CrimsonStarBlade chapter 2 : are you going to make an original Power Ranger team?
if yes and you need some help (due to writer's block) how about these based off of Japanese Mythical Creatures (Yokai). (truth be told, I don't have time to write a fic about it so take it as a gift)
Yokai Rangers: Morph phrase, "Yokai Strike, We Unite", Battle Phrase, "Yokai Strike, Ready To Fight"
Red Ranger: Kitsune (Fox)
Blue Ranger: Kappa (humanoid-turtle)
Black Ranger: Tengu (Crow)
Yellow Ranger: Tanuki (Raccoon-dog)
White Ranger: Nekomata (Cat)
also just to let you know, I can only commute through reviews as I have no time or patience for Discord
who knows I might even throw in a couple of made up monsters for the rangers to face off against.
as for the random minions/ annoyances that accompany the enemy, how about something called Dolt-Heads (Dark-Boltheads) appearance: 5'2 tall, black upside-down egg-shaped head, 3 red eyes in a upside-down triangle formation, metallic-black body with claws and purple metallic-shoes/boots

Chapter Management Chapter 3: What Makes A Ranger
Izuku and Melissa were shocked, even after being teleported into a Power Ranger Command Center, even after they told them about their history and how they prepared this place for the next generation of Rangers. They still would never have guessed that they would be offered a position as a Power Ranger. After all, why would they want a quirkless person to be a Power Ranger in the first place, especially when there are more powerful individuals out there?
Melissa was too shocked to answer them. But unlike Melissa Izuku was able to mutter out a single word that was loud enough for them to hear. "Why, " his tone was soft, hesitant, and obviously desperate.
the tone of his voice confused Kimberly and she made her confusion known. "What do you mean by, why? " It was obvious that Kimberly was confused. Deca informed them that They passed every SPD psychological test that they gave them and both of them desired to be heroes so why were they asking? Is she missing something? But before she can dwell on it further Izuku spoke up.
" I mean why did you decide to pick Somebody Like Us?" Izuku said with the same tone as before.
"Why wouldn't we pick you, am I missing something here?" Kimberly now knew for a fact she was missing something but luckily their handy AI came in, well, handy.
"Oh, I see the problem here you're asking why we chose 2 quirkless people to become Power Rangers am I right?" Deca asks in an understanding tone
this only confused Kimberly even more. 'Why would them being quirkless even matter? 'So much for the AI being handy I guess. ' She thought before speaking again. "What does You two being quirkless have to do with anything."
"I now see your confusion Kimberly my apologies. I forgot to tell you about the massive discrimination that they face on a daily basis. You see quirkless individuals are considered worthless in the eyes of society these days, since they have no power they have no worth. It is a disgraceful way of thinking if I do say so myself." Deca said calmly but with a hint of disgust at the end of her explanation.
"WHAT" both Kimberly and Tommy yelled out in shock
" That is horrible. " Kimberly said as she put a hand over her mouth.
From The Limited interactions that she had with them, she knew that Izuku and Melissa were bullied but she never knew it was this bad. To think today's society was this bad was quite a shock to her. Of course, Back in her time there was some racism, one of her best friends the original black Mighty Morphin Ranger Zack Taylor, Faced it due to his African-American Heritage. but he wasn't shunned by Society Like these two most likely were. This is the last time she would let Deca do all the research when it comes to this stuff.
"Indeed. " Tommy said agreeing with his wife With a scowl on his face, but he quickly composed himself and looked at Melissa and Izuku.
" Let me make something very clear to both of you. Power Rangers are not chosen by how powerful somebody is they are chosen by their heart and their way of thinking. You're probably thinking oh there are better candidates than you especially when they have quirks, which you would be wrong again. This way of thinking is a lot rarer than you think. It takes a certain person to not give in to hate, to not give into greed, and to not give in to all the evils of this world. To be a Power Ranger you must have a pure heart and the will to endure any evil that is thrown at you no matter how strong it is." Tommy says passionately to the Starstruck teens.
" And thanks to the psychological tests that I tricked you into doing and the mental scans that I took when you arrived. I can say for certain that you are the perfect candidates to become Power Rangers." Deca added.
"Yeah, and plus most Power Rangers didn't have Natural Born powers, and the ones with them Tommy could easily beat without his Morpher. " Kimberly said as she remembered the times when Tommy would show off in a spar against other rangers.
" What, really," Izuku and Melissa said in shock.
" Yep, in the Power Ranger community, it would considered quite an achievement if you were able to force Tommy to use his Morpher in a spar which very few ever did. I remember when Tommy was teaching those Dino kids and he would simply smack them around like it was nothing during an all-out spar. And that was before he got the black Dino-gem." Kimberly said as they remembered this causing both Tommy and Kimberly to laugh. but after a second Tommy composed himself and looked at the two.
