Marcus Graves inhaled before he slid the card. "Digi-Modify, Digivolution!"
When he did so, everyone nearby prepared themselves.
"Aquilamon!" Bibi shouted as she transformed into her Champion Level. Many of the other Digimon, including Karatenmon, waited to see what would happen after the bird Digivolved.
"Bibi?" Marcus began to speak. "You in there?"
Aquilamon growled, but her eyes did not turn into slits this time. "I-I think I'm getting it. It's... not... easy..."
"It never is," Terriermon said. "The first time, your instincts are overwhelming ya, but then you learn to control it."
"Focus on the little movements first," Karatenmon kept his guard up but moved forward. "Move your wings and stretch them out."
Bibi did so, moving on to other small then bigger parts of her new form until she relaxed.
"Okay, I'm ready to fight now!" Bibi shouted.
"Hold! I, the great GD, shall finally unleash one of the fronts of my power! Stefania, I allow you to unleash my first seal!"
"Right!" Stefania concentrated, finding the feeling in her palm as the cobalt aura reappeared. "DNA Charge!" With her Digivice ignited, she pointed it at the Gumdramon before a font of energy quickly wrapped around him.
GD's body grew larger as power coursed and reshaped his form. "Gumdramon Digivolve to...Veedramon!" As soon as the power finished, GD turned into a bulky but muscular blue dragon with V-shaped horns.
"That's rubbing salt in the wound," Zero frowned when he looked over to GD. Tai chuckled nervously and patted his partner's head.
"Veedramon, huh," Kari noted aloud after GD finished his transformation.
"Ha! Watch and be amazed!" GD exclaimed as he flexed.
"You call that a transformation!? Yuma, show him how it's done!" Funbeemon shouted.
Yuma did not condone being a part of their conflict, but he did comply in transforming. "Execute! Spirit Evolution!" His transformation turned him into Mushamon.
3 champions. Everyone turned to Arshan and Coro. "A-Alright. D-DNA Charge!" As soon as Arshan yelled it out, nothing came to the teen's hand.
"Try to focus on your partner," Tai spoke up.
"Punch someone..." Coro whispered and shook his hands excitedly.
"Uhhhhh," Arshan groaned as he looked at his hand.
"While Arshan is figuring out how to access his emotions," Karatenmon took out his two blades. "We need to prepare everyone else for combat. The 5 of you, I want you to attack me." He referred to the Digimon of the group.
"Alright, it's time to show you what GD can do!" The V-Dramon shouted as he charged in. "Hammer Punch!" GD threw a heavy punch, but Karatenmon moved akin to a leaf in the wind, avoiding the attack with grace and more movement than expected.
Yuma saw Karatenmon focused on GD and rushed in. "Shiratori-maru!" He unleashed a rising slash at the ultimate. Or at least he tried to. Karatenmon's foot shot out and his talon pinned down the two arms in a vice grip before he could perform an upward slash.
"You can't escape meGAH!" GD turned, ready to attack Karatenmon. But the Ultimate flapped his wings, hovering in the air with Yuma still caught in his foot talon. Within that second, Karatenmon kicked with the talon that caught Yuma's hands, making the Mushamon smash into GD.
"Blast Laser!" Bibi flew higher and unleashed a laser from her horns down on Karatenmon. Yet, the Ultimate ducked under the blast as it flew and hit both the downed GD and Yuma.
"Oops! Sorr-" "Bibi, above you!" The Champion was about to apologize until Coro shouted. When the bird Digimon looked up, she saw the incoming knee of Karatenmon.
"Bibi!" Marcus yelled as his partner got kicked into Yuma and GD trying to get back up.
"Marcus, you gotta use cards!" Terriermon shouted.
"Right, Digi-Modify! Rock Armor!"
"Wait, Marcus, Bibi is still on top of—!" Henry warned the afroed teen too late. The Digital Card was meant to increase Bibi's defenses by hardening her skin into stone. However, it also made her heavier while she was right on top of GD and Yuma.
"Hmm... you will need to work more as a team," Karatenmon floated down towards the 3 champions while they struggled to get off each other. Yet, he turned and saw Coro and Funbeemon, mostly Coro, taking a fighting stance.
"You're amazing, Sensei! We can really learn from this!" The rookie said as his fire gem started to ignite brighter.
"Thank you for your kind words, but you have ways to..." Karatenmon's eyes snapped open as he avoided Corona Knuckle attacks with speed that surpassed the rookie level.
"Okay, I know I'm not imagining it, are his attacks getting faster?" Zero asked out loud.
Karatenmon narrowed his eyes as Coro punched the air repeatedly, firing more Corona Knuckles. The Ultimate dodged and weaved before closing in the distance and slashing with the flat side of his blade—Coro dodged the blow.
(He reacted to that!?) Karatenmon was confused, but his warrior instincts pushed forward, motioning his other blade's handle to hit Coro while he was mid-air dodging.
"Petit Prominence!" Fires wrapped around Coro's stomach, taking the blow, but not strong enough to stop him from getting hit. Coro flew but landed on his feet with a slide. The rookie held the fire that was at his stomach before he split it in two with his hands, forming 2 fire blades similar to that of Karatenmon.
"What?" Tai and everyone else watched with shock as Coro manipulated his flames to form miniature fire blades.
"Haaah!" Coro launched himself at the distracted Karatenmon, making the Ultimate defend himself from the flame constructs. However, the mind-reader was surprised about the way Coro was using the twin fire blades.
Koji noticed it just as quickly. "Wait a second. Is Coro copying Karatenmon's fighting style?" The rookie was using his blades the same way Karatenmon did but with obvious variance.
"Isn't that normal?" Arshan asked.
"Newbie, there's nothing normal about that!" Gatomon shouted.
"Satori!" Karatenmon shouted. His eyes flashed as he suddenly unleashed a burst of speed. He let go of his blade to avoid one of Coro's swipes then shot his upper talon into Coro's neck and slammed him to the ground.
"Ooof! That was well done, Sensei Karatenmon!" Coro smiled excitedly even as the Ultimate let go.
"... Yes. You... fought well, Coro," Karatenmon let go of his talon. He tried to read Coro's mind with Satori. However, it was only at that moment that he felt something incredibly empty in Coro's mind. (Not that the emptiness was surprising.)
But for some reason, that emptiness felt ancient.
Karatenmon shook his head.
