Sonic's house, South Island, Pacific Ocean

Our story begins with a young Sonic the Hedgehog waking up from his nap, he's been resting for most of the day after having a chat with SEGA's representatives and is excited about what's to come within a month's time.

However, the potbellied and dark brown eyed hedgehog doesn't think much about the future, little knowing of events that will soon play out in his life even as he climbs out of bed and goes to the kitchen to get a chili dog.

Sonic happily hums a sweet tune as he opens the fridge and finds a chili dog waiting for him, well preserved by the fridge's warmth. He munches down his favorite food and drinks some milk before going back to his room to look at himself in the mirror.

When the blue hero looks at the mirror, he notices something off, the mirror is dark and doesn't show his reflection. What in the world is going on? He thinks to himself, what a mystery that has just unfolded today.

Curious about why his mirror is different, Sonic taps the glass and it ripples. More curious than before, he pushes against the mirror and goes right through it, finding himself in a workshop he's never been to before.

"What the…?" Sonic questions, "Are you telling me that my mirror was a portal this whole time?" He keeps his voice down, fearing that he will attract the attention of somebody in the hose, its main occupant.

Noticing the wizard's hat sitting on a bench and looking at photos of a Japanese looking man in robes with the words Agyas Akan Ijuy, the blue blur pieces together he is definitely in a wizard's workshop and he, Sonic, might be a burglar.

He spots the table in the middle of the room with something on it and gets up on the chair to get a closer look, his eyes widening at the sight before him: The model of a new world with grass lands, suburbs, snowy mountains, futuristic cities and a dark castle.

The words on the piece of paper on the other side of the model read: The Land of Forgotten Dreams. There is a description that says, this world is where old friends thought to be forgotten live in or will live in one day.

Sonic takes notice to a paint brush close by and gets curious, one examination of the brush after he picks it up and the hedgehog realizes that the brush is a magic wand that looks like a brush. "Hmm, interesting!" He remarks.

Wanting to play with this artifact, the hedgehog waves the brush over the map and thinks hard about what comes to his mind, figuring how the brush works. In seconds, there is a blue light and something appears over the map: A Sonic sculpture!

"Eureka!" The hedgehog exclaims in a low tone, "I have made a masterpiece."

To Sonic's dismay, his statue suddenly starts to melt. Trying not to panic, he waves the paint brush again and in another flash of light, the statue stops melting. Sonic chuckles to himself, knowing he saved a cool masterpiece...

But then, something terrifying happens, the statue begins to morph and shift. Its eyes start to glow bright red and the whole statue eventually comes to life, transforming into a hideous, demonic beast made from goo and paint.

Sonic panics and gets into a defensive stance, even as the beast says in a terrifying voice that sounds gravely and half-megaphone like, "I am the Phantom Turbo Master, I thank you for giving me life."

The hedgehog attacks his foe, trying to conjure up stuff with the brush in an attempt to dispel the creature, but the Phantom Turbo Master laughs, "It will take a miracle to expel me from this world I shall mold into MY image!"

Desperate to defeat the creature, Sonic thinks up a spell and shouts, "BANASHUS LOFITICUS!" In seconds, paint and goo rain down across the room, hitting the table with the model on it, the model looks ruined but then it turns into a vortex.

The vortex starts to suck up a few stuff in the room from chairs to paintings, including the Phantom Turbo Master who protests angrily, vowing revenge as he's sucked into the worm hole before vanishing from sight. Things calm down, but the model is distorted.

"Oh man!" Sonic breaths, putting down the brush wand, "I better go before I get caught by the owner of the house."

Sonic races back to the mirror and jumps through. Not long after he has left, a robed, Japanese man descends the stairs and looks at the room, completely surprised.

"What has happened to my model?" Akan Ijuy exclaims, "Where are most of my chairs? WHO INVADED MY HOUSE? WHAT HAPPENED HERE WHILE I WAS SLEEPING JUST NOW AND WHAT WAS ALL THE DAMN COMMOTION?"

The sorcerer shrugs and begins to pick up any fallen chairs and examines his brush wand, knowing he may not find the answers for a very long time...

Back home, Sonic sits on his bed, thinking of what was going on. Was this all a dream? The hedgehog shrugged; it would be a long time before he had answers.

A month passes and on June 23rd, a Sunday, Sonic is signing autographs as people leave the store with SEGA Genesis consoles along with a game that has the blue hedgehog on the cover.

Several years pass and the hedgehog's popularity rises and falls and rises again, he's forgotten the incident. But then, one day…
