Author note: So it's been over three months since the last update… I apologize for that, but sometimes life just gets in the way, doesn't it, and before you know it, it's been a month since you last picked up your laptop to write, and oops!
Although 98% of reviews are wonderful, of course, you do get the odd few who don't like it, which is, of course, completely understandable and expected. I think a few of the bad reviews mentioned the spelling/grammar, and I want to take a quick moment to apologize for that, and I will work harder to make sure it's to a better standard, but hey, as I said, I'm just one person, and we all make human errors, so please look past that if you can! But even then, I do apologize for the mistakes.
I hope you all enjoy it!

Severus rubbed his eyes as he looked up from the letter in his hand. It was too early to be worrying about something that was happening in a few months, but that didn't stop the concern from washing over him.
The potions guild dinner happened every year in November. The second Saturday of the month. Severus was invited to all of them, and now by default, so was Harry. The letter had gushed about how happy his mentors had been for him and how he must bring Harry along. They would put up all necessary precautions to ensure any wizard who wasn't invited could not enter into the building and how they would tolerate no violence.
But Severus was not worried about anyone infiltrating the dinner; it was the man he knew would already be invited in, that's what worried him the most.
Every year it was the same, he got an invite, Fredrick got an invite, and there was once a time they would have gone together. But this year, Severus would turn up with his husband, and not just any husband but one that Frederick had planned to kill with the dark lord.
He placed the letter down on the table, huffed slightly to himself, and walked into the bedroom to get changed for the day ahead.
There were only four days left until the term started again, four days left of living in peace within the castle. Four days left until Harry would have to face his classmates and endure whatever bullying and teasing were to come. Severus glanced over at the sleeping figure, it was still early, and he hadn't expected Harry to be awake at this time. Sleeping, he looked so peaceful, small up and down movements of his chest, eyes gently shut, hair messy, short breaths escaping his lips.
Severus turned his gaze away and grabbed his shirt and trousers, heading to the bathroom to get changed, and from there he would head out of his bedroom to the living room, with a cup of coffee, until Harry woke in about an hour. Then he would show him the letter. He would probably not even want to come; why would Harry Potter want to spend an evening with teachers, healers, and mentors of the potions world?
He turned the shower on and waited for the water to heat up, letting the bathroom become steamy with heat.
When he emerged back into the bedroom, fully clothed and ready for the day, he noticed the bed was now made, and no sleeping figure occupied it anymore. Eyes widening slightly, realizing he had left the letter open on the table, he moved quickly to the living room door.
"What's this?" Harry asked, as soon as the door shut behind Severus, making himself known in the living room.
If Harry didn't already have the letter in his hand and were reading it, Severus would have been inclined to lie. But instead, he reached out to take the message from him.
"A letter from the potions guild, it's the annual dinner they host. I have been invited, and this year my invitation also extends to you." Severus explained calmly.
"They want me there?" Harry asked, his eyes widening slightly. Why would anyone high up in potions want him there? He wasn't exactly the best student.
"Of course, I'm sure they would love to see the great Harry Potter in person." Severus drawled. He instantly regretted his choice of words, seeing the look on Harry's face. Making fun of Harry didn't have the same pleasure as it used to. Seeing how the boy wanted to be treated normally, Severus now just felt guilty whenever he wasn't.
Harry sighed before continuing.
"So, what is it?" He asked.
"A dinner, a rather formal event," Severus explained. Had he even read the letter? It had explained it all in black and white.
"What would I wear?" Harry asked, pulling slightly on the bottom of his ratty t-shirt. Harry suddenly felt embarrassed. He told himself he was ridiculous. Severus always dressed in the most excellent shirts and always looked so presentable. Almost handsome. Yet Harry never really cared about his clothes. He had worn whatever had fitted him the best at the Dursleys, and they were always hand-me-downs from Dudley.
Of all things to come from Harry's mouth, Severus had not thought it would have been that question.
"Formal dress robes, a bow tie of some sort." Unsure as to why he was telling Harry as he knew he would not be joining him. "You do not have to go if you do not want to."
"Will you be going?" Harry asked softly.
"Of course, I go every year. I don't see why I would decline an invitation now." Severus pointed out.
"Will it be safe?" Harry asked again.
"Some of the most powerful witches and wizards in the country will be there. They will go to great precautions to make sure that the room is safe for you." Severus answered back. Could Harry really be thinking of coming to this with him? Surely the boy had better things to be doing on a Saturday night than spending it with potion professors and medical geniuses.
