Prologue: Fall of Shiganshina
When I was little. I always wondered about the outside world. Outside the walls. I've always asked myself this. Then I asked my parents Why we stayed behind the walls.
The answer was one word
Titans
Giant monster human beings that have plagued and roamed this world for hundreds of years, driving humanity on the verge to extinction.
Leading to the creation of the Wall, Maria, Wall Rose and Wall Sina. It was humanities last defense in order to survive
But Where did they come from? What's their purpose? Why do they eat us?
My curiosity always gets me, so you can say I was a curious one. But there was one thing that I've always wanted to know personally
My family's history.
My parents never spoke much about their own family or past and whenever I've asked they always pushed it aside
But why were they so silent behind it?
Was it something that they didn't want me to know?
Eventually I would find out
My name is Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze. And this is the story of my life.
Year 845
You're an Uzumaki
His blood can be the key

Naruto's eyes had shot open and quickly sat up. He was breathing heavily and was sweating. Looking around realizing he was in his room.
He groaned and slammed back on his pillow.
This was the same dream that he has been experiencing for the past month.
What was weird was that he couldn't see it. Nothing but voices
Why did some sound familiar?
A knock was heard from outside his door
"Naruto, it's time to get up" Hearing his mother he hopped out of his and got dressed.
He wore a plain black shirt with orange pants and black open toe sandals.
Exiting out he went to the kitchen where he saw his mom was serving food on the table with his father reading a newspaper.
"Look who's up" Kushina smiled ruffling her son's spiky black hair. He looked just like a copy of his father
My mom was the nicest person in the Shiganshina district alongside her best friend, Carla Yeager. She was mostly recognized due to her red hair and natural beauty that made many women jealous and many men envious of my father. However if you made an enemy out of her, then may the wall of Maria be with you.
What people didn't know was her expertise in swordsmanship. She doesn't use any ordinary sword from an ODM gear but a special sword that she's had for many years.
Minato Namikaze smiled as he looked at him. "You've been a heavy sleeper lately son."
(A/E Minato and Naruto have black hair instead)
My father was perhaps too recognized in the Shiganshina district due to his time in the Scouts. He was regarded as the best due to his excessive speed of attacks on titans dubbing him. 'The Black Flash' Last year he retired which was strange.
Why would he at such a time?
He sat in a chair and began eating lunch along with his parents. After the family was finished eating, Naruto was about to take his plate to the sink.
"It's alright son, I'll take care of that. Armin and Eren are probably waiting for you, maybe you'll get to spend more time with Mikasa" Kushina grinned
Naruto blushed as his mom's tease. "We're just friends, mom nothing more." He left the house before his parents began to tease him more.
He walked through the district seeing a lot of people passing by him. He frowned when he went by some poor people. Seems with each passing day more and more people are struggling to survive.
The war against the titans has taken a toll on humanity.
How long can they go fighting?
Going through a familiar path he heard a commotion and looked to the source.
He Instantly recognized the person.
Armin.
Who was surrounded by kids bigger than him.
Armin Arlert. He is perhaps the nicest boy you'll ever meet. He is also a bit of a shy person but he is damn smart as well. That is what makes him a great friend.
Seeing his friend in trouble Naruto looked around and saw a small rock to which he picked up and threw it at the one holding Armin striking him in the back of the head.
"Ow" The bully let Armin go and rubbed the back of his head.
The five kids turned to see Naruto who's arms folded across his chest. "Why don't you pick on someone your own size" Naruto grinned
The bully leader growled "You again Uzumaki!? This time your girlfriend ain't here to protect you"
The other four smirked surrounding him as he just glanced around and sighed.
"You really want to do this? It's three against one." Naruto told him
The leader gave a mocked chuckle
"Oh yeah, how do you figure that?"
"Well once I take you out, the leader. Which is you, I'll have to contend with one or two enthusiastic dumb asses, the last two. They'll run away"
The bullies all laughed at him
Naruto shook his head "You're burning daylight."
The leader took a sloppy stance.
Just remember. You asked for this." Naruto warned
The bully suddenly swung a right hand to which Naruto quickly duck and turned his body back connecting a left back elbow to the forehead dropping him
The four bullies were shocked at the action.
Armin was surprised as he had never seen Y/N fight before.
Naruto grabbed the leader by the back of his shirt and tried to get him back up to his feet. "You're ok, get up."
Once back on his feet Naruto delivered a kick to the groin dropping the leader to his knees while choking on his words.
