New show I found...
Basically, I love this anime theme quizzes, mostly Latino dubs, but I got excited when I found this Italian theme one. It was all Giorgio Vanni ones. I was like, "Oh boy! I bet I'll get a bunch of them right!" And there was one I didn't recognize.
I got curious and went to TV Tropes and was like, 'Oh yeah... I vaguely remember that one episode of MST3K!"
As I watch the cartoon because I managed to find it in English, scattered across Youtube, I kept trying to wrap my head around the idea of the existence of a cartoon where this guy was made a good guy! It's so weird!
I liked it, but my taste is kinda crap. And I did grow up watching some of those old Saban comic book cartoons...
Would I have watched it if it aired in States as a kid? I dunno...
Look, I always wanted to write about a pair and I will take it!
The grand chandelier twinkled like a thousand stars, casting a warm glow onto the swirling couple below. Hidden in plain sight, a certain pair swept across the gleaming marble floor. Music filled the air, with laughter and clinking of champagne glasses adding to it.
Yet they exchanged glances.
The man, dressed in a tailored black tuxedo, moved with confidence as his eyes scanned the room. As he twirled and spun his companion, her gown swirling around her like a cloud.
In the midst of their dance, he leaned closer to her, his voice barely a whisper amidst the music, "You look breathtaking, ma chérie. Like a diamond amongst the stars."
Eva smiled, eyes lighting up, brow raised, "Dee, you charmer." her smile turned coy, "At least, we do make a striking pair."
"Indeed," the man- Diabolik - replied, spinning her once more. As they danced, their whispers blended into the music, punctuated by soft laughter and shared glances.
"Do you feel that?" he asked, drawing her closer. "The way the world seems to fade when I'm with you? It's almost too easy to get lost in the moment."
She smiled, "It is intoxicating," replying melodiously. "But I know you. You thrive on the thrill... so the plan?"
Diabolik took a moment to admire Eva, the way her eye sparkled with mischief and love. He leaned closer to her ear to answer, ending with. "No one will notice a thing... until it's too late."
Eva grinned at him, "Together, we are unstoppable..." Like the stars above, they will outshine them all.
Just then the music shifted, the lights dimmed and, in the moment, he leaned back, holding her with one arm extended, creating a perfect turn. It was as if time was suspended.
Their eyes locked, the air thick with tension, excitement swelling around them. "You know I'll follow you anywhere," her voice steady yet filled emotion. "But afterwards, I want another dance, just like this with you holding me close."
He grinned, a devilish flicker in his eyes. "Deal, let's make this night to remember, chérie. Just you and me, forever entwined."
The last notes of the waltz hovered in the air, beckoning them toward their next adventure.
"Five minutes," Diabolik murmured. "We'll need to keep attention off the main floor."
"Leave it me," Eva replied with a playful smirk.
I wasn't sure if they were a thing in the cartoon because it was one of those things I could easily see being censored out or something. There were some bits but I was thinking that I was reading too deeply in them. It wasn't until mid-series I realized and that just because I do have something of a dirty mind at times.
K, I have no place to put this rant (because I don't normally talk about random cartoons) so you, dear reader, will have to listen: So I remember watching that one episode with the device that make sound that wreck memory or something and at the end, our title character planted it in the Australian Guy s plane. You see, him and the pilot freaking out as they forget how to fly a plane. And where Australia is. And it is a long way between Japan and Australia, you know. You even see the plane wobbling at the end. As the end credits played, I just stared at my phone like, "Wow, Weird Good Guy Diabolik took the indirect approach. Nice." So, of course he shows up late in the series. Didn't really notice until second viewing and was like, "What the crap?! How?!" I wanna know how! I refuse to believe that that guy isn't freaking dead from plane crash! I say, it's just some other Australian man that the bad guys roped in it with plastic surgery was involved or something. Yeah, I know it's just an old cartoon made in the 90s.
...
Uh, bye?
