Guda Guda: Honnoji Chapter 2
Demon King
A few minutes passed since their encounter with the Mini-Nobus, and the Chaldean Trio decided now was the time to tell Sakura Saber and Demon Archer who they were, and what Chaldea stood for.
"So that's what's happening." Demon Archer said. "Sounds like you guys have quite the journey ahead of you."
Mashu nodded. "Yes, but that does not mean we will turn a blind eye to Singularities like this."
"How come?" Sakura Saber asked. "If it's not a major threat, then why bother?"
"There are a multitude of reasons." Roman answered. "The first one is that if left unchecked, then it could become a major problem later down the line, so it's best to nip it in the bud. The second reason is supplies. If Chaldea doesn't solve the Singularities at a certain point, then our supplies will dwindle to nothing. Thankfully these Singularities should have lots of potential supplies for us to take back with us, so that mitigates that issue. And third, this is a good learning experience for these three. They're new to all of this, so any experience they gain would be instrumental for them."
"Okay that makes a lot of sense." Demon Archer replied. "In any case, let's move on to something else before I get bored!"
Tatsuko giggled. "Sure thing, what would you guys like to know?"
"How about what makes you guys….well, you." Sakura Saber suggested.
The Chaldean Trio went pale, something that Demon Archer noticed. It was clear they weren't comfortable with that just yet, and if they didn't want to share, then it wasn't her place to ask.
"How about we talk about your likes and dislikes instead." She suggested. "Take me for example, I love fighting uphill battles, and I dislike predictable plans."
"Okay, that last one is pretty weird." Tatsuko muttered.
Demon Archer ignored the comment and pointed at Sakura Saber. "You're next!"
"I'd rather keep that a secret for now, Demon Archer." The Saber replied. "I hope you understand."
"Oh right, yeah sorry that was a dumb move on my part." Demon Archer pointed to Ritsuka. "Okay, you're up!"
"Okay, well I like mecha anime for one thing." Ritsuka said. "I guess another like of mine is studying medicine."
Sakura Saber's head perked up. Demon Archer chuckled at the image and looked back at the male Master.
"Okay what are your dislikes?" She asked.
"I swear if you say mapo tofu." Tatsuko muttered.
"I'm saying it anyway." Ritsuka said. "I hate mapo tofu."
"Well that's a weird one, but hey I'm not judging." Demon Archer said. She then pointed to Mashu with a grin. "Mashu, right? Care to share what you like?"
"What I like?" Mashu asked. The Shielder thought for a moment and smiled. "I like the color of the sky, the smell of the earth, stuff like that."
No one was shocked by that response. To Ritsuka and Tatsuko, it was something that they knew Mashu would say. To Demon Archer and Sakura Saber, it just proved to them that Mashu still had room to grow.
"Okay, how about a dislike?" Sakura Saber asked.
"What I dislike…" Mashu muttered. "There is nothing at the moment that I would single out in that regard."
"Okay that's fair." Demon Archer said. "Okay. Tatsuko, right? How about you?"
"Okay for what I like, I'm the opposite of Twig Boy in that I love kaiju."
"Hey, that's not a bad genre." Ritsuka said. "Though I haven't really watched much of them…."
"We can fix that later." Tatsuko said. "Oh, I also love video games."
"And what do you dislike?"
"Spiders." Tatsuko answered. "They're just so creepy!"
"Is there anything else?" Sakura Saber asked.
"Nothing that I'm comfortable with sharing."
"If that's the case, then we shouldn't pry." Demon Archer said. The black haired girl turned to the communicator and grinned at Roman. "Okay, you're up!"
Roman gulped. "Well I like Magi Mari…."
"Okay, name something aside from that." Tatsuko said.
Roman stared at them blankly. "Ummmmmm…..Sorry, I can't come up with anything."
"Seriously?!" Tatsuko shouted. "How can you not think of anything else?"
"I don't know!" Roman shouted back. "This is a very difficult question, so I didn't expect the Spanish Inquisition!"
Ritsuka's eyes widened as a smile formed on his face. "But Roman, nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!"
An open smile formed on Roman's lips. "Right, their chief weapons were fear, surprise, ruthless efficiency….."
"And an almost fanatical devotion to the pope!" Ritsuka continued.
(OC: And don't forget nice red uniforms!)
Roman and Ritsuka laughed in unison.
"How did you get into Monty Python?!" Roman asked.