"Remember this, quirks are nothing but a tool just like the Morphers are. It is the person behind the tool that makes the hero, not the power that they hold. listen you can be the strongest being in existence but still lose to the weakest of foes. Take our battle with Dark Specter he had us outnumbered with an army and his raw power severely out dwarfed our own, and we still beat him. Yeah it came with a cost but every battle does, it is the job of a hero to make sure those costs are worth it at the end of every battle. So if you ask me, somebody who has experience of being a hero. I can say without a shadow of a doubt you too can become a hero and more importantly a Power Ranger. " Tommy finishes with a smile. but the smile quickly fades. "Although it is not up to me if you can become Power Rangers after all."
"What but you just said-" Izuku said before being cut off by Tommy.
" I know what I said but there's a reason why we brought your parents here in the first place after all, unlike Zordon we believe in Parental approval." Tommy says but now looking at their parents he speaks up again.
"So what do you say Mrs. Midoriya and Mr. Shield would you allow your children to be trained to become Power Rangers?"
David and inko looked at each other, both having a silent conversation between them. but when Inko looked back she spoke up. "I only have one question would being a Power Ranger make it safer for them to become Heroes."
Tommy just "sighs" at hearing this. "Mrs. midoriya being a hero is dangerous no matter what gear, tool, or quirk you have. But what I can tell you is the training that I'll be putting them through and the tools that they will be given will allow them to be more prepared to protect themselves and others, that I can promise."
Hearing that inko made up her mind. "Very well I give my permission." Hearing that David also gave his permission. This made Melissa and Izuku break down in tears.
"Kimberly remind me to look into their daily life. We might need to do some damage control." Tommy says to Kimberly through their computerIzed connection which Kimberly gives a nod Before responding.
"I agree especially since that emotional reaction definitely was not healthy," Kimberly says Back through there connection.
Kimberly and Tommy could only sit there and look at them in sympathy as the two Bald their eyes out, but after a couple of minutes, the two finally could compose themselves. Once Tommy was sure that they were okay he decided to start the Morpher selection process.
"Now, come to the center and place your hands on the pedestal so we can figure out what Morphers would be suited for you." Tommy said gesturing to the center of the command center where a pedestal was placed.
The pedestal looked to be made of a solid block of black marble that was in the shape of a rectangle and it had a total of six hand scanners embedded into it. As Melissa and Izuku got close to it they both could feel a surge of power emitting from it and they never felt anything like it before. As they got closer two out of the six hand scanners on the pedestals lit up. Both hand scanners were on different sides of the pedestal. As the two approach the opposite sides of the pedestal both Melissa and Izuku locked eyes and looked at each other for a brief second, when they did they both smiled and had determination blazing in their eyes. Without breaking eye contact they put their hands on the scanners. The instant that they did a small flash of light blinded them for only a second and when it cleared There were two nearly identical Morphers sitting in front of them on the pedestal. The two Ranger fans immediately recognIzed the morphers in front of them. Both were the mighty Morphing Power Ranger Morphers one with white accents and the other with green. But before both of them could register the excitement that was boiling up inside them Kimberly burst out into uncontrollable laughter. This only caused Tommy to sigh as he placed his hand over his face.
" I knew it, I knew it, I told you Tommy before we uploaded that the white ranger was going to be female and once I saw the green bean's profile picture I knew he was going to be the Green Ranger. Now that's three bets you lost." Kimberly says between her laughter.
Tommy just sighed and looked at the group. "I'm sorry for her, she can get a little excited when she wins things. Although for the record we made a bet when we saw your picture before your psychological profile. I disagreed because I didn't believe you would be the Green Ranger because of your hair and it would have been too much of a cliché." Tommy said apologetically. This lifted a weight off of Izuku shoulders that he didn't know he had.
"Now since we found out what morphers you would be using. I can go into detail about the Morpher's capabilities as well as some upgrades that we added to them. first up the Mighty Morphin White Ranger Morpher, it grants the user a minor strength and speed enhancement outside of the Ranger form. Keep in mind it won't happen overnight, but in steady increments over the week until it levels out. " Tommy said but before he could continue Kimberly chimed in.
"And don't expect to be punching through walls and running at the speed of sound. You're not going to be anywhere that fast or strong anytime soon, for you to even get to that level will require years of training. Right now you're just going to be slightly faster and stronger than the average human without a quirk." Kimberly says.