"Whoa, Coro! I didn't know you could do that!?" Funbeemon flew over to her fellow rookie. "You were amazing! I mean—of course you were! You're part of my royal party!"
"What!? I can fight even better than that!" GD finally got up and ran up to Coro and Funbeemon. "I only need time before my powers fully realize! But, I will say, Coro, that you do your God Dragon proud!"
"He does his Queen proud!" Funbeemon flew into GD's face.
"His God Dragon proud!"
"Queen!"
"God Dragon!"
While the two started another shouting match, Coro looked happy to be there.
"Okay, that's... odd," Tai found himself scanning Coro. "The way he moved... why did that feel familiar?"
Karatenmon cleared his throat, making everyone turn to him. "Rough around the edges, but there is potential. Your teamwork and coordination will need to be better. Yuma had the right idea supporting GD, but he was too eager in what he thought was an opening. However, everyone else simply attacked one at a time. Marcus, prepare cards beforehand and be ready to activate one at a moment's notice, preferably before your partner attacks or is attacked. Pay in mind which card is needed as they will drain Bibi's stamina. GD, I have a suspicion you will attempt to overpower anyone you see. While I do not recommend that tactic, I will instruct you to use your new power to the best of your ability. Funbeemon, we do not know how a Digimon partner will work with the 4th generation Digivice. However, there may still be some combat maneuvers you can perform alongside Yuma that will boost his efficiency. And lastly, Coro. You have honed battle instincts that forced me to mind-read. Had you worked in attacking with one of the champions, the result may not have been the same."
Karatenmon finished before brandishing his blades. "Take a second to regroup. Then, we will go again."
[Later]
"Alright," Tai looked at the four Digimon sprawled on the floor, all back to their rookie forms. Yuma had transformed back into his human form but was also gasping for air. "There was obvious progress, but I think it's time to take a break. We're almost going to start the war council."
Arshan sighed. During that whole time, he still wasn't able to activate his aura. Marcus and Stefania patted the teen's shoulders.
"You'll get there." "If you need help, rely on ol' Stefania!" The other humans tried to comfort Arshan.
"How did you activate your aura?" The brunette asked Stefania.
The lime-green-haired young woman beamed as she began to explain. "You just gotta go brrinnng! And fwoosh! And zam!"
"... I'll keep that in mind." Arshan had an idea at that moment, but wouldn't get a chance to practice it.
[Karatenmon's Dojo: Main Entrance.]
30 Digimon crowded the first field of Karatenmon's Dojo. 12 were Rookies, 15 were Champions, and 3 were Ultimate Level. But what the newbies quickly noticed was that everyone, even their seniors, wore the symbol of Xros Heart. Karatenmon couldn't help but frown; the one he needed the most did not show up.
When Tai and the others arrived, Karatenmon stepped forward and addressed those who answered the call. "I would love nothing more to call this meeting and give good news since we are sorely lacking them. However, this is not the case."
Tai stepped forward. "Karatenmon told you all, but it's worth repeating: Ancient Troiamon is on Tab Island. We were in the process of planning to engage him, but unfortunately due to a recent rule, we humans have been banished. That has... thrown off our original plans. But even with that rule, we weren't going to leave Shadow City alone to face one of the 10 Legendary Warriors. That's why we need all of you. The 8 you see before you have a new power: instead of fighting, they can heal the Digital World. Our plan is to get them to AncientTroiamon's Core and purify his corruption. To that, we need to buy them time and have the Titan focus on the outside rather than his inside."
Tai sighed. "I know it's not the best of plans. If General Taiki were still here, he'd come up with a better plan involving war tactics. If anyone wants to leave because I asked you all to sacrifice yourselves for time, then you can leave. No one will blame you for doing so."
A moment passed. No one moved.
That was until a Digimon walked up, a Grizzlymon. "Xros Heart saved my home. Taiki, Shoutmon, and all of you fought for the future of the Digital World. With all of us together, I thought we might defeat Ragna Lordmon once and for all. ...Our defeat stung. And I lost hope as much as the rest of the Digital World. However, when Karatenmon approached me, I felt some parts relieved. You were still fighting for us, even after every failure. I felt shame the oath that I gave to Xros Heart was so easily broken by one defeat, when the brink of defeat was when the army was birthed."
Grizzlymon huffed as he raised his head. "I choose to join! I will fight once more! It was not the promise of victory that moved my heart, but the hope for a better future! You humans have fought tooth and nail for this world that is not yours countless times; how can I not do the same for my home!?"
"Hear! Hear!" "Aye!" "Better to stand and fight than waste away and let Ragna Lordmon's men have their way!"
Tai didn't know what to say. He half expected all of them to leave. Yet, Grizzlymon's speech touched even him. He was right: Xros Heart was made out of nowhere by a bunch of nobodies growing into a true force of hope. Perhaps... perhaps this was when Xros Heart shined at its brightest: when times were at their bleakest.
Kari saw the stunned look on Tai's face. She smiled as she held her brother's shoulder and stepped forward. "Our battle will not be easy, but you have shown that Xros Heart has not died! Take that energy with you against AncientTroiamon, and we'll find the Immortal Tyrant's weakness!"
The Digimon all cheered. Kari looked back. "Alright, bro. Show them your plan."
Tai gave a small smile in thanks before moving forward. "Alright, the attitude is good! But I'm not having us charge in blind! For those who don't know, I'm about to reveal to you our plan of attack."
[The Bronze Band Grave]
The plan was simple, but its execution had to be precise. Tai and Zero would attack and bait AncientTroiamon. While he was leading them towards their ambush area, everyone would lie in wait, hiding behind the many covers the graveyard of instruments held. The fact that the very ground looked to be made of musical instruments gave them an advantage: the Warrior Of Wood would have a harder time summoning and growing plants to attack the non-Megas, especially since none of the instruments were made of wood. And their cover will give them more of a chance to dodge or avoid the Titan's normal attacks.
The Restorers and Koji will sit on top of a Komondomon that Kari befriended a while back. Their hiding spot was going to be inside the bell of a broken trumpet the size of California's Golden Gate Bridge. When Tai gave the signal, the Komondomon would jump off from the bell and land on top of where the Titan would be. There, Koji will create an opening for them to enter into the Titan and help navigate them to the core and purify it.
Henry, Kari, and Tai will lead the attack and defense. With 3 megas, they're hoping to prevent drastic casualties to all the Xros Heart members while damaging Ancient Troiamon enough for the Restorers to do their job.
