Ici il y a des dragons Chapter 5

Search for the Dragon Slayer

Gilles walked towards Dark Jeanne with a calm expression.

"Well, did Berserk Rider find them?"

Gilles nodded. "She did, but unfortunately, it would seem she disobeyed your order, and fought against the enemy."

Dark Jeanne raised an eyebrow. Why would Berserk Rider do that, unless…

"Oh I see, that damned saint regained her sanity. And she decided to remove herself from the fight by letting them kill her."

Dark Jeanne clicked her tongue in irritation. The Servant gripped her flag. "Looks like we underestimated them. But no more. The next time we see them, "he" and I will take care of it. And I'll be taking the new Servant and Berserk Assassin."

Dark Jeanne turned to face Gilles. "Contact Berserk Lancer and tell him to continue his search."

Gilles nodded. "It will be done."

The Female Servant raised an eyebrow at Gilles. "Say Gilles, who do YOU think is the real one? Me, or that little Ms. Goody-Two-Shoes?"

Gilles laughed. "It's you of course! You were burned at the stake, betrayed by everyone, even the king, who didn't want to pay for your ransom. And who is to blame for all this? God! He was mocking us! And thus we shall deny him, right Jeanne?"

Dark Jeanne chuckled. "Yeah, you're right. Everyone did leave me, and allowed me to burn in the name of their so-called God."

Dark Jeanne gripped her flag tighter. "Everything is all wrong. Everything I believed in, this very nation that I fought for us wrong. And now? I aim to correct that error."

Gilles shook his head. "You mustn't get too stressed over this Jeanne. Your vengeance is righteous. Isn't that all there is to it?"

Dark Jeanne smiled. "You're right Gilles. Thank you."

Dark Jeanne heard footsteps and saw Carmilla, alongside a young man with white hair and blue eyes, wearing a large, black overcoat.

"You wished to see us?" The man asked.

Dark Jeanne nodded. "Berserk Assassin, As- no, you know what? I'm just going to use your True Names. Carmilla, and Charles-Henri Sanson, get on your wyverns. I'll lead the charge this time."

Sanson simply nodded. "Very well Master."

As the two Servants got on their wyverns, Dark Jeanne climbed atop her dragon and smirked.

"Let's see how you handle this, table scraps."

(Meanwhile)

"And that's all I have."

Marie smiled and nodded. "I see. Thank you for the information!"

The citizen shook her head. "It was no problem Ms…"

"Marie Antoinette. Just keep passing it down for about three hundred and sixty years, and maybe something will come of it."

Before the citizen could reply, Marie walked off with a giggle. The Rider walked out of the town and ran towards the Chaldeans, Mozart and Jeanne with a beaming smile.

"I got some information everyone!"

"What did you find out?" Ritsuka asked.

"Well Lyon, the city that Saint Martha mentioned, was destroyed a few days ago. And its refugees are now settling here."

Everyone looked at each other in concern. It would seem that their search for the dragon slayer became more difficult.

"So it's as we feared….." Jeanne muttered.

"Yes." Marie answered. "The survivors said that the town is overrun by monsters that rose from Hell itself."

"Well that doesn't sound good." Tatsuko muttered.

"It doesn't, but I fail to see how this relates to the dragon slayer." Medusa replied.

Marie shook her head. "I was about to mention that the refugees said that Lyon had a protector."

"A protector?" Mashu asked.

Marie nodded. "It's obviously a Servant."

"Did they say what they looked like?" Mashu asked.

"They said it was a man, and that he was a knight with a large sword." Marie answered.

"Well that doesn't exactly narrow it down." Cú replied.

"Maybe not, but I'm wondering what he did to protect the town." Emiya chimed.

"Well, he killed a few dragons and skeletons during the attack."

Everyone's eyes widened in shock.

"Did you just say that he killed dragons?" Medea asked. "As in multiple?"

"Oui. That's what they said."

Everyone looked at each other. It would seem this dragon slayer was incredibly powerful.

"What happened next?" Mozart asked.

"I believe some Servants that Dark Jeanne summoned came by, and overwhelmed him. He's been missing ever since."

Everyone barring the Chaldean Trio stared at the Rider crestfallen. Mashu sighed but held her head high. "I believe in the words of Saint Martha. He's alive."

"Mashu's right." Ritsuka said. "From what Saint Martha said, the dragon slayer we need to find was still alive and kicking."

"Oh, I think there's still some good news for Lyon though!" Marie answered.

"What do you mean by that?" Kojiro asked.