"Safe for you too. He's not just after me." Harry said simply before continuing. "Do other spouses or…" Harry paused as if looking for the right word. "Dates go?" Date? Why did he choose that word?
"It is customary to bring your partner if you have one," Severus replied, determined to not use the word date. A date with Harry. He almost shivered at the idea, except he didn't. In fact, he didn't even feel disgusted by it one bit.
"Well, then I'm not going to say no, am I?" Harry smiled, taking the letter gently out of Severus's hand, letting his fingers lightly touch his.
"We could easily make some excuse saying it is not safe for you to go if you did not want to," Severus explained, watching Harry take the letter from his hands.
"Severus, I will not dishonor by not being by your side at an event that specifically included me," Harry said firmly, his voice suddenly changing as he looked up at him.
Severus thought very strongly then about telling Harry about Fredrick. He could just explain it all to him. How would he begin to tell Harry that an ex of his was there, he was one of the Dark Lords' very favorite Death Eaters, and he wanted to kill him. But he would be safe. How would he begin to go about explaining that?
He decided to leave it for another day, Harry didn't need to know, and apart from that one letter, Fredrick had made no contact. Severus had absolutely no reason to think Fredrick would try anything at the dinner, and he knew the Dark Lord would be furious with him if he killed Harry, as he had explained many times to his followers that was something he wanted to have the pleasure of doing himself.
"Very well, as long as you're sure. I will owl the mentors tomorrow with a response." Severus announced. Shocked that Harry had said yes, although there was still plenty of time for him to go back on his word.
"Do a lot of other people bring dates?" Harry asked, reading the letter once more. He didn't want to seem out of place. He also noticed how he had called it a date again. It wasn't a date. He was only doing his duty to look like a good husband.
"A lot of the mentors are fairly older than I; many are married, so many bring their wives or husbands," Severus answered back curtly. Did Harry just call this a date again? This was most certainly not a date.
"Did you ever bring a date?" Harry chuckled, realizing he had used that word again. He promptly shut up, seeing Severus' raised eyebrows and disappointing stare.
"Something funny?" Severus asked bitterly.
"No, not at all, simply asking a question."
"Hmm," Severus grumbled while turning his back to Harry.
"Which I've noticed you haven't replied to yet." Harry cheerfully said back, a small smile etched on his face.
"That is because the answer is none of your business," Severus replied, now turning back to look at Harry.
Harry laughed under his breath, that small smile still on his face.
"So yes, then?" Harry asked cheekily. He dramatically sighed. "Here's me thinking I would have been the first one."
Severus looked at him silently. A face expression that Harry could not quite register on his face. He was unsure if it was anger or pure astonishment.
"What?" Harry asked, aware that he had maybe crossed a line.
"You astound me sometimes," Severus said, no smile on his face. Harry's eyes widened.
"Compliment?" Harry asked him.
"No." Severus replied bluntly.
"I'll take it as one." Harry smiled again and couldn't help but feel pleased when he saw Severus's mouth twitch slightly as if a smile was aching to get through.
If Harry had thought a month ago, he would be able to get away with speaking to Severus Snape like that, he would never have believed it, yet here he was. The confidence he had around Severus now was much like around his friends, and although he didn't want to admit it, he could tell that he thought highly of Severus and genuinely enjoyed spending time with him. It pained him even further to realize that he actively looked for reasons to spend time with him.
"Right then, I'm heading off to breakfast. I know you'll say no, but still feel like it's tradition to ask you every morning now, would you like to come with me?" Harry smiled, expecting the usual curt but polite no.
"Actually, yes, I will join you today. I need to speak with Albus about something; I will do it now, will save me heading up to his office later." Severus had planned on heading to breakfast with Harry today anyway, but what he hadn't planned on was the smile that radiated off Harry's face when he said yes.
"Oh?" Harry asked, surprised.
"Is that alright with you?" Severus replied, regretting saying yes already by the tone of Harry's response.
"Of course! I just wasn't expecting you to say yes." Harry replied cheerily.
Severus looked at him silently. Harry confused him. Why was he happy to spend time with him?
"Well, if you're ready, I suggest we go, I'm always the last one there, and by the look at the time, I think today is no different." Harry smiled, leading the way to the door.
"Right," Severus answered and followed the young man out of the door as well, glad he hadn't put on anything more than a shirt and trousers as it was boiling.
