Chapter Sixteen: Goldenheart
It was quite a normal day at De Sauveterre Academy. The students were talking, and laughing with one another. Jacqueline would be with Juliette and Rochelle, along with a few friends: Juliette with Renée and Roland; Jacqueline with Élise, Brigitte, and Geneviève; and finally, Rochelle with Nicolette and Thérèse. All of them were dressed in their school uniforms.
"Any news yet?" Thérèse asked.
"About what?" Jacqueline looked at the young girl.
"Your graduation, duh!" Nicolette smiled. "Your father must be pulling some strings for some sort of concert!"
"But first, we can't forget about prom! Thank goodness all students can go," Renée smiled.
"I know, it's going to be so amazing!" Brigitte gushed. "We all need the perfect dresses!"
"Don't forget about hot dates!" Geneviève smiled.
"Don't you already have one?" Renée looked at Geneviève.
"Yeah, Antoine asked me over the weekend," Geneviève replied.
"That's so sweet!" Élise smiled. "Bastien asked me last night, and I said yes!"
"Élise, we're so happy for you!" Brigitte smiled. "I just know you and Bastien will get engaged after high school!"
"It's still too early!" Élise blushed.
"Christophe has also asked me to prom!" Brigitte let out.
"Marcel asked me!" Nicolette grinned.
"Philippe also asked me, and I said totally!" Thérèse exclaimed happily.
"I might go stag. I don't need a date when I have my friends by my side," Renée said.
"It's your choice, and we'll respect it," Juliette smiled at her friend.
"What about you and Roland?" Geneviève asked.
Juliette looked at Roland, who blushed. "Um, do you want to go to prom?" he asked.
"I'd love to," Juliette smiled, as their friends cheered for them.
"I really hope that François asks me out!" Jacqueline sighed dreamily.
"He's like, the hottest student ever!" Rochelle smiled. "Meanwhile, I've been getting as many retweets as possible to go to prom with famous actor, Miguel Alejandro Muñoz!"
"How many retweets did you need again?" Juliette asked, looking at her sister.
"I need 30K, and I'm already at 28.5K," Rochelle said.
"Wow, you're so close!" Jacqueline smiled at her sister.
Rochelle's phone would buzz, and she looked at it. A squeal would soon come out of her mouth. "I did it! I got 30K retweets!"
"Congratulations!" everyone cheered.
Rochelle's phone would ring, and she would answer it. "Hello?"
"Good morning, is this Rochelle De Sauveterre?" a male voice asked.
"Yes it is. May I ask who is calling?" Rochelle asked.
"This is Luis Rodriguez, Miguel's manager. He's heard that you got the required amount of retweets, and would be honoured to take you to your prom," the male voice continued.
"Yes, I know! I'm so excited!" Rochelle smiled.
"Mr. Muñoz is also excited, and is prepping his suit for the event," Luis continued.
"I look forward to going to prom with him!" Rochelle exclaimed.
"Please email your address to me as soon as possible, so that I can have it saved for Mr. Muñoz. We don't want him getting lost finding your house, right?" Luis asked.
"Yes, sir, of course. Thank you!" Rochelle smiled, as she ended the call. She would soon look up the email for Luis Rodriguez, the assistant to her favourite movie star, and sent him her address.
"Rochelle, we're so happy for you," Juliette smiled at her younger sister.
"Thanks, sis," Rochelle smiled.
"We so need to go shopping for our dresses! When are you all free?" Juliette glanced at the girls.
"How about this weekend? Prom is in two weeks," Jacqueline looked at her phone.
The girls would all agree.
"Perfect! We'll go to the best boutique around, and we'll help pay for your dresses," Jacqueline said.
"Jacqueline, really, you don't have to do this," Renée said.
"I want to. And I'm not going to force you to pay us back," Jacqueline insisted with a smile.
"You're too kind," Renée smiled.
"Oh, I can't wait to pick out dresses! And do our nails, and hair, and makeup! We'll be the most beautiful girls at prom, that's for sure!" Juliette's eyes had stars in them.
They all laughed, but it fell silent when Derek Stonewall and his two cronies would show up. He smirked flirtatiously at Jacqueline. "Hey, babe."
"Drop dead, Stonewall," Jacqueline scowled.
"Oh, come on, why do you have to be this way?" Derek pouted.
"It's because you are so freaking spoiled, and can't take no for an answer," Juliette deadpanned.
"You said it, sister," Jacqueline grinned.