"It was one of Doc's favorite shows." Ritsuka answered. "It was one of the few things we would watch religiously whenever we had downtime."
"Well, she has excellent taste in comedy." Roman said.
"I'm sorry, but who are we talking about here?" Tatsuko asked.
Ritsuka stopped in his tracks and stared blankly at the female Master. "What did you just ask us?"
"I'm asking who the hell is Monty Python." Tatsuko answered.
Everyone looked at Ritsuka, and saw his eye twitch. "You can't be serious…You never heard of them?!"
Tatsuko gulped. "No….?"
"Hey, I haven't heard of them either." Demon Archer said.
"Same here." Sakura Saber answered.
"I have not as well." Mashu said.
Ritsuka looked at all of them, and took a deep breath. He then pointed at Demon Archer and Sakura Saber.
"Okay, you two not hearing about them I can understand." He said before pointing to Mashu. "You get a pass too Mashu, given that Roman probably never let you watch it."
Ritsuka turned to Tatsuko and pointed at her with utmost accusation. "But YOU? The person who makes pop culture references almost every day?"
Ritsuka quickly rushed over to Tatsuko and pinched her cheeks. "THEIR BRAND OF HUMOR IS RIGHT UP YOUR ALLEY! HOW COULD YOU NOT HAVE HEARD OF ONE OF THE BEST COMEDIC GROUPS OF ALL TIME?!"
"I'm Schowwwyyyy!" Tatsuko shouted. "Now pweashe shtop pinching my cheeksshhh!"
Ritsuka looked at her face, and sighed sharply before letting her go.
"Okay, I know what you and I are doing when we get back." He said. "Roman, do we have any Monty Python shows or movies in Chaldea?"
"Yes actually. We have their entire works." Roman answered.
"That's awfully convenient!" Tatsuko shouted.
"Good thing too." Ritsuka said. "Because we're going to watch some of it just so you know what it's like."
"Okay okay, but in exchange you have to watch Godzilla." Tatsuko said. "And I mean ALL of them."
Ritsuka looked at her for a moment, then nodded. "Okay that's a pretty good trade."
Sakura Saber and Demon Archer facepalmed at the interaction. If these two were the ones meant to save the world….
"These guys are weird." Demon Archer said.
(CV: Pot calling the kettle black over here)
"Ahem!" Davinci said as she pushed Roman out of the way. "If you're all done goofing off, you're almost out of the woods and there's a town not far from your location. Try to get some information from the locals and ask if they saw any strange visitors lately."
"Hate to break it to you, but considering all the Mini-Nobus running around that's not going to narrow it down for them." Tatsuko replied.
Davinci sighed. "Point taken. But still try to get as much information about the situation from them as you can."
"Sounds like a plan." Ritsuka stated.
The others nodded and walked towards the end of the woods to find the town, following Davinci's directions the entire time.
A few minutes passed since they entered the town. In order to gain as much information as possible, the group agreed to split up. Demon Archer would go with Tatsuko, while Ritsuka and Mashu would go with Sakura Saber. Ever since they split, Demon Archer and the female Master managed to learn quite a bit of information from the townsfolk. Apparently a woman with light purple hair and a revealing outfit walked into town not long ago with a large man.
The male didn't seem to be familiar but hearing about the purple haired girl did relieve Tatsuko quite a bit. With that piece of information, they decided to find the others to see what they learned.
"Okay so we know that Medusa walked past here with some strange man." Tatsuko muttered. "Why am I getting major red flags from that?"
"Eh, she's probably fine." Demon Archer said. "From what the guy said she was more or less acting like a translator."
"Fair enough."
"Hey I get she's your friend and all, but have a little faith." Demon Archer said. "She's going to be fine."
Tatsuko nodded. "You're right. Now let's see where the others are."
"Hold that thought." Demon Archer said. "There's something I'd like to get."
"Do you need any money?"
Demon Archer shook her head. "No, I have that already covered."
"Okay then, mind if I tag along?" Tatsuko asked.
"Sure thing! Maybe you could find something for yourself as well!"
Tatsuko giggled. "Sounds like a plan."
The two of them walked over to the stall that Demon Archer pointed towards and began looking at the wares. The stall apparently sold mostly jewelry and trinkets, but nothing really caught Tatsuko's eye. She turned to Demon Archer, only to raise an eyebrow as she saw the Archer smiling at the object she was holding.
In her hands was a simple bracelet.