He rolled his sleeves up, pushing them up past his elbows, and continued to walk down the corridor with Harry at his side. He was aware of Harry's eyes glancing towards him but just chose to ignore it.
"What do you need to speak to Dumbledore about?" Harry asked, looking at the now pushed up sleeves, before glancing up at Severus' face.
"It's about letting you go to the burrow, I haven't asked him yet, and as there are only three days left until Miss Granger and Mr. Weasley depart for there, I suppose I better actually make sure you're going." Severus glanced down at Harry. Although Severus assumed Harry knew he didn't want him gone, it still made him feel better that he was trying to get some distance between the two of them. Even he had to admit he had become far too close to the young man, and so quickly, it disturbed him. There was also the fact that he just genuinely wanted to make Harry happy, but he told himself he was doing it for the first reason.
"You don't have to if you think it will cause trouble?" Harry asked again. He wasn't desperate to leave the castle; in fact, he wouldn't mind if he just spent the last three days in his little home relaxing with Severus. But, his need to see Molly and Arthur, and Ron's family, who had inadvertently become his, was large, and he desperately craved some other human interaction except the people in this castle.
"Anything to have quiet for a couple of days," Severus replied.
Harry rolled his eyes. He was starting to think he really didn't want him around. But why?
"If it helps, I can go to the burrow every half term?" Harry replied, almost pushing him to say he wanted him to stay.
"I very much doubt Dumbledore would allow that," he replied. Pushing back the disappointment, he felt that Harry would want to spend every half term away from him.
"You could come with me?" Harry pushed some more.
"That really does sound like my own personal hell," Severus replied curtly. So curtly that Harry couldn't tell if he was being sarcastic or not. He chose to take it as not.
"The Weasley's are lovely people, don't let your Slytherin attitude blind you of that fact." Harry declared.
"I know they are very kind people, exactly why I could not spend more than an evening with them. Far too cheerful for my liking." Severus replied, glancing down at Harry quickly, a small smirk on his face.
"I don't know; I say you're rather cheerful nowadays," Harry smirked back at him, watching Severus' expression change on his face, as he lifted an eyebrow.
"And I'd say you're a bit too confident nowadays." He replied without missing a beat.
Harry's face dropped quickly, and he turned his head to the front, watching where he was walking.
"Don't worry, that will go when school starts again, and I spend every waking moment being stared at." He huffed.
"Does it bother you more at school?" Severus asked.
"It's worse here; these people are my peers, some of them my friends, yet they treat me so differently, and no offense, but this definitely will make things ten times worse." Harry sighed.
"Of course." Severus agreed.
"I guess you can just glare at everyone for me?" Harry suggested, a small chuckle leaving his mouth.
"I do that anyway," Severus said, now glancing down at Harry.
He had to stop looking at him. But every time the young man laughed, Severus just wanted to see.
"Won't be difficult then," Harry smiled up at him, happy to see the tiny lift of the side of his mouth, a small smirk forming on his mouth.
Harry swung the door open as Severus's small smile still lingered on his mouth.
"Oh, finally!" Hermione shouted, quickly shutting her mouth when she saw her professor walking in with her best friend.
"Bloody hell," Ron muttered, sharing his friend's astonishment. He squinted his eyes a little to see the both of them clearer. "Was that a smile?" He whispered frantically to Hermione, who too was looking like she had just seen something spectacular.
"No, a trick of the light surely." She whispered back.
"Looked like a smile to me." Ron hissed.
"No." Hermione said back quickly and sat up straight as Harry and her professor reached the table, smiling timidly at the two.
Severus' small smirk completely disappeared when he looked up from Harry to see Miss Granger, Mr. Weasley, Lupin, Minerva, and Albus staring at him.
"Severus, how wonderful of you to join us," Albus exclaimed from the end of the table, standing up to greet his friend.
"Albus," Severus replied, nodding at the older wizard, watching Harry take his seat next to Hermione out of the corner of his eye.
"Are you here for breakfast?" Remus asked the still standing Severus.
"Yeah, he is," Harry replied, leaning over the table slightly to grab a slice of toast.
"Please sit then, Severus," Albus spoke once more, putting his hand out to the seat next to Minerva diagonally opposite him. The furthest seat away from Harry.
With one last glance at Harry, Severus moved to take his seat next to Minerva.
