Olivia read over the letter, her eyes going wide. She looked up at a very worried Amanda who was pacing inside Liv's office, on the verge of tears.

"When did you find this?" Olivia asked sitting the letter down.

"Jessie found it just before Sonny left. Liv you don't really think he would do something, do you?" Amanda's voice cracked.

Olivia shrugged "He's been under a lot of stress with losing his sister and the case. I just would have never thought of Carisi writing a suicide note and possibly going through with it."

Amanda ran her fingers through her hair.

"We've have to find him. He was drunk when he left the apartment." Amanda worried.

Fin startled both women when he opened the door.

"I got something!" he announced.

"You found Carisi?" Amanda asked, her eyes lighting up.

"Even better! They just found the murder weapon. A guy was out walking his dog and found a knife behind a dumpster at the hotel." Fin explained.

"That's great!" Olivia sadly smiled "Rollins, you and Fin go pick it up. Check around the dumpster. We may be able to find Gina's cellphone as well."

Amanda leaned across the desk to where only Olivia could hear her.

"What about Carisi? Are we just supposed to forget about him being out somewhere drunk and suicidal?"

Olivia shook her head.

"No, I'm going to call him. He is probably upset with you right now and you are the last person he wants to talk to. I am going to try and get through to him." Olivia explained.

Amanda wasn't happy with that answer, but she knew where Olivia was coming from. She straightened up and went to find Fin so they could look for more evidence.

Carisi was standing on the bridge ready to jump when he heard his phone ring.

'No one cares. I just want this nightmare to end.' Sonny thought. 'I have to do this.'

His phone dinged. He knew someone had left a text message. Frustrated, he climbed back over the railing. He could at least answer the person one last time. He looked at the message and all the feelings he was trying to suppress coming back as he read the message from Olivia that said Carisi call me! We found the murder weapon.

Sonny took the bottle and smashed it on the bridge, cutting his hand. He collapsed onto the bridge and sobbed.

'If they found the murder weapon, then that meant one step closer to justice for Gina.' Sonny thought.

He tried to pull himself together. He wiped his eyes and called Olivia.

Amanda and Fin were knee deep in the dumpster at the hotel sifting through garbage to see if there were any clues to Gina Carisi's murder. Amanda popped quickly with something in her hand, and she grinned.

"I think I found something!" Amanda cheered.

Amanda held up the cell phone she had discovered.

"Let's bag it." Fin said as he handed Amanda a bag.

Olivia arrived shortly after. She had tried to get ahold of Sonny to no prevail. She walked over to the dumpster that her detectives were in.

"What have we got?" Olivia asked.

"We were able to find the murder weapon. It still has blood on it. We are sending it to CSU. Rollins just found a cellphone in the dumpster." Fin explained.

"Good!" Olivia smiled. "Fin, I want you to get the results from CSU."

Olivia was cut off by her phone ringing. She was hopefully that Sonny had gotten her message. When she saw his name on the screen, she let out a breath she didn't know she had been holding.

"Carisi, where are you?" Olivia asked.

Sonny leaned back against the railing of the bridge. He couldn't possibly tell Olivia where he really was.

"Hey Liv, I just needed to go out and get some fresh air. So, you found the murder weapon?" Sonny asked.

"Yeah. Why don't you tell me where you are, and I will come get you?" Olivia suggested. She knew that Sonny was leading her on. She was scared after reading his suicide note.

"Nah, that's okay Liv." Sonny replied. He didn't want Olivia to see him like this.

"Carisi, I know you're depressed. But we need you and your family needs you. Think of your mother. She's already lost your sister. You are her pride and joy. She would be devastated to lose you too." Olivia said, hoping that something would get through to Sonny to where he wouldn't take his own life.

Sonny wiped the tears from his eyes. He hadn't thought about his mother. Losing him would destroy her.

"I will meet you back at the precinct. Can you please not tell my parents anything until after I've seen the weapon for myself?" Sonny asked. He wanted to see what it was that took his baby sister away from his family. He always figured it would be drugs, never like this.

"Of course." Olivia responded before Sonny hung up.

Amanda got out of the trash can and walked over to Olivia after seeing she was on the phone.

"Was that Carisi?" Amanda asked, her eyes filling with tears.

Olivia nodded "Yeah…"

"Well, where is he? We need to get to him before he does something to himself." Amanda replied, trying to usher Olivia to the car.

"He wouldn't tell me where he was." Olivia said running a hand through her hair. "Only that he would meet me back at the precinct."

Sonny knew he had to get to the precinct. He would know what to do. He stood up and walked over to his SUV. He checked his phone. He pondered calling Amanda after seeing the many missed calls and texts from her. He knew she would more than likely be at the precinct and now he didn't want to deal with her. She had no right to say such horrible things about Gina. Sonny tossed his phone in the passenger's seat and started the engine. He still wasn't thinking straight. The alcohol didn't help any. He didn't think to put on his seatbelt, something he was always very adamant about when anyone rode with him. He considered turning on the radio to help him clear his head as he drove. He never saw the truck that was speeding in his lane. Sonny didn't know what hit him as his SUV went off the road and flipped several times before landing in a ditch.

