Here is the next chapter. Please read and review thank you love Hermione xxx
Damian and Dudley exited the train when they noticed Hagrid calling them over and quite frankly screamed. He was huge and did look highly frightening. What the fuck was Dumbledore thinking hiring someone as scary as that? He was at least seven feet tall. He was towering over them and although he was trying to smile in a kind of welcoming way it came across instead a nervous and uncomfortable expression. He looked very nervous and like he'd rather be anywhere else. In fact to descibe it he looked terrified of messing something up although what that was, was anyones guess. He was far too tall and really did tower over them all scaring everyone. Damian and the other founders' heirs were all furious about him as well as terrified themselves. You were always meant to receive a warm welcome at Hogwarts. It was supposed to feel like a magical haven and a special home from home where you were cared for entirely by the staff of the school.
"Please don't hurt us sir!" Hermione squeaked out and others joined in. He was horrified himself the nervous expression being replaced by one of sadness and fear. They were all terrified of him. Someone he didn't know the name of had wet their pants and another few students were crying. Hermione was furious. It was supposed to be welcoming and he was far from it. He had terrified everyone. Ron screamed out that he didn't know any spells to battle a freaky giant like his brothers had said he'd need to do scaring everyone further. Actually they'd told him he'd need to battle a freaky troll to be sorted and in his terror he'd said giant instead. Ultimately it truly didn't matter what they'd said as it was terrifying either way. Educationally advanced experiences my arse. She was so furious that she wandlessly stunned him and knocked him out for being so ridiculous. At least this way she could be sure the evil man couldn't hurt them. She'd cursed him out of anger and fear combined. They would wait on the train platform until someone who was actually responsible came to get them. It was decided by the heirs to make an example of Hagrid and why you should never send a scary giant to meet new students. He might have been kind and even good but the fact is he was too tall and was terrifying everyone, them included. Professor McGonagall was freaked out when they didn't turn up and left at once for the station finding all of the first years looking terrified and some crying even having soiled themselves. They looked like they'd all seen a dementor or something.
"Hello everyone gather round please. I am Professor McGonagall the vice headmistress of this school. Please can you tell me what in Merlin's name happened here?" she asked shocked as Hermione herself responded.
"Who in the hell thought it would be wise to send a highly terrifying monster to come and take us mere children to the school. He frightened everyone and some of us even wet ourselves. How in the hell were we to know he might not eat us? I expected to come to this school and meet someone of education instead off the train I was greeted by a monster!" she thundered shuddering deeply as everyone else agreed shocking Minerva. She had never seen people so terrified of Hagrid. Why was he unconscious?
"Hagrid here is only the groundskeeper of Hogwarts and always gets the first year students and brings them to the school on the boats. He's a half giant and he would never harm anyone. I assure you all despite his height he's quite harmless. Why is he unconscious?" she asked seriously.
"Because he terrified us all. You saying he's harmless doesn't help us when he terrified us all. I have no idea who knocked him out but the idiot that thought this would be a good idea has clearly never seen someone of that height when they are our height. He was terrifying. I mean seriously?" Damian asked looking like he thought she was trying to be a smart arse. She had never seen such cheek from new students before.
"My brothers said I'd have to duel a troll to get sorted and then I saw him thinking they meant to say giant monster instead! I'm not strong enough to fight him and he was so scary!" Ron said crying as a girl to his left clung to him in fear.
"My Gran never told me about this monster. What did I do that was so bad that I had to suffer like this? I even lost my toad because of him. I'm a good boy I swear it. I don't want to die!" said Neville in fear while others all said something similar and she looked horrified at them all.
"I am so sorry everyone. We genuinely never had a problem with this before and so we never changed it. They say if it ain't broke don't fix it. I am so sorry he scared you all so much. Mr Weasley I know who your brothers are and I am also sorry they lied to you like that. It was a cruel joke and something they will be severely punished for. We will need to seriously rethink this strategy as he has scared you all so much. Hagrid was revived and came too looking highly confused and annoyed as some people fainted and hit their heads upon seeing him again. All in all it was a disaster as the students in the great hall wondered what was taking so long. Even Dumbledore was nervous. Had Harry done something so amazing already it had delayed them? Madam Pomfrey came to the station and healed and cleaned all the affected students. It was decided that Hagrid wouldn't do that job anymore because he was so frightening to people so small.
