Birthday
April 20th, 2015
Morning came in Chaldea. The sound of an alarm clock roused Ritsuka from his slumber. The male Master turned it off and slowly got up, stifling a yawn.
"I need to shower now before Mashu arrives." He said.
A few minutes after he finished his shower, he got dressed and stretched for a few minutes to wake up the rest of his body. It was in the middle of this that he heard a knock on the door.
"It's open." He said with a smile. The door opened, allowing Fou to run towards the male Master and jump on his shoulder, licking his cheek. Ritsuka chuckled as he scratched the critter's chin until he turned to smile at Mashu. But that smile widened as he saw another person with the Shielder waving at him.
"Morning Tatsuko."
"Morning Twig boy!" Tatsuko replied back.
"So I guess this means we're all ready to get going?" Ritsuka asked.
"Yes, Senpai." Mashu answered. "I decided to get Tatsuko first because I heard she was a heavy sleeper."
"I am not!" Tatsuko exclaimed.
"Tatsuko, I could hear you snoring while we made camp in France." Ritsuka replied. "That pretty much invalidates your argument."
"I don't snore!" Tatsuko countered.
"She is right, Senpai." Mashu replied. "Tatsuko never snored in France."
Ritsuka raised an eyebrow. "Wait, if she wasn't the one snoring…..then who was?"
Silence filled the room as their eyes widened. The Chaldean Trio looked at each other as if they discovered a dark secret. A moment later, in order to bring them back to attention, Ritsuka cleared his throat.
"Let's leave that question for another day." He said.
"Yeah, we have more important things to do." Tatsuko replied.
"I agree." Mashu answered. "It is something that might be best left unanswered."
"Okay, then let's get going." Ritsuka said. The male Master walked out of his room alongside Tatsuko and Mashu, with Fou leaping off of his shoulder to return to the Shielder's side. The Chaldean Trio made their way to their destination while talking about a variety of subjects, such as Saint George being summoned, Ritsuka's lessons with Artoria, and the fact that Marie and Jeanne wanted to dress Fou in cute little outfits, much to the despair of the little critter. It was during this time that Tatsuko remembered something important.
"Oh I almost forgot!" Tatsuko said. "Jonas's birthday is coming up in a few days, so we need to get him a gift."
"Jonas…he's part of Chaldea's security team right?" Ritsuka asked.
Mashu nodded. "Yes, he has been a guard here for two years if I remember correctly."
"Well, then what do you suggest we get for him?" Tatsuko asked.
Mashu put a finger to her chin in deep thought. She never really talked much to Jonas, but she did notice that he tended to enjoy certain foods, drinks and books. An idea popped in her head as she turned to face the two Masters.
"If I remember correctly, he enjoys the Arsene Lupin novels. Though he hasn't read all of them. Maybe we could find a copy he hasn't read from the library?"
"That sounds like a plan." Ritsuka said. "When is his birthday, Tatsuko?"
"April 27th." The female Master answered. Tatsuko gasped and smacked her forehead after realizing something important. "Damn, I can't believe I never asked you guys this, but when are your birthdays?"
The male Master and the lilac haired girl looked at Tatsuko with slight confusion.
This lasted only for a moment as Mashu smiled at the female Master.
"My birthday is on July 25th." She answered.
"How old are you turning?" Tatsuko asked.
"Sixteen." Mashu answered.
Tatsuko raised an eyebrow. "Mashu, what year were you born?"
"1999." Mashu answered.
Tatsuko stopped in her tracks, an act that caused Ritsuka and Mashu to look back at her with confusion.
"Mashu, don't take this the wrong way, but I had the impression you were born in 2000." Tatsuko said.
"Yeah, I did too." Ritsuka said.
"I have had people say that to me quite a bit when my birthday is mentioned." Mashu replied. "Maybe it has to do with how inexperienced I am?"
"That could be it." Ritsuka said. "Hey, are you okay there Tatsuko?"
Tatsuko nodded slowly. "Sorry, I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that Mashu is a few months older than me."
Ritsuka raised an eyebrow and looked at the female Master. "I don't mean to sound rude, but when is your birthday, Tatsuko?"
"I'm turning sixteen on November 3rd." She answered. "I was born in 1999 as well."
"Interesting." Ritsuka muttered.
"Well, I guess that makes you the youngest, Twig boy." Tatsuko said.
"Why do you say that?" Ritsuka asked.
"Well, I'm just making an educated guess based on your mannerisms." Tatsuko replied.
"Actually, I'm a few months older than both of you."
