Here is the next chapter. Please read and review thank you love Hermione xxx
There she was her beautiful black hair twisted into a French twist and hidden neatly behind her stunning witches' hat. The hat had three points at the bottom of it and some feathers and elaborate jewels stuck out one side of it. Her ruby red coloured robes clung to her gorgeous hourglass figure as her hips swayed while she walked and he just knew he had to talk to her and soon. He eventually managed to stop day dreaming and actually walk up to her.
"Hello ma'am I am Professor Riddle but you may call me Marvolo if you like. I teach DADA here as you know but I didn't see you at the feast the other night. Either that or we sit too far away from each other!" he addressed her chuckling with nerves. She glanced at him in surprise her cheeks flushing red in colour.
"Well yes that's probably true. Good afternoon Professor Riddle. I am Professor Vector and I teach Arithmancy. Obviously you can just call me Septima. How are you this fine day?" she conversed as they walked together to the great hall. She could still feel her cheeks burning up with redness and was utterly mortified by it. Why was he making her feel so flustered? It really made no sense.
"I am fine Septima. Now why is someone as gorgeous as you still single I wonder?" he asked as she blushed bright red once more.
"Well I am very fussy Marvolo. I will not accept anything less then the best and it is for that reason I am still single. That could change though who knows!" she said flirting with him a little bit and internally wondering where this courage had come from all of a sudden. Either way she was just going to go with it and see where it got her.
"You know truer words were never spoken. I too will not accept anything less the best. What's say you and me ditch this place and head out to dinner? It will be my treat as I get to know you more!" he asked as she smiled deeply at him her eyes wrinkling at the sides in joy.
"Well Marvolo you're very kind indeed but I must decline. I simply couldn't leave today as I have too many classes but how about we do it on Saturday instead?" she asked as he then blushed himself. It felt amazing to be honest. So this was what love felt like then. This was very cool.
"I look forward to it. It's a date then!" he said enthusiastically as he entered the hall and proceeded to eat his dinner. Septima had fancied Riddle for a while now but did not approach him because she wasn't sure he'd like it. She didn't expect him to approach her though. This was certainly new. He seemed very intelligent and from what her kids had been telling her he taught a mean class. To be honest Marvolo was not patient. He knew he wanted her to be his wife but realised he couldn't rush it as it would scare her away if he did. He chose to sit beside her at the dinner that evening as they both blushed wildly. Albus scowled deeply at him for not sitting in the right place or where he thought he should be sitting at the very least. The staff were thrilled however and loved changing up the way they sat. They all agreed to do this regularly and there was nothing he could do about it so he simply settled for grumbling about it from his still ordianary seat. He hated so much that no matter what he did he couldn't get the throne seat to reappear there for him. To be honest he was finding it depressing and although Minerva had noticed something was wrong with him, in all honesty she was too busy to ask him about it. She merely assumed he'd fix whatever it was and move on.
"So Septima tell me more about yourself. As for me well I'm thirty five and I am the Lord to three houses but I don't care too much about all that. I do intend to be a good political influence in the Wizengamot though because we need to start making more sensible rules. Don't you think so?" he asked her as she smiled at him.
"Well Marvolo I too am thirty five years old. I am also the Lady of two houses myself but it's not something I usually discuss. How do you truly feel about inter-work relationships? I don't ever do flings so if something was to become of us hypothetically of course it would need to be more long term!" she asked as he smiled deeply.
"That is most fascinating which houses are they? Also I don't mind inter-work relationships but I will not lie to you either I am looking for something very permanent indeed. It is indeed why I selected someone as gorgeous and well educated as you for the role" he said feeling like a fool. It wasn't often he felt like a little boy all over again having to impress the woman he wanted. It simply wasn't done in his day but here he was. Why had he spoken about it as though it was a job she applying for or something. Now he felt like a fool.