Naruto shoved him away with his foot. He looked at the other four. "Ok then who's next?"
A bully on his right threw a punch but Y/N blocked the arm and hit the joint followed by a left elbow to the face knocking the second down.
The third charged forward trying to take Naruto off guard but he anticipated this and turned back hitting another reverse right elbow to his face.
The fourth went in for a punch but Naruto caught it. Though he didn't see the third bully coming back as he rushed in and connected a punch to the face, He didn't let go of the fourth bully and threw him hard onto the third one.
The fifth threw the obvious punch which was blocked and Naruto quickly punched the side of the knee and swept him off the feet landing hard on the floor.
The second bully was back up to his feet and went for a kick but Naruto stepped in and caught the leg making his opponent vulnerable as he hopped now on one leg.
Y/N threw a hard punch straight to the gut making the bully hunch over as the air was knocked out of him
The fourth and third bully were back up but now hesitated as they saw Naruto who gave them a scary glare.
Both looked at each other seeing if one of them would move or do something.
"Really?" Naruto kicked the bully in the inner left thigh before letting go as he fell to the ground in pain.
He looked around seeing three of the bullies on the floor groaning in pain while the other two stood still not knowing what to do.
"Naruto!"
The said name turned around and sees two people running towards him to help.
One was a boy with brown hair and teal color eyes.
The other was a girl with long black hair, grayish black color eyes and a red scarf covering her mouth.
Both were glaring but the boy's glare was nothing compared to the girl's.
Naruto seeing this turned to the boys almost feeling sympathy for them.
Almost
The two bullies eyes widen
"It's Mikasa!"
"Let's go!"
Both had run away from the demon they called Mikasa.
Naruto seeing this couldn't help but laugh "And they try to be tough"
He walked over to Armin who was trying to be helped up by Eren but he refused and got back up on his own feet
"You alright Armin?"
"Yeah, I'm alright. Thanks Naruto" Armin smiled but winced from the pain.
"It's no problem. You know how much I hate bullies." Naruto turned to Eren. "Looks like your a second too slow as always"
He laughs and Eren, annoyed, hits him on the arm. "Oh funny real funny"
Eren Yeager was my first best friend. And it's funny the way we first met.
(Flashback)
Little Naruto was going to get something for his mom since it was her birthday.
Arriving at his destination he saw the bakery and looked for his mom's favorite dessert.
Chocolate chip cookies
Unfortunately there was only one left.
He didn't like that, his mom deserves a lot more but at least she would be happy with one at least.
As he was to grab it someone else's hand got it too.
He turned to see a boy with brown hair with teal color eyes.
"Hey let go, I got it first."
"No I did!"
"I spotted it first!"
"I did too!"
The boys glared at one other. Suddenly both threw a punch that connected the other's faces.
Both fell and held their cheek where they were hit. They glared at each other and a fight was about to break out
But
"Naruto Uzumaki! What do you think you're doing?"
Naruto's body stiffened and turn to see his mother who had her arms crossed and looked at him disappointed.
"But-But mom I was trying to get you your dessert present." Naruto told her
Kushina frowned at this "Be that as it may, you shouldn't have hit the boy."
The brown haired boy saw this opportunity and was going for the cookie but someone stopped him
"You're not off the hook too young man" a woman's voice told him firmly.
Eren recognized that voice and turned to the owner of it which was his mother Carla Yeager who saw the event.
Carla grabbed Eren and walked over to Kushina." I'm sorry Kushina. This is my son Eren Yeager"
Kushina shook her head and gave a reassuring smile "No It's my fault Carla, this is Naruto Uzumaki my son"
The boys still glared at one another.
Till their ears were twisted hard respectfully by their own mother.
"Naruto apologize to him."
"You too Eren."
Being freed of their mothers wrath they walked towards one another.
Neither had spoken as they stood close across.
Naruto was the first to offer the hand. "Truce?"
Eren didn't say anything back until he took the hand and shook it. "Truce"
(End flashback)
Since that day we had gotten to know one another, we had a lot of things in common although with some differences, we both have the same dream
To see outside the walls.
When he broke out of his thoughts from his flashback, he saw someone close to him
Mikasa
His heart started to beat fast just being up close to her. Seeing her pretty black color eyes and her cute face along with her long gorgeous black hair.
"Are you alright Y/N?" She asked, seeing the light bruise on his cheek where he was hit.
"Y-Yeah it's no big deal" Naruto said trying to brush it off.
