…..

The following Sunday Ace is on her phone texting Graham when there is a knock on the door, "come in."

"Get dressed, we are going on a family outing to Costco." Zoe says.

"I."

"You can still text Graham while we are there. Come on Ace, we are going to pick up a few of the things we need for Thanksgiving."

"Have you guys always had a membership?"

"No, when your Dad went to England to pick up you and your brother, I went and got one. He knew about it."

Sitting up Ace says, "you don't have to explain to me. I am just 15."

"I know, but get up. We want to get there before it's too busy."

"Fine," Ace gets up her bed and finds some lounge clothes to change into as Zoe leaves her room and shuts the door. Within the next 10 minutes the family is in the car, Ace is wondering why Graham hasn't replied to her last text. Walking into the big box store Ace is shocked with the variety of things there. When they are walking out of the Dairy cooler, Liam takes off running. "Liam Brian McShane!" Ace yells after him as she takes off after him.

"Mel, do you think Ace is too protective of him?" Zoe asks.

"No, she isn't."

As Ace catches up with Liam she is shocked to find who he ran to. "Graham."

"I knew one of you had to be around," Graham says.

"All of us are here."

"All?"

"Dad, Zoe, Mel and of course Liam and I."

"Where are they?" Sarah Jane asks.

"I don't know, I ran after Liam, let me call them."

"You may not get service in here," Graham informs her.

"What?" Ace is now understanding why she hasn't heard from Graham in a while.

"This building sometimes can block signals."

"That is why?"

"Why to what?"

"Never mind."

"You texted me didn't you?"

"Maybe a few times."

"I can't wait to read them."

"Please stop with the flirting," asks Liam.

"We aren't flirting Liam." Ace looks down at her brother before looking back up at Graham as they hear more voices.

"That's where you two went," Zoe says.

"So Liam saw Graham and now we probably won't be able to get Ace away from him," jokes Mel.

"I can leave his side,"

"Sure." Ace steps away to prove her point, Graham reaches for her hand.

"I don't mind you being by my side."

"Why don't our two families shop together," suggests Sarah Jane, knowing her nephew is more happy around Ace.

"I like that idea, we are just getting things for Thanksgiving in a few weeks."

"Thank you for inviting us."

"Oh of course Sarah Jane, I have a feeling in the future Graham will be at our Thanksgiving anyway, just look at them," Zoe says as Graham hands a sample to Ace.

"You need to try this Ace."

"What is it?"

"Some kind of chocolate."

"I'm always up for that." She takes the chocolate from him.

After Harry puts some stuffing in the cart, "what are you two doing?"

"Nothing." Sarah Jane replies.

"Hoping for their future," Zoe watches as Ace and Graham brush their hands.

"They have only known each other for a little over a month."

"Babe, they act like they have known each other for years."

"I don't want to think too far right now. It feels like my two kids just moved in with us."

"Dad," Mel says, "they have been like this from the day after they met. Haven't you told once you meet the person that matches your soul, nothing can stop you."

"Zoe, what else do you need?"

"We all can get it together Ace."

"Ok." Ace and Graham interlock their fingers in a simple hand hold, Zoe elbows Harry to look at the two teenagers.

After they check out Ace and Graham walk in between the two carts and quickly drop their hands as the receipts get checked to make sure the cashiers didn't forget anything.

"Ace and Graham sitting in a tree k-i-s-s-i-n-g," Liam chants once the car is packed.

"Liam, stop."

"What you were holding hands almost all the way through Costco."

"We were not."

"Ace," Mel starts to say, "you were, all of us saw it."

"I."

"It's fine Sweetie." Zoe says as she looks at Ace through the rearview mirror.

"Says the one planning the future of the two teens," Harry jokes.

"WHAT?" Ace nearly shouts.

"It's harmless, you glow whenever Graham is around."

"I do not glow."

"You do Dorothy. I just got you, and I am already losing you."

"You are not losing me Dad, you will never lose me again." When they get home Ace helps put everything away; she then shoots a text to Graham to meet her out back.

"What's up, Ace?"

"We need to be more careful with holding hands."

"Why?"

"Liam is teasing and Mom is planning our future."

"Our future?"

"Whatever that means, Dad isn't happy. He thinks he's losing me." Ace looks into Graham's eyes as his smile grows. "What?"

"You called Zoe Mom."

"I have done that before, haven't I?"

"No, you always say Momma Zoe, not just Mom."

"You know how I feel about her."

"I do, have you told her?"

"No."

"You should."

"I know, but back to the topic, until we are a we, we need to try and lay low."

"Yaz has confronted me about you touching my face at school."

"Tegan and Nyssa have been grilling me and Mel."

"And has Mel?"

"No, she has been keeping secrets for me."

"What kind?"

She reaches up to hold his face in her hand slightly moving her thumb, "my feelings for you, and she knew about my kissing your cheek and didn't tell anyone."

"Unlike Yaz."

"I think she wants you to be happy."

"Mel?"

"She knows what is happening in my personal life."

"Only a few do."

"Outside of my family it is only you, Sarah Jane and Benton."

"Have you heard yet?"

"No, they think we will hear back by Thanksgiving."

"GRAHAMMMMMMMMM," Ace lowers her hand as Liam comes running up to them. "Costco was great wasn't it? All the food." Liam is bouncing on his feet.

"We go there at least once a month."

"That is so cool. What were you and my sister doing?"

"We were just talking."

"Not kissing?"

"Liam Brian McShane."

"What?!"

"Stop it, right now Graham and I are friends."

"Friends that hold hands and spend almost every second together somehow."

"WE do not." Graham starts to watch the back and forth between siblings.

"You talk, text and sneak out here."

"There is nothing wrong with that," in the back of her mind, Ace wants to find a place out here that is obstructed from view, especially for after Thanksgiving.

"You two don't go all kissy face," Liam acts it out.

"No we don't, now can you please go inside."

"No, I am waiting for Adric. You go inside, you just spent the past few hours together."

"I'll talk to you later Graham."

"Not if I talk to you first," he adds before heading in.

"Please stop flirting with Graham."

"I think the more you ask the more I am going to flirt with him." Ace says as Adric runs up.
