Wisdom, Justice, and Love

While Naruto could at least for a night, take satisfaction of getting back at Sasuke and his friends, it didn't come without consequences.

Already the pariah at school, Naruto upgraded that title and status to that of a menace to society.

And he got that sort of notoriety after Sasuke and his friends all came back home smelling like puke, where they did informed their parents that Naruto was the culprit.

As punishment, Kushina confiscated his Xbox and iPhone for the month as punishment for cleaning up damaged control, leaving Naruto more board at home.

The only silver lining was that no one mentioned Ruby, as Naruto took solace that his only best friend and tutor was able to get away without any repercussions.

"And we're done for the day" said Ruby as Naruto closed his book, "Yippee" Naruto said dryly.

"Cheer up, you could've been in seriously more trouble than you could imagine you know" said Ruby, "You mean you could've been in trouble as well, I'm just glad Sasuke or his friend didn't mention you" said Naruto.

"Well I did hit them right before they could ogle me like a piece of meat" said Ruby, "Has anyone ever done that to you" asked Naruto.

"Maybe a guy or 2, but none of them had the guts to ask me out" admitted Ruby, "Really you don't say" said Naruto with a sly foxy smile.

"Keep it in your pants Naruto, I'm seriously off the market for a reason" said Ruby, "Just teasing, besides, I'd hate to lose my only friend I got in this messed up life" said Naruto.

"While we're on the subject, I think we can cancel any plans to prank Weiss now" sighed Ruby.

"You sure you want to that?" asked Naruto as he's went through a lot of planning, "Yeah, I think it's for the best" said Ruby as they went about studying today, but there was a twist to it.

"All right Naruto, we're going to watch a historical video on civil rights leader MLK" said Ruby after taking a half hour long break.

"Sweet. Oh wait, we can't, my mom took my Xbox from me" said Naruto, "It's cool, I've brought my laptop over and the movie with me" Ruby said smugly.

Time Skip

"…I come to this magnificent house of worship tonight, because my conscience leaves me no other choice. A true revolution of values will lays hands on the world order and say of war. This way of settling difference is, is not just; This business of burning human beings with napalm. Filling our nations homes with orphans and widows; Of injecting poisonous drugs of hate into the veins of peoples normally humane…Of sending men home from the dark and bloody battlefields, physically handicapped and psychologically deranged, Cannot be reconciled with wisdom, justice, and love!" said MLK as Naruto was sucked into the video, not only because he had fill in these Q&A sheet Ruby handed him, but because he was listening to the words of a leader who wanted to make a change for the better.

As the video continue to play for another hour, Naruto finished filling in the sheet of paper, before handing it over to Ruby.

"All right, how about we end school early today since we've only got a half hour left" said Ruby, "I'm fine with that" said Naruto.

"Alright then, if it's cool with you Naruto, I've gotta head home now" said Ruby, "Really, don't you want to hang out for a bit" asked Naruto.

"I can't I do got plans today I need to fulfil" said Ruby as Naruto began to frown over hearing how he'd be forced to be board at home again.

"Don't make that face, it sucks, but hey, count your blessings that you don't have to face the real world for another 5 years" said Ruby with a smile as she got the boy to smile back to her.

"See you tomorrow Ruby" said Naruto, "See you" said Ruby as she finished sliding her shoes on and walked out the door, leaving Naruto alone by himself and with his thoughts.

As for what was making the boy tick, he was thinking about the words of MLK, and his anti-war speech against Vietnam.

He didn't know why, but the more he thought about it, the more the words 'Cannot be reconciled with Wisdom, Justice, and Love' seem to echo in his head.

And the more he heard those words resonating within him, the more he thought about his actions that lead him to his current predicament, and his most recent, and todays interaction with Ruby began to make him think and possibly reflect on his actions.

Is he more the victim, no question about it, but his actions against his ex-best friend says otherwise, and understands that now since he's the villain once more, as oppose to when Sasuke and his goons jumped him.

Understanding now that his actions carry weight, Naruto sighed in defeat as he got up from the kitchen chair and made him a ham sandwich before retreating to his bedroom.

Thankful his mom wasn't smart enough to take his Gameboy, Naruto patiently waited in his bedroom with a sandwich at hand as he began to finally mature a little that night.

Will he stand up for himself when Sasuke decides to attack him again, you bet your sweet bippy he will.

But will Naruto deliberately go after and attack Sasuke ever again, never again.

So I know this chapter is shorter than usual, but I kinda felt like I was fluffing up what was an easy message, and didn't felt like doing character development this time around, because I was recently in a car accident and my mind is preoccupied on dealing with that at the moment.

Word of warning, I might lowkey go on hiatus after this because you know priorities, even though I don't really want to, but you know this whole fic is about growing up, finding yourself, and taking accountability of your actions, and well it be a bit of hypocritical of me not to practice what I'm preaching.
