Fin, Amanda, and Olivia rush through the doors of the hospital. They scan the area, desperate for any sign of Sonny. Without a second thought, Amanda reached out and grabbed a nurse by the arm.

"Excuse me, we are looking for Dominick Carisi. He was brought in a little bit ago. He was involved in a car accident. Can you tell us anything?" Amanda pleaded.

The nurse looked at Amanda and the others sympathetically. "I'm sorry, I can't disclose any information without proper authorization." The nurse said. She could see the pain in Amanda's eyes. All Amanda wanted was to know if Sonny was still alive.

"If you will go to the waiting room, I'll see what I can find out." The nurse said before disappearing behind the emergency room doors. Fin and Olivia guide Amanda over to the uncomfortable chairs in the waiting room.

Minutes seemed like hours to Amanda.

"Why haven't we heard something?" Amanda asked, tears welling up in her eyes.

"Sometimes no news is good news." Olivia reminded her as she rubbed soothing circles on her back.

Fin returned from the hospital cafeteria with three cups of coffee. He knew it was going to be a long evening.

"Any word?" Fin asked.

Olivia shook her head "Not yet."

Amanda's hands tremble as she reaches into her pocket to find her phone.

"I-I need to call the his parents. They will be mad if they knew Sonny was in the hospital and no one let them know." Amanda says as her hands start to shake even more.

Olivia placed her hands on top of Amanda's.

"Amanda, you don't have to do this alone. let me make the call to Sonny's parents. You need to take a moment for yourself and breathe. Everything is going to be okay." Olivia says, wishing to herself that everything would be okay.

Amanda looked up at Olivia with tears welling up in her eyes.

"Thanks, Liv." Amanda nods, her voice trembling. "I appreciate it. I just...I don't know how to tell them."

"Just stay here and let me know if there are any updates." With that Liv walked out into the night air to make the phone call to the Carisi's.

Liv takes a deep breathe before she dials the number for Sonny's parents.

After a few rings, Sonny Carisi's father, Dominick Carisi Senior answers the phone.

Liv could hear the concern in his voice when he said hello. She knew she had to get through this phone call without crying, but she could feel the tears stinging her eyes.

"Mr. Carisi, I'm Captain Olivia Benson with the NYPD Special Victims Unit. I...I need to talk to you and your wife. It's about Sonny."

Dominick's voice tightened with worry.

"What happened? Is Sonny okay?" Dominick asked immediately alarmed.

Olivia struggled even harder to hold back the tears. "No, Mr. Carisi, he's been involved in a car accident. He's at Mercy General and the doctors are doing everything they can for him, but it's serious. I'm so sorry."

"Oh God. How bad is it? Can we see him?" Dominick's voice shook.

Olivia wiped her eyes "They haven't given us much information yet. But they said they'll update us soon. You and Mrs. Carisi should come to the hospital right away."

Dominick took a deep breath, trying to compose himself.

"Serafina and I will be there as soon as we can. I will let our girls know as well. Please, if you get to see Sonny, tell him we love him." Olivia could hear the heartbreak in Dominick's voice.

"I will, Mr. Carisi. And please drive safely. We will see you when you get here." Olivia her heart ached for the pain Sonny's parents must have been feeling. SHe wiped away her tears.

She ended the call and sat down on a bench. She placed her head in her hands and finally let out the tears she had been holding back.

Amanda sat in the waiting room, her eyes fixed on the emergency room doors. Fin gently placed a hand on her shoulder, offering some comfort.

"How are you holding up Rollins?" Fin said softly.

Amanda looked up at Fin, her eyes filled with worry. She took a deep breath, trying to steady herself.

"I don't know, Fin." She answered with tears in her eyes. "This wait is killing me. I just want to know if Sonny is going to be okay."

"We're all worried about him. But Sonny's a pretty tough dude." Fin said. "He's been through worse and come out stronger. We have to believe he'll pull through this."

Amanda nodded her head.

"You're right. It's just so hard to stay positive when it feels like everything is falling apart."

Fin squeezed Amanda's hand. "I get it. It's natural to feel scared and overwhelmed in a situation like this. But we can't let fear consume us. We need to stay strong for Sonny. And we have to stay strong for each other."

Amanda wiped away her tears.

"Thanks, Fin. It's just hard to imagine anything happening to Sonny. I don't know what I would do without him. The girl's absolutely adore him."

Liv walks back into the waiting room and sits down with Fin and Amanda.

"Serafina and Dominick are on their way. They said they would contact Bella and Theresa as well." Liv said.

"Thank you for calling them." Amanda says gratefully.

Suddenly, an Emergency Room Doctor rushes towards them, his face filled with urgency.

"I'm looking for the family of Dominick Carisi, Junior?" The doctor said looking at them.

Amanda stands up and Liv puts an arm around her.

"We're here for Sonny. How is he?" Amanda answers, her voice filled with concern.

The doctor takes a deep breath, trying to convey the gravity of the situation.

"I'm sorry to inform you that Mr. Carisi's condition is critical. He sustained some life threatening injuries. We need to rush him into emergency surgery right away. We need his emergency contact an Amanda Rollins to sign some consent forms." The doctor said.

"I'm Amanda Rollins." Amanda said taking the papers and rushing to sign them.

"Is he going to be okay? Can we see him before he goes back for surgery?" Liv asked, her voice trembling.

The doctor shook his head. "I understand your concern, but we can't allow you to go back there. Our team is already prepping him for surgery. If I were you...we need to prepare for the worst."

Amanda gasps, her hands covering her mouth in shock. Liv gripped Fin's hand tightly, her eyes welling up with tears.

"He's strong, he'll pull through, right?" Amanda's voice trembled.

The doctor tried to be as gentle as possible. "I advise you to call in any of Mr. Carisi's family members who should be here. I would have them get here as soon as possible."

"I've already called his parents and they are on their way." Olivia answered.

"So what are his chances of pulling the surgery?" Fin asked as he crossed his arms.

"I'll be honest with you. Mr. Carisi's injuries are severe and the chances of him making it through the surgery are currently estimated at around ten percent."

Amanda's eyes widen in shock.

"Only ten percent? But...but there must be something else that can be done, right?" Amanda asked as her voice trembled.

"We are taking every possible measure to give Mr. Carisi the best chance of survival. However, it's important to be prepared for the possibility that he may not make it." The doctor remained gentle with his tone.

Amanda grabbed onto Liv's hand for support.

"Is there any hope at all? Anything we can hold onto?" Amanda asked with tears streaming down her face.

"Hope is a powerful thing, and miracles do happen. But I must be clear that the odds are not in our favor." The doctor answered.

"Please, do everything you can for him." Olivia said as her voice quivered.

"We sure will. We will let you know updates throughout the surgery. In the meantime if you want to head upstairs to the surgical waiting room, it is on the third floor." The doctor said before rushing back into the emergency room with the paperwork.

Amanda felt the news hit her as the shock wore off. She collapsed into a chair and began to sob. "Sonny, don't leave me!"