The two girls looked at Ritsuka in surprise. Of all the things for him to say, they weren't expecting that.
"Senpai, when is your birthday?" Mashu asked.
"I was born on April 20th, 1999." He answered.
The two girls widened their eyes at the statement. Today was…
"Dude, are you saying what I think you're saying?" Tatsuko asked.
"Yep, today is my sixteenth birthday."
The two girls stopped in their tracks. The male Master to see what was wrong, only to be met by their shocked faces.
"If today is your birthday…." Tatsuko replied. "Why didn't you say anything?"
"Because I didn't think it was that important?"
"Did you and Doc ever celebrate your birthday at all?"
"Kind of." Ritsuka answered. "But not in the traditional way you guys celebrate yours."
"Then how did you celebrate your birthday, Senpai?" Mashu asked.
"Well you see, everytime my birthday came along, Doc would give me a cupcake, and my favorite flavor to boot."
"That's it?" Tatsuko asked.
"Yeah, after that she would get back to work. And when I was old enough I helped her out with some things." Ritsuka answered.
"For you both to not be able to celebrate such a wonderful occasion….." Mashu muttered. "I cannot help but feel sad."
Ritsuka walked up to the Shielder and placed a hand on her shoulder. "If it makes you feel better, I DID see something nice on my birthday every year."
"What was it?" Mashu asked.
"I got to see Doc smile." Ritsuka answered. "And not some smirk, or a grin. It was an actual smile. Every time I thought to myself that she probably didn't care about me, I always reminded myself of those smiles she would give, and that got rid of those doubts."
The two girls stared at him in silence. For him to say all that with a smile on his face really did prove his relationship with Hannah was complicated. The male Master looked at his watch and nodded.
"We still have a couple of hours before I have to go train with Artoria, so we should probably get moving if we want to hang out."
Mashu looked at Tatsuko with a knowing gaze, something that Tatsuko was familiar with. The two girls nodded and turned to Ritsuka.
"You go on ahead." Tatsuko said. "We'll be right behind you."
Ritsuka nodded, and walked towards their destination alone. The two girls looked at each other to see what they could do. Their thoughts were interrupted by the sound of footsteps coming towards them. They turned their heads to look at the hall's corner, and saw Artoria standing there.
"Before you ask, yes I overheard almost everything." The Saber replied.
"What will you do?" Mashu asked.
"When he comes to the training hall, I will tell him the lesson will be postponed for a little while." She answered. "I will just tell him that something came up, and I need to take care of it alone."
Tatsuko nodded. "Okay, that sounds good."
"And we will leave him when he goes to the training hall, and we will meet with Doctor Roman and Davinci." Mashu said.
The three of them nodded, and walked towards their destinations. They would need time to prepare what they wanted to tell the others.
"So today's his birthday….." Roman muttered. Two hours have passed since Ritsuka's revelation. Mashu, Tatsuko and Artoria, after having postponed her lesson with Ritsuka for the time being, found Roman and Davinci to tell them of their discovery.
Davinci sighed. "Well, this is a real pickle."
"Why's that?" Tatsuko asked.
"Because I want to help, but I don't want Ritsuka to think we're being overbearing, or have him think we're merely taking pity on him." Davinci answered.
"Well I'm going to need your help anyway." Roman replied. "He NEEDS to know what it's like to actually celebrate a birthday once in his life."
Davinci grinned. "~You just read my mind Roman~."
Roman chuckled. "You were being pretty obvious, Davinci."
Tatsuko grinned in amusement towards the acting director and the Caster. She couldn't help but think of how they sounded like an old married couple.
"Okay, so we need to make this birthday the best Ritsuka has ever had." Roman said. "With that in mind…..does anyone know what he likes?"
"He likes mecha anime." Mashu answered.
"Oh right, he introduced you to that." Roman said. The doctor grinned in realization. "Actually, I might have a classic series he might love to watch."
"Which series?"
Roman looked at the Shielder and beckoned for her to come closer. Mashu leaned her ear towards him, and the doctor whispered into her ear. The Shielder's eyes widened and grabbed Roman by the shoulders with a smile on her face.
"Why did you not tell me you had that?!" Mashu asked. "Senpai has never seen that one before, yet he always wanted to watch it, and I did too when I heard about it!"
"Mashu, please calm down." Roman said as she shook him. "I never said anything because I thought he'd already have seen it by now."
"I see no fault in his logic there." Artoria said. "I think it would be a good gift."
