Power Ranger Legacy Chapter 1 Rowen6

Izuku was coming home from another long day of school and another round of bullying from Katsuki Bakugo and his lackeys. His School uniform was torn and heavily singed and his body was littered with fresh Burns but despite this, he had a smile on his face. You're probably wondering why would he have a smile on his face after such a day. That was because today One of his friends made a breakthrough on the project that he and two other people were working on. You are probably wondering who these other two people are, one of them he met two years ago on a forum online. Her username at the time was power-protect-me101. There was a post that tried to debunk the existence of Power Rangers which both of them took offense to and ended up teaming up on the poor fellow who posted it. After that brutal takedown in the chat room, they started chatting about other things and ended up becoming Fast Friends. 3 months later of messaging back and forth he finally found out that she was Melissa Shield, the daughter of David Shield, and they only got closer after that. Who knew that two quirkless geniuses would get along so well?

Then nearly a year later an event that baffles scientists today happened. It was during the late hours of the night for Izuku so he missed it. But apparently, some type of exotic energy wave hit Earth's atmosphere and created an effect that is similar to the Northern Lights of Alaska. It only lasted a total of 7 minutes before dissipating. Recordings of it Circle the internet for weeks and got scientists talking about it. But during that time somebody made a post in the same forums that him and Melissa met in. It was by an unknown user and it was a single-question

"Do you think it's the aftermath of the destruction of Terra Venture finally reaching us? "

That single question led izuku, Melissa, and this unknown user down a rabbit hole full of twists and turns leading to today's breakthrough. Izuku entered his apartment quickly and went straight to his room. After taking care of his burns he immediately sat down at his computer and entered the chat room that the group set up for their meetings.

Shield Residence Dinner Table

David was not an idiot he knew what his daughter was working on. But that was not what worried him. It was who she was working with and it was a boy around her age too. They've been talking together for over 2 years now and he could see the effects that he was having on his daughter. She was happier, more energetic, and could not wait to get back onto a computer and talk with him. He met the boy a couple of times when they were talking on a video call and he eavesdropped on them more than he cared to admit. He had nothing against the boy, in fact, he liked the boy, he was kind, caring, and a proper gentleman. The thing he is worried about is his dreams of being a quirkless hero.

He knows the dangers of being a hero, after all, he was the former sidekick of all Might. He could tell the boy trained a lot and is extremely smart, the fact that he can keep up with his daughter proves that. What scared him was the fact that he was reigniting the old flame that he thought died out within Melissa. Ever since she learned what a hero was she wanted to be one. But when she found out she was quirkless she was shattered. It took her years to get over her quirkless status but even then her dream to be a hero was just as strong. But as she got older that dream diminished until that bright Flame became nothing but Amber's and her dream swapped to building support items for Heroes instead. But when she met this boy and found out his dream he could tell it reignited her old one. He even caught her building support items for herself and for the boy. He knew if anyone could be a quirkless hero it would be his daughter but he could not help but worry.

Perhaps he could talk to the boy's mom again, she must be feeling the same thing. Even though she is extremely supportive of her son's dream she is also extremely wise. After he figured out his daughter was talking to a boy he wanted to meet him and his mother, but just like his daughter and izuku he and his mother hit it off. They don't talk as often as their children do but inko became a good friend of his.

Then out of nowhere, an idea popped into his head. "Hey Melissa, " David said which caught his daughter's attention

"Yeah, Dad what is it, " Melissa said after she finished chewing her food.

"I was wondering if you want to go with me to see your Uncle All Might for a couple of weeks, who knows you might be able to visit your friend," David said.

Melissa Beamed at him, "Really you'll let me see Zuzu."

"Oh it's Zuzu now is it, " David said in a teasing tone.

Which made Melissa blush into a sputtering mess, seeing this only served to make David chuckle.

"Dad!" Melissa said indignantly after she got herself under control.

"All right, all right, I'll stop teasing you about your boyfriend."

This just made Melissa blush harder and made David laugh harder. Melissa left the dinner table in an attempt to both hide her embarrassment and to prevent more teasing. After Melissa shut the door to her room she attempted to get her blush under control. It took her a few minutes to do so but when she did she went to her computer and sat down. After logging into her computer she quickly sees Izuku already in the voice chat and she quickly joins it without a moment's hesitation.

"Hi Zuzu," Melissa says cheerily

"Hi, Melissa," Izuku says trying to hide the pain in his voice which Melissa caught onto immediately,

"Zuzu did that bastard hurt you again?"

Izuku *sighs* he knew Melissa caught him, and knew that Melissa could tell if he was lying or not. He swears if she didn't tell him that she was quirkless, he would have thought her Quirk was a type of lie detector Quirk. But knowing her background in engineering and support items maybe she created some type of lie-detector program or maybe-." Izuku was cut off from his mumbling when Melissa spoke up

"Zuzu I do not have a lie-detector program, you are just a very bad liar," she said giggling.

this only caused izuku to sputter out in embarrassment. but before Melissa can get her laughter under control there other friend joins the call. This person is the most mysterious out of the three. Heck, they still don't even know her name. She only goes by Unknown-User or UN for short, and add that to the fact that she was the one who sent them down this rabbit hole in the first place. She also can dig up any information on Power Rangers that no one else could. This made her a puzzle that Melissa and izuku had been trying to solve for over a year now. The only facts that they could find out so far were that she was female, older than them, and was extremely good at math and theoretical physics which made the people at I-Island look like idiots. But the most mysterious thing about is the questionnaires that she kept sending them.