Derek scowled. "Whatever. I think you should go to prom with me, Jacqueline," he said.
"And why would I do that? You already know that François Cadieux is planning on asking me," Jacqueline huffed.
"That loser? Does he really know that I'm better than him?" Derek got angry.
"How dare you say that about François! He's much hotter than you!" Jacqueline got furious.
"Oh, what would happen if I posted something our our school's social network?" Derek smirked.
"What the hell are you talking about, Stonewall?!" Jacqueline demand.
The mean boy laughed. "Only this," he said, showing them a clearly photoshopped photo of Jacqueline being drunk, along with the caption: 'Queen B drunk? What has the world come to? #lol #loser #imthebest'
Jacqueline was livid. "I don't even drink!"
"But nobody knows that," Derek sneered. "So you have two choices, sweetheart. Either you go to prom with me, or I post the photo. You have until the end of the weekend to make your decision." He would then saunter off, laughing wickedly.
Jacqueline was in tears, running off.
"I can't believe that wretched boy!" Juliette scowled. "Come on, we need to go and make sure she's okay," she said, looking at her sister, Rochelle.
"Please let us know if she's okay," Jacqueline's friend, Brigitte let out.
"Of course we will," Juliette nodded, as she and Rochelle headed off.
A mechanical whir broke the chamber's silence, and ghastly blue light was allowed into the circular room. The moment the light struck the white forms along the ground, the butterflies, now luminescent, took to the air. They filled the dim chamber as a cloud of beating wings, hovering around the figure in the center of the room. It would soon reveal Hawk Moth.
"Now this is quite interesting. The negative emotions in this young lady are rising, and she'll make the perfect akuma. Oh, I just know that she'll be the perfect fit to get those Miraculouses for me," the villain let out, as he held out his hand for a butterfly to land on it. Once it did, he would corrupt it with his dark power, turning it into an akuma, before letting it go out the window.
"Fly away, my evil little akuma, and evilise her!" Hawk Moth twirled his cane, before letting it stomp on the floor for a bit.
The akuma would fly out into Paris, searching for its victim.
Jacqueline sniffled, and sobbed as she was clearly upset. The akuma would flutter down to her, and absorb itself into the rose gold hair clip. Jacqueline's face would darken, the area around her face becoming a darker shade of moderate vermilion. A light butterfly mask would also appear.
"Goldenheart, I am Hawk Moth. From now on, whoever you touch will turn into a zombie, under your complete control. No one will stand in your way ever again. In return, I only want one thing," Hawk Moth communicated with Jacqueline telepathically.
"I already know what you want. Ladybug, Cat Noir, Lionne, and Ocelot's Miraculouses," Jacqueline spoke up, smirking.
"That's right, what a clever girl you are. So, do we have a deal?" Hawk Moth asked.
"Yes, Hawk Moth," Jacqueline nodded.
The butterfly outline would disappear, and dark purple ether would cover Jacqueline, starting from the hair clip. When it faded, Jacqueline looked completely different. Her skin tone was pure gold, and so were her eyes. Her hair turned gold, and it became a half-up-do with a braided headband. She wore a long, golden dress, with golden gloves, and long golden boots. The rose gold hair clip was changed into a golden crown. She would smirk wickedly.
"It's time for Derek Stonewall to pay!" Goldenheart laughed.
Hawk Moth laughed wickedly. "It won't be long before Ladybug, Cat Noir, Lionne, and Ocelot show up, and meet their doom!"
Rochelle and Juliette were looking around for their older sister, when they suddenly saw someone dressed head-to-toe in gold stalk the school. Their eyes widened when they saw the face of the akuma.
"Hide!" Juliette said to Rochelle.
"Is that...Jacqueline?!" Rochelle was wide-eyed.
"Oh no, poor Jacqueline," Juliette frowned.
"We need to warn everyone," Rochelle said.
"You go ahead, I need to set off the akuma alert," Juliette said, pulling out her phone.
"Are you sure?" Rochelle asked.
"I am," Juliette nodded.
"Okay. Just please be careful," Rochelle begged, before leaving.
As soon as the door closed, Juliette would activate the akuma alert, and put her phone away.
"Okay, Leena, time to get to work," she said in a hushed voice.
Leena would come out of her hiding spot. "You're going to have to fight your older sister!"
"Nope, I'm going to have to save my older sister," Juliette said determined. "Leena, LET'S ROAR!"
