Chapter Eleven: Gaia Everfree
It was a beautiful Saturday in Paris. A young teenaged girl was currently taking care of some flowers. Her name was Rosa Collins. She had a tanned skin tone, along with round brown eyes, and brown hair tied into a ponytail. She wore a white rainbow t-shirt with a pink skirt, and beige Victorian boots. She has a daisy flower crown in her hair. She was happily humming. As she hummed, a shadow overtakes her.
"What are you doing?"
Rosa looks up and sees her twin sister, Lilith. She looked the same in skin tone, and eye colour, but her hair was waist-length and the bangs covered her left eye, revealing her right eye. She was wearing a black t-shirt with a white skull on it, black fishnet tights, a black skirt with chains, a pair of black boots, and a black leather jacket.
"I'm tending to our garden," Rosa replied.
"Seriously? Why would you even do that?!" Lilith demanded.
"You do know I like gardening," Rosa trembled.
"It's disgusting! We go to an elite private school! We're freaking rich! We have servants who can do the gardening for us!" Lilith let out.
"But I want to do it on my own!" Rosa protested.
"I DON'T CARE!" Lilith screamed. She stomped in Rosa's garden, until all the flowers were dead. "Now wash your hands, and get back inside! NOW! I don't want to be associated with someone who just loves to get their hands dirty!"
With that, Lilith stormed back inside, leaving Rosa in tears. "My beautiful garden...destroyed! Why does Lilith have to be so cruel to me?"
A mechanical whir broke the chamber's silence, and ghastly blue light was allowed into the circular room. The moment the light struck the white forms along the ground, the butterflies, now luminescent, took to the air. They filled the dim chamber as a cloud of beating wings, hovering around the figure in the center of the room. It would soon reveal Hawkmoth.
"A poor, unfortunate soul. Traumatized by her destroyed garden. She'll make the perfect akuma," he let out, letting a butterfly land on his hand. He would cover his hand, and turn the pure white butterfly into the black and purple akuma, before letting it fly out.
"Fly away, my evil little akuma, and help this poor gardener!" He let out an evil laugh as the akuma fluttered out into Paris to find its victim.
The akuma would soon flutter down to Rosa, absorbing itself into her flower crown.
Rosa would immediately look up, the area around her face becoming a darker shade of moderate vermilion. A light butterfly mask would also appear.
"Gaia Everfree, I am Hawkmoth. I'm granting you the power to control the plants, to control the beauty of nature. No one will be able to stop you. But in return, you must seize the Miraculouses of Ladybug, Cat Noir, Ocelot and Lionne."
"Sounds good to me, Hawkmoth," Rosa said darkly, letting the dark ether corrupt her. When it vanished, she would look completely different.
Rosa would now have mauve coloured skin. She would have ocean blue hair with a lighter shade for streaks that glow. Her eyes are black and has green circles instead of a pupil. Her eyes are covered with a magenta mask and her eyebrows turn blue. Her whole outfit has a forest-theme, and she wears bark-coloured gloves that reach her shoulders. Atop her head is a headband that resembles a twig with a few leaves, which is where the akuma was located. Her shoes became boots that look like wrapped bark around her leg and has a pointy end that end with green. The newest akuma smirked wickedly. She was no longer Rosa. Instead, she was Gaia Everfree.
"It's time for my pathetic sister to pay for what she did to my beautiful garden," Gaia Everfree let out darkly.
In their shared bedroom, Lilith was listening to her music, not giving a care. She didn't hear the door to the shared bedroom open. The akuma stopped the music, and Lilith spun around angrily.
"How dare you stop my-" Lilith was shocked seeing the villian. "ROSA?!"
"Rosa's not here anymore, I'm Gaia Everfree! Newsflash, it's time for you to appreciate the beauty of nature!" Gaia Everfree roars, trapping her twin sister in a cage made from vines.
"Let me go you plant freak, I demand you!" Lilith shouted.
"I don't take orders from you anymore!" Gaia Everfree laughed evilly. She covers the cage, and brought it to the heart of Paris.
Lilith was struggling, when suddenly, vines from inside the cage grabbed her to restrain her.
"Hey, what the hell?!" Lilith demanded, trying to break free. But she couldn't. The vines would soon let out a strange green mist, which would get Lilith to become very sleepy.
The green mist would travel outside of the vine-like cage, going around Gaia Everfree.
"What the hell is this?!" she demanded.
The butterfly outline appeared around her eyes again.
"A little something to help you get more power. More stronger with your vines," Hawkmoth replied.