"They said that General Gilles de Rais is marshaling an army in order to take back Lyon."

Jeanne's eyes widened. "Did you just say Gilles?"

Artoria glared silently as Marie nodded. "I understand you two were close. Maybe we could ask for his aid?"

"I'm sure it's not a good idea to meet with him." Mashu answered.

"Why not?" Marie asked. "He's an admirer of Jeanne, isn't he? If she asks him, he's sure to lend us a hand."

"It's exactly the reason why Marie." Jeanne answered. "He knows that I'm now the Dragon Witch, so there's no way he'd accept me…."

Marie tilted her head and smiled. "I don't think it's the right call, but I understand that you might not want to see him. Okay let's just forget about him, we are in a hurry after all!"

"Yeah, besides I don't think regular soldiers are going to be able to kill those flying fuckers." Tatsuko said.

"Tatsuko, watch your language!" Jeanne said sternly.

"It's okay Jeanne, no one here is offended." Kojiro replied. "Besides, I'm pretty sure your God will give her a pass."

Jeanne sighed and nodded. "I apologize, I'm just not…used to it. But in any case, we can handle these monsters on our own."

"Yeah, and with how many Servants we gathered, it should be a cinch!" Tatsuko replied.

"Then what are we waiting for?" Ritsuka asked. "Let's go find the dragon slayer in Lyon."

Marie giggled. "Oui, oui! Very good! Here's a reward for both of you!"

Marie leaned in and kissed Tatsuko on both of her cheeks, causing everyone to stare at her in surprise. Their eyes widened as she pulled Ritsuka in and kissed his cheeks as well. Unbeknownst to everyone else, Mashu stared at the scene with a small pout.

"M-Marie! What are you doing?" Jeanne asked.

"Sorry, just ignore what she did." Mozart replied. "Marie has had a bad habit of kissing everyone. In fact it caused total chaos in the palace once. There were factions that formed of people she kissed and those she didn't."

Marie looked at the two Masters and noticed the looks on their faces. It was clear that they didn't really know how to process what happened.

"Do you people not do kisses?" Marie asked.

"No, no we do not." Ritsuka answered bluntly.

"Oh, I see." Marie said. "Well, don't think to hard on it."

"I agree." Medea said. "Besides, we shouldn't be standing out here for much longer."

"Then we have only one thing to do." Ritsuka said. "We have to get to Lyon and get rid of any monsters there before the French forces arrive.

Everyone nodded and headed towards their next destination.

Two hours into their journey, the group fought numerous wyverns, undead creatures, and apprehended a group of bandits terrorizing the countryside. As they finished bringing the bandits to the local authorities, the group decided to try and discover the identity of the dragon slayer.

"So I just remembered something." Ritsuka said. "Medea, wasn't Heracles considered a dragon slayer?"

Medea nodded. "Yes, but I'm thinking that after what Martha said, Heracles might not be who she had in mind."

"But he'd be able to do the job right?" Tatsuko asked.

"Theoretically? Yes, but he'd probably need help depending on who we're facing." Medea answered. "So we're back to square one."

"Well it just so happens that I know a few dragon slayers myself." Artoria said with pride. "And they all happened to be members of my Round Table."

"Let me guess, Sir Lancelot du Lac, Sir Tristan and Sir Gawain." Ritsuka said.

Artoria stared at him in slight shock. "I'm surprised that you'd know that."

"Doc taught me quite a bit of Arthurian mythology, or rather your mythology."

"I see. Well in any case, I hope it's one of them." Artoria said. "It would be good to see one of them again….."

"Well it could be one of them, or it could be someone else." Emiya said. "I'm betting it's Nehza."

"Not a bad pick, but I don't think they'd have been clobbered by that many Servants." Cú said. "I bet it's Beowulf."

"Okay that would be great." Ritsuka said. "But didn't he die to the same dragon he killed?"

"That he did." Medusa answered. "As for who I think, and I can't believe I'm even saying this, but I'm hoping it's Perseus."

Everyone looked at her with surprise.

"If it's him then this will be VERY awkward." Tatsuko said.

"That's putting it mildly." Medusa muttered. The Rider turned to Mashu and smiled. "Who do you think it is Mashu?"

The Shielder smiled. "Personally I think it's the most famous dragon slayer. Saint George."

"Oh that would be lovely!" Marie chimed.

"Yeah, that's a really great pick Mashu." Ritsuka said. The Shielder blushed at his comment.

"O-oh, thanks Senpai." She said. "But who do you think it is."