Some were psychological tests and others tested our knowledge about the Power Rangers. The only thing she would say about the tests was that she was trying to use these tests to see if she could narrow down a list for the next generation of Heroes. And the Power Rangers were a good example of Heroes to be used as a measuring stick. It also did not hurt when we completed these tests, she would give us information on Power Rangers that they didn't know about that was backed by solid evidence. It was like she had some type of Data Vault that was full to the brim of nothing but Power Ranger information. They both thought that maybe she must be an ancestor of one of the original Power Rangers and the information she had was passed through the generations of her family. But one thing is for sure every day they only get more questions about her and very few answers in return.

" Hello Oh-No-I-Forgot-My-Morpher (izuku) and Power-protect-me101 (Melissa) how are you both doing today?" UN says as she calls them by their handles.

izuku hearing UN's voice quickly snaps out of his spluttering embarrassment and quickly responds to her.

" I'm good UN, you said you made a breakthrough. Were you able to dig up some type of information that might prove any of our theories?" Izuku says with excitement that Melissa could easily feel from him just by his voice alone.

"Yes, I made a breakthrough but before I reveal it I'm going to need parental permission because the information is Quite... Gruesome to say the least. So if you both don't mind bringing your parents inside your room so I can hear their response."

This got Melissa curious now. " How gruesome are we talking about here if you do not mind me asking?" Melissa asked with curiosity lacing her tone.

"let's just say a lot of people died when that explosion went off and the evidence I have is quite... thorough, " UN says cautiously

Melissa and izuku caught on quickly to what she meant. The contents that she has is most likely very graphic in nature and she is simply trying to be a responsible adult with such information. they were both annoyed and grateful for this. Grateful because she was trying to be responsible and not scar them for life. Annoyed now because they have to get their parents involved.

"If you hurry I will add one of the most-kept secrets of the Power Rangers to the list of information I'll be revealing, " UN says as she giggles when she hears them quickly get up from their chairs and run to their parents, all for the simple promise of learning something new about the Power Rangers.

These two remind her so much of her old friends. They are so full of life and are constantly seeking knowledge for the simple fact of just knowing something. Add a touch of being a huge fan of Power Rangers, just makes her enjoy every interaction with them. But before she could finish her musings izuku and Melissa entered the room with their parents. As all four of them entered their respective rooms Melissa and izuku turned up their mics and audio so both sides could hear and talk to each other.

After Izuku had taken his seat inko decided to start with this, meeting, of sorts. "now, UN was it. You asked us here to give our children permission so you can give some information to them about the project they're working on. " Inko said trying to hide her suspicions, she did not know who this person was. Unlike Melissa and her father who she knew very well. The only thing she knew about this person was what her son would tell her, which was very little.

"First things first both of you turn on your cameras. I do not put it past you to make some type of program to emulate your parents, especially with Power-protect-me101 (Melissa) background and Oh-No-I-Forgot-My-Morpher (izuku) smarts to think up such a plan on the spot." This just made David laugh hard and inko giggle.

"She's got are children pegged pretty well am I right inko. " David says between laughs

"Indeed she does. " Inko says still giggling.

"MOM/DAD!" Melissa and izuku yell out in embarrassment simultaneously

UN giggles at the interaction, but quickly stops. " I know my request can seem as a breach of privacy but the information that I found is not PG so to speak, and as an adult myself I am simply trying to make sure it is all right. "

Inko like this woman, she seemed very responsible and most likely kept these two out of trouble from the sounds of it. But this made her curious. "May I ask what this information entails I know very little about the project that my son and David's daughter are working on. "

David chimes in before UN can. " I think they were investigating the energy wave that hit Earth a year ago. Melissa said it might have been the aftermath of the destruction of Terra Venture and this project was an attempt to prove it. "

" Yes, David is correct. But the information I have is mostly math and statistics along with some reports. But if you know anything about Terra Venture one of them would be that a lot of people were on it, and some of these reports go into a lot of detail." UN says seriously

"wait are you telling me you found official reports on the destruction of Terra Venture" Melissa yelled out in excitement.

"Maybe I did, or maybe I didn't. But it's up to your parents to decide if you get that information after I confirm it's your parents of course." UN says in a teasing tone

it was decided that inko liked this woman. Inko was always a good judge of character and was rarely wrong about somebody. So with a *sigh,* she permitted izuku to turn on the camera "Okay I give my son permission to see this information but I want to see it first" Inko said with David agreeing to the terms

"Good, but before I give this information I think I promised your children to tell them a secret about Power Rangers that has been kept from people for Generations. But I think we need to do this face-to-face first." After those words left UN's mouth David, Melissa, izuku, and inko were engulfed in a flash of light.