Leena would be absorbed into the barrette, which turned gold, and looked like a lion's paw. Juliette's eyes turned hazel, and became cat-like, and her platinum blonde hair was taken out of its braid, turning auburn, and becoming straight. Her clothes would be soon be replaced with a sleeveless golden and strapless dress that reached to her knees, and golden arm-length gloves with black claws on them. She also had long black boots, that had a golden lion logo on the back of each boot. A golden belt would be wrapped around her waist, and it had a long, lion tail attached to it. There were two holsters on her dress; each of them contained a dagger. Finally, a golden superhero mask would appear over her face. She would pose once her transformation was complete.
Roland heard the akuma alert go off. "Uh oh..."
"What's wrong?" Élise asked.
"I think we need to go and hide," Roland began.
"Why? What's the matter?" Geneviève was worried.
Roland was about to speak up, when Rochelle ran up to them. "Guys! I think Jacqueline's been akumatized!"
"Oh no!" Geneviève gasped.
"Poor Jacqueline!" Brigitte let out.
"We need to hide, now!" Rochelle exclaimed.
Everyone would take off, and Roland would run to hide in his locker. It was a tight fit, but he had no other choice. "Occa, streaks on!" he declared, as Occa is absorbed into the silver oval hair clip: which turns black and the inside turns a golden yellow. It has 5 rosettes inside.
Roland soon wore a golden yellow suit with large streak spots on the arms, torso, back, and legs that have a thick black outline and are light yellow in the middle. He has a light yellow middle section down his middle that goes slightly down his thighs before curving under him and partly up his butt. Around his waist is a belt-like structure that holds a long tail that is golden yellow with black spots. His tail is very heavy and usually used for leverage, but can be removed to wield like a flail. He wore tall boots that point up to his knees with a black heel and a light metallic yellow toe that are fashioned like paws.
The sole of his boots also have paws on the bottom. His collar is black and goes up his neck; though it comes down in the middle with a diamond shape around the middle of his collar bone. His mask is heavily marked like an ocelot's face with black and white markings on golden yellow. His eyes gain a blue sclera and turn to slits like a cat's do. He has fake ocelot ears including oceli on the back of them. His hair also gets long and shaggier, the longest parts on both sides of his head gain a golden yellow ombre at the ends. He has gauntlets with heavily armored fingers joints and knuckles that end with sharp claws at the ends. He would pose at the end of his transformation.
The akuma alert would go off at Collège Françoise Dupont. Alya took a look. "Oh no, there's an akuma attack at the DeSauveterre Academy!" she let out.
"What?" Marinette gasped. "Is there any details?" she asked, as she ran with Alya after they were dismissed because of it.
"Apparently, the akuma goes by the name 'Goldenheart.' Seriously, Hawk Moth needs to get better with coming up with names," Alya said.
"Goldenheart?" Marinette questioned, confused.
As Alya was about to respond, Marinette's phone would ring. She would pick it up.
"Hello?" Marinette asked.
"Is this Marinette's number?" a female voice asked.
"Yes, it is. May I ask who is calling?" Marinette asked.
"My name is Rochelle, and I'm Juliette's sister. I know who the akuma is," Rochelle said in a hushed voice.
"You do? Who?" Marinette was wide-eyed.
"It's my big sister, Jacqueline. Apparently, our school's mean student, Derek Stonewall, tried to threaten her into a relationship, and she just snapped," Rochelle continued in a hushed voice.
"Oh no! Get somewhere safe, and Ladybug, Cat Noir, Lionne, and Ocelot will deal with the akuma," Marinette reassured her.
"I will, thank you, Marinette," Rochelle said in a hushed voice before hanging up.
"Well, that doesn't sound good," Alya said. "We'd better go hide."
"Agreed, don't come out until Ladybug does her Miraculous Cure," Marinette said, as the two best friends ran off to hide. She would hide in an alleyway, and let Tikki out of her purse. "The coast is clear, Tikki. Time to transform! Tikki, Spots ON!" Marinette declared, transforming into her alter-ego: wearing a red superhero jumpsuit covered in black spots and with a black collar/turtleneck. Her yo-yo was wrapped around her waist with a red string. On her face is a red mask with five black spots that are in a symmetrical design, and the waterlines of her eyes are coloured black. Her earrings are red with five black spots in a quincunx pattern, and the bands holding her hair back become red ribbons, resembling a ladybug's antennas or a ladybug flying when she's moving. Her eyes became a vivid azure. She would pose at the end of her transformation.
Adrien would hide in another alleyway, letting Plagg out of his jacket. "Time to transform, Plagg," he said.