Ritsuka put a finger to his chin for a moment. "You know, I think it could be Sigurd."

"Well damn, I thought you'd say Siegfried." Tatsuko said.

"Well it could be either of those two." Ritsuka countered. "They both did slay Fafnir in their respective legends afterall."

"I must say, I'm impressed with your knowledge about different mythologies young man." Mozart said.

Ritsuka chuckled. "Well Mashu, Tatsuko and I occasionally spend time in Chaldea's library and read more about different legends and histories in order to have a better understanding of whatever potential Heroic Spirits we come across."

"Makes sense." Kojiro answered. "How about you Tatsuko? Who do you think it is?"

"Maybe Dobrynya Nikitich?" Tatsuko asked.

"I'm actually not familiar with that one." Ritsuka said.

"From what I read, he's a folk hero from Russia that killed a multi headed dragon." The female Master replied.

"Well, it sounds like we have a lot of good candidates." Jeanne said.

The group continued to make their way to Lyon. Along the way, Tatsuko looked at Jeanne, and noted her conflicted expression.

"Hey, what's wrong Jeanne?"

The Ruler sighed. "I'm just worried about that other me…I just have a hard time grasping that there's a version of me that could do all this."

"Yeah, I know what you mean." Tatsuko said. "I remember a month ago when Mashu, Twig Boy and I faced a corrupted version of Artoria."

"Is that so? Must have been a really tough fight."

"Yeah it was definitely frightening, but we made it out thanks to Mashu. We're lucky that Dark Artoria isn't here, she and Dark Jeanne would probably get along."

"Yeah… I don't even want to think of that."

Tatsuko placed her hand on Jeanne's shoulder while smiling. "What I mean is, we beat one emo Heroic Spirit, we'll beat this one too, don't worry."

Jeanne smiled. "Thank you Tatsuko."

"No problem!" Tatsuko replied with a giggle.

As that was going on, Mashu looked at Marie and tapped her shoulder. The Rider turned and smiled at the Shielder.

"Hello Mashu, how can I help you?"

"Well, I was wondering if we could talk?" The lilac haired girl asked.

"Oh of course! What would you like to know?"

Mashu thought for a bit, before taking a deep breath. "How about your time as Queen of France?"

Marie giggled. "I bet you're wondering what I think of the Revolution."

Mashu recoiled. "W-well, I admit that I am curious, but you don't need to answer it if you don't want to-"

"Oh it's perfectly fine! It's all in the past." Marie replied.

Mashu nodded. "Soooooo, what was it like, being a queen?"

Marie thought for a moment before snapping her fingers. "It was definitely a strange, yet also incredibly fulfilling experience. Being able to put smiles on everyone's faces, helping them with their troubles, I was just so happy to help the smallfolk."

Mashu looked at her with curiosity. "But…..the people revolted against you."

Marie nodded. "I know, but I like to believe that it was simply time for the monarchy to go. Times were changing, and we didn't adapt."

"I see…." Mashu sighed. "And you hold no ill will towards them?"

Marie nodded. "I don't hold a grudge whatsoever! I feel like my life was meant to end that way. And I can look back at everything, well almost everything, fondly."

Mashu raised an eyebrow. "Like what?"

"Well, I was surrounded by many friends. Then I became a mother to four beautiful children."

"I heard about that." Mashu said. "In fact, I believe your eldest became a queen for only twenty minutes."

Marie giggled. "I see! Well I'm glad she managed to survive. But I sense you have another question, non?"

Mashu nodded. "What was your husband like? Did you two get along?"

Marie giggled once more. "Of course I did! I loved him with all my heart."

Mashu looked at the sky. "Love…"

Marie stared at Mashu with a curious expression. "Is something wrong?"

Mashu shook her head. "I'm sorry, it's just….I only understand love in theory, not practice."

Marie giggled. "Don't worry, you'll understand what it feels like when the time comes. And when you do, it'll be one of the happiest moments of your life."

Mashu smiled. "Thank you Marie, I promise that I'll do my best to better understand love!"

Marie giggled. "That's the spirit!"

"Hey guys, I think I see Lyon up ahead!" Emiya said. "Jeanone, can you tell me if-"

"It is." Jeanne answered. "I'm certain of it."

"Then let's not waste anytime!" Ritsuka said.

"Okay everyone, let's commence pest control and find that dragon slayer!" Tatsuko shouted.

The Servants nodded and ran towards Lyon.