Hermione did not fail to notice the glance but said nothing, and she would continue to say nothing until she figured out just exactly what was happening between the two of them.
To sit at the Gryffindor table was utterly alien to Severus; he already regretted coming down, and he wished he had just met with Albus in his office later that day, but now he felt he might as well get straight to the point.
"Why did you decide to join us today?" Albus asked Severus once he had taken his seat at the completely other end to Harry.
"I just wanted to ask something about Harry." He spoke quietly, yet the rest of the table's ears pricked up.
"Go on." Albus retorted.
"Mr. Weasley and Miss Granger are heading to the burrow in three days, correct?" At Albus' shake of his head, he continued. "Harry has asked permission if he could join. I have said we would ward the house for him, so there are extra precautions." He spoke calmly and matter-of-factly. But he heard the sigh that escaped Minerva's lips next to him and knew instantly this was a losing battle.
"I feel you of all people, Severus know this is not wise. The Death Eaters and Voldemort himself are watching the Burrow like hawks. You know that. If we went and started putting wards up surely, that would cause some very unwanted attention. They would know immediately what was going on." Dumbledore answered curtly.
Harry held his breath. He was unsure if Severus would fight for what he wanted or just leave it immediately. Severus wasn't one to drop arguments, though.
"I take it the wards we have already put up to protect the Weasleys would not suffice?" Severus questioned.
"I wouldn't want to take that risk," Albus replied curtly.
Severus knew this was a losing battle. But, he had fought a lot of losing battles and was still fighting, so he thought he would try one last tactic.
"Albus, you said something to me the day after all this happened. Do you remember what you said?" Severus now spoke loudly, letting everyone hear he was trying. They would think it was because Severus wanted Harry gone for a few days, but in reality, he just wanted to make Harry know that he would do a lot to guarantee his happiness.
'I want him to be surrounded by loved ones.'
"Of course I remember Severus, and I stand by what I said, however not at risk to his safety. I'm sorry." Albus meant it honestly. He didn't want to see Harry away from the people he loved, but things were far too risky. They still had heard nothing about Voldemort. He was unusually quiet.
"So, it's not happening then?" Harry said, glancing over at Severus, who at this particular moment was looking disappointingly over at Albus. "It's alright, I understand. I just haven't seen them since Christmas. Just wanted a bit of normality."
"Why don't they come here?" Remus suddenly spoke up quietly from the edge of the table. "I haven't seen Molly and Arthur in well over a year; it would be lovely to see them."
Hermione smiled silently at him while nodding in agreement.
"Mum and dad can bring my stuff for school, and then I don't have to pack myself. A win-win situation for me." Ron smiled brightly at his friend, opposite him.
Harry smiled back, softy in response.
The Weasleys were his family. He loved Arthur and Molly, he was treated like one of their own, and at this precise moment, Harry could do with seeing someone who would treat him normally, before the stares and whispers began as soon as school started again.
"I don't see any problem with that." Albus finally replied, after mulling over some details in his head quickly. "We can have them over in three days, the day before school starts again." Albus looked at Harry from where he was sitting. "Harry, please don't think I am keeping you from your family. I just need to make sure you are safe."
"I understand, Sir, everything you've done has been to protect me, I get it," Harry said, as Severus watched him absentmindedly twist his wedding band round on his finger.
Severus barely felt his wedding band anymore. He wasn't even aware he was wearing it. It was now such a normal thing in his life, the same normal that he shared his bed every night and that he woke up to someone every morning. A normal that shouldn't be normal.
"What a wonderful idea!" Minerva spoke, easing any tension the table now felt. "They can come in the morning, and then it's up to them if they want to leave in the evening or before the children arrive the next day." Minerva smiled. "Mr. Weasley, if your brothers are home, they are, of course, most welcome; Bill and Charlie were always one of my favorites; I would love to see how they are getting on."
"I think it's just Fred and George at home at the moment, Professor and, of course, Ginny," Ron explained.
The trio and Remus laughed as they saw her eyes widen and her face pale slightly.
"Maybe just your sister and your parents then wouldn't want the school to become a joke shop before the term even started," Minerva said, reaching out to hold her cup of tea.
"Are you sure? I'm sure they'd love to come back, try out some new experiments on everyone?" Ron laughed.
"Oh, I'm quite sure, Mr. Weasley. Thank you." She replied, sipping her tea, while Ron laughed.
