Chapter 33
"Tsubaki VS. Sarco: Part 2"
Tsubaki's vision was blurry. She struggled to lift herself off the frigid ground, and back to her feet.
"What's wrong, princess?" Sarco mocked. "Got cold feet?"
Sarco laughed at his fallen opponent, his deep, gravelly voice echoing throughout the cave.
"Well, this has been fun and all, but it's time for you to die." With that, Sarco raised his leg, and with great force, slammed it downwards towards Tsubaki's lowered head.
And, in the blink of an eye, Tsubaki raised her kitchen knife to behind her head, the blade pointing upwards.
"AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRGGGHHH!" Sarco howled as his foot was pierced by the sharp knife.
"No, I won't die today!" Tsubaki resolved herself, finally making it to her feet. "We're getting the Century Soup, and there's nothing you creeps are gonna do about it!"
"Never say never!" Sarco replied, pointing his fingers towards Tsubaki.
Tsubaki glared at Sarco, her face filled with a mixture of determination, and furious anger. Suddenly, Tsubaki seemed to disappear from Sarco's vision.
"Where'd she go?!" Sarco shouted.
Sarco felt a sudden pain on his left hand. When he looked, he saw that the tip of his index finger had been severed, the blood from the wound shooting out wildly.
"WHAT?!"
"I figured it out." Tsubaki said, bluntly, as she reappeared in front of Sarco. "You somehow absorb water from the air, increase its temperature to boiling level in your body, then shoot it from your fingertips. What I can't figure out is where you absorb the water from."
"Tch!" Sarco clenched his teeth in frustration. He then raised his hands again, only to feel the same pain as earlier, this time, it was the middle finger on his right hand.
"AGH! Stop doing that! You were not this fast a minute ago! Explain!"
"I don't know what to tell you," Tsubaki said with a grin "I guess my Gourmet Cells have adapted to the cold. Which means I can fight back with my full power!"
Tsubaki became surrounded with a mint-green aura, but that was nothing compared to the creature behind her. It was a large, mint-green, anthropomorphic, nine-tailed fox with four arms, long, sharp fangs, massive claws, and two glowing red eyes, and one glowing red eye in the center of its forehead.
"Since I don't know where you absorb the water, I'll slice off all your fingers, instead!" Tsubaki yelled as she made a dash towards Sarco, who began spraying boiling hot water from his remaining fingers.
As Tsubaki ran, she swiftly dodged the blasts of water.
Tsubaki jumped high into the air, her kitchen knife held tightly in her fists above her head.
"CHIFFONADE SLASH!" Tsubaki yelled, as she brought her knife down with all her strength, slashing Sarco across his face, chest, and abdomen, his blood gushing out like a soda bottle that had been shaken aggressively as if to prank someone.
Sarco fell to the ground, finally defeated, with Tsubaki landing a few feet behind his body. As Tsubaki turned around to see her beaten rival, she saw a black toque roll towards her feet. She picked up the hat, looked at it for a moment, and then back to Sarco.
"I see. So that's how." she said as she too fell to the ground, but still remained conscious. Tsubaki once more looked at Sarco, more specifically, the small dehumidifier-like contraption jutting up from his head, which had been concealed by the black toque he had been wearing.
"Sorry, Namu." Tsubaki said aloud. "I'm afraid I used all my strength on this guy. You're gonna have to beat Hito on your own, but I know you can do it!"

I've been losing a little motivation recently, but I decided to read ahead a few chapters of the manga, and that's pumped me back up!
