As we steadily approach the finale to series three, we begin the next arc, known as: Beyond!
With U.A. now on the path to closure, more and more students have started to drop out of the remaining parts of the school year, fearing that what happened to them under Aizawa's rule could happen to them again. Many of the older students in the hero course would be taken in by the agencies that they were interning and acting as sidekicks for before, whilst half of the students in the other course would move on to other schools or simply drop out and go home. The remaining teachers would try to run damage control to at least keep some part of the school intact whilst they tie everything up for the people under their care, but by the time they can successfully organise something, half of the students in the hero course have dropped out.
As the remaining teachers in the school get their affairs together, they converse about what happened with Aizawa and how they hadn't taken the time to notice and treat his mental degradation, and where everything for U.A. had begun to go wrong. Midnight and Present Mic in particular are distraught over not intervening when they had the chance to stop Aizawa from taking over the school and all the people inside it. This starts a conversation about the lack of awareness and recognition of mental health in Japanese society, even after two hundred years of having to deal with quirks that are influenced by one's mental and emotional state. Even when it is pointed out to them that Aizawa was using that Mind Stone thing on them, controlling them and preventing them from doing anything to stop them through some sort of mind control, Midnight and Present Mic still believe that it is all their fault. They were his closest friends and should've known better, and even when they are told that it isn't their fault and that all of this is on Aizawa himself, they are still inconsolable.
Then, the conversation drifts to where everything had started to go wrong for U.A., to which it is determined that the beginning of the end had started at Kamino, where Aizawa had expelled Peter, Izuku, Ochako, and several of their friends from U.A.. Several of the teachers wonder if overturning Aizawa's decision and keeping Peter and his friends in U.A. would've prevented everything that happened, but then they are told that it probably would've. In fact, keeping them in U.A. might've made things worse for them already. What's happened so far, not just to their students but to Peter and Izuku and all the others has been terrible, but if it had all been contained in U.A. then it would've harmed their students even more and brought all these conflicts to them. Plus, it would've set a bad precedent to the other students and make them believe that they could carry out vigilante acts with no consequences. Peter's expulsion from U.A., alongside all his friends, made have had negative consequences for them, but it may ultimately have been the best of a bad situation.
Meanwhile, what's left of 1-A and 1-B have been merged, and the likes of Momo, Sero, and Tsuyu are left distraught and confused on what to do now, traumatised over what happened to them under Aizawa's thumb. Shinso has been forced to drop out of U.A. thanks to his connection to Aizawa, and Mei has decided to leave U.A. as well, encouraging Momo and Sero to leave with her. However, Tsuyu is desperate to maintain some sense of order and normalcy within the few friends that she has left in the school, and Momo is left conflicted on what to do.
Soon enough, the news of the massive bounty put on the heads of every spider-person in Japan reaches what's left of U.A.'s populace, and Momo is forced to hide away her Iron Spider out of fear of attack from bounty hunters.
However, she still finds herself under attack from thugs anyway, seeking to kill her and bury her corpse along with her dreams. However, she is able to defeat them and hide away in Hatsume's home, where the two of them continue to work on the developing Future Foundation and combating the Life Foundation, all the while Momo continues to investigate the Meta Liberation Army and understand what its connection to her family is.
Meanwhile, Todoroki would attend a party of influential figures and potential recruits to the Meta Liberation Army, looked over by the four great leaders of the MLA, that being Curious, Trumpet, Skeptic, and Re-Destro himself. Re-Destro makes a speech to the potential recruits, thanking them for joining them in bringing about the beginnings of a new age of liberation for all those who wish to use their quirks as they please. Todoroki claps with the rest of the crowd.
For the next few weeks, Todoroki continues to attend MLA meetings, mingling with their recruits and giving them whatever information they want on the remaining U.A. students and their quirks, and even up to his own family, including his still tense relationship with Endeavor, which the MLA have promised to help him get revenge on, because at this point he still hates his father with a passion.
Soon enough, he begins to get word that the day that all the Meta Liberation Army has been working and planning for is fast approaching. They call it the Day of Liberation, the day when all their agents across Japan are activated and sent out to begin their revolution, taking over critical government buildings and hero agencies and allowing the Hearts and Minds party to seize political power. Once their objectives were accomplished, the government would be dissolved and then reinstated with the Hearts and Minds party at its centre, allowing them to pass any law that they wanted and providing them with the opportunity to begin the liberation of quirks in Japan, and then soon all across the world as well.
All that it needed now is for F.E.A.S.T., the Future Foundation, and the Spider-People are dealt with, and nothing, not even S.I.L.K. or All Might will be able to stop them...
Soon enough, the MLA begins to make work on these fronts, manipulating the police and politicians under their command to keep the Spider-People boxed in. The massive bounty that Overhaul had put on the Spiders would eliminate them soon enough. Now, all that they needed to focus on was clearing out F.E.A.S.T. and the Future Foundation through their assets in the Life Foundation, all before the two could become ideological threats to their power.
And Todoroki?
He offers them both to the MLA on a silver platter.