"Who's that for?" Tatsuko asked.
Demon Archer looked at her with a calm expression. "It's for Sakura Saber."
"Really?"
Demon Archer nodded. "We might argue from time to time….okay we argue a lot, but I really appreciate our friendship, and I want to give her something to thank her for sticking by me for this long…."
Tatsuko smiled. "Well that's a very nice thought. I'm pretty sure she'll like it."
Demon Archer smiled back. "Thanks."
The black haired girl turned to the shopkeep and purchased the gift before returning her attention to the female Master. "Okay let's go find the others."
"Yeah, I'm pretty sure they'd be looking for us now.".
The two of them returned to where they last saw their companions, only to not see them at the designated meeting spot. The two girls decided to wait a while for their companions. Ten minutes passed until they saw Ritsuka, Mashu and Sakura Saber walk towards them.
"Did you learn anything?" Tatsuko asked.
"Unfortunately, no." Ritsuka "A lot of the townsfolk here didn't see anyone out of the ordinary."
"Really?" Demon Archer asked. "No one at all?"
"Yes. We asked everyone we could find, and each one has said that they never saw anything strange going on here." Mashu answered.
"Huh, well we learned quite a bit." Tatsuko said. "And it just so happens that someone probably spotted Medusa a while ago."
Ritsuka's and Mashu's eyes widened.
"Where did she go?" Ritsuka asked.
"She went through the west gate." Demon Archer answered.
"Then that's where we're headed." Sakura Saber answered.
"Yeah but I'd like to see if we can get anything else from these guys." Tatsuko said. She then looked around and gasped. "Oh there's someone we haven't asked yet!"
Everyone looked to who she was pointing at and gasped. The female Master was pointing directly at a swordsmith. This man should have SOME information to give them.
"Okay Twig Boy, go ask him." Tatsuko said.
"Why me?"
"Why not?" Sakura Saber asked. "Mashu and I asked all the questions for everyone else."
Ritsuka chuckled weakly. "I'm not really good at asking the right questions…"
"We'll give it a shot at least." Tatsuko said.
"Yes, please Senpai?" Mashu asked. "It would be nice to hear you speak in your native language."
Ritsuka looked at Sakura Saber and gulped. The male then turned his attention to the others and sighed. "Okay…..here it goes."
The male Master walked up to the blacksmith and cleared his throat. He then spoke to him, and asked a few questions. Everyone raised an eyebrow, including the smithy himself as the male Master spoke. After he was done, the smithy spoke to the boy, causing the male Master to nod and thank him for his time. The moment he returned, Ritsuka stared at the group, and raised an eyebrow at their strange looks.
"Is there something on my face?" Ritsuka asked.
"No, but there IS something we noticed." Tatsuko said. "When you spoke to the guy your accent sounded pretty fake."
Ritsuka chuckled weakly. "I have no idea what you're talking about."
"Really?" Demon Archer said. "Because to us it really sounded off."
"To me it was as if you were doing that on purpose." Sakura Saber said.
"It must be your imagination." Ritsuka countered. "Now how about I share what I learned from the smithy."
"Good idea." Mashu said. "What did he tell you?"
"Well he said that a few people came by here, and that they're not far from here."
"Do you think it could be our friends?" Tatsuko asked.
Ritsuka shook his head. "No, the descriptions he gave point to being different people."
"Then how is that useful?" Sakura Saber asked.
"Well he gave me some interesting names that will make you all interested." Ritsuka answered. "Have any of you ever heard of someone called Imagawa Yoshitsune?"
Everyone raised an eyebrow at the question.
"I can't say that I have." Sakura Saber said.
"Same here." Demon Archer said.
"Wait, Yoshitsune…..You mean like Minamoto Yoshitsune?" Tatsuko asked.
"Thought that would get your attention." Ritsuka said.
"But why would that be strange?" Mashu asked.
"Because the smithy said that this person is trying to reach Kyoto to become Shogun." Ritsuka answered. "So I asked him where we are, and he gave me quite the answer."
"Where are we then?" Sakura Saber asked.
Ritsuka took a deep breath. "We're in Degakuhazama, Okehazama."
"So?" Tatsuko asked. "What does this….wait a minute, what year are we in?"
"1560." Ritsuka answered.
Everyone went silent. Now they knew where and when this Singularity was taking place…
"We're in the Sengoku Period!" Tatsuko exclaimed.
