The Dawn of Edenia
Following the creation of Edenia and all the realms, animals would be created for all the realms. However, a few thousand years later, the protector gods of Edenia, Argus and prophet Delia, foresaw a new unforeseen vision of an Edenian man who was traveling to trade animals to a neighboring region of the kingdom perishing in a storm at sea. Delia would send her sons, Taven and Daegon to the location and save the man. The sons, Taven and Daegon were young lads with God-like abilities after all their parents had powers of their own. Taven sought to help the old man while Daegon saw no interest and thought it was pointless. Both traveled on sea hours before the storm.
Taven: Come on Daegon, this would help us in protecting Edenia that includes its inhabitants.
Daegon: I see no point; we are sent on dangerous quests and rescuing some old Edenian is rather pointless. I will gain nothing from it.
Taven: Daegon, you do realize that our parents care about all the people of Edenia, that is the duty of being the protectors of Edenia.
Daegon: I suppose so, still I would rather face real threats like Shao Khan, taking him out will leave one less threat for Edenia.
While sailing their boat, Taven would fix the sail as he contemplated his brother's words. True a threat like Shao Khan must be neutralized, he did hear recently that he conquered the Arnek Islands, the realm of insectoid species. He then sat back down to continue the conversation.
Taven: I understand your viewpoint brother, I would love to continue our training especially now that he seems to be conquering realms, likely expanding his forces.
Daegon: Good you understand my point.
Taven: However, we should also help the citizens of Edenia as well, helping them provides hope that the Protectors of Edenia are always watching for Edenia.
Daegon: I see, would it have been easier for our dragons, Orin and Caro to have teleported us there. Both open portals at will, it would have saved us time, especially time so we can train together.
Taven: That is true, I spoke with Orin before we left, and he told me that we should not always rely on them to take us to specific places. We should utilize our skills more appropriately to gain experience, even though we are the sons of Argus, we need to become more refined in all our skills.
Daegon (Takes a drink from his water canteen): Very well, I see your logic brother, I merely saw this quest as a rescue rather than a serious quest or training.
Taven: Glad to hear about it brother!
Daegon: Understand this brother, after we rescue this man, I will beat you in our sparing match this time.
Taven (Smiling): What makes you so sure?
Daegon: I have been practicing, and with your lecture about the importance of this rescue, I now have a sharp mind!
Taven: I look forward to our sparing when the time comes.
Daegon: And I will look forward to beating you in our match.
The brothers laughed, although they constantly train, they have a purpose to be the protectors of Edenia on the day their father Argus and mother Delia become elder gods. The brothers knew how to keep their bond rather it be through combat or simple down time such as their boat ride to the destination.
Just then, a storm erupted and surely, they found the ship carried away, but the man was barely afloat hanging on his suitcase.
Taven: Please Sir, take my hand, do not let the ocean carry you away.
Old man: But the animals, I can't leave them!
Daegon: Wasn't smart to do such a thing at this time, the ship is a lost cause, let it go.
The brothers helped the old man to their boat, being a demigod Taven used his fire abilities emitting a small flame on his hand to warm up the old man while Daegon set sail to the Edenian Palace.
Old man: Thank you young lads, for saving my life I don't have much but I would like to offer both of you a gift.
Daegon: what kind of gift?
The old man opened his suitcase and gave the sons of Argus different arm guards, Taven got leather armguards while Daegon got arm guards with spikes.
Daegon: Perfect! Now I can prove myself to Father when we do train again!
Taven: Thank you kind sir, may I ask what your name is.
Old Man: My name is Alvaro
Taven: Perfect we should sail back to the Edenia palace, we can speak to the king and queen to discuss how we can compensate your lost ship.
Alvaro: That would be excellent, thank you sons of Argus.
While the trio departed to the Edenian Palace, the storm carried the ship away as it lost control and crashed in the waterfalls of Edenia, however the elemental water god from Earthrealm known as Suijin appeared.
Suijin: By the Elder Gods!
Suijin, having no time to waste summoned forth waves and jets of water to collect the ship, with enough power he enlarged his body and carried the ship. He noticed a lush rainforest behind the waterfall, although it was nightfall, he could still visualize the beautiful scenery this rainforest. Placing the ship down he shrank to his normal size, almost as tall as his oldest brother, Raiden. He awoke a dove inside and freed all the cages so the animals could be free.
Suijin: No Animal should be caged and sold for trade they should be free, no one to harm or take them away from their home. You're safe now, go and be free!
Entering the forest were Edenian equivalents of owls, zebras, pandas, cougars, panthers, hippos, sheep, deer, rabbits, a flock of eagles, red canaries, doves, peacocks, Dodos, and turtles exited the ship. As the animals entered deeper into the forest they inhaled a toxin, the essence of Edenia likely from the creation of this realm was strong in this forest. From there they would develop a conscience of emotion and their minds would become complex. Suijin believing his mission was done was approached by a vision of Delia telling him to return home.
Delia: You have done well Suijin, you may return to Earthrealm, you have grown much stronger since your last visit.
As Suijin departed for Earthrealm, Delia congratulated Suijin telling him he had done well.
Argus: So, my Lady, everything go as planned?
Delia: Yes, my dear, however I am not receiving anymore visions on the animals.
Argus: maybe but they are at peace, free to do what they desire.
Delia (Hopeful): I suppose you're right.