Severus and Dumbledore were now having a very hushed conversation, and even from here, Harry could see he wasn't happy. It looked like he did want him gone for a few days. He must crave privacy. Or perhaps it was something else entirely. Maybe Severus wanted him gone so he could see someone else.
They had never discussed the possibility of having a relationship outside of this marriage as it had never occurred to Harry that that could happen. But what if that was true and Severus was seeing someone else. That thought made Harry's stomach churn, and he wasn't entirely sure why. No, Severus would never have been as stupid as that. He knew that Harry's life depended on people thinking this marriage was real. He wouldn't risk it all for this. But the thought of someone staying on his side of the bed while he was out made Harry feel sick. So sick, he put down his knife and fork. Maybe he'd overeaten?
"Why do you want him to go to the Burrow, Severus?" Albus questioned in hush tones. He assumed Harry and him were getting along perfectly. Better than anyone had expected. He'd never heard of any arguments between them and hadn't seen Harry as much as he thought he would have, meaning that he was spending time with Severus in their rooms.
"I want him to be happy, and he deserves to be happy," Severus replied quickly back. As if he didn't want anyone to hear what he truly felt.
"He is happy," Albus stated, glancing over at the young man, who was currently trying not to look as if he was eavesdropping on the conversation.
Severus scoffed back and sat further back in his chair.
"This is the happiest I've seen him in months," Albus stated once more. "We will have this conversation later, as obviously, you care for him more than you're letting on." With that final word, the conversation was over; Severus and Albus both knew it.
Albus had won, and Severus was livid.
Severus sat back in his chair once more. He was silently glaring at Albus. How dare he suggested he cared for Harry more than he always had. It was his duty to protect him, nothing more.
"If you excuse me, I have things to be getting on with," Severus said, rising from his chair and heading swiftly out of the room.
"Anything I can help with?" Remus asked the retreating figure.
"No. Thank you, Lupin." Severus replied curtly, and with one last glance back at the table, purposely avoiding Harry's eyes, he opened the doors of the great hall and left.
Harry was aware of the door closing, but he wasn't mindful of the fact that he had pushed his chair back roughly and was now standing up.
"Harry?" Hermione questioned, tugging on his hand gently.
"Sorry I think I should go as well." He said, smiling at the table. "Thank you for breakfast." He said and started walking to the door.
"Bye then." Ron sighed as he watched his best friend leave without so much as a personal goodbye.
"They're friends, Ron." Hermione shrugged. "They've been living together for a month, and you can tell they like each other. Professor Snape will be a part of Harry's life for the next year, and therefore he's going to be a part of ours. We just have to get used to it."
"You don't think they're too close, do you?" Ron asked a look of disgust masked his face, before realizing he was talking about his best friend, and if his best friend liked this man well, that was something Ron was going to have to get over.
"No." Both Remus and Hermione said at the same time, forcefully.
"I think Harry just likes having someone permanent in his life. Somewhere he can call home." Hermione shrugged again and picked up her cup of tea, hoping she was right.
Harry ran to catch up with Severus, who had walked a lot further than expected. Harry could tell by his face when he finally reached him that he was in a foul mood.
"Thank you for trying," Harry said softly.
Severus was not in a mood that Harry could not go to the Burrow; in fact, he was secretly rather glad that he got three more days before school started again. What angered Severus the most was that he had promised Harry he would try and do something for him, yet he had failed because of Albus. Severus was used to getting his way and was always angered when that wasn't the case.
"You're welcome, sorry, there was not a better outcome."
"I'm happy with this one, of course, it would have been nice to go to the burrow and to feel normal, but maybe we'll try again at Christmas?" Harry half-joked. Harry waited for half a second, realized there was no reply to come and carried on. "What did you mean when you said Dumbledore said something to you the day after we were married?"
"He said you need to be surrounded by people who love you, so I said, why give you to me." Severus strode down the hall fast; he wasn't in the mood to talk about Albus and their private conversations, especially concerning his fake marriage, which was becoming easier to bear day by day.
"I don't belong to you," Harry said suddenly, stopping in his tracks in the hall.
Severus turned to look at him and sighed gently.
"I never said you did. The wrong choice of words, I said, why do you surround him with me."
"Maybe he thinks you're a better person than you think?" Harry suggested, strolling closer to Severus.
At that, Severus huffed and turned on his heel, walking at a fast pace down the corridor to his home again.
"And what do you think?" He called back to Harry, who again had now taken up a fast walk.