"It would seem so." Ritsuka said. "And there is only ONE Imagawa who would be passing by here to become Shogun at this time."
"Yoshimoto." Demon Archer said.
"Correct, but here's the strange thing." Ritsuka said. "The Smithy saw Yoshimoto before, and said that the person who just came by couldn't be him."
"How come?" Sakura Saber asked.
"Because the Yoshimoto he knew was male. The one who just passed by not too long ago was a female."
Everyone stared at him in shock for a moment before recollecting themselves.
"Could it be another Artoria situation?" Tatsuko asked.
Ritsuka shook his head. "No, he was absolutely sure."
"So it sounds like we have an imposter…or it's a Servant being brainwashed to fulfill a role." Demon Archer said.
"Wait, that can happen?" Ritsuka asked.
"Well not normally, but with everything that's been going on we can't rule out the possibility."
"What should we do?" Mashu asked.
"Simple, we just see if this person is a Heroic Spirit or not." Demon Archer answered. "After that we can just leave."
"Okay, sounds like a plan." Ritsuka said. "Let's get going and find out."
Ritsuka pointed in the direction to where the smith told him, and Tatsuko and Mashu followed him alongside Fou and the Mini-Nobus. Sakura Saber took a step forward to follow suit, but Demon Archer put a hand on her shoulder to stop her.
"Is something wrong?"
Demon Archer shook her head. "Nope. I just wanted to give you something."
Sakura Saber raised an eyebrow. "I swear if it's another of your stupid pranks, I'll be very-"
"It's not." Demon Archer said. "Now close your eyes and hold out your wrist."
Sakura Saber rolled her eyes for a moment before relenting to Demon Archer's request. She felt the black haired girl take her hand, and slide something on her wrist.
"Okay, you can open your eyes now."
Sakura Saber did as she was told, and raised an eyebrow at the bracelet on her wrist.
"I know what you're thinking, so I'll just tell you." Demon Archer said. "I just wanted to give you something as a thank you for helping me get this far. I know that we bicker all the time, but I really do appreciate your company."
Sakura Saber blushed, causing the black haired girl to laugh. "Okay, that's enough touchy feely stuff from me for a bit. We need to catch up to the others."
Demon Archer walked away, leaving Sakura Saber to stand there alone. The blond haired girl stared at the bracelet, and smiled to herself.
"Hey Saber, you coming or what?"
Sakura Saber turned to see Demon Archer waving at her. The blond haired girl nodded, and ran towards the group.
A couple of hours have passed, and night has taken hold. A lone woman stared at the moon and sighed.
The girl had blue eyes and black hair done up in a side ponytail and bun. Feathers adorned the bun area. Her outfit was…unique to say the least. While she wore armor on her shoulders and legs alongside purple pants, she wore none around her torso. Instead she left that area bare, barring red panties. Thankfully, her armor did much to cover her naked breasts, but not completely.
The girl smiled at the moon as she turned to her aid. A tall man with strange proportions, he wore brown robes alongside some armor, and carried an assortment of weapons upon his back.
"All right, we'll set up camp here!" The girl said. "Ben– I mean, Sessai, prepare for a banquet. In two seconds."
The man named Sessai stared at her incredulously. "Two seconds? But Lord Imagawa, isn't that a little too quick to prepare?"
Imagawa Yoshitsune grasped her blade. "Are you disobeying a direct order?"
Sessai put his hands up in protest. "I'm so sorry my lord, I'll get prepared right away! Please stay your hand."
Imagawa Yoshitsune grinned. "That's more like it."
Sessai cleared his throat. "If I may, my lord, camping in a place like this is dangerous. Please don't let your guard down."
Imagawa Yoshitsune chuckled. "I am fully aware of that. After all, I'm a genius.
I don't mind danger and stuff. If we're attacked, we wake right up and attack back. Enemies can't easily approach an army this size to begin with."
A Mini Nobu jumped up and down while nodding.
"Nobu nobuu!" It shouted.
"See, this mysterious creature says so, too." Imagawa Yoshitsune said. "Ben– I mean, Sessai, you worry too much."
"I see…" Sessai muttered. "I hope nothing serious ends up happening…"
Meanwhile, the Chaldean Trio and their allies spied upon them from afar. They surveyed the surrounding area, and noted that Imagawa's words rang true. The army she had was pretty large. Large enough that a straight up attack would be unwise for anyone foolish enough to try. Mashu looked at the group with a curious gaze.