Olivia sat at her desk waiting for Sonny to show up. She hadn't seen or heard from him since they last talked on the phone. That was well over 15 minutes again, she noted as she looked at her watch.

"Liv, I have a bad feeling about this. He had been drinking before he left. What if he was just putting you on? He never told you where he was." Amanda said as she paced.

"Just relax." Olivia said, trying to calm Amanda and herself down. "He might have been out on Staten Island and is trying to make his way back."

Fin walked in with a file, and he looked like he was on a mission.

"The lab was able to pull some texts off Gina's cellphone. Turns out she had been texting Velasco question on how to file a restraining order." Fin explained.

"Velasco? Why not just ask Carisi?" Amanda questioned.

"Because she was afraid of what Carisi would do. Turns out there was a guy that had been stalking her named Johnny. She wanted Velasco's advice but didn't want to go to the police." Fin answered, shaking his head.

Something clicked with Amanda. How could she have missed it all along?

Johnny? There was a Johnny that I met after the funeral. Bella and Theresa were just crazy about him. You would have thought he was a part of the family." Amanda ranted.

Olivia took off her glasses and thought for a moment.

"This might be the break in the case we have been needing. Have you gotten a hit on the fingerprints?" Olivia asked.

"The lab is still working to identify the prints on the phone and murder weapon. They ran them against Velasco's first and didn't get a hit." Fin smirked.

"That's comforting at least. He had been dating Gina. Maybe she was raped but not by Velasco after all." Olivia leaned back in her chair. This case kept getting complicated.

"Which would mean he had been telling us the truth." Fin pointed out.

Before Olivia could respond, he desk phone rang.

"Captain Benson." Olivia answered. Her detectives took the opportunity to talk to each other.

"Any sign of Carisi?" Fin whispered.

All Amanda could do was shake her head. She kept looking at her phone hoping and praying her would call or even text her.

"Okay, we will be right there." Olivia said and quickly hung up the phone, catching Fin and Amanda's attention.

"That was a uni. Carisi's been in an accident." Olivia said, trying hard to keep it together in front of her detectives.

"What? Where are they taking him?" Amanda asked. Her heart felt like it was going to jump out of her chest.

"Mercy General…" Olivia said. Before she could say any more, Amanda was running for the elevator.

She pressed the button several times, willing it to hurry and open. "Come on damn it!"

Olivia walked up behind Amanda and put her hand on her shoulder. Amanda turned and broke down into tears, crying on Olivia's shoulder.

"I can't lose him Liv. I love him." Amanda cried.

Olivia soothed Amanda's hair down. "I know." She managed to whisper.

The elevator dinged and then opened.

"Fin and I will drive you to the hospital." Olivia mentioned.

Amanda nodded her head as the three climbed onto the elevator.

Sonny was in and out of consciousness. He wasn't sure why his whole body hurt, but especially his head. The paramedics worked to get him out of the suv with the help of firefighters and get him on to a stretcher. They quickly put a c-collar on him and oxygen as another team was starting an I.V. and hooking him up to monitors. It was all Sonny could do to keep his eyes open. A paramedic recognized Sonny from back when Sonny was a detective.

"Stay with me counselor." The paramedic said as he squeezed Sonny's hand.

But the darkness crept over him, giving him a feeling of comfort as his whole body went numb. Had he been thinking straight he would know it wasn't good. But instead, he welcomed the darkness with open arms and closed his eyes.

"His vitals are dropping. We need to move now!" Another paramedic yelled over the chaos of the scene.

The paramedics were running to the ambulance with Sonny and loaded him in. Officers were trying to secure the scene and find out what happened. There was only one person standing around, and he saw the whole thing unfold.

"Sir did you see what happened?" Officer Margareta Simpson asked the witness.

The witness turned around and was shaking.

"Yeah, I did. I saw the silver SUV swerving like he was drunk and then he went off the side of the road and flipped it. When I first saw him it about made me sick."

Officer Simpson nodded as she took notes. "Understandable given the circumstances."

"I'm pretty sure the guy was drinking." The witness added.

Officer Simpson looked up from her notepad. She had been in Sonny's courtroom before and didn't peg him to drive drunk.

The witness nodded "Yeah. I saw some empty beer bottles in his floorboard when I went to check on him."

Officer Simpson closed her note pad and shook the witness's hand. "Thank you, you've been a big help."

Officer Simpson went to walk away, but the witness grabbed her arm.

"Tell me officer, do you think he's going to make it?" The witness asked with tears in his eyes.

Officer Simpson drew in a deep breath. She looked at the wrecked SUV. She then turned and realized the ambulance hadn't left yet. She noticed the paramedics were doing CPR on Sonny. She ducked her head and shook it.

"I've seen a lot of accidents and this one…this is one of the worst I've seen. If he makes it, it's because someone upstairs likes him." Officer Simpson said, trying to hold it together.

The witness thanked Officer Simpson before turned on his heels and walked back to his truck with a grin on his face.
