Basically, I was watching a video about Mutagen Man some time ago and I was reminded some old ideas I had when I was a teen...

A very pretty teenage brunette girl with her long hair tied up in a ponytail with a pink bandana paced around in her room, worriedly one night.

"I mean it, Seraphina! It isn't like him to just run away!"

The girl's beloved pet salamander just sat there in her tank, staring.

"I'm glad you agree with me, Sephie," the girl sighed. "Mom and dad don't. They don't care." She crossed her arms. "He's their son, so they should care!"

Their parents never did truly care about them. Sure, on the outside, they came off as ultra-supportive of her. Years of gymnastics, ballet and cheerleading. She did like those, she really did. But she had other interests: she desperately wanted to study science, specifically physics. But no, apparently, girls shouldn't worry their pretty little heads about something as silly as science.

"What year are they living in? They'll get all mad if I do too well in math and science!" Now, she's ranting.

They hated that she even got herself a salamander as a pet, instead of something like a kitten or a puppy or a bunny. Excuse her for thinking that amphibians and reptiles were cool pets! When she was doing her research for pets, she did seriously consider getting a turtle before deciding on getting a salamander.

And that was her.

They couldn't even bother mustering the energy caring about her brother and his interests. They just treat him like a disappointment.

And he's the older twin.

"Honestly, if I disappeared," she leaned toward Seraphina's tank, gesturing to herself dramatically, "They'd pull out all the stops to make sure that everyone knew I was missing and that I eventually get found."

She knew that people had been disappearing lately. Was her dear brother taken, too? If so, why? Her brother was... her brother. As much as she loved him, she couldn't see why they would want him. Unless he was just an easy target.

Well, he did start taking martial arts classes a while ago. He even promised to teach her some moves since their parents didn't want her to learn any fighting, not even for self-defense. Not that he was that great a teacher, but the girl did have a best friend who definitely was a martial arts expert of sorts, who could make it all make sense. (Their parents hated her, too. And her cyan dyed hair.)

Honestly, it's lucky that they even allow her costume making hobby.

To this day, she wondered why her brother wanted with some of her material.

"Enough ranting," she punched into her own hand enthusiastically. "Let's get to doing!"

She put on a dark coat over her gray sleeveless top with white collar, her pink skirt, her black leggings and long brown boots. And then, the girl opened her window but before she climbed out, she picked up her salamander, cheerfully saying, "Oh don't worry Sephie, I'll be back before you know it!"

Seraphina just looked at her.

After putting Seraphina back, the girl climbed out of her window with a confident "No worries, big brother, I will find you!"

"TIMOTHY AND MONA LISA AGAINST THE WORLD!"