Simple. But, it didn't stop the fact that the newbies' first fight was against one of the strongest Megas the Digital World had to offer.
The remainder of Xros Heart began their fortifications, making trenches and pathways to help maneuver the area and create pockets of safe zones and escape routes. In one area, Arshan was pacing back and forth next to a triangle the size of a refrigerator.
"I'm worried, Coro! AncientWisemon said that I had to learn how to Digivolve you before we faced Ancient Troiamon. But I haven't! What if I broke his good vision!? What if I failed us already?!"
"What! There's no way that's gonna happen!" Coro assured his partner as he tried to balance himself on the round bottom of the triangle. "Besides, we got a God Dragon and Queen on our side! We can't lose!"
Arshan wished he even had a fraction of Coro's positivity... misguided as it was. But Coro wasn't always that dense; the little one could see Arshan was still worried. He thought back to last night and looked around. "Why don't you play some music again? It'll help you calm down." The fire Rookie spotted Arshan's duffle bag and opened it.
"I-I don't know. We're already here and everyone's working hard on preparing. I don't want to bother them and," Arshan stopped when he heard Coro coo in awe.
"What are these!?"
Ever since Koji's little escapade, Arshan has decided to take everything with him in his duffle bag, since it was big enough. Yes, it weighed him down compared to the others, and yes, he fitted his violin case in it. But Coro found and took out a baseball bat and a baseball glove.
Arshan smiled as he realized he never had time to talk about it. "Those are baseball stuff."
Coro's eyes widened. "What's Baseball?"
The brunette smiled as he sat down next to his rookie. "It's a sport I've always wanted to play." Coro had unwittingly helped Arshan calm down by talking about one of his interests. While describing the sport to an eager Digimon, time passed before Henry spotted the two.
"Arshan! Coro! Get ready. We're almost executing the attack."
"R-Right!" Arshan took the baseball gear from Coro before he and his partner followed Henry to the staging point.
All the humans and their Chosen, along with Karatenmon and Komondomon, stood atop a ruined theater that looked over most of the future battlefield.
"There you are, Arshan," Tai turned as the last pair came in. "Get ready on Komondomon. Zero and I will soon lead Ancient Troiamon here."
Arshan groaned at the idea that they were about to fight a force of the Digital World itself.
"Don't feel bad, Arshan," Kari gave a kind voice. "Unlike most of us, you've got help."
"Just don't drag us down," Koji and Yuma spoke at the same time. However, the tone was different. Koji's tone was much softer, possibly after almost killing the poor teen on their first meeting. Yuma was blunt as usual.
"Yuma, be nicer to our subjects!" Fanbeemon chided.
"Don't worry, Arshan will help out using baseball!" Coro huffed his chest.
"Baseball?" Most of the other Digimon tilted their heads.
"Maybe we'll play a game later. It has been a while since we played a sport. Wish you were a soccer player..." Tai inhaled as he looked at Zero. "Alright. Get ready to reach Mega."
"Which one are we going for?" Zero asked.
"Blitzgreymon is speedy and defensive. Slide Digivolve to VictoryGreymon when I give the signal," A Sun symbol shined underneath Tai's cloak after he said this.
Energy gathered around Zero. "Zero warp Digivolve to...!" His form grew larger, taking on the form of the red giant that picked up the first 4 Restorers. "Blitzgreymon!"
Marcus Graves picked up something Tai said. "Slide Digivolve?"
"It's a term for Digivolving into a different form at the same level. Some of us can do it. Zero and I are one of the few who can access multiple Mega forms. Koji and his generation were the ones who perfected it. Though, the Spirits of The Ancient Ten are strong enough that even their "champion" levels can fight on Ultimate level."
Yuma perked up as he looked over to Koji. "Can I fight on the Ultimate Level?"
"Maybe, but you need more practice getting used to your Digimon Form," Koji said.
"Anyway," Tai got picked up by Zero. "Everyone needs to get ready for the ambush. Karatenmon, I'll leave you in charge of leading the rest. Koji, lead the 7th Generation to the ambush point on top of that trumpet. Kari, Henry, get in your positions. Reach Mega levels the instant I lead Ancient Troiamon into the trap. And you guys," The First Hero turned to the newcomers. "You're a team. Cover each other's weaknesses. Work together. You can do it."
With that, Tai looked up to the sky. "Alright, Zero. Let's go greet our guest."
Zero blasted off in the distance, not even a few seconds in, and he was already a red speck in the sky.
"You heard him! Everyone move!" Koji cried out as everyone hurried into position.
[In the Giant Trumpet.]
If there was anything scarier than facing off against a hyped-up force of nature, it was the waiting. Silence filled the air despite all the instruments surrounding the area with the Restorers and Koji atop Komondomon. Marcus went over which cards he would likely use first, Yuma sat cross-legged. He looked like he was meditating, but even he seemed nervous. Stefania twiddled her thumbs and her Digivice. She kept quiet on the off chance that the Titan could hear her. Arshan said nothing, focusing on his Digivice and palm. He wondered if...
Marcus sighed, but it was like you could hear him even from down below. "Koji. Can you go over what the core looks like again?"
The Warrior of Light moved his Digivice in front of him, where it projected what looked like a totem statue. "The Ancient Spirits split their Digicores in a way that allows them to keep a physical essence in the Digital World at all times. What you all see before you is the "human" Spirit of Light, Lobomon. Inside Ancient Troiamon are two of these Spirits: a Human and a Beast. I'll explain more about how they work another day but know that you will see them trapped in a sphere of static. Your power can purify and free that core, which has been tainted by Ragna Lordmon's power," Koji looked down. "My D-tector couldn't purify a core the last time I snuck into a Titan, so I'm relying on you four to do the job I couldn't."
The afroed teen absorbed that knowledge, as did everyone else. "Anything else? Special fighting tips against Ancient Troiamon?"
"None of you stand a chance in a direct fight. That's our job to get you to the core. That being said, Coro and Yuma are your best frontline. Yuma can cut through vines and wood while Coro can burn and cut through them, after somehow learning how to make his own fire blades. Marcus, you should have one fire card. Use that sparingly. If I recall, there's a cooldown for using one card, and it takes energy from Bibi. The rest of you, cover both Coro and Yuma. Unless you're one of the two I mentioned, DO NOT use close-range attacks. You'll likely get ensnared if you go close or stray away from the two. If either of them goes down, you'll be more than likely swarmed and ensnared, so cover them as well. I'll help so it won't come to that, but better safe than sorry."