"Aw man, but I haven't finished my Camembert!" Plagg complained.
"Plagg, Claws Out!" Adrien let out, as his ring would turn black, and gain a green paw print on its face. He has cat eyes with green sclerae, dark green irises, and oval pupils. His hair becomes longer and untamed, and it covers his normal ears. Cat Noir wears a textured black skin-tight catsuit with metal details. He wears matching gloves that have claws on the fingertips and boots with a hidden wedge, silver toes, and paw-shaped treads. He has a golden bell on his neck, connected to a zipper on the front of his costume, and a long belt that wraps around his waist and hangs out from the back like a tail. He wears black cat ears and a black mask around his eyes. He'd pose at the end of his transformation.
The four heroes would soon meet up on the rooftop of the De Sauveterre Academy.
"Any sign of the akuma?" Cat Noir asked.
"No, not yet," Ocelot sighed. "This is bad."
"Don't worry, Ocelot, we'll figure out what's going on," Lionne gave him a reassuring smile.
"Oh, thanks," Ocelot would give a reassuring smile.
"Hey, look!" Ladybug shouted, seeing people, head to toe in gold, with blank looks on their faces, and walking like zombies, following after another golden figure. That figure smirked.
"Now, my slaves, go and find that wicked Derek, and bring him to me!" Goldenheart demanded.
"As you command, Goldenheart," the zombies moaned in unison. They would then shuffle back into the school, to find Derek. Goldenheart had gotten most of the De Sauveterre students, which included the rest of The Femme Fatales; Renée, Élise, Brigitte, Geneviève, Nicolette and Thérèse!
"Oh no, this is terrible!" Lionne let out sadly.
"Lionne, stay focused!" Ladybug let out.
"Right, sorry, Ladybug," Lionne nodded.
"Where could the akuma be located?" Cat Noir asked.
"I don't know, everything about her is gold!" Ocelot exclaimed.
Suddenly, Goldenheart would spot them! "So, you lame heroes are here to stop me from getting my revenge?" she asked with a taunt. "I don't think so!"
"Goldenheart, please, you need to stop!" Lionne begged. "This isn't like you!"
"This is the new me, you pathetic cat. Now, if you don't want to become part of my army, you and your lame sidekicks will hand over your Miraculouses!" Goldenheart demanded.
"We'll never join you," Cat Noir shouted.
"Plus, we're NOT sidekicks," Ocelot frowned.
"Jacqueline!" a male voice let out, with a French accent. It was a fellow student, who had managed to avoid being touched by Goldenheart. He wore the school uniform: a white button-up shirt, with navy blue pants, short white socks, and navy blue dress shoes. He wore a light blue school sweater; it has the school logo; which is a fleur de lys, in yellow; and 'DeSauveterre Academy' written in gold under it. The background for the logo is white. In addition, he also wore a navy blue tie. This was apparently François Cadieux, the nicest, popular male student in the school. He had short, dark brown hair, and dark blue eyes.
"Jacqueline's no longer here, François Cadieux! I'm Goldenheart!" the akuma roared.
"Mister, you've got to get out of here, before she turns you into a zombie!" Ladybug exclaimed.
"But I can help!" François let out. "I know where that demonic butterfly is!"
"You do? Where?" Lionne asked.
"It has to be the crown," François replied. He would take a picture out of him and Jacqueline. "It's actually supposed to be a rose gold hair clip. I gave it to her one day."
"Get to safety then," Ladybug nodded, as François would run and hide. "So we've got to aim for the crown. But it's probably going to be very difficult."
A sharp, demanding voice would soon be heard. It was Derek, along with his cronies, being dragged to Goldenheart by the zombies.
"You're so going to pay for my dry cleaning," Derek scowled.
Goldenheart laughed wickedly. "You don't deserve it," she said.
"What the? Who are you?!" Derek demanded.
"The student you tried to humiliate!" Goldenheart glared at him.
Derek scoffed. "Oh, please, I humiliate too many students to keep track of."
Goldenheart growled. "Tie him up," she ordered her zombies, before approaching the two cronies: Donovan and Zoltan, before touching them. Almost immediately, they would turn into golden zombies.
"We obey only you, Goldenheart," the two men droned in unison.
"Um, hello? Give me back my friends!" Derek demanded, as he was being tied up with ropes.
"They belong to me now, Stonewall," Goldenheart said smugly.
"Uh, rude. My friends belong to me, and me alone. They don't belong to anyone else!" Derek yelled, thrashing.
