So here is where already we get to some of the horror of these more 'Western' Mutants who weren't raised with the Turtles' code of Bushido feeling this is completely unfair that the Ninja Tribunal who they have never met can tell them to go risk their lives showing the West's Idea of individual rights vs the East's idea of collectivism
So that morning as Leo's class started Leo read to them the scroll Ancient One had given him.
"So…" Leo said "...This...White Ronin has summoned...Rover, Stripes, Goku, Shirley, Bacon Bit, Lovelace and...Dana…"
(Dana was not a student, she was a 'Teacher's Assistant' on Von Kaiser and Glass Joe's side but as the students trusted adult who was neither as old as Splinter nor as well known as the Turtles were now, Dana had been the one to accompany the students on their missions like the one to Tibet)
Leo explained to them that this was a deadly game of death where they must face death three times...The students gasped with shock, some of them started to cry...Their sobbing put a lump in Leo's throat but he feared there would be something worse for the students if they didn't comply willingly.
Since Dana wasn't in his Dojo since she was only at the WVBA Gym on when the Boxers taught the students on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Leo realized he had to go to the WVBA Gym and tell them...And he knew he was in for an even worse response than just crying.
"NON!" Glass Joe shouted as he stood up slamming his hands on the table "Absolutely not! Tibet was bad enough and now this!"
Von Kaiser who was Bacon Bit's adoptive Father was keeping himself more controlled but Leo could see the smoldering fire behind his eyes not pleased with what he was hearing at all.
Of course the sounds of crying coming from Leo's school had alerted the adult Mutants of Forest so out of concern sent and alert to Leo's brothers Raphael and Michelangelo even Donatello came from First Earth to see what the shell was going on and when they heard what was being asked of Leo's students they were horrified! What the Ninja Tribunal did with them was one thing, they had trained all their lives to be Ninjas and it was an emergency with the Tengu Shredder about to reemerge...But this White Ronin was claiming to...Simply wanting to test them to see if they were worthy of the Turtles' legacy?
Donatello in particular was beginning to get the feeling that this message had been specifically crafted to play Leo like a fiddle...His obsession with honor and specifically living up to the legacy of Splinter ans Hamato Yoshi...But Don held his tongue...Even though alarm bells in his mind were telling him this reeked of a trap he felt too frozen with fear to go against Leo in matters of honor…
"I'm sorry…" Leo said his voice heavy with emotion "...But I can't say no to the Ninja Tribunal! They were the ones who helped train us the prepare for the Tengu Shredder...Remember that horrible Kaiju-Like Demon just before the Mutant Riots? That was him? It was only because of the Ninja Tribunal we were able to defeat him."
This stunned the Boxers silent remembering the horrors that had come before the Mutant Riots
"And besides…" Leo sighed "...The Tribunal have these...Wooden Warriors, that abducted us to Japan...I fear we don't have a say in the matter...That the Tribunal will have the Students one way or another…"
But just then Shirley the Mutant Goldfish cried out "It's just not fair!"