The Restorers all nodded.
That was when they all heard a beeping noise coming from Koji's Digivice. His screen showed an odd symbol that glowed brown.
"He's close," Koji's eyes narrowed. "Everyone get ready."
As soon as he said this, everyone could feel a distant rumble that grew with more intensity and sound with each passing second. Komondomon readied itself.
"Stick together, guys," Marcus began to sweat as he readied hands near his deck of cards. "Coro, Yuma, you two get ready."
Then, the tremors. They heard the sound of air exploding, but none of them could see beyond the opening. However, the newbies could feel a chill down to their very cores when they heard the sound of an entire forest collapsing on itself.
Arshan felt Coro's palm on his arms—he didn't realize he was shaking in fear. "We got this, Arshan!" Coro's confidence calmed the teen somewhat.
"Yeah! We can do this!" Stefania pumped herself up.
"We will win, so long as I am with you!" GD huffed.
"Stick to the plan." Yuma started to turn into a Digimon.
"Your Queen will help lead the way!" Funbeemon cheered.
"We also have to stick together." Marcus nodded.
"Alright, here we go!" Bibi shouted.
"Wait for the signal." Koji raised his hand at all of them. The group felt two rising spikes of pressure arrive on their side of the field.
"MegaGargomon!"
"Ofanimon!"
"Those are Henry and Gatomon joining the fray, but not Tai's signal." Koji kept his hand out to keep everyone in place. In the meantime, the newbie's Digivice showed data for both MegaGargomon and Ophanimon.
The fighting got worse as soon as the two entered the fight. The ground shook to the point where even Koji had trouble keeping still on top of Komondomon. They could hear blasters firing in all directions as smoke started to cover the light they had all the way up there. Explosions combined with attacks, screams, and distorted musical sounds from the leftover giant instruments only painted the image of a horrible fight, especially since no one inside the Giant Trumpet could see.
"Come on, Tai," Koji gripped his own D-tector tighter. "Get him in position..."
Then, a blast of light, almost looking like a sun appeared directly in front of the ambush group. Koji looked down at Komondomon. "That's the signal! Go!"
The Digimon nodded before racing off, jumping out of the trumpet hole...!
... And into war!
They heard of Ancient Troiamon, heard of his power, and heard of his prestige. But somehow, even as they descended over him, the newcomers UNDERESTIMATED what the title, "Titan" meant. The being was equal to the size of a mountain. But a mountain could never be as armed as Ancient Troiamon was. His name should have been a clue, based on the legendary Troy, it took the form of the infamous wooden horse that sealed the city's fate but the echoes of the internet stylized this mythological figure with cannons that could sink even warships attached to every side it could house them. It may have looked like wood, but for one instant, it was as if the newcomers were about to invade the Death Star. (Which was oddly apt when considering their circumstances.)
Some of the cannons on top of Ancient Troiamon pointed upward to the falling group. However, Koji leapt off with his D-Tector shining.
"Execute! Fusion Evolution!" A burst of data rings surrounded the Warrior of Light's hand as he quickly slid it against the end of his Digivice. At the same time, blasts of wood shells fired towards the group.
"Beowolfmon!" Koji transformed into a being that epitomized the title of Warrior of Light. He was an armored humanoid being that took on aspects of both beast and human, and he didn't hesitate to use it as Beowolfmon used a double-bladed greatsword. With a single slash, all incoming attacks split in two and exploded harmlessly before Koji sped through the smoke and crash-landed into the Titan's back.
"Yuma, I can't wait till you can do that!" Funbeemon shouted.
"Everyone, brace for impact!" Marcus yelled as Komondomon landed on top of the giant wooden horse of doom. But there was no time, cannon fire and attacks shook even after Komondomon kept moving towards Koji. The Warrior of Light was already tracing a hole large enough for the Champion to fit through with the other Restorers. Koji completed the circle, kicked down the circle, and then pointed his free arm at Komondomon. That arm opened up to reveal a cannon that shot an intense laser that sailed past the Restorers and exploded a cannon about to turn and aim at the newcomers.
"Hurry, get in!" Koji shouted as he started firing a move he called, "Cleansing Light", at other cannons attempting to shoot at them.
Komondomon raced towards the—
"No! Stop! Something's coming up!" Coro jumped forward and landed on top of Komondomon's head, forcing the vehicle Digimon to stop in his tracks. When he did so, vines geysered out of the hole Koji made, twisting and forming together into 3 giant flowers.
"What's that!?" Stefania gasped as Koji looked back in alarm, making the Warrior of Light slide back in to protect the Restorers.
Oh?
A voice rang in all directions, but everyone knew where the voice came from as the newbies turned to the giant horsehead with glowing static lights.
So there is where you hid my lord's prey, Zero Tamer. A bold maneuver, but he prepared in case I were to be ambushed.
The three flowers bloomed. And Koji's eyes widened with alarm.
You were not the only one with reinforcements.
The Restorer's Digivices shined.
"Rosemon! Mega Level! Two of them! And that purple flower is a Lotusmon! Also Mega!" Arshan shouted as his Digivice and others revealed the Digimon before them.
"Thorn Whip!" The two Rosemon screamed in distorted, glitching voices as they sent their attacks towards the Restorers. Beowolfmon acted first, using his blade to slash the whip on the right while his cannon blasted away the second one on the left.
"Seven's Fantasia!" The Lotusmon cried out as it unleashed a rainbow beam right for Koji, who could not dodge the Mega Level attack or it would hit the Restorers—
"Victory Charge!" Something meteored down in front of Koji and reflected the attack at the three plant megas. However, the corrupted flower megas avoided the reflected attack as the thrum of vines was blasted away in a sweep of flames.
The Restorers looked up, seeing a familiar but different form. Yet, they recognized Tai on the right shoulder of the Mega, signaling that Zero had come in and saved them in a new form: Victorygreymon.
"I wasn't expecting more Megas!" Tai shouted as Zero picked up and ignited the giant sword he wielded.
So quick to strike them. Do not tell me you don't recognize your former "allies"?
As soon as AncientTroiamon said this, everyone watched with varying levels of horror as static gathered and grew out of the shoulders of the Rosemon akin to aggressive tumors. They looked like eaters, but then they started to take humanoid forms.
Both humanoid Eaters took on female-like forms but one had a pulsating green symbol around her chest: one that looked like a green teardrop.