Goldenheart would stuff a piece of cloth into Derek's mouth, cutting off his screams. The spoiled boy would start letting out muffled curses.
"I can't believe I'm saying this but," Lionne sighed. "We need to save Derek."
Ocelot sighed as well. "As much as I want him to suffer, you're right."
Ladybug looked at Ocelot and Lionne. "Now you see why we sometimes have to save Chloé," she mentioned.
"Well, at least we have one thing in common: we both have spoiled brats who can't seem to take no for an answer," Lionne said.
"Well, I think now we're going to need a bit of luck. LUCKY CHARM!" Ladybug shouted, throwing her yo-yo into the air. Magical ladybugs would surround the yo-yo, before an item would drop into her hand. "A tea pot?"
"What are we supposed to do with a tea pot?" Lionne asked.
"Actually, I think it means we might need some help," Ladybug said. She glanced at Lionne. "Want to come with me?"
"You know it," Lionne smiled.
The two would make their way to Master Fu, who considered the situation. "I see, and the Lucky Charm never lies."
He would take out the Miraculouses boxes, and had the two heroes pick one of the Miraculouses. Lionne would notice the Cheetah Cuff Bracelet. She would pick it up, and Ladybug would nod.
"I know exactly who I'll give this too," Lionne said.
"Great! I'll go and quickly recharge, and once you get our ally, meet back at the academy," Ladybug said.
"Will do," Lionne nodded.
François Cadieux was still hiding, worried about Jacqueline. He truly did have a crush on her, and wanted to ask her to prom. He heard footsteps, and stiffened, wondering if one of Goldenheart's zombies had found him. To his relief, it wasn't. It was Lionne.
"Hey, you know the akuma, right?" Lionne asked him.
"I do. She's the girl of my dreams," François replied.
"And you want to save her?" Lionne asked.
"Of course I do, Lionne! I love Jacqueline!" François replied.
"Then here is the Miraculous of the Cheetah, which grants the power of Super Dash. You will use it for the greater good," Lionne began, handing him the cuff bracelet.
François's eyes widened at this.
"Once the mission is complete, you will return the Miraculous to either me, or Ladybug. Can I trust you?" Lionne asked.
"Absolutely," François nodded, taking the cuff bracelet.
A yellow light would soon appear from the bracelet, and François would cover his eyes, so that he wouldn't be blinded. When the light faded, a tiny cheetah-like creature would appear.
"Hi, the name's Spotts!" the Kwami grinned. "I'm your Kwami!"
"Kwami?" François asked, confused.
"Yup! I grant you superpowers! Yours is Super Dash, and it'll allow you to use super speed to distract the akuma," Spotts continued. "All you have to say is: 'Spotts, Let's Dash!' Ready?"
"I was born ready!" François grinned, putting on the cuff bracelet, making it camouflage. "Spotts, Let's Dash!"
Spotts would be absorbed into the cuff bracelet, and François would soon undergo his transformation into a superhero. He would wear a cheetah-inspired bodysuit, with a cheetah inspired mask. His hair would become shoulder-length, and tied into a small ponytail, and he had cheetah inspired boots on his feet. His weapon was like one of those metallic claws. He would pose after his transformation.
"I look so cool!" the transformed François let out.
"You need a name now," Lionne said.
"Uh, I guess I'll just go with Guépard," François, no, Guépard let out.
"That'll do, come on, let's go," Lionne said, as the cheetah hero would follow after her.
Back at the akuma attack, Goldenheart would be fighting against Cat Noir, Ocelot, and a newly recharged Ladybug with her golden zombies. Soon, Lionne would arrive with Guépard.
"Hey guys, meet Guépard," Lionne introduced.
"Nice to meet you, welcome to the team," Ladybug said.
"It's an honour, Ladybug. I won't let you down," Guépard swore, bowing his head.
"Alright, we need to find out how we can destroy the object where the akuma is located. Any ideas?" Ladybug asked.
"Perhaps we can use some luck," Guépard suggested.
"LUCKY CHARM!" Ladybug shouted, throwing her yo-yo into the air. Magical ladybugs would surround it, before an item dropped into her hand.
"A saddle?"
"Hey, we can use it to trip up Goldenheart," Ocelot mentioned.
"And the rest of us can use our powers to distract the zombies, so that Cat Noir can use his Cataclysm to destroy the crown!" Lionne said.
"That's a perfect idea!" Ladybug said.
"We'll deal with the zombies," Lionne said, as she and Ocelot would go and deal with the golden zombies.