"What do you think is happening?"
Demon Archer took a look and exhaled. "Well, it looks like I was right on the money. Those Mini-Nobus brainwashed some Servants summoned by the Holy Grail, and then they put those Servants to work…"
"Those do look like Heroic Spirits, but something's odd." Sakura Saber said. "Maybe some unnecessary factors got mixed in during their summons."
"Perhaps, but in any case it will be difficult to move around such a large army." Mashu said. "What do we do now?"
Demon Archer grinned. "Simple. We stage a night raid, of course!"
"Wait, what happened to just leaving after gathering information?!" Tatsuko asked.
"Well we can't really sneak around with this large army patrolling the area. So our only choice is to break through." Demon Archer answered.
"As long as we don't kill indiscriminately." Ritsuka replied.
Demon Archer raised an eyebrow. "It's an army of Mini-Nobus. We had the all clear on that."
"I meant the two Servants." Ritsuka answered. "We could probably convince them to help us."
Demon Archer thought for a moment before smiling at the male Master. "Good thinking. If we can get them on our side, we might be able to solve this problem faster!"
"Hey, keep it down!" Sakura Saber said. "They'll hear us!"
"NOBU NOBU!"
The group froze in place as they heard that deep voice. Thunderous footsteps made the ground quake, forcing them to turn around and have their eyes bug out as the footsteps stopped. Standing before them was the largest Mini-Nobu they have ever seen. The large creature looked down upon them, and raised its arms.
"NOBU NOBU!"
Ritsuka's communicator buzzed, shocking them for a moment before he turned it on and saw Roman's panicked face.
"You guys need to get out of there!" He shouted. "The energy readings we're getting suggest it's going to blow!"
The group wasted no time after that. They immediately ran away from the large creature as it started to glow.
The group immediately rushed passed Imagawa Yoshitsune and Sessai at full speed.
"Move, move! Get out of our way!" Demon Archer shouted.
"Sorry, we are going to pass through here!" Mashu shouted.
"Get out of here before it's too late!" Ritsuka shouted.
"Nobu Nobu!"
And with that, the group ran out of the army's camp and towards safety. The moment they were out of range, Imagawa Yoshitsune and Sessai raised their eyebrows.
"I wonder what that was about?" Imagawa asked.
"I haven't the faintest clue my lord." Sessai said.
"Well, it's probably not important." Imagawa said. The two of them turned around as they saw the ground glow. The moment they did so, they saw the large Mini Nobu glow brightly. Imagawa Yoshitsune's eyes widened in horror as she realized what was about to happen.
"Uh oh….."
Meanwhile, the Chaldeans, their two allied Servants, and their two Mini-Nobus stopped to catch their breath from running so fast. As soon as they recovered, Ritsuka looked at them with hope.
"Maybe those two Servants made it out in time." He said.
BOOM!
Everyone turned back to see a large explosion from where they came from. The shockwaves forced Mashu to use her shield to cover everyone from the impact.
"Yeah, I think we can forget about any of them surviving THAT." Sakura Saber said.
Ritsuka sighed. "I guess it was just wishful thinking…"
"Fou, fou."
Fou leapt onto Ritsuka's shoulder and nuzzled his face on the boy's cheek to cheer him up. The male Master scratched him behind the ears to acknowledge the small white critter, but his face still remained unchanged.
"Hey chin up." Demon Archer said. "You had a good plan, and it was only dumb luck that it failed."
"She is right, Senpai." Mashu said. "I have heard no plan survives first contact. So maybe we could try again with another group."
Ritsuka perked up and smiled at the Shielder. He then turned to Demon Archer. "I'm going to be honest, I wasn't really surprised you'd want to do a night raid at this point in time."
Demon Archer raised an eyebrow. "What's that supposed to mean?"
"There's only ONE person in this time period who would try something like that." Tatsuko said.
Demon Archer laughed. "So, you guys figured it out."
The black haired girl raised her arms and continued to laugh. "Congratulations! You found out my identity! I am none other than the Demon King of the Sixth Heaven! Oda Nobunaga!"
"I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but we figured it out a long time ago." Ritsuka said.
Nobunaga stopped laughing and looked at the male Master with a blank smile. "What?"
"It is just as Senpai says." Mashu answered. "We knew of your identity before the raid."
Nobunaga stared at them in shock. "When?!"
"Since before the rayshift." Tatsuko answered.
