Chapter 2
We can throw the past away now. I want everything
And love I know will carry us.
Our engagent lasted a matter of months. We kept it to ourselves.
Wanting to keep the world out of it.
We knew what we wanted. A life and future together.
But eventually how we felt about each other. Was too much to contain. Which is why we ended up gathering together the people closest to us and announcing our engagement.
They were surprised. Taken off guard but truly happy and full of joy for us.
Along with that. The couple announced the date of their impending wedding. The two had secretly been planning it.
Wanting to really focus on their love and vision for the special day.
Hugs and tears. Pure excitment soon followed.
Lucas volunteered to tell Peyton about everything.
Wanting to clear the air with Peyton once and for all.
Brooke agreed. Fully trusting the man she was about to spend her life with.

Later on that day
"You've been out of touch for months. Why is that?" Peyton questioned. When the two met up at a random location.
"You rejecting my proposal was the right decision."
"I should of never proposed and I know now more then ever that."
"You and I were never meant to be. After our high school involvement the first time around it should of been over."
"Brooke managed to forgive and give us both another chance just for us to hurt her again."
"We aren't good people Peyton. I'm trying to become a better version of myself."
"Brooke and I have found our way back together."
"We're in love. We're going to have a life together."
"I lost her twice. I'm not doing it again. If you can't or won't support our relationship. Then just stay out of our life."
"We've spent long enough apart and denying our feelings." Lucas proclaimed.
Peyton was speechless. Watching as he walked away from her.
For the first time since she woke up in that hotel room alone.
She felt as if she lost him and this time it feels final.
...
"My wedding dress is perfect. We're having a small town private wedding. I have picked out options for bridesmaids dresses."
"The sooner this wedding happens the better. We know what we want. The future we picture is the same." Brooke gushed. To her girlfriends.

"We're getting married Keith. You grew to love Brooke like a daughter. I know you would be fully supportive of this."
"Mom's doing great. I love and miss you. But i carry you with me." Lucas said. Placing new flowers.
...
"Brooke has been a close friend for years. So her becoming family now is the greatest thing that could happen."
"It's very obvious and clear to me and Haley. Everyone else that you and Brooke are right together. We're relieved the two of you finally figured it out." Nathan proclaimed.
"So that means you'll agree to be my best man?" Lucas asked.
"I would be honored." Nathan replied.

"Having you as my maid of honor is the only way i picture this day going. You're my family." Brooke said.
Haley's eyes filled with tears. "Tigger. There is nothing i want more. I will make sure this is the day of you're dreams." Haley replied.
"It's going to be the best day of my life. Because i'm marrying the one i'm supposed to be with. I know it." Brooke proclaimed.