"Wait...!" Tai narrowed his eyes as he looked at the one with a glowing symbol. "Is that...!?"
The First Generation had more power than they expected. Why don't you show them, Tachikawa?
From the distance, even Kari gasped when she heard that voice and felt an energy in her necklace react. "No! They didn't!"
But why stop at only the first? The 5th Generation can access a form beyond Mega, is that not right, Fujieda?
"Wait, that's what happened to Yoshi!?" MegaGargomon screamed as he continued to counterfire at the incoming missiles of Ancient Troiamon's attacks.
"D...N...A... Digi-volve..." A female voice strained through the words before the Rosemon with the Crest Eater and the Lotusmon turned into energy and merged.
"Bur...st...mode..." The other Eater Human spoke as a light shined in their hip.
"Tai! Two Megas are DNA Digivolving! And the last Rosemon is reaching Burst Mode!" Koji yelled.
The first chosen gritted his teeth and turned back to the Restorers. "Change of plans! Komondomon, go in! Restorers, purify the core at all costs! Koji, I'm gonna need your help!"
The Komondomon nodded as it went into the hole Koji made just as the lights finished colliding together. The last thing the Restorers heard was the sound of static-like voices echoing out through the battlefield.
"Rafflesimon!" "Rosemon: Burst Mode!"
[Inside Ancient Troiamon.]
"You've got to be kidding me!" Marcus looked at his Digivice as Komondomon raced deeper into Ancient Troiamon. "According to our Digivices, Rafflesimon and Rosemon: Burst Mode can make even normal MEGAS look like chumps! And Tai and Koji are fighting them alone!?"
"We don't stand a chance against even an Ultimate, let alone a pair of high-class Megas!" Yuma as Mushamon shouted. "Tai was right to send us to the core while they fend them off!"
"W-Will they be alright!?" Arshan yelled as he could feel the fear and panic coming from both experienced Chosen before they were forced deeper into the Titan.
"They have to be! They've obviously been through more than us!" Although Stefania tried to be positive, the explosive aura unleashed by the Titan's reinforcements did not help her resolve.
Komondomon moved forward. The inside of Ancient Troiamon was unlike anything they expected. It looked more like the insides of a wooden ship than a titanic monster. However, even though the fighting outside was brutal, there was an eerie feeling going on with how silent everything inside the Digimon was.
"I don't like this," Marcus looked to Stefania. "Digivolve GD! I'll do the same with Bibi! Coro, you have the sharpest senses out of all of us: can you sense an attack incoming?!"
Coro was still on top of Komondomon's head. The rookie looked ahead, but only saw what looked like an endless hallway. "... No. It's like he's welcoming us."
Indeed I am. I was ordered to capture all Restorers alive. However, the Digimon partners? My lord did not specify their fates.
"Then come and face us!" GD shouted as he finished transforming into V-dramon. "I will show you that even the natural plant force of the Digital World is no match for the God Dragon of the Digital World!"
Very well. I accept your challenge, 7th Generation! Show me the strength of the Last Digidestined!
As soon as the declaration ended, Komondomon jerked to a stop, making everyone scream. The Digmon whined in pain before Coro looked down and shouted, "Vines are wrapping around Komondomon!"
"Yuma, Coro, free him! GD, Funbeemon, support them but don't get off!" Marcus took charge as he fished for his deck. "Bibi, fly up and support the two! Digi: Modify! Speed!"
Bibi ascended with the speed of a geyser, shooting up and shouting, "Stealth Quarrel!" She swiped her wings, sending a rain of feathers down that struck like daggers, cutting and weakening the vines growing around the right side of Komondomon.
"Petit Prominence!" "Shogun Sword!" Coro and Yuma unleashed their attacks on Komondomon's left side. However, despite everyone doing their best, the vines grew back quicker than most could be destroyed.
Yuma gritted his teeth as he saw more vines return from where he slashed. He moved forward, wanting to outpace the sudden growth spurt. However, as he did so, his hip started to shine. He looked over and saw his Digivice shining its Restorer light, and warding away the incoming vines.
"Our Digivices! They can stop the vines better!" Yuma picked his out and shined its light on the nearby vines, forcing them to shrink away from the riding champion.
The other humans did the same. Working together freed up Komondomon from his snares.
"Guys, get back on! Komondomon, keep going until we reach the core!" Marcus yelled. The dog Digimon growled. The second when everyone was on, it blasted forward with even greater speed as Bibi watched everyone from above. More of the hallways themselves started to change and twist to stop the Restorers. But the combination of attacks and the Digivices protected the group and cleared their path.
I see. Your Digivices have special powers that prevent me from directly touching you.
Then we will do this by the way of the ancients.
"What does he mean by that!?" Stefania got her answer when a giant hole appeared underneath Komondomon, causing everyone to fall into the abyss with Bibi and Funbeemon racing in after them.
Komondomon acted fast, using his own body to protect those on top of him. However, he landed with a crash, forcing everyone on top of him to fall off.
Coro landed on his feet and caught Arshan despite being smaller. GD landed on his back where Stefania slammed into his stomach. Yuma landed on his feet with Funbeemon flying to him. Marcus rolled into a knee as Bibi checked on him.
"Where are we?" Arshan asked as Coro helped him to his feet.
The Restorers looked around their new surroundings. Instead of a wood that looked carved by man and architecture, the area in front of them was wild, untamed, and held different flora from all walks of life. Cactuses mixed with palm trees and cherry blossoms. Sunflowers and roses littered the area.
But all these various plantlife circled and stayed away from... a giant core of static.
"There it is!" Yuma knew that everyone was hard in the fight above. He dashed forward as he knew the longer they hesitated, the more the others fighting above would suffer.
"Wait, Yuma!"
Marcus' voice drowned out as Yuma readied to shine his Digivice's light at the core. The Mushamon noticed too late the core shifted and a leg shot out to kick him backward. Yuma grunted as he slid to stop himself from falling, yet quickly looked back up.
"You're going to have to do better than that." It was the same voice of Ancient Troiamon, but coming from a smaller, humanoid form. It looked as if the core turned into the shape of the new Digimon before the Restorers. "1 vs 8. Oddly enough, I think the odds are in my favor."
Arshan looked at his Digivice. "Arbormon. Champion level." His eye glazed over the extra fluff. "He can access power from the Spirit of Wood!"