The group stared at the now ruined town of Lyon, smoking and surrounded by monsters. Fortunately for them, they arrived before the French Army did, so they might have room to maneuver, if they were careful. The plan was simple: find the dragon slayer Servant quickly and quietly, then deal with the monsters in Lyon. Ritsuka looked back at the others, and silently signaled for them to enter the town quietly.

As they got closer and closer, the Servants quickly dispatched any undead creature that could spot them. As soon as the front gate was secured, the group moved into the city.

They moved as silently as they could. Along the way, they saw multiple wyverns resting, feasting or fighting each other. The distractions proved to be an advantage for them, as they snuck through an alleyway to avoid them. They left on the opposite end, and everyone, barring Mashu, rolled their eyes at what they saw.

An even bigger group of wyverns. But thankfully they were all sleeping. The group looked at one another and nodded. They would all move together VERY slowly in order to get around them. They were nearly halfway towards the next alley way, and they could probably be able to hide somewhere to-

Snap!

Everyone looked around in shock at what caused the sound. The Chaldeans, Mozart and Jeanne turned around and saw a snapped twig under Marie's foot.

"Oops, sorry…"

The wyverns stirred from their slumber, and saw the group staring back at them. The lead wyvern snarled as it started to sniff them. It would seem that the reptile intended for them to be a snack. The lead wyvern looked at Medusa especially, and licked its lips.

"Everyone, get behind me. I don't want to accidentally hurt anyone here."

The group did as she asked. Medusa then removed her blind fold again, and turned the wyverns to stone. The petrified statues started to crack, and then shattered to pieces.

"Oh, looks like my eyes work now." Medusa said. The moment she put her blindfold back on, the Rider smiled and pumped her fist in the air, only to turn back and see the rest of the group staring at her. The Chaldean Trio stared at her in confusion. Mozart, Emiya, Artoria, Kojiro and Cú looked at her with amused grins, while Medea pinched the bridge of her nose in annoyance.

A mighty roar broke their concentration. They turned and saw the wyverns they snuck around earlier in the air, staring back at them. The group immediately readied for battle, with Emiya aiming his bow, and firing four arrows into four wyverns' eyes, killing them instantly.

Heracles simply leapt into the air, and grabbed the necks of two wyverns and snapped them like twigs. He threw their dead bodies at another group of wyverns, distracting them from Medusa, who turned them to stone like the others. The Rider then moved on to the next wyvern by leaping onto the roof tops.

Artoria and Jeanne fought back to back. Defeating any wyvern that came near them or the Chaldean Trio. One wyvern dived to attack Jeanne, but the Ruler used her flag to smack it away, sending it flying near Cú, who pierced it with his spear.

Artoria stabbed another wyvern in the heart. Another wyvern attacked her side, but Kojiro saved her by slicing its wings before it could do anything. The Assassin then slew four more wyverns in rapid succession.

"Okay, I get the feeling he's the dragon slayer we've been looking for." Cú said jokingly.

"If that's the case, then maybe we should let him do all the work." Artoria replied playfully. The two of them returned to the task at hand and slew two more wyverns.

As that was happening, Mashu leapt into the air and slammed her Shield into the head of a wyvern, causing it to fall to the ground and at the mercy of Medea, who killed it with a lightning bolt. The Caster shot three shards of ice at three more wyverns, killing them instantly. One wyvern targeted the two Masters, but Marie and Mozart got in between them.

The Caster fired a spell at the wyvern, taking the shape of musical notes. Marie fired a simple orb at the wyvern. The combined projectiles exploded upon contact with the wyvern, killing it.

"Marie, how did you do that?" Tatsuko asked.

Marie smiled and winked.

Ritsuka looked around and clicked his tongue in frustration. While they're definitely not losing the battle, there were simply too many of them to fight. If this continued, one side was going to tire.

"I don't think we're going to keep this up for long." He said.

"Yeah, this is really starting to drag out." Tatsuko replied.

(CV: Not our fault that there are so many wyverns in this god forsaken Singularity Tatsuko!)

The two Masters looked at each other and nodded before opening their mouths in unison:

"RUN!"

Everyone immediately started to run. Medusa leapt off from the rooftops tops alongside Emiya and looked at the two Masters.

"What now?" She asked.

Ritsuka turned on his communicator and saw Roman looking at the monitor.

"Roman, have you found the dragon slayer yet?"

Roman nodded. "I'm getting a reading in that castle up ahead! It's faint, but it's definitely a Servant."

"Okay, get to the castle and make contact with the Servant, sounds easy enough." Ritsuka said.