"They are the houses of Lombardi and Lloyd. I will probably get the Vector name too when my parents die. Well that is a surprise to say the least. I understand things are done faster here but how serious or permanent are you planning on whoever you date becoming?" she asked as she served herself a second helping of her favourite vegetables and moaning at the taste as he suddenly found it very hard to focus on what it was he wanted to say. Why was this love thing so awkward and difficult? He was very angry at it yet he loved it at the same time. It was thrilling and confusing but he was addicted to the feeling.
"Yes I know those two houses from the Wizengamot. The Lloyds are a very old pureblood family from England and the Lombardi's are the same from Italy. I am the Lord Riddle, LeFay and Gaunt. However I prefer to be simply Lord Riddle unless I am in the Wizengamot itself and the other names need to be mentioned. As for your other question I am planning to make whoever I deem suitable enough my wife. I need one and to be honest it's about high time I stopped being so fussy and choose one. As of right now I choose you!" he said as she gasped and coughed loudly drinking her pumpkin juice.
"I see. Is this because you have to with being the Lord to so many houses or because you simply want to?" she asked as he smirked at her feeling very sure of himself.
"It is because I want to. To be quite honest I don't need a wife but I really do want one and you really do fit the bill. Please say you'll consider me as we date over the next while!" he said as she thought about it for a moment. She had always wanted something serious as she so hated flings but did she really want marriage either? She honestly didn't know.
"I will consider it Marvolo. If you prove to be worthy of having me for all time I will consent to the marriage. I know these things are done much faster here and usually you would need to consult with my father first but our family doesn't work that way. He doesn't decide anything for me. I decide everything for myself! Excuse me I have a meeting with a student'' she said leaving after dinner to go up to her classroom and prepare while he went out. He didn't have a lesson next so he had the free hour to do as he wished. He went to saint Mungos flowers in hand asking to see the Longbottoms. He was brought to the Janus Thickey ward to see them. They were awful looking and he could see why poor Neville was traumatised. Using a severe notice me not charm he made everyone else leave the room while he summoned one of their brain needles used to inject patients suffering with a brain trauma with a potion which could cure them in a matter of days instead of months.
"I am very sorry Mrs Longbottom, Mr Longbottom but what I do now I do for your son. I have no idea what will happen but I cannot give up on him like so many others have. He doesn't deserve that the boy poor. His poor grandmother is so worn out she cannot give him all he needs but I hope to be able to give him a bit of his hope who harmed you will feel my wrath for sure" he said injecting her brain with some phoenix tears and did the same to Frank. He then left, disposing of the brain needles properly and would check on them again in a few days. By now it was time to come back to school for his next lesson and he was excited. He intended to get help deconstructing and reconstructing a spell from Septima. He wanted to make the gemino curse multiply things without burning you as it did so. He figured she'd be able to do it. He already knew about how to deconstruct some spells but not all of them.
He arrived back in his office and decided to make those who had done wrong by him pay severely. He used the same magic he had before when crafting the dark mark and made another dark mark on the inside of a leather book. He used that dark mark to kill all those of his death eaters who were in jail only. The rest who were not in jail would have to prove themselves to him. As he had used a dark mark in a leather book and not on his person the book suffered the consequences of their deaths and not him by destroying itself after it had burst into flames. The guard was walking down the hallway when he spotted that all those in the section he was monitoring were now dead. He screamed and called the DMLE and the Minister to the jail. "Stebbins what is going on here?" Amelia asked as she stepped inside his office just inside the jail.
"Madam for some reason I cannot explain all the death eaters are now dead!" he said sounding panicked. This was interesting indeed. If they were all dead then why had it happened now and who had done it? This required investigation at once.
"We cannot let this get out yet! No one must know it might ruin my reputation!" the minister fussed as they both looked at him in horror. Why was he always thinking solely of himself? This didn't bode well for him at all. They were going to let him know how bad it would look for him but decided not to. Whatever he did it was his funeral and not theirs.