"I underestimated your partners. Or rather your bond. If you are anything like the previous generations, then The Digivice grows stronger by the bond with your Digimon Partner. In order to subdue you and bring you to Ranga Lordmon, I must defeat your protectors. Or for the Mushamon's case, his digital form."
"Hey!" Funbeemon shouted.
"You think you stand a chance in that form!? You're even smaller now!" GD exclaimed as he rushed ahead. "Arrow Breath!"
As the attack sailed, no one expected Arbormon to dodge the attack by bending his body in a way only a puppet could mimic. Seeing GD startled, the Warrior of Wood opened up his chest, revealing a cannon aimed at the blue dragon.
"Blockade Seed!" A seed the size of a cannonball shot toward GD before opening up to reveal a swarm of vines widening to swallow him—
"Petit Prominence!" Coro slid in between the attack and GD and flared with a barrier of fire that melted the incoming attack. The fire rookie turned. "I got your back, GD!"
The blue dragon gave a toothy grin at the fire rookie. "Not bad, Coro! Now let me show you how the God Dragon does it!" He ran forward. This time, Coro followed after him as Yuma dashed to catch up as well.
Seeing three Digimon rush him, Arbormon stood up straight and aimed his cannon at the incoming opponents. "Blockade Seed!"
"Corona-Knuckle!"
Although the Warrior of Wood attempted to impede his opponents with more vines, Coro's fire fists met with the exploding seeds and burned them mid-air before they could hit their targets.
"Alright!" Vines shot out of Arbormon's wrists before he held them tight. "Vine Storm!" With his puppet-like arms, he swung the thick vines like whips, creating a whirlwind of plants that tore even the ground beneath him.
Coro and Yuma sped forward towards the vines moving at the speed of sound.
"Petit Prominence!" "Shogun Sword!"
Yuma's blade glowed as Coro used his flames to form twin sword constructs. The two unleashed a series of slashes rivaling the speed of the vines, burning and cutting the attack meant for them. Their opening allowed GD to rush in, hand reeled back behind him.
"Hammer Punch!" As he threw his punch, Arbormon's stance went slack, allowing him to dodge by dropping his body—only for the Warrior of Wood to realize GD was smiling this time, as if expecting him to dodge the same way. It was only then that Arbormon looked down to see GD preparing his other fist with gathering energy—
"Magnum Punch!" A heavier blow uppercutted the opposing warrior into the air. If Arbormon thought his woes were over, his eyes widened when he saw two lights: one above him from Bibi charging an attack and below her with Marcus swiping a card.
"Digi-Modify! Cyclonemon: Hyper Heat!" An intense laser exploded out of Bibi's maw, smashing into the Digimon and smacking him down with the force of a meteor.
The impact of the crash caused a dust storm that made everyone cover themselves.
Coro, while covering his face, had his eyes snapped open. "Guys! There's a spike of energy!"
"Arbormon Slide Digivolve too...!" Arbormon's voice carried weight and power that dwarfed the tone mere seconds ago. With a quaking stomp, the dust parted forcefully, revealing an even larger Digimon than before.
"Petaldramon!" The Warrior of Wood unleashed a roar strong enough to create a wind force behind it.
"Shit!" Marcus looked at his Digivice as it showed the news stats of the Digimon in front of them. "He turned into an Ultimate Level Digimon!"
"You should all be proud. You fought better than the 4th Generation when they first faced me," Petaldramon slinked low as his eyes flashed in static. "However, playtime is over!"
The petals around its head spun rapidly, making Coro, Yuma, and GD's instincts scream at them to get out of the way.
"Leaf Cyclone!" A swarm of petals blasted forward with dangerous force. The Restorers avoided the attack; however, the attack hit Komondomon directly as he tried to get back up, causing the carrying Digimon to get swept by the attack and explode into one of the giant trees.
Stefania gasped. "Komondo—!?"
"Thousand Spikes!" With another stomp of his feet, Petaldramon continued his attack. The ground beneath the Restorers and their Digimon erupted upward, revealing large vines that quickly ensnared and captured Marcus, Stefania, and Arshan, restraining them and making them drop their Digivices.
"Arshan!" "Stefania!" Coro and GD shouted. But the vines erupted underneath the two and smothered both quickly. Yuma got out of the way but saw a shadow above him—as Petaldramon slammed his front right paw down on the Mushamon, pinning him down with all his weight.
"Yuma! Let him go! Gear Stinger!" Funbeemon fired an attack at Petaldramon's eyes. However, the Beast of Wood curved his tail to swat away the attack with a flick. A single root shot out and tied up Funbeemon.
"Marcus! Everyone!" Bibi shouted as she watched everyone get taken down. Without waiting, she dove down, her horns glowing with power. "Penetrator!" She intended to cut down the vines and roots trapping Marcus and possibly Stefania with Arshan.
She didn't see the second Leaf Cyclone that blasted her mid-dive and caused her to get caught by the trees.
"Well fought, Restorers," Petaldramon's voice grew sinister. Yuma struggled but could barely move his body. Try as GD and Funbeemon might, but they could not budge the tightening vines. Bibi tried to get up, but branches grew and weighted her body down. Arshan, Stefania, and Marcus were unable to free themselves from the roots tying them and lifting them by the wrists. Coro burned through his vines. However, Petaldramon seemed wary of the only fire Rookie and continuously wrapped layer and layer of vines, attempting to outpace the Coronamon in stamina.
"Now I annihilate the last of Xros Heart."
[In the fighting outside.]
"GAH!" Zero yelled as Rafflesimon dodged his blade swipes in a dancing maneuver before the flying petal reflectors orbiting her slammed into his gut and sent him flying.
"Zero! Tai!" Koji looked away at a bad time as he clashed with Rosemon: Burst Mode. The Burst Mode knocked away Koji's Trinität blade before kicking him off the edge of Ancient Troiamon! That was until Beowolfmon grabbed the ledge at the last second, making him dangle off the Titan.
Koji looked down. With Tai gone, their ambush went astray. Ofanimon was trapped in one area, creating a barrier to protect Kari and a vast majority of injured Xros Heart Digimon that tried to split Ancient Troiamon's focus. But the Mega Angel's barrier was under heavy fire. Between the blasting Mega and Ofanimon was Megagargomon. Henry and Terriermon were doing their best to counterfire with their arsenal blast. But with their numbers dwindling greatly, he was slowly losing the battle of attrition. They both were.
