Chapter 13: Sinnoh's Contest Capital! Reunion With Azura In Hearthome City!

After the sudden encounter with Cyrus, the party was finally out of Mt. Coronet's southern end and were on Route 208.

Michael - "Almost there girls."

Kronii - "Yay. We can actually rest in Hearthome City for the night."

Soon the party finally arrived in Hearthome City.

Michael - "Ok. For the time being, you girls are gonna find those of our group that are here in Hearthome City."

Twilight - "What are you gonna do Michael?"

Michael - "I'll head over to the Pokémon Center and register rooms for all of us."

Roxanne - "Ok then. We'll meet you over there."

Michael - "Stay safe everyone."

The party then split up to do their respective tasks. Michael watched as the girls walked away, then looked towards the sky.

Michael - "Azura. I know you're here somewhere."

-Near Hearthome City's Pokémon Gym-

While Michael went to take care of the registered rooms in the Pokémon Center, the girls headed towards the Pokémon Gym.

Twilight - "You sure they're all by the gym Bijou?"

Bijou - "Of course. Nerissa and Shiori said they were gonna challenge the gym after I messaged them that we're in Oreburgh City."

Fauna - "So which of them is challenging the gym first?"

Bijou - "Shiori should be."

Soon the girls arrived at the gym. Walking inside, they found Shiori in the middle of her gym challenge.

Bijou - "There's the others."

Bijou pointed to the crowd, showing where Nerissa, Calli, Irys, and the rest of their group was. Bijou then led everyone over to Calli's group.

Twilight - "Good to see you again Calli."

Calli - "Same to you Twilight."

Bijou - "Have you challenged the gym yet Nerissa?"

Nerissa - "I have. It was a challenge, but I still won in the end. Nice to see that Shiori's having an easier time at least."

Just as Nerissa said that, Shiori had knocked out Gym Leader Fantina's final Pokémon, winning her the battle AND the gym badge.

Bijou - "Atta girl Shiori!"

After Shiori was awarded her gym badge, she regrouped with the others outside of the gym.

Bijou - "Congrats on winning Shiori."

Shiori - "Thanks Bijou. I'm guessing you and the others just arrived?"

Twilight - "We have. Michael's gone to register rooms for us."

Nerissa - "I'll see about combining our room situation together. Anyway. For those who don't know. I'm Nerissa Ravencroft of Hololive EN's Advent group. I specialize in Ghost and Flying types and live in Alola's Malie City."

Shiori - "And I'm Shiori Novella. A Dark type user from Spikemuth. I'm also a part of Advent, as well as Irys's little sister."

Sabrina - "Is that true Irys?"

Irys - "Yes, it is. Sorry for not saying anything earlier."

Twilight - "It's ok. Don't worry about it. So which type do you specialize in now?"

Irys - "Fairy types. And besides my Grimmsnarl, Shiori's got the rest of my team with her."

Kronii - "Bet it was a lot of fun though to make an entirely new team?"

Irys - "Yes it was!~"

As the party made their way over to the Pokémon Center, they saw a large crowd gathering near the concert hall.

Nerissa - "Wonder what's going on here?"

Sabrina - "Look! On the stage!"

The rest of the girls looked to where Sabrina was pointing. There they saw Michael walking onto the stage, carrying a guitar.

Fluttershy - "Wonder what he's gonna play here?"

Fauna - "No idea yet."

Michael then sat down and began playing.

As Michael started his solo, he saw someone come on stage out of the corner of his eye. But he was stunned at just who the person was.

Rarity - "Is that…?"

Twilight - "No way!"

Blake - "It's Azura!"

Roxanne - "You girls don't mean Michael's missing sister, do you?"

Twilight - "We do!"

Azura then quickly joined her brother in song.

Azura - "-The heat of a street, it muddles up the lazy summer sky. Of you and of me, it had painted us an image of an age where dreams were in our eyes. The sun and the sea, we shared the very fabric of our lives. But where will we be as days repeat and ever I change from who I'm meant to be?-"

The music paused for a second, then quickly picked back up.

Michael/Azura - "-Eternally, blue will spread its wings. Eternally, blue is flying free. Soaring through the prayers and all the pretty lies. I'm reaching out a hand but never seem to find you. The entire crowd roared in applause for Michael and Azura.

Michael - "Thank you. Thank you. And despite how sudden it was, allow me to introduce you all to my big sister Azura! Now then. I had planned to do just a single song tonight. But since Azura's here. How about it sis? Let's give these fine people a show!"

Azura - "Right!"

The crowd cheered some more as Michael and Azura got ready for their second act.

The entire crowd roared in applause for Michael and Azura.

Michael - "Thank you. Thank you. And despite how sudden it was, allow me to introduce you all to my big sister Azura! Now then. I had planned to do just a single song tonight. But since Azura's here. How about it sis? Let's give these fine people a show!"

Azura - "Right!"

The crowd cheered some more as Michael and Azura got ready for their second act.

Azura - "-I've been waiting. Heading towards the voice I heard. Keep running.-"

Azura - "-The only thing I can do even if it's just one thing. I wonder if I can become stronger? I hate myself for counting the reasons I can't take a step.-"

Michael - "The dream I've bet everything on is still far ahead. But still, I keep moving forward.-"

The crowd roared again.

Azura - "Thank you for the Encore!"

Michael - "This next song will be the last one."

The crowd roared again.