Nobunaga's eyes bugged out. "My secret identity was compromised from the beginning?!"
"You literally introduced yourself as the Demon King of the Sixth Heaven when we first met." Tatsuko replied. "There's only one person in our history that went by that title."
"Hey, I used that title as a joke about being Mara!"
Ritsuka raised an eyebrow. "Who's Mara?"
Mashu stared at him with widened eyes. "You never heard of Mara, Senpai?"
"I haven't either." Tatsuko replied. "So who is Mara?"
"The real Demon King of the Sixth Heaven." Nobunaga said. "Mara was a demon who tried to tempt Buddha off the path to enlightenment."
"Oh, no wonder I never heard of them." Ritsuka said. "I'm not a buddhist so I never heard of them."
"Well that goes double for me." Tatsuko said.
"So let me get this straight," Nobunaga said in disbelief. "You both actually thought I was the ONLY one who called myself the Demon King of the Sixth Heaven?"
"Yes." The two Masters said in unison.
Nobunaga stared at them for a moment before laughing once again. "You two are just a riot! I'm starting to like you guys more and more!"
Ritsuka and Tatsuko chuckled weakly in amusement as Nobunaga continued to laugh. The moment she stopped, the Servant smiled at them. "Okay, I think we've stood here long enough. Let's get a camp set up and rest."
"I agree." Mashu said. "It is getting late, and we need our strength for the morning."
"Oh, in that case, I'll help you get the beds ready Mashu!" Sakura Saber said.
"Thank you Sakura Saber."
Nobunaga grinned at the Masters. "While they do that, help me gather some firewood so I can start a fire. And maybe tell me more of this No-Killing Policy you guys have. Because now you peaked my curiosity."
Ritsuka nodded. "Sounds like a plan."
The two Masters then proceeded to follow Nobunaga into the woods to start their task. Along the way, Nobunaga smiled as she spoke to them and looked back at Mashu and Sakura Saber talking to one another.
Maybe getting to know these people wouldn't be so bad afterall.
OC: Okay Vlad, be honest, how many times did you laugh while writing this?
CV: Quite a few honestly, Nobu just has that effect.
OC: True, though I have to say it's good to FINALLY call her that instead of Demon Archer. I can't tell how many times I accidentally wrote her name in the script instead of that, and had to change it to her alias instead.
CV: Lol, I was actually keeping track but lost count around the fifth time.
OC: I'm not so surprised. Though that's nothing compared to the sheer excitement I'm feeling, after MONTHS of waiting, we finally got another big reveal on one of Ritsuka's favorite things to watch. I finally got him to reveal his love of Monty Python and I am VERY satisfied lol.
CV: I remember how you joked about doing the reveal before we even started properly writing Chronicles.
OC: I know, but we never found a good time to actually bring it in until now, so I thought now was the perfect time due to the comedic air of this arc.
CV: Now we wait until Camelot to bring it back.
OC: I wouldn't go there. Tis a silly place.
CV: … Well I walked right into that one didn't I?
OC: Right on the money. Though speaking of likes and dislikes, we actually managed to get into what preferences everyone has, and I think they fit well into who they are at this point in time, wouldn't you say?
CV: Right on that I'd say.
OC: So out of the ones mentioned, who's likes and dislikes were the most interesting for you?
CV: I have one, but saying it would be a spoiler.
OC: Ah, got ya. Well for me the most interesting one was Nobu's. Considering her personality, it fits her like a glove, yet it can also be flexible.
CV: True, and the twist at the end with her was pretty funny in all honesty.
OC: Well it's her fault for practically giving it away like a dumbass lmao!
CV: A blind person could find out who she is in an instant.
OC: Exactly. Though I will say that the fact that everyone is also pointing out the irony of Ritsuka's Japanese seeming off is hilarious as well.
CV: Imagine not even speaking your own language well lol.
OC: Well someone DID mention that his accent seemed off deliberately…..I wonder why that is.
CV: I dunno.
OC: Well I'm pretty sure it'll be revealed sooner or later. Now back to the chapter itself. Some of you who have played that event might be wondering why a certain Archer did not make an appearance to take out the Imagawa Army. Well Vlad and I talked about it, and we agreed that not having him show up yet was the best course of action, and that is why we had a giant Mini-Nobu make the big explosion instead….also because the idea of an exploding Mini-Nobu was too hilarious to pass up.
CV: Y'know, a giant Nobu self-destructing is always funny.