Koji looked back up as he saw Rosemon: Burst Mode above him. She raised her blade, intent to finish off the Warrior of Lig—
She raised her head and dodged a blade thrown in her direction. While the Burst Mode was distracted, Koji felt himself picked up and quickly brought to Trinität.
Beowolfmon knew who saved him: he saw the black feather. "Karatenmon!?"
"Focus back in the fight! I'll assist Tai!" The Ultimate didn't hesitate as he rushed where Rafflesimon chased after Tai and Zero.
The crow samurai was beyond outclassed, but it didn't stop him from unleashing one of his strongest attacks. "Harmony Blade!" He cried out as he sent a slash beam at the fusion of 2 Megas. Rafflesimon didn't look his way as her flying flowers intercepted and took the attack like water drops.
"Satori!" Karatenmon aimed his attack at the Fusion in an attempt to defend himself. However, in his charge to save the humans, Karatenmon had forgotten that he was fighting on top of Ancient Troiamon.
A canon formed and shaped atop the surface and blasted Karatenmon, causing him to crash like a skipped stone. Said cannon began to gather energy as Karatenmon moved too slowly to get out of the way.
"Karatenmon!" Tai, Zero, and Koji shouted out in panic as they saw their friend about to be killed. They moved to save him— but the Fusion and the Burst Mode intercepted and locked them into a deadly fight.
"Karatenmon, get out of there!" Tai yelled out desperately while trying to keep himself stable atop Zero.
The Ultimate only had the energy to look up as the cannon fully charged. He closed his eyes...
"Dark Explosion!"
Specks of black stardust came from above and exploded with destructive force, preventing the cannon from harming Karatenmon.
"What? That attack...!?" As Karatenmon looked back, Rosemon: Burst Mode and Rafflesimon were blindsided by over a dozen combined attacks.
From the sky, two figures dropped down in front of Karatenmon while over a dozen groups of Digimon dog-piled and attacked the two Rose Megas.
"Yeesh! I thought you guys were going to put up a better fight than that! Looks like we came just in time!"
"Do not let your guard down! Rafflesimon and Rosemon: Burst Mode surpasses even Mega Levels! Press the attack!"
"Dorulumon? ... Darksuperstarmon!?" Karatenmon shouted the names of the two that appeared in front of him. He half wished Dorulumon to reappear, but what was Darksuperstarmon doing here?!
"Yeah, yeah! Don't worry! Calvary's here!" As soon as Darksuperstarmon shouted this, Ancient Troiamon began to lose balance and shake as the ground beneath him gave way.
Out of the instrumented ground, Scorpionmon and LoaderLeomon erupted forward.
"More holes! More holes! I can make more than you!" Scorpionmon shouted.
"Is that a challenge, Scorpionmon? Then I accept! First to make Ancient Troiamon fall will owe the other drinks for three months!" The two Ultimates quickly dug back into the ground.
The cannons of Ancient Troiamon attempted to aim at the two burrowing Ultimates that made it lose its footing. However, when his cannons moved, he was bombarded with a rain of attacks not from Xros Heart.
Tai, Koji, Henry, and Kari looked in the distance, seeing a new army led by Mermaidmon.
"Come on then! Show them Shadow City's fangs! They may have been dulled, but they will make a god bleed this day! Keep firing!" Mermaidmon shouted as she pointed her golden anchor forward, focusing bombardment into Ancient Troiamon and further imbalancing him.
Karatenmon found the strength to stand with help from his blade as he looked to Dorulumon. "You returned after all."
The Beast Digimon smiled before he looked down. "I... cannot take credit. I owe my return to DarkSuperstarmon here."
"What?" Karatenmon stared in disbelief. Dark Superstarmon was his most adamant enemy. He was the first to voice how humans were the problem in Shadow City, so why was he the one ultimately coming to the rescue?
"I... I was spying on you in case you disobeyed the council," The black Ultimate admitted. "I wanted an excuse to kick you out... but then I heard what that Grizzlymon said. ... He was right. Humans HAVE been fighting for us as long as they've been in the Digital World. It's not even their home! ... When I realized that, I went back to the council and convinced them to marshal an army to help you. I stopped by this one's house and told him what I heard."
"Darksuperstarmon was less kinder than you. He grabbed me by the tail and dragged me out of my house kicking and screaming," Dorulumon looked up. "But seeing and hearing everyone wanting to fight once more... What the hell?! I'll give it one more go!"
"Okay, enough of the mushy stuff! Those megas are getting back up!" The star Ultimate cried as Raffleismon turned to them after beating away all the Champions piling on her.
However, Karatenmon found his second wind. The tides had turned in their favor, and he would not let up now. "Onward! For the Digital World!"
[In the core.]
With the Shadow City reinforcements, Ancient Troiamon lost focus, making Petaldramon scream in pain as he felt the increase of attacks and distractions.
Because he was distracted, he stopped layering Coro's prison. Sensing his chance, Coro unleashed a burst of flames that burned his snare cage to ash.
Petaldramon shook his head as he tried to focus. "Oh no you don't! ThousandGAHHH!?"
Outside, with the pressure of bombardment gone, Ofanimon and Megagargomon unleashed a combined attack on the face of Ancient Troiamon. The entire Digimon shook, but Coro saw his chance and quickly fired Corona-Knuckles at his allies, freeing all of them from their vines. The constant pressure from outside also forced Petaldramon to lift his paw off Yuma, who quickly repositioned himself.
"Alright, guys!" Stefania punched the air. "He's losing focus! Let's combine our might and go for the goal!"
Marcus pointed forward. "She's right! We won't get another chance! Everyone give it your all!"
"Blast Laser!" "Arrow Breath!" "Shogun Sword!" "Corona Flame!" "Gear Stinger!"
The five attacks combined, increasing their powers as they unleashed a torrent of energy on the Ultimate, making him scream in pain. With a heavy slam, Petaldramon fell forward, his body turning back into static.
"Now! Use our Digivices on him!" Yuma yelled as he took out his D-Tector.
The others did as well. The different items asked, "Activate Restoration Program?"
"YES!" The four humans cried out as they pointed their Digivices at the downed Petaldramon. Its golden light combined and made the being of static writhe in pain.
Outside, everyone stopped fighting as Ancient Troiamon and the Flower Megas dropped to their knees in shrieking pain.
"Keep going!" Marcus yelled, moving forward beside Yuma and inspiring Stefania and Arshan to do the same.
"Pin him down!" Coro yelled as he, GD, Bibi, and Funbeemon tackled the writhing Petaldramon. More of its body turned from static to gold until...