"Just get to him quickly!" Roman shouted. "You have wyverns closing in on you fast!"

"I'll take care of it!" Medusa replied. She turned around, allowing everyone to pass by her before opening her blindfold again. The moment she did so, the wyverns immediately turned to stone and fell to the ground, shattering as they hit the buildings below.

The Rider put her blindfold back on, and ran to catch up to the others. The moment she did so, she had to leap out of the way as a wyverns corpse nearly hit her, courtesy of Kojiro.

A few minutes later, they entered the castle. As they did so, the stench of death filled the air. The castle was completely dark, forcing Medea to ignite some candles close by. The moment she did so, everyone got a good look at the room, and the hearts of the Chaldean Trio and Jeanne sank.

The room was littered with corpses. The bodies were all burned thoroughly from dragon fire. As they walked through the carnage, Ritsuka stopped, and his eyes widened in horror.

The burned remains of a child. Its hand was outstretched as if begging for help before their death. Ritsuka breathed heavily at the sight. His eyes darted back and forth, and his body began to shake before he felt a hand on his shoulder.

"Senpai, are you okay?"

Ritsuka turned to find Mashu. The male Master shook his head. "No, not really. It's just…I can't stomach how they died. It's a terrible way to go….."

"Yeah…." Tatsuko muttered. "All these people…..they must have been terrified."

Emiya and Marie walked up to them gently.

"I understand that you two aren't comfortable with this." Emiya said. "Heck, even I can't help but feel sick after seeing this, but don't despair. If we find the dragon slayer, and defeat Dark Jeanne, we can prevent more people from meeting the same fate."

"He's right!" Marie said. "If we do that then all of this will be like it never happened."

The Chaldean Trio nodded.

"Thanks you two, that's what we needed to hear." Ritsuka said. "Okay, enough sitting around here. Time to find that dragon slayer."

The group continued to walk through the castle. First checking the base floor to see any signs of the dragon slayer. After finding no sign of them, the group then decided to head to the armory. Aside from some weapons, there was nothing of note.

"Damn, can't believe all these weapons are going to waste." Cú said. "They're in great condition too."

The group went into the kitchens next. While they were certain the dragon slayer wouldn't be in there, it wouldn't hurt to be sure. A loud crash broke the silence. The group turned around to see Tatsuko and Artoria carrying a lot of food in there hands.

"What?" Tatsuko asked. "We were hungry."

"You guys don't need that much food." Jeanne said sternly.

The two girls sighed and dropped the food…well, most of it.

The group trekked onwards towards the throne room. Of all the rooms, they were expecting the dragon slayer to be there the most. But unfortunately, they weren't there. All that was there, was the damaged throne. The seat had small burns on the cloth, and the seat itself looked like part of it was cut off at the back. The tapestries were in tatters, with the windows completely shattered.

"I don't know about you guys, but this doesn't look like something from the time period anymore." Ritsuka said.

"Yeah, it's as if the entire throne room aged a few centuries….." Mashu replied.

"Well, castles can be rebuilt." Artoria said. "It's the lives taken that are the true loss."

"Fair point." Ritsuka replied. "Okay, there's nothing on the ground floor. Let's head upstairs."

The Chaldeans and their allies nodded. The moment they left the throne room, Ritsuka looked back and sighed. It was a darn shame, he really wanted to know what it was like to sit on a throne.

The group headed upstairs to find the dragon slayer. They slowly walked up the steps, checking every room they could. Most of them were damaged beyond repair, and it was doubtful the Servant would use those to hide.

A small groan could be heard from the hall. The Chaldeans and their allies rushed towards the source, and found the last room to open.

Ritsuka gently opened the door, and everyone went inside. The moment they did so, they found a man lying in a chair, as if in pain.

He was a tall man with platinum blonde hair that looked almost silver. He wore a black shirt with matching black pants. He wore metal gauntlets on his arms, and metal guards around his waist with metal boots on his feet. But the most distinguishing features of the man were the large markings on his abdomen and chest, and the large sword by his side.

"Call me crazy, but I think we just found our dragon slayer." Tatsuko said.

The group approached slowly, causing the man to turn to them with a sigh. "They just keep coming…."

He gripped his sword as if ready to fight, but Marie walked up with her hands in reassurance. "It's okay, we're not here to attack you. We've come because we need your help."

The man stared at them suspiciously for a moment, before noticing the two Masters. The man then lowered his sword, and nodded. "May I ask your names?"

