Here is the next chapter. Please read and review thank you love Hermione xxx
Damian was shocked at the changes in the seating at the staff table and laughed as Dumbledore attempted to change his back wandlessly and then with his wand to no avail. He eventually slumped into his chair in anger. Why the fuck was his throne gone? He was the fucking king! Well king of this school at least and he needed to have a throne. He was an opulent man and you only needed to look at him to see it. What was he meant to do now? Well screw that it was just a throne and he'd wear opulent clothing instead. He could display his opulence there instead.
Besides which he still had another throne in his office or so he thought at least. That too had been replaced with another large chair which displayed his importance without being too opulent and in everyone's faces. In fact every piece of golden opulence anywhere in the castle was now gone as he had added them on himself and they hadn't been warranted. This was a school not his personal palace to parade around like a king in. All of his robes had their shine and sparkle spells permanently removed too. This way they would be as outlandish as he liked them to be but not sparkle so much that they made those who saw the terrible colours dizzy and feel ill as most students did around him. It was not necessary for your clothing to sparkle unless they were made from a sparkling material. None of the clothing was ever actually made from sparkling material as he felt that cost too much money so he always used a spell which made them look very shiny and more expensive. Besides which if you were truly a good person you could sparkle all on your own without needing the use sparkle spells. As the shine left his robes he was thoroughly fuming thinking it was a Weasley twins prank. Twenty points from Gryffindor! He mumbled as the house points counter went down shocking everyone to silence.
"Who has dared to remove house points from my house? Gryffindor already has lost twenty points because of the earlier prank of the Weasley twins and it has been dealt with. What is going on?" Professor McGonagall thundered looking at all the staff members sat to her left and right who much to her shock looked totally shocked themselves.
"I did because their prank has extended to me. My chair is gone and you all have better chairs then you did! Also my robes no longer shine!" Dumbledore whined sounding like a highly put out five year old in that moment.
"Hey say what you want about us but we only joked about Ron having to face a troll to get sorted. We didn't touch your stuff! To be honest sir we thought you did it yourself. It does look much better!" they responded as Minerva turned on him in fury.
"Yes Albus even I can see they didn't do this because quite frankly they don't the skill nor does anyone in their year. To be honest I too thought it was you. I mean that other throne like chair was tacky and more something you might see a king or prince in which let's face it none of us are. Twenty points to Gryffindor!" she said loudly as they blushed. From down the table she was shocked as Professor Riddle stood up.
"Excuse me please. I am as you know Professor Riddle your DADA teacher. I do not usually do this but I must ask why headmaster you thought them capable of doing this to the furniture and your robes at their young age? I think we can all atest to how much better you look can't we? I would suggest you get over it sir!'' he said seriously as Albus exhaled when all of the other staff members agreed with Marvolo. He absolutely hated it but had to admit it was right. His clothes did look better without the shine. It was just because he was such a flamboyant man that he loved them to shine so much. Even he had to admit he could now see better without the shine from his robes constantly affecting his vision. He'd tried not to let it show and clearly it hadn't as no one knew he struggled to see because of the shine and sparkle charms he'd used on them. I mean Harry Potter wasn't even here and no one at all cared about that. They all just assumed he'd grown up in a foreign country and he was disgusted with them all. Why did no one think it might be a bad idea for him to have grown up in a foreign country. What good was he there? How would he defeat Voldemort now if Dumbledore couldn't reach him? He'd need to sacrifice himself for them all and the sooner he was found the better. He'd look for him behind the scenes though. No one needed to know how much effort he would put into finding the boy after all did they!
"Very Well Professor Riddle I agree. I am sorry I overreacted I was just highly surprised by it. Those Weasley twins are known for their pranks so it is hardly unreasonable that I would think it was them. I am sorry everyone'' he said with a slight grimace on his face as everyone looked at him weirdly. This sorting feast was turning weirder and weirder by the second. The students were starving and just wanted to eat and sleep. Damian watched Professor Riddle with admiration as did the other Lords of the founding houses. He had spoken out about the headmaster now being equal to his staff and they were very proud of him. He'd be excited for classes for sure. Professor Riddle just seemed so fair and it made him so happy. Dudley himself had gone to Slytherin which he was delighted about. Since he had started studying more and more anyway he had a new love of books which was wonderful to see. He was thrilled to be in the same house as his brother. He knew their mum and dad would be delighted for them.
Dumbledore announced the beginning of the feast and they were all delighted to get some food. It all looked so tasty and they all enjoyed it so much. Damian was so thrilled he could have some treacle tart every day for desert if he wanted to. In all fairness Dudley felt the same about the chocolate mousse they offered here. As the meal ended they both retured to a much brighter and cleaner Slytherin house which everyone was thrilled about. Given what the sorting hat, had said earlier in the night Severus didn't even question it all that much. As he entered his bedroom Damian wished Hermione goodnight as he absentmindedly wondered what she wore to bed and blushed. She showed him a mental image of her string top and pyjama pants which he really liked. As for him he wore tartan pyjamas when he felt like it. Other times he just wore either a tshirt with his boxers or just his boxers. He was sharing a room with Dudley and was delighted.
