The next time they wake, it's to Santana's cell phone alarm. Eyes still closed, Brittany starts to lightly trace patterns on her stomach, which feels amazing. Checking her email, Santana finds out that campus still has no power, so it's closed for the day. That means no classes, no meetings, no rehearsals; they get to start the weekend early. She smiles and does a tiny celebratory dance. "Britt, you can go back to sleep. Campus is closed, no classes." Brittany murmurs something, which Santana interprets as confirmation that she heard. Turning onto her side, she kisses the blonde's forehead. After a few minutes, they both fall back asleep.

The third time she wakes, it's to kisses—a very bouncy, mostly naked Brittany kissing all over her face. She cracks one eye open to see Brittany smiling at her. "Morning, baby." Her voice is gravelly with sleep. "What time is it?"

"Almost 11. I can't remember the last time I slept this late. What do you want to do? Do you want me to let you go back to sleep? Or…I don't want to overstay my welcome. Do you want me to go home? I can. I don't want to, but I can. Or we…" Santana leans up and kisses her, effectively cutting off her hyper rambling. Who is this awake when they first wake up? If it were anyone else, she'd be annoyed, but on Brittany, it's just cute and endearing.

"Stay with me. We can do anything you want. We should eat something. Then do you want to go see the ducks?"

Brittany squeals and flattens herself down onto the brunette in what she assumes is a hug. "YES! But first, I need to shower."

"Me too."

"I don't have any clothes here."

Santana wonders how soon is too soon for her to suggest Brittany leave some stuff here. The way she's feeling right now, she wishes Brittany would just move in altogether. Quickly, she tries to shake the thought from her mind. "How about I shower and change here, then we can eat something, and then go to your dorm and you can shower and get dressed?"

Brittany rolls off of Santana, grabbing the Latina's phone as she does so. "Sounds good! Go shower. I'll play Fruit Ninja."

Santana smiles and gets out of bed after kissing Brittany once more. After walking over to her dresser, she glances back to the bed and notices Brittany lying on her side, head propped up on one arm, staring at her. Santana is suddenly very aware that she's naked except her shorts.

Brittany licks her lips, and Santana's eyes widen in response. "What? My girlfriend is really, really hot."

Santana blushes and tries to distract herself from the fact that Brittany is also completely exposed. Managing to not dissolve into any embarrassing boner situations, she makes it to the shower. When she returns, Brittany is sitting cross-legged on the bed in just Santana's hoodie and her panties. Santana liked this look very much.

Brittany jumps up and hugs the now clean, clothed, and makeup-ed Latina. "I look so sloppy next to you." She pouts, not entirely seriously.

"Well, this is one of my favorite looks on you, so don't call my girlfriend sloppy." She kisses Brittany, who just grins and rocks back and forth on her feet. Then, Brittany pulls on her shorts, cheekily says, "Oh, I left you a present in your phone," then walks out of the bedroom.

Confused but intrigued, Santana picks up her phone. Her jaw drops, and she thanks whoever invented compression shorts, because what she sees definitely makes her dick stir. It's a picture of Brittany, still just in her tiny panties, with her arm draped across her chest, only partially obscuring the view of her breasts; there's even visible nipple.

Walking out to the kitchen, she hears Brittany humming, wraps her arms around her, and kisses the back of her neck. "I love the present. A lot."

Brittany grins as she continues to hum. "Good. I'm making us toast since we can't really use anything in the fridge. Does peanut butter banana toast sound okay?"

"Perfect." Santana sits on the counter and watches Brittany finish making the toast. After eating, they go out to the car, and Santana suddenly gets an idea. "Hey B, I'm just going to drop you off at your dorm. I need to run an errand." Brittany pouts slightly, but after Santana assures her that she'll be outside waiting before Brittany can even finish getting ready, Brittany is all smiles again.

After dropping Brittany off, she heads to the closest store, hoping they still have what she's looking for. Thankfully, she finds and buys everything she needs at the store, as well as a loaf of bread. Then, she drives back to Brittany's dorm building, where she decorates the box that will hold her gift. As she works, she keeps an eye on the weather. Luckily, the rain is holding off for now, and it's mostly just windy. However, the storms are due to come back, so they'll likely only have an hour or two to feed the ducks.

A few short minutes after she finishes her project, the building door opens, and Brittany runs over to the car. "Errands all done, babe?" she asks as she leans over to kiss Santana's cheek.

"Mhm. Got you something, just in case. I hope if the power goes out again, you'll call me and we can spend it together, but on the off chance I'm not there or can't get to you right away…I wanted you to have something that might help." She ducks her head, momentarily feeling a little lame but handing Brittany the box anyway.

The words "Brittany's Emergency No Power Kit" are written on the box, with flowers and rainbows all over it. Smiling widely, Brittany opens the lid to find some LED candles, a flashlight, an LED book light, crayons and markers, a coloring book, and a stuffed dog. Heart pounding, she looks back up at Santana. She'd never received such a sweet, thoughtful gift before.

Santana wonders briefly if Brittany likes it. Her question is quickly answered when the biggest smile she's ever seen breaks out across Brittany's face, and she literally launches herself across the seat into Santana's lap, leaving wet kisses all over her face. Santana starts to giggle. "I'm glad you like it, B." After a brief make out session, Brittany crawls back into her seat. "Alright, let's go find you some ducks."

They drive towards a park where Santana had always seen ducks, sitting in comfortable silence as their hands play together. "Hey B. Can I tell my brothers about us?"