"I'll use my power to dash around Goldenheart, so I can get her crown," Guépard said.
"KINESIS!" Ocelot shouted. A fiery power engulfed the gauntlets on Ocelot, as he charged forward with a punch, knocking down the zombies.
"Nice one, Ocelot," Lionne grinned. "Now time for me. You know the drill."
"Always, my sweet lioness," Ocelot covered his ears.
Ladybug and Cat Noir would also cover their ears, motioning to Guépard to do the same. So, Guépard would cover his ears.
"MIGHTY ROAR!" Lionne roared. This would cause Goldenheart and the golden zombies to become temporarily deaf.
"Do your thing, Guépard!" Lionne grinned.
"Right! SUPER DASH!" Guépard shouted. He would soon be engulfed in a fiery energy, and began running; faster than the speed of light; like the Flash.
As he dashed around a confused Goldenheart, he would manage to grab the crown on top of her head.
"MY CROWN! GIVE THAT BACK!" Goldenheart shouted.
"Nope, sorry," Guépard said, slowing down, and throwing the crown to Cat Noir.
Cat Noir would jump up into the air. "CATACLYSM!" he shouted, activating his destructive power. As soon as it charged up, he would touch the crown, which turned black, and shattered into a million pieces. The akuma butterfly flew out of the broken crown, trying to escape.
"No more evildoing for you, little akuma," Ladybug began, as she opened up her yo-yo, spinning it around. "time to DEEVILZE!"
The akuma tried to flutter away, but it was no match for Ladybug's yo-yo, which closed upon capturing the akuma.
"Gotcha! Bye bye, little butterfly," Ladybug said, as she released the now purified butterfly.
She would then pick up the saddle. "MIRACULOUS LADYBUG!" she shouted, throwing the saddle into the air. As she did, it would turn into magical ladybugs, which went around Paris, fixing the damage that Goldenheart had done. It would turn the golden zombies back to normal, and untie Derek, who spat out the piece of cloth that was in his mouth. The magical ladybugs would soon pass by Goldenheart, as the dark ether went over her, changing her back to Jacqueline; and the broken crown turned back into the rose gold hair clip.
"Huh? What am I doing here?" Jacqueline asked, confused.
"POUND IT!" Ladybug, Cat Noir, Ocelot, Lionne, and Guépard exclaimed.
Under the fluttering wingbeats, Hawk Moth growled and his cane creaked under the pressure of his grip. He clasped a hand over his brooch, and his voice rumbled against the metal walls, "Curse you, Ladybug. Your luck won't last forever." He then shouted to the window, as the metal shutters began to close, "I shall have your Miraculous one day!"
Guépard would pick up the rose gold hair clip, and pass it to Jacqueline. "Here, I think this belongs to you," he said.
"Oh my, thank you..." Jacqueline trailed off, with a light blush on her face.
"Guépard," he answered. His Miraculous would let off a warning beep. "I should go."
"Will I see you again?" Jacqueline asked hopefully.
"Maybe you will," Guépard gave her a sweet smile, before heading off with Ladybug and Lionne. Ocelot and Cat Noir went off in their own separate directions.
In an alleyway, the last warning beep would be let out, as Guépard would detransform back into François Cadieux.
"Thank you for trusting me, Ladybug and Lionne," he said, handing the Cheetah Cuff Bracelet back.
"And thank you for your help," Ladybug said. "Bug out!"
She and Lionne took off, so that they could return the Miraculous.
3 days later, at the fancy boutique...
Juliette, Renée, Rochelle, Jacqueline, Élise, Brigitte, Geneviève, Nicolette and Thérèse were looking at all of the beautiful dresses; wondering which ones would work out for them at prom.
Renée would find a short grey cocktail dress with a black lace bodice and black lace trim on the bottom hem of the skirt. She would also find a pair of silver high heels, and step out of the fitting room. "Well, what do you think?" she asked.
"Renée, you look absolutely stunning!" Juliette let out.
"Totally!" Rochelle agreed.
"It really does suit you," Jacqueline nodded.
The other girls would nod in agreement. Renée blushed a bit. "And you're sure you want to pay for it?"
"Of course we are," Juliette smiled.
Thérèse would be next. She would pick out a long, dark pink dress with white details and pale yellow ballet slippers. She twirled around in it. "Well?"
"You look absolutely amazing!" the girls would let out.
Next up would be Brigitte, who picked out a long, sparkly elegant raspberry-coloured party dress with matching shoes decorated with gold bows at the toes.
