out the window.

"You will answer me young lady."

"He was being mean." She mumbled.

"According to Miss McCormick, he was talking to his friends and minding his own business painting. Tell me the truth!"

Angela started crying. Concerned, she pulled in a supermarket parking lot.

"Angela? Honey? What's going on?"

Angela pulls out a picture from her pocket and wordlessly hands it to her mom. Tia put her hand over her mouth.

"Oh god."

It was a picture of a store. There was a clerk who was crying, there was a man laying in blood on the floor. Another man was outside sitting in a car.

"Angela. Did you draw this?"

Angela shook her head.

"It was David's. I overheard him telling his friends that his dad was outside in his car when he saw Daddy getting shot. He was showing what happened."

Tia stared at that picture. No wonder Angela knew about that terrible day.

"David's dad. Did he ever call the police?"

"I don't know. He talks about it all the time. I was just afraid to tell you. You cry when Daddy's name comes up."

Oh god. Angel's murder was a cold case. She knew what she had to do.

"Angela honey, I'm not going to work today. Mrs Stevens, she will be watching you. Mommy has to see someone." She had to talk to the detective in charge of Angel's case. This David's dad, he may be the one to solve Angel's murder. This picture, it may be a key to this mystery.
