MUGEN Universe: Tournament of Champions.

From the ruins of an old castle, something rose from the dust.

It was a repulsive, twisted figure, pale and bald, with bulging bloodshot eyes. From the long sleeves of its black suit, skeletal hands reached up. The moon shone over the fortress, a red moon on a black and white and gray world.

There was a muted cackle and the hideous monster began its march down the mountain. Somewhere, a wolf howled.

Drawn by a wave of death sweeping across the world, the vampyre moved like an oversized anxious rodent.

He remembered a woman, and a team of men attacking him. He would have his revenge on them and everyone.

Count Orlok.

Origin: Nosferatu.

A Szekely nobleman who died and returned as a bloodsucking ghoul.

An unpleasant, eerie individual who commands rats and slithers around on two feet like a living plague.

He invited land agent Thomas Hutter to his castle to discuss the acquisition of an old manor in Germany, and then took a vivid interest on the man's fiancee, Ellen. Traveling to Hutter's homeland, he turned Ellen's friend Annie into a vampire, and found opposition from Annie's husband, Tnomas Hutter himself, and genius Professor Bulwer.

Hounded back to his castle, Orlok was exposed to intense sunlight and reduced to dust. The death of several universes brought by Yggdrasil's Dimensional Tide has revived him with greater endurance so he doesn't die from simple contact with sunlight anymore.

If most of that sounds familiar, it is because his true story inspired a British gentleman to write a famous novel about Vlad Tepes, who never was a vampire and would take a great outrage at it upon being summoned by a magus as a Heroic Spirit.

Orlok is sluggishly slow displacing on his feet, but his attacks are otherwise strikingly fast and precise. He works best in short distances.

Stage: The devastated, dilapidated Castle Orlok. You have wandered just past its front gates into a darkenned stone yard, dry and arid. Bats ocassionally fly around, and black rats scurry across the dusty cracked rock floor every once in a while.

Opening Poses and Lines:

Orlok appears in a flurry of black bats and bows elegantly to the adversary.

Against most female opponents, Orlok will try reaching for their hand to kiss it. Invariably, all females pull back in disgust before he can kiss them.

Vs. Kagurazaka Asuna:

"Hmmm?" Asuna raises an eyebrow.

Orlok smiles toothily and tries advancing towards her.

She pushes him back with a foot. "Eeeewwww! Stay away from me, you freak!"

Orlok frowns and threatens her with a gesture. The countdown for the fight begins.

Vs. Ultraman:

Ultraman flies down with his arms folded. He scowls at Orlok. "What kind of disgusting creature are you?" he asks.

There is a text screen saying I AM YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE.

Ultraman laughs humorlessly. "Don't you say! You don't even have a heartbeat. Are you supposed to be some sort of vampire?"

Orlok hisses inhumanly.

Ultraman lands on his feet and punches the ground. "You're too vile! You must be put down!"

Vs. Akira:

Orlok just appears in the Ice Cold Sphere and snaps his jaws into the air.

Akira floats down to stand before him. He says nothing, finding Orlok unworthy, and only gestures with a hand for the fiend to come over and attack him.

Orlok shakes, cowevered but also unwilling to flee. The countdown for their fight begins.

Vs. Belldandy:

Belldandy floats down to greet the fiend who has just appeared. She frowns.

"You cannot be the one who will decide the fate of mankind," she says.

Boldened by his victory over Akira, Orlok hisses at her loudly.

"I hate hurting you, but I cannot let you succeed..." Belldandy says, floating back up.

Heavy Moves:

Choking you to Undeath: Orlok throws himself at the throat of his rival. If this move connects Orlok will throttle them until they struggle free.

Aerial Spin: Orlok pulls a surprising acrobatic leap and rolls in the air with a kick.

Aerial Dive: Orlok jumps up and dives into the opponent hitting with his folded arms.

Slap of Pestilence: Orlok delivers a slap with his long arm to keep the adversary at bay.

Claws of Repungance: Orlok flings his long arms ahead and sinks his talons into the eyesockets of whoever is fighting him.

Shadow Slide: Just like in the silent movie, Orlok slides across the battlefield in complete silence, casting a huge shadow above him.

Super Moves:

Hypnotic Gaze:

Orlok shoots a fine beam from his eyes, symbolizing his vampiric Mystic Eyes. If the beam makes contact with the adversary's face, they briefly are stunned and paralyzed, and then lose a bit of energy. The main threat is not that damage itself, but that they are sitting ducks for Orlok then.

Flurry of Rats:

Orlok sends a stampede of gray rats towards the adversary.

Wolf Transformation:

Orlok briefly transforms into a hulking white wolf and jumps on his opponent, chomping on them brutally.

Mysterious Teleporting:

Orlok teleports from a side of the screen to the other in a cloud of black mist.

Shadow Puppet:

Orlok uses his shadow to claw at the adversary while stands back safely.

A Flock of Crows:

Orlok summons dozens of evil ebony birds that fly ahead. This is his best projectile and long distance attack.

That Accursed Soil:

Orlok sinks vertically into the ground, then reappears from it, popping back up to grab his adversary by the legs, but fortunately the site where he reappears may be guessed if one pays attention to the movements of the ground while he travels beneath the arena.

Victory Poses and Lines:

Orlok gestures with his claws and leans onto his fallen enemy, placing his mouth on their neck. The screen fades to black before the bite takes place.

Against non humanoid opponents or robotic ones, Orlok merely sneers and disappears in a flurry of black bats.

Vs. Kagurazaka Asuna:

Orlok walks towards the downed Asuna. She tries to scramble back.

"No! No! Stay back! I'm warning you!"

Then, just as soon as Orlok is about to reach her, she is teleported away.

Orlok frowns, looks around, and then curses.

Vs. Ultraman:

Orlok tries beating the knocked out Ultraman, but then backs away, covering his mouth in pain.

He stares venomously at the villain's invulnerable neck.

He spits on Ultraman and kicks him.

Then he walks away.

Vs. Akira:

With Orlok's victory, he is free to unleash his vampirism upon a world that has lost most of its defenders. He is seen standing on top of the Ice Cold Sphere, grinning maniacally and spreading his arms while darkness begins shrouding Neo-Tokyo.

Some time passes. A montage of scenes of ruin and devastation in several of the world's most famous landscapes, such as the surroundings of the Eiffel Tower, the Great Wall of China, and Sydney, Australia, is played out.

A haunting melody plays out while this is seen.

Zombie like vampyres shuffle around moaning weakly. Most of the planet's population has been turned. The few survivors hide in small pockets of resistance, scattered through the nations. What now?

On a Hungarian mountain, Orlok looks up to the stars. In this strange new era, he will recruit a crew of men and women of science and force them to build him a ship to the stars, so he can spread his disease to the rest of the remaining universe.

GAME OVER.

Vs. Belldandy:

Orlok moves over to stand over the unconscious Belldandy, and he picks her up almost tenderly.

Smiling, he opens his mouth and his fangs move towards her white throat.

Then, before he can bite her, a stake pierces his heart from behind.

The world turns black and white, with the jerky motions of an old film, as Orlok staggers, mortally wounded.

Skuld, carrying a big stake launching gun in her hands, steps into sight.

There is a text screen saying DID YOU REALLY THINK I'D LET YOU HAVE MY SISTER?

Orlok screams silently, opening his arms and throwing his head up to curse the heavens, and then evaporates into dust once again.

THE END.