Nicolette would pick out a pretty medium-length off-the-shoulder silver dress with silver high heels.
Élise would be next, and she picked out a shimmering golden-orange dress with orange netting beneath, along with golden high heels.
Rochelle would be next, and she would pick out a long, sea-green chiffon dress with a belt and silver high heels.
Next up would be Geneviève, and she would choose a pink beaded dress that faded into orange and yellow. She also picked out a pair of sparkly pink ballet shoes with yellow ankle straps.
Juliette would be next, and she would pick out a long lilac dress with hundreds of sparkles and lilac ballet pumps.
"Juliette, you look absolutely stunning! Roland will have his jaw on the floor when he sees you!" Rochelle let out.
"You really think so?" Juliette asked, blushing softly.
"Of course!" Jacqueline nodded. She would soon find her dress, and went to try it on. She would soon emerge from the changing room in a gorgeous long scarlet satin gown decorated with glittering rhinestones and a star necklace and bracelet. She also found a pair of white stilettos. Once she emerged from the change room, she would twirl around in it.
"Well?" Jacqueline asked.
"You look stunning!" the girls let out.
Once everyone had changed back into their regular clothes, they would pay for their dresses, shoes, and accessories; with Jacqueline paying for Renée's dress.
"Okay, so the day of prom, we meet up at an exclusive hair salon to get our hair and makeup done," Jacqueline said.
"I don't want anything too fancy," Renée said, rubbing her arms. She had her nails painted black.
"Don't worry, just tell the stylist, and they'll know exactly what to do," Jacqueline reassured the young girl.
Renée would nod. She couldn't wait for prom.
"After we get our hair and makeup done, we'll meet back at the manor, to put on our dresses, and wait for the men to pick us up," Jacqueline continued.
The girls all nodded. They would soon leave, making their way home.
Day of Prom
It was a glorious day. It was the day of prom, and all the students had been given the day off from school, to get ready. The 9 girls were at a fancy hair salon, getting their hair and makeup done. Everyone had pretty hairstyles, and gorgeous makeup. They would soon pay once everything was done, and they would go to the manor to put on their dresses.
All the men were getting ready too. Roland would be wearing a plum purple suit jacket with black lapels, and a black button down shirt underneath and black suit pants. He would also pick out black dress shoes.
Antoine and Bastien would be wearing a navy blue suit.
Christophe, Marcel, and Philippe would wear grey suits.
François would wear a black suit, with a red dress shirt.
"Do you all have your corsages?" François would ask the men, who nodded.
"I'm still a little nervous though," Roland admitted.
"Don't be. Juliette loves you," Philippe said.
"You really think so? I haven't even asked her to be my girlfriend yet," Roland pointed out.
"Well, tonight seems like the perfect night to do so," Christophe said.
"Any idea of who Rochelle is going with to prom?" Bastien asked.
"Genevieve told me that she's going with movie star and actor, Miguel Alejandro Muñoz, after getting the required amount of retweets needed," Antoine said.
Marcel would whistle. "Damn. She's super lucky."
"I have to agree," François replied. "She'll be riding to prom in Miguel's limo."
Now, Roland was even more nervous.
"Cold feet?" Antoine asked.
"A little," Roland replied.
"You'll be fine," Bastien said.
"Says the guy who's planning on proposing to Élise right at graduation," Marcel playfully groaned.
"Wait, what, seriously?" Roland was wide-eyed. "Do her parents know?"
"Yeah, they already do," Bastien replied. "And while it is early, they do know how much I love their daughter, and gave me their blessing."
"You are seriously one lucky man," Christophe said.
"I know. She's the girl of my dreams," Bastien sighed happily.
"And hey, at least we're all sharing a limo," Marcel said.
François would check his watch. "Nearly time, gentlemen. This is the biggest night of our lives."
"Aside from graduation," Antoine chuckled.
A honk would be heard from outside.
"The limo's here!" Christophe let out, as everyone rushed out, with Roland following behind them.
They would all head to the De Sauveterre manor, where the girls would be waiting. A professional photographer who was hired by the De Sauveterre family would take pictures of everyone. He first did a group shot of the girls, followed by a few solo shots.
The men would soon arrive, and they would each give their corsages to their respective dates. Even though Renée didn't have a date, she would get a white corsage herself, from Juliette, Rochelle, and Jacqueline's parents. The young woman would thank them happily.
