What if Chris Jericho won the '12 Royal Rumble
Two wrestlers remained in the 2012 Royal Rumble, Chris Jericho, who returned this month and promised the end of the world as we know it. And Sheamus, former WWE champion and King of the Ring.
The two had tussled for about 10 minutes after Randy Orton had been eliminated, Chris Jericho was now on the apron holding onto the ropes.
Sheamus goes for the Brogue Kick...

... but Chris Jericho ducks and pulls the rope down, leaving Sheamus on the apron as well.
The two wrestlers exchanged fists and forearms, desperate to knock the other one off, until Chris kicks Sheamus into the steel post before following it up with a Code Breaker.
The Irish man crashes to the floor, bringing an end to this rumble as the bell sounded off.
Y2J smirked as he looked down at Sheamus before he stepped back into the ring, he cackled like a mad man before hopping onto the corner turnbuckle and pointed to the Wrestlemania sign. As is tradition of winning the rumble.
After that, the Road to Wrestlemania was more or less the same as the canon timeline. With CM Punk defending the championship in the Elimination Chamber, with Chris Jericho replaced by United States champion at the time Jack Swagger. With Y2J on commentary as Punk retained his championship, the two staring each other down for their Mania match up.
On the Smackdown side of the world title picture, the World Heavyweight title was being defended in the elimination chamber match as well. But with the winner of that match facing the winner of a number one contender battle royal, won by Sheamus.
In the World Heavyweight championship chamber match, it played out the same as before. With Santino and Daniel Bryan as the final two, the Milan miracle hitting a cobra for the biggest near fall in chamber history. But after Daniel locked the LeBelle Lock, Santino used the ropes to roll up Daniel and get the upset win. Santino was in tears as he held up the World Heavyweight title, Daniel threw a temper tantrum.
And then the following Smackdown Santino dropped the belt to Bryan due to John Laurenaitus shenanigans. And Bryan lost the belt to Sheamus in 18 seconds, angering fans into pushing behind Daniel Bryan all the way to WM 30 where he beats HHH in the first match of the night, and Randy and Batista in the main event to win the WWE World Heavyweight championship.
Though Santino didn't hold the world title for long, he did win the US title during the Teddy Long Vs John Laurennatus feud. That happened.
But back to Chris, his road to Wredtlemania played out like in canon. He crowed Punk for his family having struggles with things his lifestyle is against, alcohol and drugs. Went on second to last before Rock v Cena, and in a shocker, beat Punk to win the WWE title with Punk passing out to the Lion Tamer.
Chris Jericho held up the WWE title with an evil smirk.