"Okay so gift one is settled." Davinci said. "What else does he like? And Mashu can you please stop shaking Roman…..on second thought keep shaking him. I need some amusement."
Mashu did not even respond. She continued to shake Roman as if on autopilot, completely unaware that she was still doing it.
"As for your question Davinci, I have an idea." Artoria replied. "We all know he's an avid reader, but I know there is a certain novel he's been wanting to get his hands on for a while."
"Oh I know the one you're talking about!" Davinci said. "I actually have a few copies of it in my workshop. I'll just give one of those to him."
"Excellent." Artoria said. "Now, what else can we think of?"
"Oh, I talked to him about video games a couple of days ago and he said he was curious about a certain series." Tatsuko said. "And it just so happens that I have two copies of the first game with me."
Roman raised an eyebrow, ignoring the fact that Mashu was still shaking him. "Why would you need two copies?"
"Someone gave me them because he mistook one of them for the sequel." Tatsuko answered. "Though I DO have that one as well….."
Roman simply nodded. It wasn't a bad gift, and since they still had their own television sets, and Chaldea had their own internet connection, it should be a nice little distraction for the male Master so he didn't run himself ragged.
"Okay, what else are we missing?" Tatsuko asked.
"Well there's the cake." Artoria answered back.
"Yeah, there is that." Roman said. "But we have no idea what kind to get him, because we don't know what his favorite flavor is."
"I do." Mashu answered as she finally finished shaking Roman.
Everyone looked at the Shielder in slight confusion.
"Okay, what's his favorite flavor?" Davinci asked.
"Chocolate." Mashu. "I always saw him looking at some chocolate muffins in the cafeteria whenever we entered, and his face always lit up when he saw them."
"How do you know if he was happy to see them?" Roman asked.
Mashu smiled. "I do not know why myself, but I have this feeling in my gut that Senpai has an incredible sweet tooth."
Everyone stared at the Shielder in silence. They couldn't help but be amazed that she was able to know all of that just by looking at his reactions.
"Okay, so now we know what flavor the cake is going to be." Roman said. "So who should bake it?"
"Doctor, if I may make a suggestion?" Mashu asked. Roman nodded, allowing Mashu to lean in and whisper something into his ear. The acting director's eyes widened as the Shielder finished whispering and leaned back.
"Are you sure?" He asked.
Mashu nodded.
"Okay, so we have a plan, but I doubt we're going to be enough to make this plan work." Roman said. "We're going to need more people, but thankfully we know some guys that would be perfect to help out."
"I'll handle that!" Davinci exclaimed.
"Sounds good." Roman turned to Artoria and gave a knowing look. "I know you had to postpone his training today to discuss this with us, but can you have him do some light training to distract him?"
Artoria nodded. "I will have him do only a few practice swings and watch me. We cannot have him exhausted before the surprise."
Roman smiled. "Thanks. Now, we all know our roles and what we're getting him, so let's get started!"
"YES SIR!"
The group then rushed out of the room to get to their individual destinations. In order for all of this to work, they needed to act, and quickly before the day passed.
After the discussion, Artoria brought Ritsuka back to the training room. To make sure that the plan went off without any problems, the Saber made sure to keep Ritsuka busy until she got the all clear to end the lesson. Four hours later, she received the message from Davinci, and ended the day's training. The two of them walked out from the training hall, and towards the cafeteria.
"Say Artoria, why did you need to postpone our class today?" Ritsuka asked.
Artoria pondered at what to tell him, causing the male Master to raise an eyebrow in suspicion. "Artoria?"
"I apologize, I just didn't want you to worry…."
"About what?"
Artoria sighed. "Liz and Carmilla were starting to argue, and Jeanne needed my help to make sure it didn't become violent."
Ritsuka started to sigh as well. "That's the second time in three days….."
The Saber grinned while he wasn't looking at her. It wasn't a difficult lie to come up with, considering how much the Lancer and Assassin were always at each other's throats. The two of them continued talking for a few minutes regarding what happened, and how it ended. Not a moment later, the lights went out, causing Ritsuka to panic a little.
"Did we actually run out of power?" Ritsuka asked.
"I don't know." Artoria answered. "But in the event we're under attack, I'll get you to the cafeteria for your safety."
"Can you even see in the dark?"
Artoria smirked. "I can find my way there with my eyes closed."
"That's fair."
Artoria gently took the male Master's arm and led him towards the cafeteria. A few minutes later, they reached their destination, and Ritsuka heard Artoria open the doors to the room. He raised an eyebrow at that action. Why were the doors closed in the first place?