"Oh, that's perfect," Gaia Everfree gave a dark grin, as the butterfly outline around her eyes vanished. A green electricity surrounded her hands, as she made more vines grow. "JUST PERFECT! MWAHAH-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!"
"It won't be long before Ladybug, Cat Noir, Lionne, and Ocelot show up to meet their doom," Hawkmoth smirked, before letting out an evil laugh.
Juliette would notice the vines, and ran to hide. "This is crazy!"
"Tell me about it," Leena replied, as she came out of her hiding spot. "But now you've got to transform!"
"You're right! Leena, Let's Roar!"
Leena would be absorbed into the barrette, which turned gold, and looked like a lion's paw. Juliette's eyes turned hazel, and became cat-like, and her platinum blonde hair was taken out of its braid, turning auburn, and becoming straight. Her clothes would be soon be replaced with a sleeveless golden and strapless dress that reached to her knees, and golden arm-length gloves with black claws on them. She also had long black boots, that had a golden lion logo on the back of each boot. A golden belt would be wrapped around her waist, and it had a long, lion tail attached to it. There were two holsters on her dress; each of them contained a dagger. Finally, a golden superhero mask would appear over her face. She would pose once her transformation was complete.
Adrien ran to hide from the vines. Once he was in a safe place, he would transform. "Plagg, Claws Out!" Plagg would be absorbed into the ring, as the ring turned black, and gain a green paw print on its face. He has cat eyes with green sclerae, dark green irises, and oval pupils. His hair becomes longer and untamed, and it covers his normal ears. Cat Noir wears a textured black skin-tight catsuit with metal details. He wears matching gloves that have claws on the fingertips and boots with a hidden wedge, silver toes, and paw-shaped treads. He has a golden bell on his neck, connected to a zipper on the front of his costume, and a long belt that wraps around his waist and hangs out from the back like a tail. He wears black cat ears and a black mask around his eyes. He'd pose after his transformation was complete, and used his staff to follow the vines.
Marinette ran to find a spot to hide from the vines. "Looks like we need the luck of Ladybug!" She ran behind a dumpster. "Tikki, Spots On!" She would transform into her alter-ego; wearing wearing a red superhero jumpsuit covered in black spots and with a black collar/turtleneck. Her yo-yo was wrapped around her waist with a red string. On her face is a red mask with five black spots that are in a symmetrical design, and the waterlines of her eyes are coloured black. Her earrings are red with five black spots in a quincunx pattern, and the bands holding her hair back become red ribbons, resembling a ladybug's antennas or a ladybug flying when she's moving. Her eyes became a vivid azure. She'd pose, and then use her yo-yo to make it to the scene; following the vines.
"Today's crazy," Roland sighed. "Why did these vines show up out of nowhere?"
"An akuma," Occa replied.
"Right. Occa, Streaks On!" Roland declared; as Occa was absorbed into the silver oval hair clip: which turns black and the inside turns a golden yellow. It has 5 rosettes inside.
Roland soon wore a golden yellow suit with large streak spots on the arms, torso, back, and legs that have a thick black outline and are light yellow in the middle. He has a light yellow middle section down his middle that goes slightly down his thighs before curving under him and partly up his butt. Around his waist is a belt-like structure that holds a long tail that is golden yellow with black spots. His tail is very heavy and usually used for leverage, but can be removed to wield like a flail. He wore tall boots that point up to his knees with a black heel and a light metallic yellow toe that are fashioned like paws.
The sole of his boots also have paws on the bottom. His collar is black and goes up his neck; though it comes down in the middle with a diamond shape around the middle of his collar bone. His mask is heavily marked like an ocelot's face with black and white markings on golden yellow. His eyes gain a blue sclera and turn to slits like a cat's do. He has fake ocelot ears including oceli on the back of them. His hair also gets long and shaggier, the longest parts on both sides of his head gain a golden yellow ombre at the ends. He has gauntlets with heavily armored fingers joints and knuckles that end with sharp claws at the ends. He would pose at the end of his transformation.
The four heroes met on a roof.
"So, I wonder what got Poison Ivy's pants into a twist?" Cat Noir asked.
"I don't know, but we've got to figure this out," Lionne said.
Gaia Everfree noticed the four heroes. "Well, well, well. If it isn't the pathetic heroes of Paris."
"Why are you doing this?!" Ladybug demanded.