Roland's jaw dropped when he saw Juliette. Her hair was placed into a pretty bun, with curls; and three tiny purple blossoms were tucked behind her right ear. She also wore her Miraculous, which was thankfully camouflaged.
"Wow. You look beautiful," Roland said.
Juliette blushed. "Thanks. You look handsome."
Roland also blushed, before he took out the purple rose corsage that he had gotten. "This is for you," he said, putting it on her wrist.
Juliette would blush at this. The photographer would take a photo of this. Then, he would take duo shots of each of the couples, plus a group shot of the men.
A knock would come at the door; and a butler would answer it.
Standing there would be the actor and movie star, Miguel Alejandro Muñoz. "Is Rochelle here?" he asked, in his smooth, sexy Spanish accent.
Rochelle would step forward, blushing. "That's me," she said.
"You look very beautiful," Miguel smiled, taking her hand and kissing it.
This would cause Rochelle to blush deeply. "Thank you so much for agreeing to go to prom with me."
"No, thank you for inviting me," Miguel smiled softly.
"Well, what are we waiting for? We've got to get going!" Jacqueline let out.
"We'll meet you there," Rochelle smiled, after Miguel had placed the corsage on her wrist.
"Don't take too long," Juliette playfully teased.
Le Grand Paris
The hotel was decorated all out for the prom. The restaurant would be packed with the students from the private school. Everyone looked stunning in their dresses and suits. A lot of people even got photos and autographs from Miguel, who was happy to grant them. It would be a fun night.
Jacqueline and François would be named prom king and queen; and everyone would cheer for them.
Everyone would happily dance the night away, and they would all have a good time.
Sometime during the night, Roland would ask Juliette out onto the balcony, and the girl would nod, following him.
The moon was shining in the night sky.
"It's so beautiful outside," Juliette smiled.
"Not as beautiful as you," Roland smiled.
This would cause Juliette to blush. "Roland!"
"It's the truth," Roland smiled. He then cleared his throat. "There's something that I have to ask you."
"What is it?" Juliette asked, a little worried.
"Don't worry, it's nothing bad," Roland reassured her.
"Oh, phew," Juliette sighed in relief.
Roland would take her hands, and look into her eyes. "Juliette, you are the most beautiful girl that I have ever laid my eyes on. And because of this...I wrote a poem for you," he began, letting go of her hands, and reaching into his pocket to pull out a slip of paper. He would then clear his throat, and begin to read.
"For once in my life, I don't have to try to be happy.
When I'm with you, it just happens.
Your Lips? I kiss that.
Your body? I hug that.
My smile? You cause that.
Your heart? I want that.
In a sea of people, my eyes will always be searching for you.
I'm so confused
I don't know what to do.
All I know is
I wanna be with you.
You make me smile
whenever your around.
I could just sit and watch you
without making a sound.
I could talk to you for hours
about nothing at all.
You make me feel so comfortable
into your arms I wish I could crawl.
I miss you when you're gone
I miss you when you're near.
If we are together
we will have nothing to fear.
So I guess I'm finally telling you
I'm being real and true.
Not only do I like you
I'm completely head over heels in love with you."
Roland would smile at Juliette, putting the poem away. "And so, I ask of you: Juliette De Sauveterre, will you be my girlfriend?"
Juliette would have happy tears in her eyes. "Oh, Roland! Yes! Yes, I will be your girlfriend!"
Roland would smile brightly at this, before cupping Juliette's chin in his hand. Then, he would lean in, and kiss her.
Juliette would melt into the kiss.
Renée, Jacqueline, Rochelle, Élise, Brigitte, Geneviève, Nicolette, Thérèse, François, Bastien, Miguel, Marcel, Antoine, Christophe, and Philippe would all watch this. The girls would be cheering, while the boys would let out wolf whistles. The cheers and wolf whistles would instantly cause Roland and Juliette to pull away, blushing.
"Finally!" Renée grinned. "It took you two long enough!"
"We were wondering when you'd become official," Jacqueline giggled.
"Oh come on!" Juliette blushed.
"It's the truth," Rochelle smiled. "You two totally deserve one another."
"Thank you," Roland would smile, holding Juliette's hand, and kissing her cheek.
Juliette would smile softly at this.
The rest of prom would go well.
Finally, this chapter is complete! This is the longest chapter by far! I wanted to make it as long as possible, and I'm so glad about it. I also wanted Roland and Juliette to finally get together! So I'm happy for that. I have no idea who the next akuma will be; will be looking at my list; and deciding from there. Anywho, thank you so much for reading, and please let me know your thoughts with a review!