" The next thing you need to know is the white tiger sword had to be rebuilt. Due to the fact, I had to use it to channel the morphing grid into the seal which shattered it. The new sword is a lot longer than the original and it has two modes, which are sword mode and rifle mode. Both are extremely powerful but don't worry about accidentally killing somebody. There are safety measures implemented into all Power Ranger suits that can adjust power output, so when you're handling the average villain you're not kicking or blowing their heads off by accident." Tommy said as he directed the last sentence to the parents that he noticed had worried looks on their faces. Which was understandable, no parent wants a kid to be running around with a deadly weapon. It's a good thing that this ended up settling their nerves in the end then.
"Next is the Mighty Morphin Green Ranger Morpher. It grants the user a photographic memory, enhances perception, and greater reaction time which is even active outside your Ranger form. This upgrade is something I added personally especially since you're going to be in the leadership position. " Tommy said which shocked Izuku.
"WHAT, are you saying that I am the new leader of the Power Rangers?" Izuku said in disbelief.
"Yeah, kid we designated the Green Ranger as the leader. You see each Morpher has the capability of choosing its wielder just like the wands in Harry Potter." Tommy said smiling at Izuku but this only served to confuse him even more which caused Tommy to sigh
" I guess you wouldn't know what Harry Potter was, remind me to send a digital copy of the series to you. Anyway, every team needs a leader and we designated the Green Ranger as the leader. So in return, the Green Ranger Morpher would only pick candidates that would fit that bill. I'm telling you this right now the Morphers are never wrong trust me on that. And don't worry about leading the team right away like all skills it is built up over time, but I have a feeling that you would be a natural at it. Anyway, the abilities that I added will help you out a lot. "Tommy said as Izuku nodded and after seeing his nod Tommy continued.
"Now for the Green Rangers Arsenal, you have the dragon dagger as well as the sword of power, which is formerly known as The Sword of Darkness, " Tommy said but before he could Melissa interrupted with a question.
"Wait The Sword of Darkness, isn't it full of Rita's evil magic, and how did you get it I thought it was destroyed. " Melissa asked with worry
" The Sword of Darkness was powered by Rita's evil magic, yes but it was originally designed to run off the morphing grid. Before Rita got her hands on it it used to be Zordon's personal weapon when he was a ranger. When I was under Rita's spell and she gave me the Sword of Darkness she didn't trust me with the real thing so she created a duplicate of it that was linked to her alone. It also enhanced her control over me to the point I was practically worshiping her. But there was a drawback to this. You see it overrides the original connection that she used to control me, so when this Sword of Darkness was destroyed so did my connection. Later when she created the mutant Rangers she gave the original Sword of Darkness to my counterpart. After defeating them we retrieved it, but no one could use it. Because Rita was still pumping power through it, it made it unsafe to wield, and it was much later until it was purified. When Zordon sacrificed himself and purified everything within the star system, the Sword of Darkness was purified as well, and we only figured this out when we were transferring all the Power Ranger relics to this Command Center. " Tommy said which made Melissa relax.
"Now on to other matters, Izuku and Melissa would need to stay within Musutafu for at least 6 months," Tommy said which shocked the two parents.
"Why is that? " Melissa said, she was secretly giddy because she could spend time with Izuku.
"It's so you and Izuku can adapt to the morphing grid. Within the command center, there's a device that regulates the morphing grid for new Power Rangers. Normally a device like this could Encompass the entire planet, but the one we have here has a limited range. Although it is possible for you to leave the confines of Musutafu, but doing so we would have to disconnect you from the Morphing Grid. Which I do not recommend When your body is still adapting to it. If we end up doing so it could damage your connection to the Morphing grid. Disconnecting them from the morphing grid should only be used in case of an emergency. " Tommy says which makes David sigh in exasperation.
"Although I do not mind staying here, since we were planning on coming here anyway. But if we don't come back soon I-Island security will be wondering where we have gone. " David said tiredly.
"Oh don't worry about that, I hacked into I-Island security system and I made it look like you two took an emergency flight to Japan under the guise of visiting all might. I also took the liberty of using the matter replicator to create clothes and Essentials for your use here. " Deca said which shocked David and Melissa.
"WHAT! are you saying you hacked into one of the most secure places in the world without being detected and caught? And not only that you have a goddamn matter replicator! " Melissa shouted in shock.
" Yes, but it's not really impressive compared to my security algorithms, I-Islands security is quite antiquated, to say the least. It also doesn't help that your security is focused more on preventing somebody with a hacking quirk and not the conventional way. And yes we do have a matter replicator it is one of the Technologies the Power Rangers SPD was able to acquire through Intergalactic trade. although the replicator is quite Limited since it can only produce food and clothing. " Deca said amused at the shocked looks that she was getting. It took a few minutes for the group to composed themselves, but when they did David smiled then spoke.
"Well I guess it's a good thing I built up enough vacation days. "David says with a chuckle.