(A golden explosion erupted from Petaldramon's full turn.)
[...]
Arshan opened his eyes slowly. When he did so, he saw a white core with two totems circling in unison.
"D-Did we do it?" Arshan asked one second before the floor beneath them started to shake.
[Outside of Ancient Troiamon.]
Zero and Koji ran forward when the two Megas they were fighting started to lose energy. In a burst of light, three figures appeared from Rafflesimon, two females and a Palmon. For Rosemon: Burst Mode, a red-haired woman and a Lalamon fell. Koji caught both of them while Zero cupped his hands to prevent the others from falling hard.
Tai looked down at the two girls in Zero's hands. "... Mimi... Palmon..."
"Ughhhh. I have succchhhhhhh a headache?" The girl in a pink, cowboy-like attire groggily raised her head. "Palmon? Where are you?"
"Mimi? Owww. What happened?"
Meanwhile, Koji powered down to his human form as he put down the two he rescued.
"That's a horrible headache. Please tell me Marcus Damon didn't do something stupid," The red-haired woman put a hand on her head. "Lalamon, are you good?"
"Yoshi? Owwwwww. Everything's spinning."
Koji couldn't help but smile in relief. "It's good to see you again, Yoshi Fujieda."
"Huh?" The red-haired woman blinked as her eyes adjusted. "Koji? W-What are you doing here? ... Where is here? The last thing I remember was fighting Nanami... wait! Where is she!?"
Koji looked over to the other girl Zero caught. Unlike how Tai was handling someone in his generation, the blonde in a Lolita goth dress was left alone on the floor with Karatenmon, Dorulumon, and Darksuperstarmon looming over her.
Are my listening holes working? Cause it sounds like I just heard my 'pal' Koji! How's it going, man!?
Koji sighed. "Why did the mobster accent have to return?"
"Guys!" Kari, Ofanimon, and Megagargomon flew in. The Bearer of Light looked around. "Where are the others!?"
Ah, those guys? Gimme a minute here! I'm working on it! I'm working on it!
Ancient Troiamon tried to rebalance himself. But as he put his foot down, a piece of wood opened forward, revealing the Restorers alongside an injured Komondomon rolling out on the instrument floor.
"Ah! Ofanimon, heal them!" Kari shouted as her Mega raced down to the Restorers, prompting everyone else to follow after her as well.
[Later]
"So there's a new generation?" The one called Yoshino or "Yoshi" looked over to the Restorers, specifically Marcus Graves. "I am surprised there's another Marcus. At least you don't act like a knucklehead, but calling you that is gonna be super awkward."
"You can call him Marcy instead!" Bibi beamed.
The afroed teen laughed nervously before rubbing his head. "You can just call me Marc for short. I did notice that the older Generation did hesitate when calling me Marcus."
"Oh my gosh!" The one named Mimi grabbed Stefania's hands with light in her eyes. "You're so pretty, Stefania! You simply have to tell me your routine!"
"Splendida!" Stefania's eyes shined before both she and Mimi started to speak very fast to each other.
"So, Eaters affect humans too?" Arshan asked as he turned to Tai.
"Yeah. If an Eater gets to a Human, it takes control over them. We lost Mimi and some others to them over time. I'm... glad they're back..." The older Chosen sounded relieved when he said that.
Yuma looked over to the last human they freed. "Why is she chained?"
The Restorers and their partners looked over to the blonde, who was tied up and still unconscious.
"This one is a Paladin," Karatenmon kept his eye on the woman. "Or rather, she works under Ragna Lordmon. One of the 5th Generation... technically speaking."
"What?" Stefania and Arshan asked at the same time.
"I guess I have to explain my generation's quirks. Not looking forward to that..." Yoshi sighed as she put a hand on her head.
"Still, it's great to see you again, Yoshi." Kari went in to hug the taller woman.
Yoshi didn't know how to react but returned the hug. "It's good to see you too, Kari. And you too, Tai, Henry, and Koji."
Tai looked over to Darksuperstarmon. "So, I guess we have you to thank for our timely rescue."
"I won't be making a habit of it. Though, if it means I get to show bird-brain a thing or two, I won't mind," The dark star Ultimate turned to Karatenmon.
"Can I ask if this means we're no longer banned?" Tai asked politely.
"Hmmmm," Everyone turned over to see Mermaidmon walking over with the other two council members. "While I did agree in fighting for Shadow City, I still believe in the Exile. I am sorry, but humans attract too much danger. ... Yet if you need time to rest, we will not deny you a refuge for a short period of time."
"Man, we almost die for a city and they still won't let us back in? Politics suck even in the Digital World." Kari noted out loud as Terriermon nodded along.
"Henry, let's Biomerge again."
"Not now, Terriermon."
"Still," Dorulumon walked forward. "This... this is a good day in a long time. We fought. We Won! Perhaps we should celebrate! To the rebirth of Xros Heart!"
Everyone smiled and cheered at the idea of a party, including Ancient Troiamon.
"Waaahhhh!" Everyone turned to see Arshan crying his eyes out.
"Aww, come on, Arshan! Don't be sad! We won!" Stefania went over to try and comfort the teen.
"It's probably happy tears. I admit things were pretty bad there for a second," Marc folded his arms.
However, Arshan continued to cry. "G-Guys! Something's wrong! I-I feel SO SAD! It's so overwhelming! Is someone else feeling this!?"
Everyone perked up after hearing that. Tai recalled that Arshan was an empath. "What? Arshan, you're feeling someone else's sadness?"
Instead of answering, Arshan only cried more, cupping his face with his hands and falling to his knees. Coro went to his partner and patted his shoulder before looking past everyone.
"Hey, who's that?! He looks super tough! Why wasn't he in the fighting!?"
"Who?" Kari asked, a sudden feeling starting to stir and suffocate the once-light atmosphere.
Coro pointed in the direction no one else was looking. "That knight with the fire cape!"
"Knight?" Koji paled.
"With a?" Henry started to sweat.
"Fire... cape?" Tai and the others turned around, seeing a large Digimon in the distance walking towards them.
Yuma, Stefania, and Marc saw their Digivices light up to show the new Digimon.
"It's..." Marc's eyes widened. "Oh. OH FUCK!"
All their Digivices showed the name of a single Digimon:
Ragna Lordmon.
The Invincible King himself, walking as space distorted and glitched around him, spoke aloud.
"Xros Heart, surrender the Restorers."
