Brooke squealed as Winston carried her over the threshold. They just back from a relaxing honeymoon from Spain, and were looking forward to a regular domestic life.

"Home, sweet home. Mrs Egbert." Winston was a little disappointed that Brooke kept her maiden name, but he understood why. She was a daughter of a huge movie producer. He carried Brooke inside the empty house. Their furniture was still in Sweet Valley, neither had time to get it shipped in time. All of it was coming tomorrow. However, both were looking forward to sleeping in their new house as a married couple. An air mattress was better than nothing.

"It's so empty." For LA standards it was spacious, but small enough for two newlyweds. "What do you want to do first?" As Winston put her down.

"Have lunch, I'm starving."

They were eating burgers from a local place, the Dairy Burger was too far away. Winston burped as he polishes off his last fry.

"What do you think Lila is having?" Both couldn't make it in time for Lila's party, but both sent presents from Lila's registry.

"She is having a girl." Brooke was smiling. "If she is anything like Lila growing up, Bruce better be prepared."

"A girl huh? Good for them." Bruce will be a great dad, Winston knew it. "What do you think we'll have?" He wasn't ready yet, but he was looking forward to the future.

"A angel." Brooke gets up to throw away her wrappers. "I have to go to work."

"Now? We just got back." The flight was exhausting, even for first class.

"I know, but dad sent some videos, he thinks he has his Diane." Brooke had the final say, Diane was her vision. "I'll be back as soon as I can." She kisses Winston goodbye.

Winston was at a neighbourhood sports bar, he paid the bartender twenty bucks to see Can You Engage! Todd's episode was airing at the moment.

"So Todd, can you tell me about this new girl band? Online critics say teenage pop bands are just a generic music genre."

Winston booed at the screen, sure Lemon Drop were young, but Winston listened to their music. They were good. Andrea had good taste, she found them on Instagram. Better than the generic bubblegum music of today.

"These girls are a untapped talent." Todd says to the mic. "They're may be teens, but are ready to break records as the newest pop sensation." Todd excuses himself and walks to the stage. Before he introduces the band, the camera cuts to the interviews of the four band members.

Winston watches along with the bar, the bar patrons were betting to see if Todd will be eliminated before the semi finals. Winston hoped not, he, Brooke and their friends already were ready to vote multiple times on the website. Good thing the website had protection against bots, that way every vote was fair, the show had codes that they gave the viewers to call in for their vote. Once the commercial break was on, Winston calls Todd.

"Todd, are you watching this?" He knew that Todd was working at his bar tonight.

"Yep, the bar is packed." Winston heard the voices of Ken and Jade in the background asking for more beers. "Everyone in Sweet Valley is tuned in." Todd sounded incredibly nervous, Winston knew he was pulling double duty working at his bar and running the band's social medias full time. "How was the honeymoon?"

"Great, but I'll tell you later. I can tell you are busy." Winston heard the bar patrons screaming when the show came back on.

"Thanks Win. Talk to you later."

"Bye." Winston already had his phone out, he was already tweeting about the band.

Once he got back to his house, he was dismayed to see it dark and empty.

'Guess it's just me tonight.' He thought. At least Brooke had a easier commute home, her work was in LA.

Winston was watching his phone when he heard footsteps.

"Brooke? I'm down here!" It was after two, Brooke was very late, her food was chilling in the fridge. "Brooke?" Winston gets out of bed. He didn't have time to scream when he saw the dark shadow before he was knocked out cold.

Brooke was pulling in the neighbourhood when she saw emergency lights. When she saw a ambulance, she gasped when she saw a unconscious man getting carried out by a stretcher.

"Winston!" Brooke screamed. She speeds towards her house, almost running over a cop. She didn't have time to react before getting pulled out and getting steel cuffs clasped on her wrists. "My husband! What happened!" She knew why she was getting arrested, but at the moment didn't care.

"Ma'am, calm down." The cop tells her. She was just following protocol, this woman nearly ran over her foot. "There was a break and enter, your husband called 911, door was wide open when the paramedics found him unconscious."

"Take me to the hospital. You can charge me after." She was calling her father ASAP. Once the cuffs was off of her, she climbs in the ambulance with Winston. "Hurry." The cop said Winston fainted, but there was a large bruise on his left temple. The ambulance drives away with sirens wailing.

The figure watches as the ambulance drives away. He didn't mean to scare the guy, he was looking for the previous owner. He had to get outta here before anyone sees him. He was carrying Winston's phone, he needed his contacts before he threw the phone in the ocean.