"I'm Ritsuka Fujimaru, this is Tatsuko Tachibana and Mashu Kyrielight." Ritsuka answered. "The majority of us here are from an organization called Chaldea. And we're here to fix this Singularity."

The man nodded. "It would seem you really are allies."

"That is correct sir." Jeanne replied. "May I ask what your name is?"

The man nodded. "I am Siegfried. A Saber Class Servant."

OC: And so Sumanai makes his grand appearance.

CV: We get the first Dragon Slayer on a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG list.

OC: Oh yeah. And someone who's absolutely broken in lore.

CV: Good timing too, he also just got his new buff in JP.

OC: Oh yeah, I read about that! Oh speaking of JP: Even though I'm an NA player, I'd like to say this…..HAPPY ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY TO LOSTBELT SIX!

CV: Oh my god how has it already been a year?

OC: I don't know, but I definitely can't wait for it to hit NA next year…well….MOST of it anyway…..

CV: Yep, it was a good story but it had some definitely bad parts.

OC: Yeah, I'd rather not talk about those. That just brings back bad memories. Although it wasn't all bad, it's also how I met so many amazing people on Reddit, and especially THIS guy right here (points to Vlad.)

CV: Aw, thanks m8. Yeah, I still remember those days, how we started talking and eventually began plans to write this story.

OC: Yeah, I dare say that if it wasn't for Lostbelt 6, then I wouldn't have met anyone on Reddit, and Chronicles would never exist. Though while there is a different arc that actually gave birth to Chronicles, Lostbelt 6 was what actually made this all possible.

CV: Who would've thought that a simple conversation born from theories over how the following parts of LB6 would go, would end up birthing this story?

OC: I sure as hell didn't. If it wasn't because of that, or my conversations with Mystech Master on Reddit, then I never would've thought of doing this.

CV: You had really great ideas, you just needed that little push to actually start writing them, and I'm glad you found it.

OC: Well I'd be lying if I said you didn't have a hand in it. It's because of you I thought about actually writing them down.

CV: True that. I feel like we might have several chapters already done purely on scenes that you wrote over the course of the many months since we've started talking.

OC: That is also true. Yes people, that's right. Some scenes were written in advance by me months ahead of time because I didn't want to lose them. For example, Artorias summoning? I made that in January of 2022. A couple of weeks before that chapter was released, we got a comment asking if Artoria could be the first Servant summoned. When I learned of that, I said to Vlad "He knows too much!"

Then the scene where Ritsuka would help amputate that soldier's leg. That one was written days before that chapter came out. And then the following scene where they found the dead villagers and buried them was written in….oh god I think in December of 2021 or in January of 2022

. And there's many ...MANY more. In fact I even wrote a chapter or two completely by accident but they won't be shown until much later.

CV: Amazing how much of it came out purely from simply talking, you would write a scene, show it to me and then we would start discussing it, and that alone is probably 20% of Chronicles.

OC: Definitely. Although there is ONE scene I wasn't satisfied with, and you know which one that is.

CV: Ah yes, yeah that one went through a lot lol. But it happens, you won't always be satisfied with what you end up writing.

OC: Yeah, you're right. Not everything is going to be a bed of roses. Wait….if this is 20% of chronicles….what's the other 80% huh?

CV: What we still need to write. You've done a lot of scenes, but there's also a lot of ideas that we've discussed but haven't written anything about.

OC: And that is more proof that I cannot do math for the life of me lol. But in any case, this chapter was definitely an interesting one to write, and it shows that Ritsuka and Tatsuko aren't ignorant about other mythologies thanks to Chaldea. It really shows they're smart kids and that they think with their minds.

CV: They're still green, but have a bright future ahead of them, they just need the right teachers to help them, and they'll get a lot of those in the future.

OC: Yup. But they also have some good teachers already (wink wink nudge nudge)

CV: Like the good doctor himself lol.

OC: On that there is no doubt. Roman might be a goof, but he's definitely someone who can help guide these kids to their goals.

CV: What a good man he is, let's hope he stays with us forever.

OC: Yeah, there's no way a guy like that would die on us. Nope no siree.

CV: Alright, that's enough foreshadowing for one night lol.

OC: More like jinxing.

CV: Same thing lmao.

OC: Lol okay smartass, you win.

CV: In any case, we hope you enjoy this chapter of Chronicles. I think we're halfway done with Orleans? Idk, Owen?

OC: I….actually don't know. But when we reach the end we will definitely let everyone know.

CV: Have a good night everyone, we'll see you all next week. CosmicVlad and Owenchaser out!