OC: Yeah. Besides, it's always hilarious when the person doesn't realize its going to blow until its too late and they are just thinking "This is gonna suck."
CV: Like an old cartoon. All that was missing was Fou pulling out a sign that said "Oh oh" or "Darn it" before the blast.
OC: Or a head or limb landing right at their feet.
CV: Or one of the main characters getting blasted and landing in front of everyone else with a charred body, or a burned ass.
OC: That's…oddly specific but I can't help but agree.
Mini Nobu: Nobu Nobu!
CV: See? She gets it.
OC: Jesus, I have to agree with Tatsuko. These guys are blood thirsty little gremlins. What's next? Them wearing tribal paint, carrying spears as they try to cook the main characters over a fire?
Mini Nobu: Nobu? Nobu Nobu?
CV: Great, she's shaking again. If she wakes up crying it's on you to get her back to sleep.
OC: Don't worry, I can do that just fine. They like it when I do that, right guys?
Both Mini-Nobus: Nobu Nobu!
OC: See? They agree.
CV: I guess you have a point, they do fall asleep quick when they're with you. Dunno why.
OC: I just have a way with kids and animals…and apparently Mini-Nobus.
Mini Nobu: Nobu Nobu? Nobu Nobu Bu!
CV: Yeah, I know you wanted to go to McDonalds but we need to get this done first so be patient.
Mini Nobu: Nobu Nobu!
CV: What!? I didn't teach you that! Owen, what are you teaching her?
OC: Hey don't look at me! I've been teaching my Mini-Nobu this entire time.
Mini-Nobu: Nobu Nobu. Nobu Nobu Nobu!
OC: Oh of course it had to be the damned editor…
CV: Send him to the core of the sun, it's a fitting punishment.
OC: Oh no. No no no. I have a better idea. We send him….to her.
CV: You want to send him to our boss? Oh you're evil, but I like it.
OC: Well I DO have a creative mind hehehehehehehehe.
Mini-Nobu: Nobu Nobu Nobu Nobu.
OC: Oh my god, I think she's trying to emulate me! She's copying my every move!
CV: I think she's funny when she does that. By the way, did you know the boss came over here a couple days ago?
OC: Oh god, did we displease her?!
CV: I'm not entirely sure, I wasn't even here. I saw it today in the cams before coming to work. She came to the studio, said something to the Mini Nobus, and left.
OC (gulps): What did she say….?
CV: I'm not sure, you know she disables the audio of the cameras whenever she's here. Hey, girls, what did boss say to you?
Mini Nobu: Nobu Nobu! Bu Nobu No!"
CV: That… We're doing a good job? And she's… Congratulating us?
Mini Nobu: Nobu Nobu.
OC: I mean I'm not complaining, but what's the occasion?
Mini Nobu: Nobu Nobu, No No No Nobu.
OC: So we'll know soon enough? Well if she says we're doing a good job, then that's a good sign. The boss can be….hard to read sometimes.
CV: Sometimes? Try always. I still don't know why she picked us specifically to watch over this version of Chaldea but hey, here we are.
OC: Well, she must have her reasons, but to be honest if it's US she wanted to do this, then you KNOW it's something important.
CV: True. I'm only grateful that she allowed us to keep the Mini Nobus after they broke in, and that the only punishment she gave us was to take away the ice cream machine for a few days.
OC: Well she DID enjoy the chaos saying it "Alleviated her boredom", but I think she wanted us to keep the Nobus around because she thinks they're cute too.
CV: Who would've thought? I just wish she doesn't put me to watch over another world. It's 15 and counting, I don't know why she has it out for me.
OC: Well it shows she trusts you. As for me, I guess the reason she wants me to only watch this one and be an advisor for another means she needs someone to keep constant watch over this Chaldea at all times.
CV: It worries me why she's so interested in this world specifically. I mean there are a lot of chaotic worlds out there, some with very rough circumstances, but out of all of those, this is the one she's most interested in seeing its outcome.
OC: Well I'm pretty sure she just thinks this one is just different in a way.
CV: That might be it, but she's not one to say stuff so we'll have to wait and find out.
OC: Agreed. Oh would you look at the time. That's the end of this chapter everyone. Please stay tuned next week for the third chapter of the first Guda Guda Event! Cosmic Vlad and Owen Chaser signing off, and getting McDonald's for two hungry individuals.
Both Mini Nobus: NOBU NOBU!