She took out a handkerchief from her pocket and wiped the dirt off his wound.
Naruto blushed at this and did his best to hide it from her. "T-Thanks Mikasa, I appreciate it. You're always nice."
Mikasa nodded and blushed a little at the comment but hid it with her scarf.
Mikasa Ackerman. She is perhaps the most beautiful girl I have ever laid my eyes on. I met her last year through Eren who had brought her one day to introduce. I was so embarrassed that day. I couldn't even speak properly to her without messing up but she seems to not mind me.
Thank goodness.
He had to admit, he was jealous of Eren seeing Mikasa almost never leaves his side and is always protective of him.
Though at the same time he always did remember the story that she told him of her parents being murder and being kidnapped but was eventually rescued by Eren who killed the bandits but was almost killed himself by one leading Mikasa to kill the man, so it was understandable due to the event.
But still...
"Come on guys let's go down by the river. Better than standing here" Naruto said
They three agreed and all left.
*Small time skip*
They had first stopped by Armin's grandfather's house to help take care of his wounds. They stayed a bit as the boy wanted to show his friends about a book explaining stuff that were outside the walls.
Now later in the evening they were now by the river.
Naruto glanced to see Eren throwing some small stones in the river. Mikasa was sitting down close to him.
"You know, hearing about that ocean makes me more eager to go out there." He threw a smooth small stone that skipped three times across the water before sinking.
"Oh yeah, you did say you were planning to join the Scouts, right Naruto?" Armin asked
Mikasa: What?
Eren: What!?
The Yeager ran up to his friend.
"For real Naruto!? Your parents actually allowed it?"
He nodded.
"I'll be honest, I argued with my mom to let me join, dad understood of course and approved. So I should have known my mom wasn't going to be convinced so easily. But eventually she agreed, under one condition
"What is it?" Asked Armin
"I have to write to her daily to keep her informed about me. Which is no problem."
Eren sighed "you're lucky I want to join too but someone had rat me out to my parents"
He glared at Mikasa
She shook her head "I didn't promise that. I promised not to tell anyone that you were crying."
The boy's jaw drop
"Mikasa what did I say!"
Naruto raised an eyebrow. "You were crying?"
"Why?" Asked Armin
"It was nothing. Anyways my mom was not too happy when she heard about it.
"It's understandable."
"I Understand from your point of view it can be frustrating. But try again to talk to your mom. Instead of getting angry like always. Be calm and explain to her again from your point of why you wanna join badly, it doesn't help you if you just shout." Naruto gave some advice
Eren looked at the river thinking of his best friend's words.
The black haired Ackerman looked somewhat concerned " But Naruto What if you get hurt or worse..
Naruto gave a smile. He appreciated that Mikasa showed some concern for him.
"I'll be fine Mikasa. I'm gonna die that easily. My dad has been training me like crazy and wants to be sure I'm ready, he's not pulling back. Mom has been helping my sword skills too and even she's not pulling anything back."
Still, Mikasa couldn't help but be worried for him.
Naruto decided to change the conversation. "So Armin, why did those jackass's pick on you?"
"Oh, Wellbthey just heard me about believing that mankind's future is outside the walls. But I doubt they understand what I meant."
Naruto shook his head. "Ignorant is what they are. They're just in denial thinking we're gonna be safe here forever. I mean even though the titans haven't broken through in a hundred of years, it hasn't been guaranteed that it won't happen one day.
Eren frowned and shook his head "They're just cattle, following whatever they think is right and best... disgusting."
Naruto is taken back by his friend's harsh words.
"Well, I wouldn't say it like that, but I know one thing. It's fear that makes them like that. Though I can't blame them, with some losing family or loved ones to the titans and having... whatever is left of them be brought back.
He sighed as thought back to the time his young self saw his dad and the scouts who most were injured return from a mission. A father and mother pleaded with his dad on their only daughter's whereabouts. Sadly they were presented with a severed hand with a ring.
The crying and scream of the mother had haunted him and stuck with him till this day. That day he was close to reconsidering joining the scouts as he couldn't picture putting his mother through that.
But if he did. Who would help prevent family members, friends, loved ones suffering another loss.
"Seems always peace doesn't last forever." Naruto said
Suddenly his body stiffened and strangely the world felt in slow motion. The hair on the back of his neck stood up.
Out of nowhere a golden lightning struck outside the wall making a powerful force that shook the ground hard that made everyone stagger.
