"A new secretary?" Cora asked from the dinner table.

Regina smiled while pouring the water into her glass. She knew that what happened today was because Emma wanted a way to get back at her somehow for Seeing her with Gideon at lunch.

She didn't have any intention to lie but when her father called to say that Henry was safe, just a normal flu nothing a medicine couldn't cure. He went home and she was so relieved so she told Gideon that his brother was okay now. And they agreed to meet and stick with the same schedule.

Turned out Emma was at the same place as them.

"Why don't you just quit? You work very hard and your boss is still unsatisfied?" Cora frowned

"If I don't quit, she will fire me soon anyway."

Henry snapped his head back to her.

"Why would you let her do that? Why don't you quit first, darling?" He was also confused.

Regina could only give them a small smile. Speaking out her thoughts unconsciously.

"I don't wanna turn my back or leave anyone ever again. I'd rather get fired or even denied. I'll try my hardest at work and if she still doesn't like me then let her fire me. Maybe she can be happy again for being the one who broke it off…"

Cora and Henry looked at each other, brows frowned hard at their lost-in-thought daughter.

"What?"

"Oh, I mean, break the hiring contact first." Regina smiled but her eyes were sad. She shook it off and walked to Henry.

"How's the sick one doing, Daddy?"

"He took the medicine and was ready for bed with his nanny."

"Thanks."

Regina walked to her son's bedroom and let the nanny rest while she took time with her son. Henry saw his mom, his eyes suddenly lightened up.

"Momm!"

She walked to sit at the edge of his bed, hands patted his hair softly.

"How's the trip to the hospital?" Regina asked.

"Not funn! I got a headache! The doctor gave me magical medicine."

"What magical?" She lifted an eyebrow in surprise at his choice of words.

"Pop said it's magic if I take all of them I can go swimming!"

"Well, then you better do that, okay?"

"Yess."

She grinned at how adorably he looked while being sleepy but still wanted to talk with her. She took his tiny hand up and kissed the back of it, toying with his little fingers.

"M-mom?"

"Yes, baby?"

"Are you tired?" Her eyes welled up slightly, touched at his concern so young.

"Oh, no. When I think about you all my tiredness disappears! Do you know that you're my magic, Henry?"

"You're my super mom."

"Good night, darling."

She pulled his blinky to cover him up. She couldn't help snuggle up with her son, head resting above his pillow, watching him sleep.

She thought about lunch with Gideon.

He asked her if she would sell Henry's share of the Gold bank back to his sisters, and she said no. It's Henry's property and she intended to keep it that way.

"Don't forget you have work today, babe."

"I know! I'm not the forgetful one. Almost there, boss." Driz laughed at the new nickname. And she chuckled over the phone.

Emma walked along the hallway and stopped when she reached Regina's desk.

"I cannot wait to see you, baby." Emma raised her voice, eyeing Regina behind her. She smirked when Regina avoided her gaze and went to pick up her belongings instead.

Emma hung up before walking back to her office.

Regina smiled to herself. She was amused at how Emma was acting and wanted her attention. She had to admit she wasn't jealous or anything. In fact she was happy to know that Emma moved on and got herself a girlfriend.

Her work phone rang and she picked it up.

"Can I speak with Emma?"

"Name please?"

"It's Tiana."

"A moment."

She waited and not long had Emma picked up the call then her ear was bleeding from the scolding.

"Tell her I'm not here! Or I left the country or something! I don't wanna talk to her. You're a secretary, just use your brain about who I should or shouldn't talk with in the future!"

Then the line went dead.

She pulled the phone away with a wince. Shaking her head with a sigh.

How would I know that?

"Emma's in the meeting." She said into the phone.

"It's fine, I can wait in her office, I'm at the front."

Another deadline on her.

She took a deep breath to calm her nerves down.

What's with these people about hanging up on her?!

She called Ruby for help.

"It's Regina. Do you know anything about the name Tiana?"

"Ohhh! Absolutely!"

"Who is she?"

