Chapter 6: Out Of The Earth And Into The Meadows! The Beautiful Fields Of Floaroma Town!

Professor Oak - "This is good progress for Sinnoh so far Michael."

Michael - "Thank you Professor Oak. And here's to having even more of it done when I update you all when we reach Eterna City."

Professor Birch - "And safe travels to you all then."

Michael ended the call. Soon after making sure they had enough supplies to last till Eterna City, the party set off west, returning to Jubilife City, but before they could head north towards Floaroma Town, they surprisingly came across Professor Rowan, who was being seemingly threatened by a man and woman in weird spacesuits.

Bijou - "What's going on there?"

Michael - "Nothing good. Come on girls!"

Girls - "Right!"

The party then began hearing the conversation between the four.

Team Galactic Grunt #1 - "Now, now, now, now, now! Professor Rowan, you must comply. Hand over all of your research findings. For free, naturally. Failure to comply will result in a painful time for your assistant."

Michael - "That's far enough Team Galactic."

Professor Rowan - "Ah, Michael, girls. Surprised to see you all again so soon."

Michael - "Surprised to see you here too Professor. May I ask for the reason why?"

Before Professor Rowan could even answer Michael's question, he was rudely interrupted by the first Galactic Grunt.

Team Galactic Grunt #1 - "Oh, Professor Rowan, must you be so difficult? We are speaking to you on business. Because this is work for us. What we're saying is-We demand that you comply with our demands."

Michael - "That so makes 100% no sense and you both know it."

Professor Rowan - "Agreed. Such a nuisance this lot is. At least I can list some lessons they still need to learn. #1: Don't loiter about for no good reason. #2: Don't interrupt others while they're attempting to converse. #3: If you don't get your way, don't raise your voice to be intimidating. #4: Don't think you've grown strong just because you're in a group. #5: Just what is with your outlandish outfits? My goodness… And you lot call yourselves adults? Kids, don't grow up to be like this sorry lot."

Twilight - "We're way ahead of you on that Professor Rowan."

Team Galactic Grunt #2 - "Eeeeeh! You just had to make this personal! You have forced our hand into making a show of force! We will make you regret insulting Team Galactic!"

Michael - "Professor Rowan. You and your assistant join the girls. Let me take care of these guys."

Professor Rowan - "Of course Michael. Come along Lucas."

Lucas - "Yes Professor Rowan."

Professor Rowan and Lucas then quickly got out of the way.

Team Galactic Grunt #1 - "Go Glameow!"

Michael - "Delcatty I choose you!"

Turn 1

Team Galactic Grunt #1 - "Fake Out!"

Michael did nothing as Fake Our caused Delcatty to flinch.

Turn 2

Team Galactic Grunt #1 - "Scratch!"

Michael - "Thunder Ice!"

Scratch's Current Power: 40 + 20 (STAB) = 60

Thunder's Current Power: 110 + 22 (Wise Glasses) = 132

Ice Beam's Current Power: 90 + 18 = 108

Thunder Ice's Current Power: 132 + 108 = 240

The first Galactic Grunt watched stunned as Delcatty easily took out his Glameow.

Team Galactic Grunt #1 - "How is this madness possible? Me, losing to a child?"

(Music Ends)

Team Galactic Grunt #1 - "Just… Just how strong is this kid?"

Team Galactic Grunt #2 - "Don't worry man. I'll get revenge for you. Go Stunky!"

Michael - "You still good to go Delcatty?"

Delcatty - "You bet!"

Michael - "Then get back out there!"

Turn 1

Team Galactic Grunt #2 - "Fury Swipes!"

Michael - "Thunder Ice!"

Fury Swipe's Current Power: 18 x 5 (Max # of Hits) = 90

Thunder Ice's Current Power: 132 + 108 = 240

Much like the first grunt, the second grunt was also stunned as his Stunky was quickly taken down.

Team Galactic Grunt #2 - "This won't do… Time to retreat. This mission is a failure."

(Music Ends)

The two grunts shared a quick glance with each other.

Team Galactic Grunt #1 - "You leave us no option. We'll retreat for now. We shall do so because Team Galactic is benevolent to all."

The pair of grunts then ran away to the north.

Professor Rowan - "That lot… They call themselves Team Galactic."

Bijou - "They're a major bunch of clowns. Michael made it look easy taking them down."

Michael - "Those were just grunts Bijou. Something tells me their Commanders and Leader are gonna be another threat altogether."

Twilight - "Well you've got them beat no problem."

Michael - "Thanks for the vote of confidence Twilight. Are you and Lucas ok Professor Rowan?"

Professor Rowan - "We are Michael. Thanks to you and Delcatty of course. By the way Michael. I'm sure you and the girls are aware of the energy released by Pokémon when they evolve…"

Michael - "Yes, we do. However, you Professor Rowan, are one of a small number of people believe that's a mystic power far beyond our control."