It was decided to just start telling first year students about him as time wore on and explain that he's lovely and cares for the grounds. This way they could adjust to him on their own. Hagrid was bitterly disappointed he'd scared so many people. When he heard what the Weasley twins had said though it did make sense. They would pay for that later on and he'd speak to Dumbledore personally to see that it happened too. It just wasn't fair. Eventually they made it to the school and McGonagall gave them the usual speech before taking them with her into the hall to be sorted. Some wandless stunners from Zacharias Smith saw the two Weasley twins suddenly knocked out which shocked the headmaster very much. He couldn't even tell where the spells had come from.
"Minerva what is going on?" he said addressing the two knocked out students in complete shock.
"To be honest Albus I don't know who did that to the Weasley twins but I can say they did deserve it. Because they chose to tell their younger brother he'd need to battle a troll to enter the school and be sorted everyone freaked out when they saw Hagrid. He was knocked out by someone I would assume using accidental magic and fear. He terrified everyone and I think those twins telling their brother this as a joke backfired because he obviously told others about it. They should not have joked with him if they knew he couldn't keep it to himself or that it was a joke. They are to blame for this disaster as well and you can bet I'll be writing to their parents about this later. When they all saw Hagrid unfortunately they feared the worst. Next year and from every year on now either myself or Filius will get the students from the station. We cannot risk that level of fear!" she said as the older students laughed shocked when some of the first years cried again.
In fact they all looked pretty shaken up. It soon became clear that she hadn't been joking and everyone stopped laughing at once. Percy was disgusted with his brothers. Because of their stupidity and the stupidity of Ron who could never keep his damn mouth shut everything went to hell. Now he'd once again be judged for being related to fools. He seriously resented his brothers always making him look so stupid when he wasn't. Now everyone would think he was just like them and he'd never get the head boy position. Percy only ever thought of himself though which wasn't a good trait to either. No one would ever like someone who couldn't empathise which is something he'd learn about later on in life.
"Yes well I think removing twenty points from Gryffindor will teach them both not to joke when they cannot be sure their younger brother will keep what they say to himself. I understand it probably sounded hilarious to them but then when he saw Hagrid he must have freaked out and panicked everyone else like a fool. Well onto the sorting them!" he instructed sitting back down again as she lead them to the front of the hall. No one could believe their ears. He'd just essentially blamed Ron for the whole thing and the whole school scowled at him which made Percy scowl at them. It had been Ron's fault after all. If he'd kept his stupid fat mouth shut none of this would have happened at all. He'd get it in the neck in the common room later on for sure. Oh how wrong he was for making assumptions which he'd learn later on in the sorting too. Once they all stopped she placed the hat down and instead of the usual song it gave it floated in the air spinning around in a multicoloured fashion whilst Fred and George who had been just woken up looked at it in awe. Why hadn't anything that cool happened when they were being sorted? When the hat had finally stopped spinning it shocked everyone as it looked brand new. It opened up it's brim and began to start talking instead of singing as it usually did.
Wow it has been so long since I was refreshed like that. Welcome to all of you. This will be my most interesting sorting in over one hundred years I am very excited to say. It's not every year that people of such an amazing caliber get to get sorted. Basically the house traits are mere guidelines and anyone who says otherwise is an absolute dunderheaded idiot. Each house has all of these traits and so do it's pupils however some of those traits are stronger in other houses henceforth the trait system. I have known many evil Gryffindors for example and many a hardworking Slytherin. Some of the bravest people I've sorted have been Ravenclaws and of course some of the most cunning have been Hufflepuff. Personally that's my favourite house but only because it's so forgiving. If you get into Hufflepuff there are fewer expectations so there really is an opportunity to be anything you like there. I know I probably shouldn't have favourites but I cannot help it. The time for changes and unveiling hidden secrets is among us all. Come forward and put me on and let's get sorted. How exciting! He gushed as the hall broke out in murmurs over everything he'd said.