He continued to ask that question to himself as Artoria led him to the center of the room. His question was soon answered as the lights turned on, allowing him to see the big banner hanging on the wall saying "Happy Birthday!"
His eyes widened as he saw everyone jump out from the kitchens and tables.
"SURPRISE!"
Ritsuka stared at everyone in complete silence. He couldn't believe what was happening, and it was written all over his face.
"What's going on?" He asked in disbelief.
"A couple of little birds told me about how you handled your birthdays before coming here." Roman said. "After listening to their tale, I decided that you should at least experience what it's like to actually celebrate it at least once."
Ritsuka turned to face Artoria, then to Tatsuko and Mashu. He saw their knowing smiles, and it immediately hit him.
"You three helped plan this?"
"Don't forget about me!" Davinci exclaimed. "I got everyone else together to make it all possible."
Ritsuka looked around the room and saw all the Servants smiling at him. Well, almost all of them. He could see Carmilla's and Medea's annoyed expressions, and it made him curious.
"Are you two okay?"
"I will be fine." Carmilla answered calmly. "I just wished you had mentioned your birthday a couple of days ago. I could have helped with preparations much sooner than this."
"I'm sorry Carmilla, I didn't think anyone would have done this for me…."
"And that is why I didn't really want to be here." Medea replied. "You told Mashu and Tatsuko that you were fine with not celebrating it, so I fail to see why we should in the first place."
Kiyohime glared at the Caster. "Then does that mean you DO NOT want that-"
"Do not finish that sentence!" Medea shouted.
"Oh knock it off you two!" Mata Hari shouted. "Medea, you can at least TRY to be nicer to Ritsuka at least once, can you? If so, then be nice to him on his birthday!"
"Yeah, we all worked very hard on this." Liz chimed. "So you and Kiyohime can stop arguing and not ruin it for everyone else."
"Okay everyone, simmer down now." Roman said. "This is supposed to be a party, not a place to argue."
Medea sighed and relented. Everyone turned their attention to Ritsuka and saw the look on his face. He still couldn't believe what he was seeing.
"Did….did everyone really do all this for me?"
"Yes." Mashu answered. "We just wanted you to have a nice birthday."
Ritsuka became speechless. The male Master looked at everyone once more, and then to the banner. They did all of this for him….
A small smile crept on his face. He then looked at everyone once more. "Thanks everyone."
"Okay then, let's start with our presents guys!" Tatsuko exclaimed.
"Wait, everyone has a present for me?" Ritsuka asked. "How did you all manage that?"
"Sumanai, but not everyone was able to…." Siegfried muttered. "Only those who planned the whole thing managed to get you the gifts."
"And we also decided who would be the first one to give you their gift through rock-paper-scissors." Roman said.
"Who won?" Ritsuka asked.
"~I did~!" Davinci chimed. The Caster walked up to the teen, and smiled as she presented her gift. The male Master took it and carefully unwrapped it. His eyes widened in surprise as he stared at the book in his hands. He smiled and turned to the Caster.
"Where did you get this?"
Davinci giggled. "I had a couple of copies lying around."
"Thanks Davinci."
"You're welcome, Ritsuka."
Tatsuko cleared her throat. "Hey now, don't forget about me. I'm next after all."
The female Master walked up to Ritsuka with pride. She handed him her gift and watched him open it just as carefully as Davinci's. The moment he was finished, his eyes widened further and stared at Tatsuko.
"You're giving me your copy of Dark Souls?"
Tatsuko chuckled. "I actually had two copies already. Don't ask why."
"I won't." Ritsuka replied. "Thanks Tatsuko, I can't believe you remembered…oh…."
Tatsuko saw his gloomy face and put a hand on his shoulder. "You okay buddy?"
"Yeah, I'm happy that you would give me this….but I don't have a PC in my room to actually use it…."
Tatsuko smiled. "It's okay, I'm sure it'll work out."
Artoria cleared her throat and grinned. "I believe I'm next."
The Saber walked up to the two Masters with an even bigger gift. Ritsuka opened it and did a double take at the contents.
"How did you manage to get me a PC?" Ritsuka asked.
Artoria gave a small blush. "Well you see, I found this lying around in Davinci's workshop a week ago, and decided to take it because I was intrigued by what it was. I had no idea what I had until Tatsuko saw it a couple of days ago, and told me what it was for."
"But how did you get the time to wrap it and bring it here?"
"Oh, I did the wrapping by myself and brought it here before I came to get you so I could distract you."