Professor Rowan - "That's correct. But Team Galactic seems to be studying that unknown power's potential."

Twilight - "So they want to know if the power can be used as an energy for something…"

Professor Rowan - "That's right Twilight. Oh. And before I forget. Everyone, this is Lucas, a fellow Trainer who's also the son of one of my assistants. He'll also be challenging the league alongside Michael and Bijou."

Lucas - "It's nice to meet you all. And I hope to have some fun battles with you once we reach the League."

Michael - "We're hoping for the same Lucas."

Professor Rowan - "Anyway, we can all relax now. And thanks to Michael, nothing came of the situation. I appreciate that very much. And I must admit Michael. Your battling skills are very impressive."

Michael - "Thanks Professor. And I did have three regions to keep them sharp after all."

Professor Rowan - "Well then here's hoping your league challenge will be an eventful one. You all take care now."

Professor Rowan then returned to Sandgem Town, with Lucas quickly following him. After deciding to wait till they reached Floaroma Town to check on their supplies, the party went north. Along Route 204, Michael caught a Budew and sent her home.

Twilight - "So that now means why, you just need Chimecho and Hoenn's funny done?"

Michael - "That's correct. But Chingling won't be seen till we reach Eterna City."

Roxanne - "Hopefully Gardenia and Milo don't mind you doing a bit of catching before battling them."

Sabrina - "Bronzor are found near Eterna City too, right?"

Michael - "I take it Bronzong's your Fighting-Type counter then?"

Sabrina - "Yes."

Sana - "I feel a bit bad for Professor Oak now. Kanto was the first region for Michael to fully see, but Professor Birch and Hoenn is gonna is be the first to be both Seen AND Caught."

Michael - "That's just how it is Sana. Not much we can do about it."

Sana - "That's fair."

The party then resumed on their way, making it to Floaroma Town without further problems. As Michael leads the girls to Floaroma Meadow, they notice a couple of Team Galactic grunts blocking the way.

Team Galactic Grunt #1 - "Aren't we Team Galactic? And we're assigned here? Standing around among flowers… This doesn't seem all that cool."

Team Galactic Grunt #2 - "Hey now! Don't complain. This is a pretty decent assignment. But Bug- and Grass-Type Pokémon so creep me out… I don't like being here either.

The grunts then noticed Michael and the girls.

Team Galactic Grunt #1 - "Ah crap. Not the brats again."

Team Galactic Grunt #2 - "Yeah forget this man. I'm out of here."

The grunts ran off, abandoning their posts to avoid an unnecessary beatdown at Michael's hands a second time. Michael then finally led the girls into Floaroma Meadow.

Sabrina - "So this is Floaroma Meadow."

Twilight then pointed to a big tree with yellow leaves.

Twilight - "And that must be one of the many honey trees scattered across Sinnoh."

Michael - "That it is Twilight. Now then. Time to do a bunch of catching."

After taking a jar of honey from a local seller and quickly applying it to the tree, Michael and the girls watched as a bunch of Pokémon approached the tree and began eating the honey. Michael then quickly caught four Burmy, three girls and a boy, a female Combee, a Cherubi, and a Munchlax.

Sabrina - "Why did you catch four Burmy?"

Before Michael could answer, Twilight suddenly facepalmed.

Twilight - "I just remembered Fluttershy telling me about Burmy have different cloaks."

Michael - "That's correct. While Burmy does have a branched evolution, it's also the ONLY Pokémon to have a branched evolution AND different forms. Now while Burmy is a pure Bug-Type despite changing cloaks, that changes entirely when Burmy evolves. Cloak doesn't matter for male Burmy cause you get a Mothim, but depending on the cloak a female Burmy has when it evolves, you get Wormadam in that exact same cloak."

Sana - "Wormadam gets a second type depending on the cloak too, right?"

Michael - "That's correct Sana. Grass cloak Wormadam are Bug/Grass, sandy cloak Wormadam are Bug/Ground, and finally trash cloak Wormadam are Bug/Steel."

Rarity - "And not only that. As you and Fluttershy proved, Combee is only one of two Pokémon that have an evolution for just one gender. I believe the other one is Salandit, correct?"

Michael - "That's right Rarity. And another good thing is that Munchlax makes me a catch closer to having Kanto done."

Bijou - "Who's left for you?"

Michael - "Chansey for Kanto, Sudowoodo and Blissey for Johto, as I stated earlier Chimecho for Hoenn, and the rest of everywhere else."

Kronii - "Any there anymore Pokémon for you to catch here?"

Michael - "No, I don't."

As the party returned to town to rest up before the long trek to Eterna City, they suddenly heard a commotion near the town's eastern entrance.