"She's a designer. She keeps asking for the Swan company to design for her shop. Emma doesn't like that. And I think she uses this excuse to get close to Emma."

"Thank you. Ruby, I may need your help."

She waited for Drizella aka Emma's girlfriend with a sinking feeling in her stomach. This might be the first time she met her in person. When she saw her walking in, a flash of something stirred inside her. Drizella was gorgeous, with her short curled hair, large sunglasses, red lips, and short black dress.

Drizella was making her way over to where Tiana was waiting, she quickly interrupted and walked over to her.

"Are you Drizella?"

Drizella turned to her with a nod.

She smiled and opened her arm to the left.

"This way, please. Emma's waiting."

"But her office is that way?" Drizella said, pointing to the right.

"This way is better, trust me." She gave her an inclined smile, hoping she would follow her, and asked questions later.

She guided her way to the back of the building, up the staircase, passing her desk, and stopped when Drizella said.

"I didn't know that Emma's secretary has to avoid the girl for her boss as well."

Regina chuckled.

"I call it as choosing the one your boss wants to meet the most. Emma especially told me to take care of you because you're the most important person in her life. While Tiana is not. I was just doing my job." She smiled properly, resisting the urge to swallow an empty air in her throat at the last bit.

She brought her to Emma's door, without even knocking, suddenly the door flung open and a smiling blonde came out of the room. She hadn't seen that bright smile for a long time and her heartbeat a little faster at the rare sight before her.

Her heart sank when that smile was aimed at Drizella behind her.

"You look gorgeous, baby!" Emma walked straight to her girlfriend and took the woman in for a hug and a big kiss on her cheek.

Regina swore she could hear the 'muah'.

She realized that Emma was staring at her over Driz's shoulder so she shifted her eyes away, forgetting that she was watching them. She put her hair behind her ear and pretended not to hear or see. But it's hard since they were practically there.

They were giggling about something and then Emma took her girlfriend inside and shut the door on her.

"What? You want me to teach everything over to Drizella? But I just got started at this job."

After she placed the snack tray down for Emma and Drizella. Regina was perplexed to be asked of that. She even thought Emma would be the one who wanted to teach her girlfriend, not her.

"Yep."

They all expectedly looked at her, waiting for a reply.

"Alright. I will teach her as fast as possible." She gave them a polite smile.

"Thank you," Drizella said.

"You can start tomorrow?" Emma asked with happiness shining in her eyes.

"Nope. I haven't prepared myself yet."

"Next week?"

"Too soon."

"Then wheennn?"

"Next month."

"Oh? That's too far! I can't wait that long." Emma whined with a pout.

"Good since you always get your way. It's time someone doesn't do as you say." Driz grinned.

Regina's lips curled up slightly at the end.

"Okay, fine! Whatever suits you."

"I have to tell you that next month I might be in the office from time to time. I'll call you if I'm in." Drizella turned to say to her.

"Got it." She smiled.

"Oh! Emma, I have to go now. I have an interview with the magazine in an hour." Drizella said while standing up and turning to say goodbye to her.

"See you next month, Miss..?"

"Regina Mills."

"Miss Mills."

"Regina is fine." She grinned.

"Alright, see you, Regina."

Regina smiled, watching her leave, thinking that the girl was cute and had that high-class manner and schedule of a high-end life as well.

"I just saw you smile, tell me why?" Emma's harsh tone startled her as they were left alone.

She gasped slightly at the implication. She turned to see her thin lips again, not the smiling blonde in the room earlier.

"Seeing you with Drizella was kinda cute so I smiled."

"I don't believe you." Emma abruptly stood up from her chair and walked toward her.

"You pretend to be nice, you don't have to do that with me. The more nicer you're trying with me the more nausea I'd get! Please keep your fake smile for someone else. If you really want to see me happy. It's easy I'll tell you how,"

She waited with a bare breathe, the closer Emma got to her face. Her breath stuck at Emma's words.

"The day that you feel the saddest is the day that I'll be the happiest." Emma finished with a sarcastic smile.
