Hello everyone. I know it has been a long time since I have written anything in this story. There has been a lot of things that have been going on such as a wedding that just took place for me. I decided that it was finally time to give this story the ending that it deserved. I hope you all enjoy.

"Well Miss Paulsen your results are looking good. There is not long term damage and we think that you do not need to come back in for anymore check ups," the doctor says to her.
Donna feels the sense of relief know that she can now put all of this past her and move forward. Forward for her would mean her future with Harvey. Since she was released from the hospital both her and Harvey decided that their feelings for each other was something that they could no longer ignore. In that time she has sold her apartment and moved in with Harvey.
The only thing that seemed to be holding them back from truly being together was the questions and search for everyone who was involved in her kidnapping. With the evidence gathered and final day of the trial all wrapped up they both felt for the first time in 6 months that they could breath. Donna walks out of the doctors office and up to Harvey who had been waiting at the car for her. He was eager to see what they would say; however, everything has been good so far with her healing both internal and external.
"I am all good to go. They do not feel the need for me to keep coming back," Donna says. Harvey let's out the breath he did not know he was holding. He nods his head and opens the car door for her. When it came to all of the visits he did not know what to say to her. She always felt like he was pulling away anytime she had an appointment.
As they get back to their apartment Harvey thanks Ray and they both head upstairs.
"Okay Harvey, you have been silent long enough. All of this is over now you can say what you have not these past months," Donna says as she takes her shoes off.
"What do you want me to say Donna?" Harvey asks as he goes to pour himself a drink.
"Oh I do not know. How about the fact that you havent said much to me since we started going to trial to put an end to everyone who did this," Donna says firmly. He noticed her stance, very stand offish and bold. Just how she use to look whenever she would come into his office to talk to him in the whole 12 years that they have worked together.
"It does not matter because it is over," Harvey says as he takes a drink of his scotch.
"No, it does matter. You know what, after you say whatever it is that you havent we can drop it and never talk about it again,"
Harvey goes to sit in the chair in the living room unsure of what he should say. There was a lot that he went through that whole week. He did not care to relive that every again.
"Donna, I made you a promise during our time at the DA's office and when you came to work for me at the firm that I would never let anything happen to you. During this whole thing I did. I could not keep you from any of this and during that whole time when I did not know where you are or whether I would ever see you again I had to live with the fact that I broke that promise. I could not get to you in time on the streets to keep this from happening. Everything that has happened is my fault and I know you say that it is not my fault but I am responsible for you," With Harvey allowing himself to spill out all of his thoughts to Donna she just lowers herself to him and takes his hand.
"Like I said, it is not your fault and not matter what happened you did keep your promise because I got out. I got out because of you." Donna says.
Harvey shows a faint smile but is still not convinced of any of it. He felt that none of it should have happened. He had played every moment leading up to it in his mind about how he could have avoided it.

"Well I have the car downstairs, I can take you home if you want" Harvey says to Donna. She nods in thanks, she would not want to find herself walking home this late at night. Both of them head towards the elevator and down to the lobby where the car is waiting for them. As they approach the car Harvey stops.
"You know, you were very brave to go through all of that mess. I do not know how you did it" Harvey says. Donna looks at him in disbelief.
"Why wouldn't I have? I wanted to watch you make him pay for what he did to all of us. I was not going to sit back and do nothing" Donna says.
Harvey looks down and gives a slight smile. He knew she was strong and that she would do anything to be there to help Harvey. As he takes that moment in he walks towards the car and opens the door for her.
"What, no walking?" Donna says as she approaches the door.
"No I think if we want to talk more we can do it at your apartment," Harvey says as he shuts the door behind Donna who sat herself in the car.
"That is all that I needed to do Donna. If had not stopped and decided to talk to you while walking all of this could have been avoided," Harvey says as he explains that moment with Donna.
"I know you think that, but it could have opened the option for something else to have happened. It may not have taken place that night but we both know that I liked walking home sometimes to clear my head. Everything that happened is how it happened and their is no point in trying to relive it Harvey," Donna says as she sits on the arm of the chair.
Harvey knows she it right. As he looks at her he can see the faint scars down her arms from the cuts but he knew that no matter what, it was then that he realized that he could not live without Donna and the same was true for her.
Alright I think that is where I will leave it. I knew that I wanted to skip to this part when I started this story to show where his thoughts were at. I really hope you guys liked this story and all that it brought. It is not perfect, but I loved seeing all the feedback that I got from you all.