Michael - "-This music, a Ditto littered with seams and stitches is lambasted as 'Artificial' and 'Fictional' by the people who plug their ears.-"

Azura - "-But why is that? This is unmistakably the music I birthed myself, I latched onto your lifeless form.-"

Michael/Azura - "-We raise our quivering voices. Hello, hello, hello. The world is still locked within a dream. Hello, hello. And now, our words become the wind. And scatter about the world.-"

Azura - "-Just like the proverbs said this world is nothing but a butterfly's dream. But when the wings flutter, everything is reborn.-"

Azura - "-You embodied our dreams, hopes, and malice. Your form was in the eye of the beholder.-"

Michael - "-But now… You appear the same to everyone, a lone human. You've freed yourself from me. And I've freed myself from you. Someone like you. Can I really celebrate your birthday properly?-"

A moment of pause.

Michael - "-Ah, I see. We've become equals. Hello, hello, hello.-"

Azura - "-And begun down our own paths. Now, to the future!-"

Michael/Azura - "To this bewildering, astonishing life, I say hello, hello, hello. My present to you, my final message. Sing it!-"

Then the crowd got into the song.

Michael/Azura - "-Our words once again become the wind. And bridge the gap to the future.-"

Michael - "Thank you very much for the support everyone. You all stay safe getting home."

Soon the crowd scattered as Michael led Azura over to the others. Azura was then hugged by Twilight, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Blake.

Twilight - "Good to see you again Azura.

Azura - "Same to you girls as well."

Rarity - "You and Artoria owe the rest of us a massive explanation when we reach Lake Valor."

Azura - "Don't worry. We'll make sure to explain everything."

? - "Hey! Let us go!"

Michael then spotted something out of the corner of his eye. It was a pair of women being roughly escorted away by some thugs.

Michael - "Greninja, Incineroar, Swampert! Come on out!"

Incineroar - "I could've just sworn I saw Cynthia and Mars being forcefully taken away by Team Galactic and Team Plasma grunts."

Everyone was shocked at hearing that.

Michael - "You three remember Mars and Cynthia's faces, right?"

Greninja - "Yes, we do."

Michael - "Greninja. You get on the rooftops and spot our targets as best you can. Once you DO spot them, call it in and DON'T lose sight of them."

Greninja - "Right."

Michael - "And before I forget. Espeon, Delphox, Primarina. Can you girls come out here?"

All three girls then appeared out of their Poké Balls.

Espeon - "We heard what you said Michael. So what do we need to do?"

Michael - "Swampert, Incineroar. Once Greninja gets the location of where Cynthia and Mars are, I want you two to follow as closely as you can WITHOUT being seen. The four of us will be further behind to back you both up if needed."

Incineroar - "Ok then."

Azura - "What do you want us to do Michael?"

Michael - "Find the local police and quickly inform them of what's going on here. Once me and my group free Cynthia and Mars, we'll stay close by so the grunts don't get away."

Twilight - "Alright then. Let's move everyone."

Michael watched as the girls ran off to find the police. Meanwhile, Greninja quickly took to the city's rooftops to look for Cynthia and Mars. Michael and the rest of his group closely followed Greninja from street level. After a few minutes of tense searching, Greninja stopped.

Greninja - "Spotted them Michael."

Michael - "Where are they?"

Greninja - "Seemingly abandoned building down the upcoming alley on your right. Two floors."

Michael - "Copy that."

Primarina - "So what do we do now?"

Michael thought for a few seconds, then quickly had an idea.

Michael - "I got it. Greninja. Any chance you could sneak into the abandoned building from the upper floor WITHOUT being seen or heard?"

Greninja - "Piece of cake for me."

Michael - "Ok. You do that while Swampert and Incineroar do their distraction. Then while I help the two of them, Primarina, Delphox, and Espeon will come upstairs and assist you."

Greninja - "That's fine. See you all after Cynthia and Mars are saved."

Michael - "Same to you."

Swampert and Incineroar quickly made their way over to the abandoned building's door. Swampert then knocked on it.

Grunt - "Who's there?"

Swampert - "Free pizza delivery."

Grunt - "Coming!"

Just as the grunt started opening the door, Incineroar suddenly kicked it in, knocking out the grunt easily.

Incineroar - "Dynamic Entry!"

Soon she, along with Swampert and Michael, took care of the grunt on the lower floor. Meanwhile, Greninja was making short work of the grunt that were guarding Cynthia and Mars. And any grunts that tried to flee Greninja were quickly dealt with by the combined efforts of Espeon, Delphox, and Primarina. After a few minutes, all of the grunts were knocked out.

Michael - "There you both are."

Michael had appeared at the top of the stairs. He then walked over and freed Cynthia and Mars, who quickly hugged him.

Cynthia - "Thank you for saving us Michael."

Michael - "Not at all. Now let's get the both of you out of here."

Michael then quickly escorted both girls out of the abandoned building, his Pokémon close behind as the girls and the police showed up. Most of the police went about arresting the grunts, while a couple took Cynthia and Mars' statements. A few of the guards actually tried to arrest Mars while Azura, Fluttershy, and Fauna were tending to her and Cynthia's injures. Thankfully, Michael and Cynthia used their authority as League Champions to make them leave Mars alone. Once everything was taken care of, Cynthia and Mars joined the party as they returned to the Pokémon Center. Soon everyone fell asleep to rest after the night's crazy events.

Michael - "Thank you very much for the support everyone. You all stay safe getting home."