"You can tell everyone you want! Only…I know they're your friends, but could we tell Quinn, Mercedes, Kurt, and Sam together?"

"They're your friends too, babe. And absolutely. Want me to text them and set up a group dinner tonight? We can go somewhere a little ways out of town, since no one has power, and we all have to eat. Plus, I kind of want to tell everyone as soon as possible." Brittany nods, liking the idea.

After they pull into the parking lot of the park, Santana sends two group texts: one to her brothers, "I GOTS ME A GIRLFRIEND!" (She had kind of already told her brothers about Brittany, so she was sure they were expecting it. Just to show off, though, she attaches a picture of Brittany in her hoodie, and one to their friends, "Hey guys. Group dinner, closest place with power tonight?" Pocketing her phone, she glances over at a very excited Brittany, who asks, "Can we go meet the ducks now?"

Santana nods and grabs the bread from the backseat. They head down to the pond where, sure enough, they find plenty of ducks. Brittany is ecstatic. Although they start by throwing chunks of bread into the water and grass for the ducks, Santana soon notices that the ducks don't seem at all phased by their presence; they get really close to the two girls whenever Brittany accidentally drops the bread instead of throwing it.

"Hey B, I want to try something. Sit on this bag, so your butt doesn't get wet, and hold your hand out with this bread, and stay super quiet and still." Once Brittany does as she's told, Santana tears and lightly throws tiny chunks of bread towards the ducks, getting them progressively closer to Brittany. Most of them run off, but one brave duck gets closer and closer, until he leans out and starts to nibble the bread in Brittany's hand. The smile that breaks across her face would put any sunrise to shame. Santana quickly gets out her phone and snaps as many pictures as she can until Brittany has to release the bread, because the duck is getting too close to her fingers.

Leaping up with a squeal and effectively sending the duck running, Brittany jumps into Santana's arms, wraps her legs around her waist, and kisses her fully. "Did you see that?!"

"Mhmm. Even got some pictures."

Brittany laughs and kisses her about 10 more times, then releases her legs' hold around Santana's waist so that she's standing again. "You're the best thing that's ever happened to me," Brittany says with complete sincerity. Looking into the blonde's shining eyes, Santana means every word of her reply, "You're the best thing that's ever happened to me too, Britt."

All too soon, it starts to drizzle again, so after a few more chunks of bread thrown at the now slightly traumatized ducks, they walk back to the car. Once they've sat down, Santana takes out her phone, first reading the replies from their friends saying they definitely want to leave town to get some food tonight. She texts back, telling them to meet at her apartment at 7 PM, and they'll figure out where to go from there. The next few messages are from her brothers, and they make her swallow loudly.

"What's wrong?" Brittany asks; Santana had been excited to tell their friends, but she suddenly looks nervous. "Are your brothers not okay with you and I being together?"

Santana shakes her head no. "Uh…kind of the opposite. The thing is, they're a lot to handle. Like, a lot. They're super protective and can be kind of weird. And…well…they want to meet you." Brittany nods; sure, she can do that. If they're anything like Santana, she's sure they're great, and she can ease herself in by meeting them one by one. "All at once," Santana continues. Brittany nods again; okay, she can do that. It'll be a little nerve-wracking to meet all four of them at once, but she'll probably have until at least Christmas break to prepare, because when else would they all have time? "And…they're going to come visit next weekend."

Brittany and Santana turn to face each other with identical nervous smiles. Next weekend will certainly be interesting. Hell, tonight will be interesting. But, Santana thinks as she continues gazing at Brittany, totally worth it. Honestly, she knows that her brothers are going to love the blonde, and she's just hoping that this doesn't stress Brittany out in any way. Just as she's thinking of words to say to comfort Brittany, her phone goes off with an email from the university.

"This is a message from the university emergency notification system. Please do not respond blah blah blah. The power will not be restored on campus until Saturday or Sunday. The surrounding areas can expect the same time frames."

She doesn't know whether to be excited or annoyed. Blackouts are kind of fun—you have an excuse to not do homework, and she remembers her brothers trying to make them more fun when she was little—but she looks at Brittany and notices the blonde's anxiety growing. "Do you want to stay over again tonight? Or I could stay at yours? Just so you're not alone."

"Can I please stay with you?" Brittany blurts out. The second Santana suggested it, her anxiety began to ebb.

Santana's eyes brighten. "Of course, B. We've got a few hours until we all meet for dinner. Anything you want to do?"

Brittany thinks about it. She vaguely remembers Rachel saying that she was going home for the weekend and wonders if she cleaned their fridge out before she left. Gross. "I should probably go back to my room and clean out the fridge. I'm sure everything is bad or will be. Then I can grab some clothes and change for dinner. Oh, and I have some games I could get and we could play them tomorrow if you want?" The idea of playing games in their pajamas excites Brittany; it's something she never would've done in her previous relationship or with her family, but it's one of those things that always seemed like it could be great.

"Oh yeah, I should probably check our fridge too. How about I drop you off, you get your stuff sorted out and then text me when you're done, so I can pick you up before it gets dark again?"

Brittany gets slightly distracted from what Santana is saying, because she's watching her lips move. They're just so full and pretty, and she desperately wants to kiss them—so she does. Santana is her girlfriend; random kissing is just one of the perks, she thinks to herself. "Sounds good," she says as she pulls away, leaving a slightly surprised but smiling Santana.

The Latina blinks a few times and takes a second to recover before quickly turning her head to face the steering wheel. "Okay. Let's go."