Mikasa almost fell but Naruto caught her hand. "You okay?"
Mikasa nodded but was confused on what that was.
He turned to the direction where the lightning came from.
"What was that golden lightning?" Questioned Eren
The group saw civilians running towards it. Not thinking Naruto had rushed after. He had a pit feeling in his stomach.
Why did he have this feeling? Something was not right.
He stopped as he joined the crowd and looked up as he saw something.
Smoke
But that wasn't the only thing
His eyes widened when he saw what looked like a huge hand gripping the wall.
It couldn't be.
But that's impossible
"Naruto, wait up!"
Eren came running with Armin and Mikasa following behind.
"Naruto what's going on, what was that an explosion-
The words that were gonna come out caught in his throat when he saw the hand on top of the wall as it was pulling itself up cracking it.
Eren's eyes widened in horror, terror and fear.
The being was revealed to be a humongous skinless titan.
"B-But that's impossible, that wall is fifty meters high." Armin eyes widen
Naruto for the first time was afraid, no terrified no. None of those words can describe what he is feeling seeing a...
"Oh God...it's a titan" Eren spoke in fear
Suddenly the giant skinless Titan delivered a kick that made a hole in the wall. People that were close by were sent flying from the force that also destroyed houses. Huge chunks of boulders flew in the air before it rained down crushing people and destroying more home's
"I-It blasted a hole in the wall like it was just kicking a rock"
Soon enough a 10 meter titan with a terrifying smile walked in
Citizen:Oh God the titans have breached through!
Citizen 2: EVERYONE RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!
Everyone terrified screamed in panic and ran away just when many more titans came in through the hole.
Naruto snapped out of his state and saw Eren run forward.
"Eren, what do you think you're going!?"
"My mom is still at the house!" Eren shouted back as he ran
Mikasa followed as she was too concerned for her adopted mother.
Naruto called out to her. "Mikasa, wait!"
Naruto turned to Armin who was stiff and terrified. He went in front of him "Armin snap out of it now!" He shook his friend hard and thankfully came back to his senses.
"Look, I'm gonna try to look for my parents, you got to leave!"
Armin's eyes widened and shook his head "No please!"
"Armin just listen to me, you gotta leave now. I'll come back along with Eren and Mikasa just please. Get to safety!"
With that said Naruto turned and ran towards where his house is located.
It was a nightmare as he ran down the path.
He could see Titans eating humans. Limbs being ripped to pieces and blood painting the streets red.
He saw a woman pleading and begging for mercy as the titan grabbed her and brought her to its big mouth as it ate her
Naruto had felt tears welling up and felt like throwing up but he had to stay strong and kept running towards his house.
"Naruto!"
Thankfully he saw his mom who called him and ran to her as she did the same.
"Mom!"
Kushina with slight tears wrapped her arms around her son and looked to see if he was injured.
"Are you alright son?"
"I'm fine*
I didn't notice it but my mom had her sword strapped to her back.

"Mom. Eren and Mikasa ran back to where their house was, aunt Carla may be in trouble." Naruto told her
She nodded and put her son on her back as he held on and rushed towards the direction as she knew the location.
They eventually caught up to Eren and Mikasa who just arrived and saw Carla who was underneath rubble of her home.
"Mom!" Eren yelled out in panic and saw his mother
Carla was barely conscious but saw her children along with her best friend and son.
Kushina and everyone moved the rubble and saw the house pillar trapped Carla's legs.
"Everyone help me lift this. Push with everything you got." Kushina told the kids. Her along with them bent down and tried to lift it up but it wouldn't budge.
Everyone felt the ground shake and looked to the left and saw a titan coming in their direction.
Eren pleaded to his aunt "Please Aunt Kushina we have to hurry and get my mom out.
Carla couldn't hide it but her eyes expressed fear as she saw the titans. Turning to her best friend.
Carla: Kushina! You got to take my children and get out of here.
"What No! I'm not leaving you!" Eren shouted
"Eren, please listen to me!"
"Carla, I can't do that." Kushina desperately tried to lift the heavy object
Carla: Kushina please I'm begging you don't let my childrens and nephew die for nothing.
Kushina had tears: NO! I lost my first home and friends. I'm not gonna lose another one again.
Carla gave a sad smile "If you truly are my best friend. Then please, do this for me. As a final request, from your sister.
Kushina had tears in her eyes as they streamed down her cheeks.
Eren though refused and still tried to lift the wooden pillar not noticing the blood on his hands as they were cut.