"My pathetic twin sister wants to get rid of my garden! Lilith thinks that someone rich doesn't deserve to get their hands dirty! She says we have servants! But I want to do my garden myself! Lilith didn't care! She stomped all over my garden! Destroying my beautiful flowers!" Gaia Everfree let out with a growl. "But I'll show her, and everyone who hates gardens how I feel!" Green energy crackled from her hands, as vines started appearing, going after the heroes.
Cat Noir would use his staff to hold off the vines. "We need a plan, and fast, m'lady!"
"Don't call me that!" Ladybug shouted, annoyed.
"As much as it's fun to see you argue, we need to stop Gaia Everfree before she turns Paris into her gardens," Ocelot let out dryly.
"You're right, Ocelot! Lucky Charm!" Ladybug threw her yo-yo into the air. Magical ladybugs would surround the yo-yo, before an item would drop into her hand.
"Pruning shears?" Ladybug was confused. She looked around, and noticed the vine-like cages.
"I've got it. If we cut the vines, we can anger her, and then Cat Noir can destroy her akuma!"
"But where's the akuma located?" Lionne asked.
Ocelot took a look at Gaia Everfree. "I think it's that bark headband."
"Then let's start taking Poison Ivy down!" Cat Noir declared.
"My name isn't Poison Ivy, it's GAIA EVERFREE!" the villainess roared, launching more vines at the heroes, who managed to dodge.
Ladybug would start cutting some of the vines, freeing some of the civilians.
"No, stop!" Gaia Everfree growled. "Don't do that!"
"Cover your ears guys!" Lionne shouted. "MIGHTY ROAR!"
The heroes and civilians were able to cover their ears while Lionne let out her roar. Gaia Everfree was unable too, and it really hurt.
"CATACLYSM!" Cat Noir shouted, activating his power. He managed to jump up some of the vines towards where Gaia Everfree was, and touched the bark headband. It crumbled into dust, and the akuma butterfly fluttered out, trying to escape.
"No more evildoing for you, little akuma," Ladybug began, swiping her finger across her yo-yo to open it. She would drop it down, and spin it behind her for a moment. "TIME TO DE-EVILIZE!" She threw the open yo-yo at the akuma, capturing it. "Gotcha!"
She turns around and taps her yo-yo to open it, to release the now purified butterfly. "Bye bye little butterfly."
Ladybug would take the gardening shears, and throw them up into the air. "MIRACULOUS LADYBUG!"
Magical ladybugs would go around Paris, fixing all the damage that Gaia Everfree did, including removing all of the vines and flowers she grew too. The magic would also go around Gaia Everfree, as the dark ether covers her, changing her back into Rosa.
"What happened?" Rosa asked.
"POUND IT!" the four declared, fist bumping.
Under the fluttering wingbeats, Hawkmoth growled and his cane creaked under the pressure of his grip. He clasped a hand over his brooch, and his voice rumbled against the metal walls, "Curse you, Ladybug. Your luck won't last forever." He then shouted to the window, as the metal shutters began to close, "I shall have your Miraculous one day!"
Rosa would be drinking some lemonade, watching as Lilith was repairing her garden. It was the punishment for the mean girl. "This is what you get for ruining my garden, Lilith!"
Lilith whined. "Oh come on, why can't I stop now? I'm sweaty, and tired!"
"Not until you repair all of my garden," Rosa replied. "You know that's your punishment!"
"I hate you!" Lilith shouted.
Rosa giggled as she drank more of her lemonade.
Next time on Miraculous: Tales of Lionne and Ocelot...
"You don't understand, Mitchell! Poetry is my life!" Jasmine teared up. "What good am I if I cannot do it for the rest of my life?"
"Princess, please," Mitchell frowned, hugging his girlfriend. "I'll always support you."
"But I've always loved poetry! Ever since I was a little girl!" Jasmine sobbed.
"Inkheart, I am Hawk Moth, and I grant you the power to manipulate ink from pens. You can turn people into statues as well," Hawk Moth communicated with the girl after the akuma butterfly absorbed itself into her pen.
"Princess, don't listen to him!" Mitchell begged.
"Sounds good to me, Hawk Moth," Jasmine grinned darkly, beginning her transformation into a villain. When the dark ether faded, she would be black from head to toe. The only thing that wasn't black was her hair, which was rainbow, and tied up into a ponytail. Mitchell was in fear, before getting a determined look in his eyes.
"Jasmine, I'll save you, no matter what!" he shouted, before running off to hide.
"Mitchell Wright, here is the Miraculous of the Spider, which grants the power of Toxic Web," Ladybug said, holding out the box to him. "You will use it for the greater good."