"I think he's right," Harry said, shrugging his shoulders lightly.
Severus looked as shocked as he felt. Harry chuckled at his face, now walking at an average pace, he could see Severus had visibly calmed down. Who knew the boy who spent six years making his professor angry beyond belief now had the power to calm him down.
"You're not as horrible as people think you are. You're nothing like it." Harry spoke quietly, eyes now wholly focused on the corridor.
"Just wait till school starts," Severus muttered.
"I'm dreading it," Harry said truthfully. "Classes are going to be so weird. How do we behave? How do we act like we don't live together but still have to keep up that student and teacher appearance? I'm honestly dreading it." He babbled as if he didn't want to admit it.
"If this is your way of suggesting I go easy on you in potions, you are sorely mistaken." Severus clarified.
"As long as you're fine with me going above and beyond to try and beat Slytherin for the quidditch cup this year, just to spite you." Harry joked back, laughing lightly; his mood instantly lifted.
"I wish you luck with that; you're not beating my team." Although Severus didn't care much for quidditch, it was always pleasing to see Slytherin win over any house, especially Gryffindor.
"We'll see. Not sure if you've heard, but I'm the captain." Harry smiled wider.
"I had no idea," Severus replied sarcastically.
"When was the last time you played?" Harry asked, genuinely interested in the answer.
"Probably when I was your age." Severus guessed. He was never overly sporty; he preferred spending time learning and wasn't great at quidditch. Although he wasn't a bad flyer, he just tended to take more interest in academics than flying around a field on a broom.
"Ages ago then?" Harry teased.
Severus glared softly at him, with no venom in whatsoever, even though he tried to conjure it.
"I'm joking; I know the age gap isn't that big," Harry said playfully, before his eyes widened slightly, suddenly realizing what he had said. He had just, for the first time, brought up the age gap in their marriage, and they weren't even talking about that; they were talking about quidditch. Why had he done that?
"In the muggle world, it would be." Came Severus' quick reply.
"Good thing we're in the wizarding world then." Harry smiled softly back.
"Quite." Was all Severus said in return.
"So fancy a game?" Harry laughed again, wanting to get back to a much brighter conversation.
"Please tell me you are joking." Severus glanced at Harry, looking slightly startled.
"Not now, but another time, I want to see how good you play!" Harry attested
"No." Severus replied bluntly, determined to get off the subject of himself playing quidditch.
"Because you'll know I'll win?" Harry said cheekily. He was aware of the fact that this was probably crossing some line, but in his mind, the line had already been crossed the minute he put this ring on his finger, so at least he could live comfortably with him now; and if continuing to cross lines was what it would take to make the next year enjoyable, then Harry would jump over them happily.
"No, because I'm a teacher, and it's not professional," Severus replied matter of factly. He knew Harry would win, but there was no harm in telling a lie to preserve him of any more facts that would make his ego swell.
"McGonagall would definitely play a game of quidditch if I asked; I see the way she looks when we're all paying. Come on Severus, just one game, just once this year." Harry stated. "Once before July 31st."
"You just don't give up, do you?" Severus quipped.
"Not with something I really want."
"We'll see." Severus paused, seeing the door to their home up ahead. "What are you doing for the rest of the day?" He asked.
"What are you doing?" Harry asked immediately after.
"I've got final lesson preparations, and I wanted to have one last attempt at a new potion," Severus said, pausing to say the password to the door and watching it swing open.
"Is it alright if I just stay with you?" Harry asked, slightly timid all of a sudden. He had never spent a whole day with Severus just in their rooms, and he most certainly had never asked.
"Really?" The shock evident in his voice.
"Yeah." Harry shrugged.
"As you wish," Severus replied, a sudden wave of what felt uneasily like happiness washed through him. Quickly pushing it aside, he helped his hand out for Harry to walk through the door, where Severus followed behind.
Severus shut the door behind him, and the door remained closed until the following morning.
Author note: I love cheeky Harry. I loved that sarcastic personality in the books, and I wished they showed it more in the films. I love writing him this way, and I think it adds a bit of flirtiness to the story, which would be quite hard to get there without.
On the plus side, I think they both feel something, but Harry's confused as hell as Severus is so in denial that he doesn't even see his feelings… We'll get them there eventually :)
I hope you enjoyed it! I would say the next update wait won't be as long as this one, but honestly, I'm not promising anything.
Thank you all for reading. It means the world!