Ritsuka smiled at her. "Thanks Artoria."
"You're very welcome, Ritsuka." Artoria answered back. "Although….. I have a request."
"Name it."
Artoria put a hand on the boy's shoulder. "I understand that this game has multiple roles, and that there's a knight class. I ask that you begin this game with that one first."
Ritsuka chuckled. "Sounds fair. I mean my teacher IS the King of Knights afterall."
"Glad to hear you say that." Artoria said.
Roman cleared his throat. "Okay, I'm next."
The three girls cleared the way so Roman could walk towards Ritsuka, and hand him his gift. The male Master slowly unwrapped it. His eyes bugged out as he saw the contents inside.
"Roman, you've had something like this the whole time?!"
The doctor chuckled shyly and rubbed the back of his head. "Yeah, Mashu said the same thing….almost."
Ritsuka turned to Mashu with curiosity. "Speaking of, what's your gift Mashu?"
"Excuse me, but I think we should have the cake now." Emiya said. "Can I have some help in getting it out here?"
Mata Hari, Medusa and Kiyohime came into the kitchen to help the Archer in carrying out the cake. When it came out it was clear as to the reason why.
The cake was absolutely huge. It was a simple cake in design, but the size of it meant that it could feed the entire room for the next couple of days. Ritsuka simply stood there as they sang happy birthday to him, and brought the cake down to him. The male Master blew out the sixteen candles, allowing Emiya to cut the cake and give him the first slice. When Ritsuka took a bite, his eyes widened in shock. He never tasted anything this delicious before in his life!
He looked at everyone's faces, and he could tell they would agree with him. Mashu, on the other hand, did not take a bite yet. Instead she looked at Ritsuka with a smile.
"Do you like the cake, Senpai?"
Ritsuka nodded. "It's delicious! Whoever made this should be proud of their work."
"I am glad to hear it, Senpai."
"Seriously, I could eat this person's cooking for the rest of my life." Ritsuka said.
"For once, I agree with the boy." Medea said. "Who made this wonderful cake anyway?"
"I did."
The room went silent. They all turned to Mashu slowly with widened eyes. The Shielder took a deep breath and smiled.
"This is my gift to you, Senpai."
"Holy shit…." Tatsuko muttered. "Mashu, you have a talent right here!"
"I'll say." Roman said as he ate the cake. "I'm so glad I let her make this."
Tatsuko turned to the acting director in shock. "Wait, so THIS is what she whispered to you?!"
"Yep!"
"Well let's not forget I watched her to make sure she didn't get hurt." Emiya replied. "And to make sure she could have help if she needed it."
"Thanks for that Emiya." Roman replied. "I still can't believe she made all this!"
Emiya chuckled. "Well, that's not the only thing she made."
The group stared at the Archer in confusion. She made more?!
Mashu cleared her throat as Fou jumped off her shoulder and walked beside her as she made her way to Ritsuka. She stopped when she was a foot away, and brought her hands from behind her back.
"Happy Birthday Senpai."
Ritsuka's eyes widened as he saw what the Shielder held out in front of him.
In her hands was a simple chocolate cupcake.
Everyone watched as Ritsuka trembled. The male Master put his plate down, and gently took the cupcake from Mashu's hands, as if he was trying to burn its image into his mind. He took a deep breath, and gave a warm smile to Mashu.
"Thank you Mashu." He said. "I have no words to describe how grateful I am for this one."
Mashu shook her head. "No words are necessary, Senpai."
The two of them stared at each other for a few moments, forgetting the others in the room. Mata Hari turned to Marie and leaned in close to her ear.
"I think I can speak for everyone here and say Mashu will definitely make a great wife to someone one day." She whispered.
Marie giggled. "She's definitely going to be."
After a few moments, the party resumed, and Ritsuka could not have been happier.
OC: Okay, I'm going to come out and say it. This has to be one of the sweetest and most heartwarming chapters we have ever written for this series.
CV: True, Ritsuka finally found out what happens that one special day every year.
OC: Yeah, and the fact that he didn't know how to react at first really made it feel all the more impactful. Although he's not the only one who didn't know how to react to something good happening to them.
CV: Oh, are we letting them know?