Eren shouted "No I'm not leaving you behind!"
"Eren for once in your life please listen to me!"
Everyone heard an ODM gear and saw Hannes as he landed in front of them.
Carla: Hannes help Kushina take my children and run.
Hannes: "Come on Carla you no that's not the only option. I'm a trained soldier, my skill set is killing titans and saving lives."
Hannes took his blade out and ran towards the Titan.
A female titan with a wide smile stood as it watched Hannes charge
Just as he was close he suddenly stopped as if his body froze.
Kushina saw Hannes freeze as he stared at the titan who Stared back as it too didn't move.
She should have known this would happen. Hannes was a good man but he was not in the right mindset of fighting a titan.
She took out her blade and focused as she closed her eyes.
There was only one choice.
Naruto was still trying to help Eren and Mikasa get Carla out. He saw his mom from the corner of his eye but she was not helping, she had her blade out and her eyes closed.
Her eyes glowed before making a slash motion which cut apart the pillar
They continued to try moving the pillar and this time they were successful as Kushina pulled Carla out.
Hannes ran back and saw her being pulled out.
"Hannes help carry my mom!" Eren called out
Hannes helped and picked up Carla bridal style.
"We have to go now. Hannes get Carla and her kids out of here, we'll follow behind.
There was no time for argument and did what he was told.
He had Eren and Mikasa climb up. Luckily the kids didn't weigh much and he took of towards the inner gate.
Kushina picked up her son and followed after them.
Soon after pushing through and making it through the chaos they were close to the inner gate
Suddenly Naruto fell to the ground and got scraped. He ignored the wound and saw his mom who was now on the ground.
"Mom, what's wrong?" He rush to her
Kushina gave a sad smile. "I'm sorry Naruto. I can't go on. My energy is drained.
He didn't understand. Looking around trying to call for help but no one heard or cared as they kept running.
He heard an ODM gear revealing Minato who landed in front of them.
"Dad!"
Naruto hugged him tight with his father doing the same.
He saw his wife and picked her up bridal style and bent down having his son climb on his back holding tight as he ran
They eventually made it through the inner walls. Minato kept running towards the ferry. One had departed and the other still waited but it wouldn't be there long.
A loud boom was heard and M/N looked up to see something falling. Her body instincts took over and jumped out of her husband's arm pushing both him and her son out of harm's way, she along threw her sword to them
Naruto turned around and saw his mom giving a tearing expression and a sad smile. "I love you Naruto"
A boulder came down smashing and killing her
Naruto's eyes widened. Everything around him froze and the air in his lungs felt sucked out.
His mother. His sweet, strong, innocent mother.
Was dead
Killed
His brain didn't progress this until he saw the blood flowing from beneath the stone.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!"
The smoke revealed to be another titan It was big and muscular with armor like skin.
Naruto's eyes filled with rage and he grabbed his mom's sword. Just as he was going to charge at her killer his father held him back as continued to run while holding him underneath his arm.
"I'LL KILL YOUUUUUUUUU!!! I WON'T STOP UNTIL YOU AND ALL OF YOUR FILTHY RACE ARE EXTINCT AND WIPED OFF THE FACE OF THIS WORLD!!! I PROMISE!!!!
He suddenly felt a pinch on his neck and passed out but still held his mom's sword.
Minato saw the boat leaving and had jumped for it.
He just made it in.
He had looked around and found an empty spot where he sat down. He held Naruto close to him.
He saw the destruction of Shiganshina as the titans now have claimed it
Looking down he watched as his son slept. His son's declaration had repeated in his head, Minato had a grimace expression for what he will do...no doubt Grisha will do the same.
"I'm sorry Naruto. I'm sorry for what I am about to bestow upon you. But...I believe you can handle this power. And use it to protect the ones you love...and avenge your mother...I hope what I am doing is right...maybe you'll be the one to lead humanity to a brighter future and to the outside….maybe you'll break the curse.
I hope this was a good start. I had to put some time into this idea. I'll be honest everyone I only watched just season 1 and after that I lost track of the whole thing so it will take time for me to catch up on the three other seasons. I was thinking too of original ideas
When I mean original I meant something non canon like dbz with the movies maybe make AOT Movie special in celebration of the AOT Movie coming out. What do u think about that idk why but I'm getting vibes of db super and db battle of gods but I could be wrong.
Anyways, one last thing. How long should I try to make the training arc? That is all. I know if you will ask if I'll be working on my other stories.
