Sixty-five million years ago, savage dinosaurs roamed Earth. A cub of Gigantosaurus stepped away from the packs of creatures drinking by a quiet river, much like modern day predators and prey are prone to do in the African plains.
He lifted his humorless gaze to the skies, which were growing a beautiful shade of red, while a pleasant smell drifted from the North.
Gon roared. The other dinosaurs were starting to react in fear, fleeing towards the South in a stampede. But Gon, tiny and cute Gon, stomped ahead towards the wall of white heading their way.
That is as much as we know. Somehow, he ended up being spared, and ended up millions of years into his future.
When we woke up, he heard a voice in his head calling him towards the East. Even without understanding the words being spoken to him, their meaning was clear enough he fearlessly began racing through the valley he had been transported to.
Gon.
Origin: Gon.
A Gigantosaurus baby, the last of his kind.
Gon wanders the world befriending some wild animals and fighting the predators who would attack them.
An animal moved by instinct, but he is not without cunning craftiness. A worthy opponent and tireless lovely fighting machine.
Stage: SNK vs Capcom: Chaos' forest stage, with a deer standing in the distance.
Opening Poses and Lines:
Gon flexes his fore claws in and out and bites the air three times.
Gon drops from above. He brings his snout down, tossing dirt from the ground on the opponent, and the countdown for their fight begins.
Vs. Konoe Konoka:
Konoka gets pink hearts in her eyes. "Ooooohhhh, how cute! Are you like Chamo-kun? You can talk, can't you, Dino-kun?"
Gon roars and blows a raspberry at her.
Konoka pouts. "Well, I hope you don't steal lingerie, at least!"
Vs. Darkwing Duck:
There is a cloud of purple smoke and Darkwing appears in it. "I am the Ice Age that made your kind extinct! I am the long running series of animated movies that makes a mockery of your species! I am Darkwing Duck!"
Gon roars angrily.
Darkwing coughs. "Sorry. Now that I think about it, that was rude from me!"
Gon stomps his foot down twice.
Darkwing sighs. "You sure aren't Stegmutt, kid."
Gon makes a rude noise and the countdown for their fight begins.
Vs. Hououji Akane:
"Hmmmm. I wonder if we could serve this little guy as some special menu...?" Akane rubs her chin.
Gon fumes and blows some rings of smoke.
"Sorry," Akane says. "That was just a joke. But you didn't understand any of this, did you?"
Gon roars and slaps his tail down on the ground. The countdown for the fight starts.
Vs. Akira:
Gon walks into the Ice Cold Sphere and snaps his jaws into the air.
Akira floats down to stand before him. He says nothing and only gestures with a hand for Gon to come over and attack him.
With a roar, Gon obliges.
Vs. Belldandy:
Belldandy floats down to greet Gon. The Norn smiles.
Gon twitches and gives a step back. For the first time he looks intimidated.
"Don't be afraid," she tells Gon tenderly. "You've always been so brave, this isn't the time to fear, Gon-san."
Gon growls, does a sumo-like squat, and squints viciously at her.
"Fight until either my body or yours breaks..." Belldandy says, floating back up.
Heavy Moves:
Bite Me: Gon hits his opponent with a bycicle kick and lifts them into the air. Then he catches them with a bite and and throws them to the ground. Despite it being a generic throw, it cannot be escaped once the initial kick connects.
Belly Flop: Gon jumps high and hits the opponent on the face with his stomach.
Dino Swing: Gon uses his stubby arms to grab the opponent by the legs and spins them around several times, then tosses them away.
Butt Flop: Gon jumps high, then slams his hindquarters down, generating a small shockwave around himself.
Dino Pounce: Gon pushes the opponent with a headbutt to make them fall on their back, and follows by dropping down on their chest.
Oopsie-Daisy: Gon rolls on his back and hits the opponent with an ascending swing of his tail.
Super Moves:
Dino Breath:
Gon spits a column of fire at the enemy. This doesn't appear to be something he could do before the Dimensional Tide engulfed the universes.
Dino Charge:
Gon gets right in front of the opponent, crouches down and sends electricity through his body, shocking the adversary.
Bad Doggie:
Gon spins around and hits the opponent with his tail. Due to Gon's short height, it has a reduced reach and it may be jumped over with relative ease.
Gon with the Wind:
Gon turns around, lifts up his tail, and emits gas from his belly in the opponent's direction, complete with a squeaky sound effect.
Stagger Kick:
It actually is a sequence of five low and sweeping kicks using both legs. It can be used to offensively slide under projectiles.
Armadillo Attack:
Gon rolls across the screen at ground level, sweeping the adversary down like so many bowling pins.
Woodpecker:
Gon learned many moves from observing other animals in the wild. By mimicking an ancient woodpecker, he slams his snout three times against the opponent.
Victory Poses and Lines:
Gon pulls his head back and roars while a detached banner reading 'The Greatest Show in the World' falls from somewhere.
Gon turns at the camera and tosses two punches towards it with his tiny arms.
Vs. Konoe Konoka:
"You aren't cute at all!" the downed Konoka pouts.
Gon closes his eyes, makes what only could be described as a ratty laugh, and drops on his butt still laughing and shaking his legs.
Konoka facepalms. "You're making me feel like Chisame-chan...!"
Vs. Darkwing Duck:
Gon bites Darkwing by the tail, swirls him around in circles, and tosses him offscreen.
"WAAAAAUUUGHHHHHH!" Darkwing says.
Gon drops on his tail and laughs hysterically.
"I refuse to believe that we evolved from these... things!" the offscreen Darkwing says with great wounded dignity.
Vs. Hououji Akane:
Gon turns around with a snort and walks away.
Akane looks at him from the ground. "Perhaps animals are more noble than us after all..."
Vs. Akira:
As Akira lays beaten, there is a zoom outside showing the Ice Cold Sphere from Neo-Tokyo.
There is an explosion shaking the Sphere, and then a fade to black.
After a few moments there is a series of images and short videos showing dinosaurs roaming all around the modern day Earth.
Velocirraptor packs run across a desert chasing wild horses around.
Pterodactyls fly over the jungles of South America while villagers below point up at them and gasp.
A Tyrannosaurus scouts New York while the police and Spider-Man try stopping him.
In Australia, Gon stands on a hill and roars, surrounded by native wildlife looking up at him.
Vs. Belldandy:
Gon wanders across the green prairies of Yggdrasil.
"It's for the best," Belldandy muses somewhere else. "He can be truly free without interfering with anyone else. He belongs with the mythical beasts of yore..."
Then a gigantic wolf stands on Gon's way. It growls, with fierce glowing eyes, and Gon roars back. They charge at each other, baring their teeth...
The screen turns black, and the credits start rolling.
At a midpoint during the credits, there is an image of Gon smiling and napping on top of a beaten down, sniffling Fenrir.
The credits go on after this.