OC: I think we should. To our fellow readers, I think it is time you should know something about me. You see, I have had conductive hearing loss in my left ear since at least kindergarten. I have had a total of eight ear surgeries in my life. One on my right ear, and seven on my left. And every single time, the ones on my left ear failed. It is now to the point that I only have ONE ear bone left in my left ear, instead of three. But the seventh was different. You see, the week after the first chapter Chronicles was published, I went in for my eighth ear surgery, and it was supposed to, or at least hopefully, solve the issue once and for all. Well when I woke up, I was told that the surgery did not do that exactly. My eardrum was fixed, but they could not fix my hearing due to all the scar tissue inside my ear. So the surgery had to be cut short and we would finish the rest of it with another ear surgery. Out of all the ones that we heard, we weren't so bummed out because they said that it was just incomplete, not an actual failure. But I would have to wait months until they could finish the job. In fact, the second chapter of Chronicles was written, and published a mere three or four DAYS after that surgery. Despite the pain I was in, I lied down on a recliner, and helped Vlad make that chapter.
Flash forward to September 1st, and I had an appointment with the doctor, and I would need a hearing test and an MRI to see when I could have the next surgery. I get done with the test, and I am led towards the ct scan where the doctor would see me. I wait a few minutes and try not to fall asleep (it was very early in the morning), and then he comes in, looks me in the eye, and says that the cat scan won't be needed…..because the hearing in my left ear was now normal.
The moment he said that, I asked him if I heard him correctly, and he said yes. He took a look at how that was possible, and it was revealed that during the recovery process, a tiny piece of cartilage attached itself to the last ear bone I had left, and is now acting as a substitute for my missing ear bones. As long as it is attached, I can hear normally in my left ear. So for the first time in years, I can finally hear normally again, and I had no idea how to react to that news. So you can all be sure that this chapter will now have a special place in my heart, not only because of it coinciding with that, but also because I know exactly how Ritsuka must have felt when everyone threw him that surprise party.
CV: You should've rested if you felt so much pain, we could've just delayed the chapter. But still, I'm happy that everything worked out for you.
OC: The pain wasn't that bad, it felt more like a small ache that could be ignored. But thanks for the kind words. Now let's get on with the rundown of this chapter before I cry lol. So for the longest time, we had NO idea what day Ritsuka's birthday should be. All that we knew was that we had to have it in April, but no set day. So a couple of weeks ago I told Vlad "Hey let's have it be on the 20th so it can be near the end of the month", and that's when it was finalized. But that's not the only thing, say Vlad, is there a certain birthdate that you think will raise eyebrows?
CV: Maybe, do you think they can find out about it?
OC: Maybe, but I think we should actually address it before we have people say we got it wrong by accident. Ladies and Gentlemen, you all might notice that Mashu's birthdate says July 25th, 1999, and not July 25th, 2000. Well there were a couple of reasons for that, but two of them will be revealed now. I remember last year hearing that Type Moon listed her birthdate being in 1999, which was against what we all learned. But I decided that we should do that for Chronicles, and another reason for that was because I thought it would be hilarious if she was actually older than one of the main characters, AKA Tatsuko lol. There's another reason for this, but that is something that will be made apparent later down the line. Just know that in Chronicles, her birthdate is different than it is in canon.
CV: Makes a lot of sense to me, and it's going to be funny that Mashu can make smol jokes to Tatsuko.
OC: Lmao, yeah there's that. And it's even more hilarious that the YOUNGEST of the Chaldean Trio is the most socially adept of them, and not the oldest.
CV: Well, those traits are definitely going to help Tatsuko deal with the next obstacle on Chronicles, which… What was it again?
OC: Not sure myself. It might not be important.
CV: You're right, besides it's not like it's anything important. Anyways, stay tuned for the next week where we…
Bu…..
OC: Hey, did you hear that?
CV: Huh? Hear what?
Nooooo
OC: There it is again! Are you not hearing that?
CV: Sounds like a ghost. Did we forget to exorcize the studio before we left last week?
OC: No we definitely did that. This is something different…wait…..
Noooobuuuuuu
(Ground shakes)
OC: Oh no…..They're here!
CV: Who's here? Sounds like tiny footsteps.
OC: Vlad, don't you know what next week is?!
CV: Huh? It's September 9th, and it's… OH GOD, IT'S THEM!?
(Both turn to their left, and scream)
OC: Brace yourselves!
BOTH: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
(OC and Vlad continue to scream as an army of Mini Nobus crashes into them like a tsunami, and drags them off the stage. One Mini Nobu looks at the viewers)
Mini Nobu: Nobu nobu. No Nobu. Nobu Nobu No Nobu. Nobu Nobu!
(Special Translation: Please stay tuned next week as we delve into one of the most hilarious events of the Grand Order Saga. GUDAGUDA 1: Honnoji!)
