"Oh man. No way." Summer shut off the TV. "Brittany and Victoria are sisters not cousins? Fuck." Poor Victoria was in the wrong place at the wrong time. She was dressed in Brittany's outfit for her presentation at the company she worked. She was planning on telling their father that his perfect Princess was embezzling millions from his company. Then a intruder broke in and threw acid on Victoria's face, thinking she was Brittany. The last scene was Brittany walking in and screaming at seeing a disfigured Victoria on the bedroom floor.
"The twins didn't want to spoil it, but I'm glad they made me wait." Cara couldn't believe it. "I hate Brittany's guts, but she didn't deserve to have that stalker. Now Victoria is disfigured."
"No wonder you enjoy this show." Summer was glad to see her cousin cheering up. "I have to get ready for work, I have the evening shift."
While Summer was taking her shower, she went to check out the news.
Summer walked in to see Cara sobbing.
"Cara? What's wrong?"
Cara ignored her, instead she hands her phone.
''Oh my god. Cara, I'm so sorry." She knew about her and Marco. She remembered that faux wedding invitation. She knew that Cara was still in love with Marco. "Is there anything I can do?"
Cara shook her head.
"I'll be fine." She declined Summer's offer to stay home. After she left, Cara stared numbly at the wall. She should be relieved. Marco is finally gone from her life. But. Suicide. Cara couldn't help but tear up.
She walked over to the window and stared outside, seeing everything and nothing.
"Now what was she supposed to do?"
Cry?
Scream?
Celebrate?
Cara sighed.
"Marco." Despite everything he ever did, Cara still loved him with all of her heart. He wasn't perfect, but he treated her like a goddess. "Why?" Suicide. She knew Marco, he was no coward. "Fuck this." She was tired of hiding. Getting up, she went to take a shower. Summer left Cara her credit card, told her to treat herself.
An hour later, was out the door. She managed to make an appointment at the hair salon, sick of playing the victim. A new hairstyle will tell the world she was no longer hiding.
"Hello, Summer? Hi. I know you won't get this message till after your shift is over, but I'm heading back to Sweet Valley. I'll pay you back for the credit card charges as soon as I can. Love you."
Cara had her suitcase packed, she was jumping on the bus to Sweet Valley. Today she wasn't hiding anymore.
"Cara Walker is coming home." She said out loud.
